Came to Memphis for the BBQ as I always heard it was good, asked around and I was recommended this place multiple times so I figured I'd try them out. The place is small and the drive thru was somewhat slow but I understood. The menu online and the menu in the drive thru isn't the same or at least hasn't been updated. The original combo I wanted that I saw online wasn't on the menu and neither was a few items. So I made due with what was available. There wasn't any green beans so I got baked beans instead. The price wasn't bad and would've been about the same where I live so I wasn't offended. The food wasn't really what I was expecting. The wings were just okay, the smoked flavor was very mild and the blue cheese was watery. The loaded fries presentation wasn't the best, but the product itself was actually good. I would've preferred no beans but maybe it's a Memphis thing. The baked beans were nasty, too much liquid and onions but again, maybe it's a Memphis thing. The mac and cheese was horrible! It definitely did not taste like someone made it, more like a heated up product. The saving grace were the meats. The ribs were good, not great but the brisket and pulled chicken are two things that actually got right! I would recommend them to anyone thinking about trying this place out. As a visitor from Texas, I felt at home immediately upon entering. We were greeted warmly to a wooden cabin with colorful and artistic memorabilia. Nice old-school music playing in the background. Tony attended to us and took such good care. Always had a drink to keep my thirst quiet. Felt hungry and Tony set up dry half slab ribs with some burnt ends. The ribs had a nice subtle sweet/ hot rub. The ribs easily beat out many Texas bbq ribs with the delicate tenderness, and moist meat. Tried out this drive-thru Memphis BBQ spot on a Sunday. I'm normally a brisket guy (ATX), but am certainly open-minded. There were a few other highly rated BBQ places closed that day. Tried 1/3 Slab of Pork Ribs (Wet rub) and another 1/3 Slab (Dry Rub). Verdict: Dry Rub was really good and well-Salted. Wet rub's Barbecue sauce had great flavor, was okay. Sides were good, not sure about the potatoes ( a bit too much mayo or sour cream for my taste). Green potatoes were good, hush puppies were ok, their spaghetti with meat sauce was tasty. First time here and was excited to try some Memphis bbq. Saw the reviews and decided to give this chain a chance. Food looked great. Mac/cheese and mixed greens were cool. Unfortunately the ribs were overcooked, flavorless and wound up being uneatable. The ribs were so tough. I'm used to ribs falling off the bone. Not these. Went there for a good dinner. Order a reasonably priced chicken sandwich. A few minutes later, the waiter comes out of the kitchen with a piece of fried chicken on a bun so big that if I dropped it I would cause a 7.7 magnitude earthquake, essentially destroying the Memphis area. So cool! Place was very quiet which makes no sense due to the size of the chicken they are serving. If you come here, prepare to get your socks blown off. read more

On 1/16/26 around 8pm I ordered food and my drivers kept cancelling once they got to the store. I was finally able to reach one who told me they said my food got stolen and I guess no one cared enough to call or cancel the order. I decided to order again and I called the store and confirmed they had my order.... Then drivers kept cancelling again. I got ahold of one of the new drivers who told me they said I had no order. I tried to call the store back and the lady kept 'transferring me to the kitchen' where it went to voicemail. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We arrived shortly before 6, and waited 15 minutes before our waitress checked on us. That was the warning sign, which we stupidly ignored. The meal started off strong with the bread and butter. Sadly, it went downhill from there. My half rack of ribs (wet) was cold. I sent it back and it returned... still cold. The beans were even colder. And the cole slaw had a hair in it! Not kidding; see the pic. Lost my appetite. By the time the server got back to offer us dessert, it was 7:30. It's been a few years since we stopped in at Corky's. We usually stop for lunch on our way back from the Gulf Coast. We were impressed with all the updates they made. The place looks fantastic. It also happens to be their 40 Anniversary and we ordered their full slab for 2 for $19.84. It was just as amazing as it always has been and such a great deal! We had wet and dry ribs that were both flavorful and tender. Our sides were coleslaw, cream with a little mustardy taste, fries, seasoned, and beans. Overall the experience was average. Service was just fine but the food lacked the wow factor I was looking for for in Memphis bbq. I have been all over the USA and tried lots of different bbq and cuisine. I am definitely not a food snob but I know great food that makes you talk about it to others Start with the sides. Greens and Cole slaw were the best out of what we tried. I passed on the white cheader cheese grits, but I should have thrown those in the mix. Hush puppies were dry and Mac n cheese was good but not anything that separated from other places Now for the main course. The meats. I went for the Captain Don (4 meats) to try a bit off all. Got the ribs dry and they were fall of the bone. Season was on the outside only with a dry crust. Didn't really seep into the ribs, but overall best meat on the plate. However the rest was disappointing. The pulled chicken and pork were lukewarm and seemed like it had been the lunch leftovers. But pulled pork is always a staple in the south and you really want it to pop with or without sauce. Last but not least. The brisket. The most expensive item was dry and closer to well. I prefer mine more juicy and more pink. Not even that much char on the edges. Ribs, pulled pork and brisket should be your stables with at least two jumping off the plate to your mouth. Overall I really wanted something special from Memphis and Corky's, but that meal failed to win me over or desire my return trip.
