They should really close this place . I thought it was the entire brand that was going down but last week i ate at a corner bakery in OC and the food was good so i decided this weekend to eat at the one in northridge and give it a second chance and oh my ‍ was it gross, again !!! . The food was nasty , the cookies were stale and the guy at the counter used the same gloves to wipe down the counter , grab my cookie and sweep the floor . They always got some sort of deal going on. This deal is for two breakfast entrees for $9.99. Got a power egg bowl which is like a briefest salad and the pancake combo (pictured below) with four pancakes and a hefty portion of bacon and eggs. I'm not big on bacon but hiding from my dogs face, he loved the bacon! It also came with a free drink! You find me a promo that does all that for $9.99. The food itself is definitely on par with what I'd say diner foods. It doesn't feel all greased out so that is a big difference and loved every bite of it. Try going to corner bakery for breakfast. Every response from her was disgust that that we were dining at the establishment. Other comments "anything else?", "is that it?". The worst experience I've had in a long time. This place has gone downhill. I came on a Sunday with my family and waited a very long time and got a cold and overcooked omelette. It was reheated and the avocado slices turned brown. The place was dirty and smelled in addition to being understaffed. The cashier was also working in the back in addition to serving the food and I felt sorry for her. I won't be back! read more

That restaurant used to be nice and clean, but now it looks like a Love's restroom. The food has greatly deteriorated over the years with smaller portions and not enough condiments on the sandwiches. The manager must have been hired that morning. He was unfamiliar with the menu as he kept trying to give my wife the wrong order. He insisted he was correct, not her, until a waitress heard what he was saying and told him he was wrong. And yes...he told the waitress she was wrong too! read more

Sad to say this and give a bad review to a place I once loved and frequented on a weekly basis. I hadn't been for a while, life, patterns, etc made us try other places but today decided to go back to our old stomping ground. What a HUGE disappointment. It's a Sunday and the place is fairly empty. Now I know why... there was a slow stream of people coming in, I could see certain items looked good such as the pancakes, and my daughter said her salad was good on a different date. Todays experience just wasn't that, it was actually awful as we ordered things we have in the past. First off, Berry Swiss Almond- I think we must be once if the originals to order this. Now the bowl is TINY. Not only small, but barely any oatmeal under the berries. Plus the plate has gone up $4 so that was a huge disappointment. Second, the all American plate. The bacon is now that CHEAP paper thin, tasteless bacon like the one from Dennys as opposed to the good, thick cut bacon they were known for. The potatoes we're cold and tasteless, no peppers or onions ... kind of hard, toast was cold. He set the whole tray on the table and Just left it, didn't take the plates off the tray - sadly everyone in here seems miserable. It may be a very thankless job, the place lacks the vibrant, cool Corner Bakery feel it used to have. I'm not sure it's going to survive with this cutting of food quality and quantity .. people notice. It's not due to inflation, the prices have gone up enough to compensate for food ... this is just additional cuts that people will notice and like me, not return. Although Corner Bakery has a nice atmosphere, the food and service it's horrible. The eggs aren't fresh, they're eggs from a box, not freshly cracked eggs. The eggs have no flavor or taste to them, regardless of how much salt and pepper you add to them. The bacon had an odd taste and texture to them. After a couple bites, this bacon will make better landfill, then to satisfy your taste buds. The person working the register lacked knowledge of the menu and items offered here. A suggestion to management would be to properly educate staff members about the menu and items offered. However, the lack luster tasting food won't have me coming back for more. read more

I asked to have my garlic bread replaced with the chips, which I have done each visit since I started coming to Corner Bakery about 7 years ago. I had to buy them as a side if I wanted them. Weird. Then as I was waiting for my order a family came in and said they needed just a few seconds to look over the menu, and the girl left the station to do some other things, and I watched the family look around to be helped.
