Cork & Cow exceeded my expectations. Our meal and service were excellent. Reservations are a must for a table. Saturdays in particular seem to book quickly. I made a reservation a month in advance after failing to get reservations several other times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is cozy with booths, tables, and a bar area on the first floor. A second floor balcony holds some tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was excellent. He was professional and attentive. The drink options here are solid. The cocktail options are unique, bourbon flights are offered, and they have a nice selection of wines. It took me some time to choose which direction I'd go. I went with the Queen of Diamonds. This was excellent. It had stone fruit infused vodka, champagne, citrus oil, guava, ginger liqueur, and lime. My husband enjoyed his bourbon flight. It included three local selections from Leiper's Fork Distillery and Stable Reserve. We started with the Poached Red Shrimp and House Bread. The House Bread is something I'll be craving until next time. The herb bread and Parmesan black pepper butter were an excellent combination. The salt, herbs, and black pepper spice were great together. The Poached Red Shrimp had fun flavors. I enjoyed the citrus, oil, and pickled raisins flavor combination. The Filet was excellent. It had the perfect char on the outside with tender meat inside. I enjoyed the Gorgonzola Horseradish butter, but the steak was great without it. The complimentary House Potatoes on the side were very good too. They were a little crispy and the herbs on top added plenty of flavor. My husband loved his Strip Steak. We were too full for dessert, but I'll have to try next time. The desserts on surrounding tables looked great. Cork & Cow was an excellent dining experience for downtown Franklin. I'm already looking forward to a return visit.

Don't walk, look, or wish went anymore, just run here. Cork and Cow takes my expectations for a night out dinner to a new and extremely elevated place from a small indiscreet entrance in downtown Franklin. Starting with the burrata and greens salad. There is a light drizzle on the greens of some type of dressing that I could not put my finger on, nothing overpowering just a nice light addition. The burrata itself was incredibly fresh and delicious. Asparagus is one thing I usually judge a restaurant on VERY hard. These were cooked exactly how I want them. Wood fired, burnt tips, soft and not hard. Hollandaise was a nice flavorful addition and pepper could be tasted on them as well. Black pepper gnocchi. I am not typically a big gnocchi guy, these might have changed my mind. Simple, elegant, al dente. Not much more to say. The house salad was extremely crisp and fresh. You can always tell when a salad is fresh at restaurants, light drizzle of dressing and addition of what I believe to be salami was a nice touch. The Dr. Pepper Quail. I still dream of this dish to this day. I will never forget it. Tabasco dressing for a light kick, a jam of some sorts and green goddess aioli. I would eat this everyday if I could. Filet with black truffle topping. Seasoned, cooked and served to absolute perfection. There is nothing I would change about this, salt and pepper seasoning was perfect. Lastly the focaccia loaf. Beautiful iron skillet bread loaf, soft, with lots of whipped butter on top. This is my favorite meal I may have ever had. The menu is seasonal, the staff is experienced and very attentive. I could not ask for anything else from a restaurant.

This steak house has been on my radar for years and let me tell you it delivered on every level. The steak perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sides were amazing. The apps were also great even though I believe we only had some bread and even that was awesome. You'll need to make reservations in advance or I doubt you're getting a table. They do own 2 other restaurants right next door that are also highly recommended. You've got to try to this place if in Franklin Tn. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh don't forget the ambiance is simple elegant and perfect to romantic evening out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta

