To put it simply, this is one of the best beef stew noodle soups I've had, and I keep coming back for it. Every time I come, the quality remains so consistent. What makes this dish unique here is the beef itself is perfect - flavorful, tender, and almost falls apart in your mouth. The tendon similarly is soft and well seasoned. It's hard to find beef noodle soups that is so balanced and it's usually a hit whenever I bring someone here with me for the first time. The servers work fast and the restaurant has a lot of tables. They refreshed the look of their menu, and it is now really easy to read and order. If you like beef noodle soup, you need to try this one!
I've neve been to Taiwan but I imagine that this restaurant is close to what they serve there. My family likes the beef noodle soup here and recommends it to friends. Pricing is more than other places but the portion is large enough to have leftovers or feed two so it's acceptable. I get the tendon only beef noodle soup, as I like the texture of well cooked tendon so much. The flavor of the broth is rich and concentrated. The noodles have a bouncy chew texture and doesn't soak up the broth even when refrigerated overnight. The amount and size of tendon they give here is phenomenal, never seen quality and quantity like this really justifies the pricing. The wonton soup is also a large portion, that is sharable. The wontons are different from Hong Kong style, a big size and just ground meat no shrimp. I wouldn't order this again as the beef noodle soup is just so much better. Chilled cucumber salad was addicting and small enough portion to be finished off in one sitting. Crunchy and marinated in a quick pickle this was so yummy as a side dish. You can order soup to-go or even refrigerated so you can reheat at home in your own convenience. Limited menu but if you do one thing right it's all you need. Service was attentive and pleasant, cash payment is encouraged as you get a slight discount compared with card.
According to my friend, Reddit says this place has the best Taiwanese beef noodle soup in SGV and after going today, I'd say that is accurate! Absolutely loved the soup. Super flavorful and the braised beef was so tender and tasty, thick noodles were perfectly cooked. One bowl was enough to share because we also got popcorn chicken, fried pork chop, and Taiwanese sausage. Everything was just so good, I'm still salivating thinking about it.
I had an adequate experience at Corner Beef Noodle House (El Monte). I ordered the Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($16.47). I loved its springy, fresh noodles; however, the soft, jelly-like beef is mildly bitter like burnt blood. It's an acquired taste. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 3% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Corner Beef Noodle House (El Monte) on Sunday (around 5PM). Parking is easy. The lot is spacious. Staff is cordial and efficient. Staff quickly took my order. My food arrived in three minutes and 20 seconds. Extremely fast!! As mentioned, I ordered the Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($16.47). The broth is thin, savory, and sweet with a light spice. The noodles are thick, springy, and fresh. And the beef melts apart in your mouth like beef gelatin. Unfortunately, the beef is also a little bitter and dry. It tastes like frugal ingredients that were well-prepared. It's not bad. Regarding ambiance, Corner Beef Noodle House (El Monte) is very clean. The floor and tables sparkled. There's about 15 tables. There's also a customer gender neutral restroom. The music is also very soft. Overall, Corner Beef Noodle House (El Monte) offered a good experience. If searching for an affordable spot, this is an option. It's not bad, but I'd visit with tempered expectations. 4.3 out of 5
Without saying, it's really precious to find Taiwanese restaurants in LA. Corner Beef Noodle House is one of the jewels! Ample choices of lunch "bento" for popular Taiwanese foods -- popcorn chicken, pork chop, braised pork knuckles (ham hock) and stinky tofu. Surely you cannot miss their signature dish -- Beef noodle soup! They also provide frozen, cooked food for a convenient, quick meal when you need it. Now they have discount when you pay cash -- 10% off and buy 6 get the lucky 7th free. Some side dishes are UNIQUE and cumbersome to make such as 生腸! It's only available here throughout LA, or probably in the entire California state or nation wide! The "Ai-yu" lemon drink is also a distinctive, special beverage in Taiwan. Must grab one when you come to the Corner.
I heard the hype around this place's beef noodle soup so I had to try it out. There's parking onsite as the restaurant is located in a plaza. Service was normal. I got the Half Meat Half Tendon Beef Noodle Soup and was unfortunately not impressed with it as the meat that came with it was tough and the broth had a good helping of MSG in it. I could taste it plus I was super parched afterwards and had to chug a ton of water. The tendon was just okay, I won't probably come back for the beef noodle soup as there are other places that have better versions.
I was committed to try all of the top 5 beef noodle soups in the SGV so we headed to Corner Beef Noodle House. Located in a strip mall in El Monte on Pack Rd., the interior is minimally decorated. The menu is Chinese noodle dishes and sides. We ordered the signature beef noodle soup which was very good but the noodles were a bit over cooked. The broth was deep in flavor. Spicy wontons the wontons were huge like Wenzhou style, not your normal small wontons The sauce was a bit on the seeet side. Boiled chitllins was not good. Service was ok. Plenty of parking.
