    Bounty Bowl with avo

The girl who served me on register, Audra, had the most uplifting attitude, even on this groggy Friday during finals week! She gave wonderful suggestions and made a positive impact on my stressful day. I will be enjoying the yummy Bounty Bowl at the library. Shout out coral tree and Audra!FIVE STARS!!! Coral tree's food is a solid three. Their food is just alright for on campus food and its convenient location makes it a nice place for a quick on campus snack! I've included a photo of the refrigerated breakfast wrap that I microwaved at the front of the shop. It was just potatoes, eggs, and cheese. The potato's were pretty mushy, and the only flavor present was some salt. Again, just a solid three with meh food.

I really struggled with this review because I have so many feeling about what's going on. 1. The staff are really sweet and fun to talk too especially Caroline; she gave me a thoughtful recommendation and I really enjoyed the chicken and warm brown rice. 2. The air condition is a god send. Now for the negatives: 3. They no longer sell parfaits. :( 4. They no longer sell noodles. :( :( 5. They no longer sell a lot things I'm just now noticing. Budget cuts or something, I understand the struggle but still. Anyways, I'll be back just a little adjusting to become used to all the changes.

Products evaluated: Fiesta Bowl - scrambled eggs, Pico di gallo, soybeans (?), fried potatoes Price: $8 [Mark: 77 , Grade: C+] Environment and Hygiene: A rather relaxing ambiance in the morning, but the steel chairs were really uncomfortable. 7.5/10 Portion: Massive for a breakfast!! 15/15 Taste: Satisfactory overall. The potatoes were nicely fried and were soft but the scrambled eggs were very dry. The pico di gallo was a creative addition to the dish. Unfortunately, the slight bitterness and weird texture of the soybean ruined the dish. An interesting combination that did not work out well. 34/50 Service: The food was quickly prepared but the service was unfortunately rather mediocre. 11.75/15 Value: Acceptable. 8.75/10

I never thought I was the kind of person who'd write a review for a campus cafe, but here I am. In my opinion, Coral Tree and Santorini's are the best places to eat on campus, especially if you want fresh food. I come here because they have a flattop, fresh soups, and a deep fryer. The order is the same every time -- a breaded chicken sandwich with fries for $5.80. Everything else is pretty meh, with the exception of the soup. You can find their daily soup menu on Instagram at @ucsbsoupguy, which includes some good clam chowders and even Japanese ramen. How long it takes to get the food from the grill varies. On the bright side, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to wait at, but it can be incredibly annoying when all you want to do is grab your lunch and run back to your office. The line is confusing -- you order on the side for foods, order on the opposite side for drinks (do you make the tea first, or do you order first?), then you pay at the register. You don't get taxed if you're a student. The convenience store section is very small, so I suggest running to the Arbor for your snack needs. Visa and Mastercard only.

All of their drinks contain some type pf powder. Powdered chai anyone? (How hard is it to brew chai?). The whip is store-bought. The drinks are 7-11 quality, but cost $5. So disappointing. Also, the cashier girl killed me when she told me a "latte" is milk only.... Really?.... Some people amaze me. On the other hand, I ate a $5 veggie stir-fry which was overpriced but edible. I miss Berkeley.

When you are on the beautiful UC Santa Barbara Campus and you're just not in the mood to head down to the food court and get lost in the crowd....escape to the quiet and cozy coral tree cafe!!! It is a little further down towards the Students Affair Building and the enormous Campbell Hall and is nestled between lovely red coral trees. They sell the typical Coffees and iced drinks as well as hot breakfast, baked goods, hot lunch, soups, sandwichs, and salads. A nice getaway within the busy school.

My friends and I sat outside as the weather was beautiful over the weekend. Staff was friendly and when we got there, it was already busy. You can tell it's popular as the line in the entry was pretty long. The food was so fresh! I had a sweet hibiscus tea with an egg, bacon & avocado wrap. Everything was tasty and they also have their own hot sauce which was a nice touch.

You can get new tires next door, but while you're waiting, you can catch breakfast or lunch. Outdoors, there's a lot of seating. Wooden tables and wicker chairs. Awnings and large umbrella coverings. You pay first, and then they seat you. There's some seating indoors, but it's limited, compared to outdoors. I ordered a latte ($5.50) and avocado toast ($16). They add a 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. There is a window for to-go orders, but if you're dining in, you place your order with the gal at the podium. I have to say, although there were two staff working on drinks, my latte took a while. Luckily, it came before the food. There was a staff member waiting at the counter and delivering just drinks. Once I got my latte, it tasted good. Strong. I felt the caffeine. The avocado toast was good, too. It was served in a shallow metal dish. Thick, high quality, Artisan bread. I enjoyed the toasted pumpkin seeds. I would definitely order it again, but open to ordering something else on the menu next time. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and efficient. There was another gentleman standing in the back, immediately clearing tables. It's better if you come earlier on the weekends. There was a line of people when I was leaving. There's plenty of free street parking. I parked across the street.