Had a fabulous dinner at Cork & Cow in downtown Franklin recently! Our server Carrie was so kind and attentive and gave us great recommendations on the drinks and appetizers! Queen of Diamonds (Stone Fruit Infused Vodka, Canton Ginger Liqueur, Guava, Citrus Oil, Lime, Champagne) - perfect balance of slight sweetness + slight tartness. 11/10 Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta (Straciatella, Bacon, Balsamic, Sourdough) - made with local tomatoes and they were absolutely the star of this dish so much so that even the bread being slightly burnt was overlooked! Marinated in balsamic but not overdone or mushy at all, paired well with the cheese and the homemade sourdough. Caesar Salad (Romaine, Creamy Garlic Dressing, Seasoned Breadcrumb, Grana Padano) - our least favorite thing of the night but it was still good - we can be picky about our Caesars and this one had a lighter dressing and crushed croutons so it felt like it was lacking and we were missing the crunch. Filet - fantastic! They were seasoned great and cooked perfectly to what we ordered, definitely one of the best steaks we've had! (served with house potatoes) Baked Truffle Gnocchi (Brown Butter, Parmesan) - delicious! Gnocchi was cooked well and I could put that black truffle brown butter sauce on everything! Grilled Broccolini - great cook, no notes needed. White Chocolate Amaretto Cheesecake (Peach, Raspberry, Almond, Chantilly) - just a really good cheesecake. Key Lime + Strawberry (Graham, Churro Tuile, Sabayon) - so good, key lime flavor shined.

Me and my husband lucked out and were able to get seated at the bar. Highly recommended to make reservations if you want a table. The bartenders, Joe and AP, were amazing and very helpful with any questions about the food, drinks, and where else to visit. It's a very clean, low light, comfortable setting. They have tables upstairs too. All servers were polite and helpful. We started off with drinks. My husband had an Old Fashion and I tried a French 75. We were very impressed with the experience that was put into our drinks. We ordered their house bread which is a delightful round loaf of sourdough bread topped with a special seasoned butter. Since we planned to visit other places, we shared a filet with potatoes, an accompaniment of a lobster tail, and cream spinach as a side. Everything was delicious. I ordered their house bread steak medium well, knowing it would come out closer to medium and it was perfect. I strongly recommend to visit this beautiful restaurant. On a side note, it has 2 sister restaurants: 55 South and The Red Pony. 55 South is connected to Cork & Cow by the bathroom hallway.

Walking old Franklin? Drop in as early as 4:00 pm Saturday, limited service at the bar until 5:00 pm. Service is excellent at the full bar, with an expansive domestic and continental wine list. Executive Chef Jake Plahuta swears by the Bruschetta and the Scallops which are both particularly good, lots of flavors, perfectly prepared. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting is a chic steakhouse, with subdued lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am not one to leave reviews, but last night my husband and I went to Cork and cow and hands-down is the best dinner I've ever had in my life.. We've lived in Franklin for a few years and haven't made our way over. And this will now be our special occasions dinner place! The steak was 100% the best steak I've ever had in my life, the lamb chops were insane, in the service was also amazing. Will definitely be back honestly can't say enough good things about it.

So good! We went on a Sunday night where they do half of wine and it was just a great dinner. The waitress was patient when I asked many questions and all of the food was great. I did the lamb chops app, wedge salad and asparagus. My husband got the salmon. It also just felt like a really cozy spot on a rainy day! Great place!

We went a bit overboard on the oyster appetizer with minuet sauce.

What a gem! A group of us went this week for a celebratory dinner and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The historic setting is cozy and the menu is expansive. We started with an oyster Rockefeller style dish and wine and cocktails. I ordered the filet and truffle gnocchi which was rich and perfectly prepared. The group split 2 desserts and a unique cream cheese ice cream. The service couldn't be better with a knowledgeable and professional staff. Don't sleep on this amazing place next time you are in downtown Franklin, TN.

Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. In spite of my initial concerns -- the hiccups of a confusing menu and our less-than-energetic waitress -- we all left with pleased palates.

Server could not have been kinder. Almost too nice, to the point of it being annoying, but he was genuine so it made it better. We got the firecracker shrimp for the table which were addictive! Perfect crunch, not too much breading, and great spice level. Crab cakes had huge chunks of lump meat, you got what you paid for. The dipping sauce they came with was quite nice. Brussels sprouts... hands down THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. I want the recipe. I don't know how to describe them, but sweet and salty, good char, a little heat, tender inside, melt in your mouth. Caesar salad as fine, but just a typical one, nothing great about it. Dressing tasted bottled and the croutons were lacking, but it wasn't bad. My dad enjoyed the burger. Clean inside, nice decor. 9/10 experience. Expensive, but worth it for what you received.
