Good portions/flavor. Food was cold. All of it. Lame. The gluten free toast was good, also cold though..... I did mention but it didn't seem to matter. Ok, I'm going to be honest about Corner Bakery Cafe. Delicious Lemonade, Coffee, and Baked Goods. But, when it comes to the food, not too impressed... I used to love their Pesto Cavatappi, as it was a delicious, filling, and comfort food worthy dish. But, I took a break from it, and for a good reason. It is supposed to include chicken, but I got hard, overcooked bits of disgusting bacon. As I dig in with my fork, what do I see? Long, thick pieces of hair. YUCK! Un-sanitary and Un-appetizing. I decided to give them another chance, but yet again, I got pieces of hair and the gross bacon. The cleanliness of the kitchen doesn't seem to be very great..... Wouldn't recommend coming here, unless they stop using hair as their secret ingredient. read more

Was disappointed this morning when I ordered the bacon avocado egg bowl. The avocado was so disappointing I would have rather them left it out than given me the yucky avocado slices. They provide a fruit salad side for $1.50 but charge $2.50 if that's all you feel up to eating. It contains only green apple (a handful or so - some with noticeable bruising), pineapple (2 pieces), grapes (also only 2), and cantaloupe (a few delicious pieces and some very unripe pieces). The place uses blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and possibly other fruits in their dishes but you don't get any in your fruit salad. I should have gone to a store and then made my own fruit salad, clearly. I had been up all night except maybe for an hour. I had a consultation at 8 am to have surgery. Apparently, I should have checked out what the hospital offers. I ordered a lemon bar afterwards. It was completely stuck to the paper it was tightly wrapped in. I lost all of the powdered sugar as a result of trying to get through Fort Knox. Ridiculous. The lemon bar was easily one of the best I've had. My daughter ordered a salad that contained some old nasty looking lettuce. Perhaps they should do a better job of making salad. She said the flavor was a bit undesirable. The muffin she ordered looked delicious, I mean, it was chocolate, but, it was disappointing to us both. The cream cheese brownie brought us back to blissful indulgence. She ate all of her toffee cookie without sparing a tasty bite to me. So, yeah, I'd go back for the lemon bar. I'm can't deal with a shortage on fruit very often! The ambiance was very Oregon, but, this, sadly, isn't an Oregon restaurant. It really should be! Use Oregon berries, cheese, etc. You'd have my vote!! Similar in concept to Panera, Corner Bakery is a "bistro" style restaurant and a welcome addition to Tukwila/Southcenter. Stars Stars Stars Stars for consistent outstanding service, after numerous eat in and to go visits to this location the crew has met and exceeded my expectations, they are very enthusiastic and happy to please. Now the nitty gritty details, food is ok, in my opinion their salads are the best they have, pastries are decent, more like store bough quality, even safeway muffins are better, and lastly strong coffee is good, but brewed and espresso drinks here were harsh, thick, overly bitter, with a lack of flavor, I love coffee and couldn't even finish half a cup. That said, I would still recommend Corner Bakery, worthy of a visit is you are close by and want a quick bite. read more

Our food came out super fast, maybe too fast. I ordered the breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. They forgot the bacon and the rest of the food wasn't hot. The bacon was the cheap kind and floppy. My husband ordered a scramble breakfast with toast, potatoes, and a sausage patty. They forgot the potatoes and the sausage was cold. Cold sausage isn't good! The small orange juice container was $4 which was overpriced. This is really a coffee shop with baked goods and a few "hot" breakfast items. I would think with only a few hot breakfast options and two cooks in the back we would have received what we ordered and that it would have been hot. Had a coupon for a free soup so I decided to give this place a try. The first thing though is apple maps put me up by REI when this place is next to Chang's. The manager/cashier? was pretty awesome and helped me out. Unfortunately, they were out of my first choice for soup, but I got the tortilla soup and it was pretty decent. Comes with a focaccia bread that is well salted. The soup has a lot of sodium and then I had the ham and swiss on pretzel bread (again more salt). All in all, it was pretty tasty. I didn't get to ask, but if I go again, I'd ask if I can swap breads from the one listed on the menu. I'd put this establishment in the same realm as Panera. read more

Not what it used to be. My wife and I went last weekend and the portions were no more than half what they usually are: half full cup of chicken noodle that was mostly broth, a sandwich with half the meat, a side salad that didn't even fill up 20% of the plate, a half-full pasta bowl -- and no garlic bread with the pasta. We normally wouldn't say anything -- but it was so obvious because EVERYTHING was 1/2 what it usually was. We used to go at least 2-3 times a month, but don't think we'll go back again. read more