Everything is high quality and fresh for reasonable prices. Charming, cozy decor with Danish accents. Service is also excellent and warm. Quiche with Hollandaise Sauce - Light, buttery flaky crust, light, fluffy eggs. Absolutely delightful, leeks provided good texture. Came with a strip of bacon. Was so amazing hardly ate the sauce. Don't think you can sub salad for fries but no worries, as the breakfast potatoes were amazing. Many places offer breakfast potatoes but something seemingly simple is actually hard to make well. My friend's Bratwurst Sausage with Eggs, her favorite, was hearty and filling. A lot of indoor seating but we enjoyed our table outside, watching pedestrians on State St. and enjoying the beautiful scenery and architecture. We expected to wait to be seated but surprisingly it wasn't that busy. Order at counter and the food is brought to your table. As we waited, employee kindly gave us two free pastry samples, both delicious. All the baked goods I got to go I want again. Their scones are fabulous-slightly crunchy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Their tea service which comes with champagne is pricey, I believe $75 per person. But interior is a perfect colorful and relaxed setting for tea. My tastebuds dream of coming back. Will be thrilled when I next indulge on their pastries and quiche.

SCORE 0 HEALTH HAZARD 10…read more This is our third time we've had issues with the staff. Today is our last time going here. There was only one person in line and 4 staff members behind the counter standing around talking to each other. Nobody greeted us or asked for our bakery order. When I said excuse me to a dirty blond girl she replied "WHAT!" and continued to joke with a co worker. When the cashier finished with their customer they walked away and even though they saw we were waiting to be helped. I looked around and saw nobody helping seated customers or us at the bakery counter. Finally, the dirty blonde ask what we need and my response was "WHAT" ?! At this point we should have left and gone to Lilac Patisserie however we proceeded to give her our order. I told another customer behind us that rudeness seems to be the norm, and she agreed. I paid for our bakery items and asked an older woman scrolling on her phone if we could have a bag for all of our boxed treats. She grabbed a handful of bags and threw them at me from across the counter. We were appalled and left. We found a place to sit on State street to eat our treats and my daughter said she didn't want her Meringue because the dirty blonde girl used the back of her ungloved hand to repeatedly wipe her nose. We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. It was also an epiphany that they don't treat everyone this way. It could be you next time. Please go somewhere else. We will never go to anywhere but Lilac Patisserie which is to the left as you exit Andersons, past the stop light. You will definitely get your money's worth and the staff is friendly, professional, and greet you immediately as you reach the counter.

It's 15 for a drink but 54 dollars for a pitcher. We ended up getting the Agua Chile Margarita pitcher. It was on the spicy side which we enjoyed. As for entrees we had the BBQ Bacon Burger and the Breakfast Sando. Both were tremendously tasty! Each comes with three potatoes that are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. All in all was solid, tasty, and a cute little location! Would recommend for family brunch, brunch with your girlfriends, or a date brunch. Can't comment on parking as we walked there.

Caesar salad with pulled chicken was good and sizable, too. Enough for 3+ to share if ordering as a starter. The Paloma salad with optional wagyu tri tip add on was tasty and also enough to share. Mocktails were enjoyed by the kids. Service was so/so. We weren't told about items they'd run out of UNTIL we'd ordered them. Water refills were slow, but we were pressed to order our entrees immediately with the starters, which was bothersome. In the end, it turned out kids eat free on Sunday nights, so a few of those got comped, and left us feeling happy with the experience.

The first thing I appreciated was how efficiently everything was set up. Ordering at the counter before finding a table kept the process organized and moving, even during a busy brunch rush. Once our food was ready, everything came out promptly, making it easy for our group to relax and enjoy the morning together. The restaurant itself is absolutely charming. It's bright, welcoming, and has that classic Santa Barbara café feel that's effortlessly inviting. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between lively and laid-back, making it an ideal spot for everything from a casual breakfast to celebrating a special occasion. The food was just as memorable as the ambiance. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, with generous portions that left everyone at our table happy. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, creating a warm experience from the moment we walked in. Whether you're visiting Santa Barbara for the weekend or you're a local looking for a dependable brunch spot, Jeannine's is well worth the stop. Great food, thoughtful service, an efficient ordering system, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger over coffee a little longer. I can definitely see why it's such a popular brunch destination, and I'd happily return the next time I'm in town.