I had never been here before but wanted to try some of their desserts. We went in and it took almost 5min for someone to show up. That only happened because the employee on his break or lunch got up and went in back. By this time no line turned into a decent line. Then all we ordered was two desserts that were in the display case below us. She asked us our name so she could call us when it was ready. That was confusing as there was nothing to make but we gave her a name. She then proceeded to box up the desserts but leave them on the counter and continue taking orders. This place was absolutely disgusting. They didn't even have the decency to wrap tinfoil around the burrito (it was to-go order). The actual tortilla was literally stale, when I called later in the afternoon to ask for a refund, the manager confirmed that other people also complained and that they had discovered a bag was left open overnight. I'd say the review bar is about 3.3 this morning on this joint. I agree with that. This place is sorta high quality Denny's meets Panera - fast casual breakfast. The food was dutiful, decent even. Nothing spectacular but certainly fresh ingredients and nice flavors. The service was good, from the counter folks to the bussers everyone had their game faces on. They did a good job with the kid menus and crayons. Many places totally half-ass this detail, but this one had four pristine crayolas ready to do some coloring Van Damage. They had a cutesie little scene on a piece of paper and my boy colored the crap out of it. Of course them trees were blue and them clouds was red. I'm not coming here when I want fussy, blow your mismatched socks off breakfast, but it'll be on the list next time I have some time to kill and I don't want some busted ass McMuffin. read more

Good location in Tanasbourne. Staff was nice and friendly. The place has a good capacity, and is clean and well maintained and has a modern feel to it. Food came quick enough. The white chocolate mint latte was really good (if you're into mint), so was the tomato basil soup, and so was the chicken panini. We made sure by confirming twice to make everything vegan, no cheese and meat, but, unfortunately, they brought the salad topped with chicken all over. I felt like puking, anyways, they did replace the salad, not sure if it was chicken removed or freshly done, but the presence of cheese in both made it hard to eat. My sister in law is absolutely in love with this place. She's the one that brought me here. Corner Bakery Cafe replaced where Zoopa used to be, on the street corner across Target and near the Dollar Store. I haven't been to Panera Bread in awhile but I think I prefer this place over Panera. The food tastes really fresh, well-balanced and good flavor. I have yet to try their pastries but when I'm here the portions are great and I have no room for dessert! I've eaten here, gotten orders to go, and have ordered from delivery services for this place. Definitely had some things missed but overall this place is amazing. Way better then Panera. My favorite is the club. When you order online from their website there are tons of imagine of things you can add. When you order from doordash or ubereats there aren't as many choices. So if I'm able I pick it up myself. The side Cesar salad is perfect, the dressing isn't overly tangy. My sister has had some of their pasty items and they're good. I had a breakfast sandwich delivered and it was soggy by the time it got to me, but still tasty. Again something I'd eat there or pick up. 100% recommend this place! read more

First of all I want to say we were trying to find a Restaurant call Zoopa which I had gone to for years till we moved away from this area, but was now out of business , but low and behold at the same location opened a new cafe called Corner Bakery and Cafe opened in May of 2016 Corner Bakery and Cafe is a franchise out of the south. It services bakery goods, fresh deli type sandwiches, soups salads and an array of hot foods. So my wife and decided to have one of their homemade soups and a dish of Mac & Cheese. The soups were great but the Mac & Cheese looked and tasted like wet water elbow noodles with some kind of cheese sauce that would not stick to the noodles. I took the dish back up to the night manager ( Jeff ) and said he was sorry , but would he please let him personally go back and make the Mac & Jack. I agreed and when ( Jeff ) came back with the way he would make it, I would say that it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Now mind you this was only Mac & Cheese and is not on a list of find dinning items. He changed an unhappy customer who would have not come back to recommending this new restaurants. I love my share of bakeries. And there just aren't too many in my area. Which is strange, so when I end up in need of a baked treat, bar, cake or pie, it's usually to Whole Foods or New Seasons. But, Corner Bakery is nice, since it's a quick jump out of the car, sit inside or order to go, a sweet treat, breakfast sandwich, or lunch. First time I came here, I had a coupon for a kids free meal, and it was Mac and cheese we were craving! We saw they had that, so off to Corner Bakery we went. That's what daughter and I got, a kids Mac and cheese, a veggie panini, and a few treats just to get because you know, I couldn't walk outta there without treat when a big glass case full of tasty carby sugary baked goods staring at us in the face!! No way!! When I pulled up I coulda sworn it was a IHOP from the outside with trendier colors and more modern lines. As the big printed posters of pancakes and eggs plastered on the Windows were so IHOP-esqe, I decided against breakfast because it was way too breakfasty for my liking. (Only thing I ever usually get breakfast-wise is bacon. Or a pancake here and there). And then walking into the restaurant (I call it a restaurant now as it was full on plates of sausages and French toast on the patrons plates I saw, not so much a bakery) I realized, okay, wait, this is way too a panera bread look alike too not be a franchise. :( And guess what...it is a franchise. I found out after I googled it. Hence the way too plastic perfectness of it. Not the more rugged homey feeling I was looking for. But it was good I googled it after my venture here, so I didn't judge it as a franchise, but I figured it out obviously. Anyways, back to the food. The Mac and cheese comes with 3 cheeses and breadcrumbs on top, and you can add bacon or other things to it. Daughter got it plain with nothing but cheese. (She's deathly afraid of anything more then simple ingredients and no condiments, condiments are evil). She and I loved it. It was ooey gooey, cheesy, not orange, and noodles al dente. Yay! I was in a vegetarian mood, so I got the veggie panini on a whole grain seedy bread. Very good actually, grilled nicely, but could have used more salt. And I'm not a very salty girl. So prob even more salt for the normal person. It tasted like a sandwich I would have whipped up at home. I think that's a good thing. It was well done. Now the treats... I will go back for those without a doubt and I already have..a few times. The pecan maple bar, is to DIE for. It's like a serious pecan pie bar done fabulously. The blueberry hand pie was also fantastic. The dough was flaky and moist, blueberries inside were juicy/creamy filling (make sense?), just awesome. Bundt cakes too were delicious and velvety. I took husband here and we were in need of a quick breakfast sandwich, think starbx breakfast sandwich like, we enjoy those because they are the closest to being a healthy choice sandwich. And it was cool, because we buy these breads from Winco called "Flat Outs", they are really thin bread buns with whole grains, low carbs and low calories. Anyways, they use these here as a substitute for the high carb bagels or English muffins. Yes!!! We both were thrilled, so nice when we don't have time to make one at home, we know where to go!! :) They call them "flats" here, with any kind of egg, meats, or veggies on it. Just yummy. Service was great, and quick. They have a full menu of breakfast and lunch items. Big coffee bar area, lots of pastries, (daughter got a buttery croissant, yes, simple), and they have a large seating area, it is a perfect place for a quick biz meeting or an easy alone studying time. Fast friendly and consistent service I love you can order online and just run in grab it and go

I've eaten here 5-10 times. But after today, I think I'm done. At the beginning, we made some allowances because it was new, so some kinks were to be expected. Except it just gets worse and worse every time. The last time I got a fruit cup, some of the fruit was beyond over-ripe and just plain rotten. Mushy, slimy, spoiled. Today, we picked up our food after ordering online. We could see our bag of food sitting there ready for us, but we had to wait close to 5 minutes while several employees were behind the counter helping the customer in front of us. The cashier seemed extra confused about our online order. My husband ordered a salad/pasta combo. The chicken was completely missing from his pasta. (Isn't that most of what we paid for?) I ordered a panini and caesar salad. Our salads both consisted almost totally of brown, limp, super-wilted lettuce with some croutons and parmesan. My husband ate about half. I also ate about half of mine before giving up and started on my sandwich. About 3 bites in, something fell out. I picked it up, and discovered it was a small piece of nearly raw bacon. I hoped it was a fluke and opened up the sandwich to find that about half of the bacon was almost raw. (Seriously, one slice of bacon was mostly cooked on one end, and the other end totally raw, as if it had been hanging off the grill.) I picked all the bacon off but couldn't bring myself to finish even half. (I'll be adding photos of the bacon and lettuce.) We also paid $1 extra to add avocado to this panini, and there were... two slices *total* between both halves of the sandwich. (A slice and a half on one half, and half a slice on the other.) I usually pull some turkey out of my sandwich for my little old cat, but I didn't want to give her any meat that might have been touching the uncooked bacon out of fear of giving her food poisoning. I second what one of the reviews below has mentioned. There were 10 people standing behind the counter and it seemed like everyone was clueless as to what was going on. We asked for coffee and cake and mentioned that we will be having it at the café. We were given our coffee in Togo cups. The coffee was not hot. We requested for the cake to be warmed. Any guesses on what happened ? No, it wasn't warmed. We re requested for it to be warmed. Had plans to meet some friends on Memorial Day and called just in case (open until 6pm) and decided to get together at 10am The set up is nice as there is a clear pathway to order and kids menus along with nutritional info right when you walk in. Stepping up to order, the menu was all breakfast items but do know they serve lunch items too (maybe they switch out the menu boards when it gets to lunch time). I ordered the berry almond oats and asked if it was my first time here by I believe the manager (as she was not in the uniform shirt but a pink blouse). I told her it was and she explained to put my number card on top of the salt and pepper shaker at my seat, then my order will be served to me and to leave my dishes when done too. As they handmake the oat dishes, she said it could take a little bit longer, I waited 10 minutes and by then the rest of the party showed up so it was perfect timing. For the price of 6.99 it kept me full for four hours and was a light but filling breakfast. Also, an employee came to ask how everything was as well. I did like how the drink station had all the condiments organized neatly and everything like napkins, straws, and lids for even water cups in one place. The only downside could be that in the women's restroom the changing table was inside the large stall and there were only two stalls. Other than that, the bathroom was very clean and stocked. I can see myself coming back to try their bakery items as their cinnamon rolls looked really good and the service they provide. The McDonald's of breakfast places!i needed a quick breakfast and that's definitely what I gotno ordered the American Scrambler and coffee fit $9.38. Not a bad price really until I got my food. The eggs were powdered I believe (at least they appeared that way). The county potatoes were raw. The coffee, in contrast, was good and plenty of jelly for my unbuttered toast. My guess is this is a large chain popular with people used to Starbucks breakfast which is fine if you like that sort of food. Not the place for a good breakfast.