Overall: Great place for Taiwanese food with quick, no frills services. This is one of my go to spots for beef noodle soup. Plenty of parking, usually no wait, and great food. The Service: Service is definitely no frills. It's not a fine dining restaurant, but the server is attentive, took my order quickly, and would refill my water when needed. Everything was quick and efficient. The Food: Monascus Pork - 5/5 Very few places serve this dish and it's one of my favorites. The crispy fried pork is well seasoned and is a bit fatty so it's very delicious. This pairs well with the pickled cucumber. You can order this dish by itself or as an entree where it's served with rice. Beef Noodle Soup - 5/5 This is definitely one of my favorite beef noodle soup places since the soup is nice and rich, but not heavy tasting. It has a bit of spice but isn't too spicy. I love the pickled mustard greens that they give. I prefer it with just the beef, but you can also order it with tendon and tripe if that's something you like. The portions are huge! They give so much meat and noodles which gives you more bang for your buck. The taste is very homestyle and reminds me of when I visited Taiwan! I prefer the regular noodles - they were a bit thicker and had a nice bouncy/chewy texture to it. You can also order the noodle soup as a combo where you can get a small appetizer sized amount of cucumber and bean curd. This combo also includes a drink. Price: Beef Noodle soup prices range between $15-$18 depending on what meat choices you get. The other entrees are also around the same price point with appetizers ranging between $8-12. The portions for the food are a lot for what you pay for. The Atmosphere: It's a rather large restaurant which can accommodate for larger groups. It's a casual restaurant so don't expect a fancy dining atmosphere. Parking: Located in a strip mall, with plenty of parking.
Corner Beef Noodle House is a specialized in Taiwanese beef noodle soup located in VictoriaCenter. They serve hot,cold and rice dishes. Drinks and desserts are available too. I placed my order by phone. It took around twenty minutes to have my order ready. The restaurant looks nice and clean when I went inside to pick up my order. They have multiple indoor seating. I got: -Half meat / Half Tendon beef stew with regular noodles 5/5 The soup was rich and very flavorful. The beef shanks were perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. It had delicious chewy gelatinous tendons with tasty bok choy. It is really their specialty. -Taiwanese Sausage with rice 4/5 It was sweet and garlicky but a little bit dry. -Fried Monascus pork with rice 4/5 It was savory , tender and slightly sweet -Popcorn chicken with rice 4/5 Flavorful crispy chicken with basil leaves The amount of rice was generous. The rice was fluffy. The staff were very nice. My order was perfectly packed and the food was very hot. I will go back for their flavorful and delicious beef stew.
I already have my go-to's in the LA and OC areas, but this being Christmas Day, some of those places were closed. And so, as I was feeling some beef noodle soup, I looked and I found! Corner Beef Noodle House did the trick and hit the taste buds, but it also is not quite as amazing as my already-established go-to's in the area. Location: Corner Beef is located in a plaza, which is good for parking. That said, the parking lot does tend to still get crowded (from the other tenants of the plaza)! I was able to get a good parking spot though. Service: It's seat yourself as you walk in, but there isn't a sign or anything to say this. As I was waiting, props to the one server who has to serve everyone, but she also didn't turn at all as I entered and didn't acknowledge me at all. So I chose to just seat myself after waiting a bit, asked aloud to make sure I could seat myself, and that's when she turned her head for the first time and acknowledged my presence. Friendly, yes. So overall friendly and kind, just perhaps there's something a bit off that could rub somebody with less patience the wrong way. There are plenty of tables. Also some customers. This place seems to stay at least somewhat busy. Definitely not empty, but also not crazy packed. Now on to the food! Since beef noodle soup is in the restaurant name, this was what I was going to go with, and what I think would be fair to write a review on this establishment on. The noodles are pretty bouncy - that's a good thing! Pickled vegetables get served on the side - that's a good thing too because I know some who don't like the pickled veggies. I happen to love pickled veggies with my beef noodle soup, so I dumped the entire small ramekin in there. The broth was rich and flavored,. Spicy enough too - did a good job clearing my sinuses. A bit salty. I would also add that the beef chunks were a bit tough and large too. Not horribly tough, but tough enough to where I noticed it wasn't super tender like I prefer it. And since these were extremely large, it took a bit to get through them. Still, they tasted good enough, just not as good as some of the other places I've been to. I have to say I came into this establishment curious how things would play out - I read the Yelp reviews ahead of time. Most were good and there was one that stood out saying how horrible everything was. I tell you what - after trying this place firsthand, I question that one reviewer for whether or not something else was at play, because this place wasn't THAT bad. The meat was certainly tougher than it should be, and that prevents it from getting 5 stars, but overall, this place isn't bad, is overall decently good, and the service is the same - food came quickly, server was friendly but also with not the most outgoing mannerisms. Take to heart what you will - but if you're in a bind and have a beef noodle soup craving, Corner Beef Noodle is certainly not a bad place to go to. Just don't expect the same as you would get in Monterey Park at the unfortunately-closed Mandarin Noodle House - man, I miss Mandarin Noodle House! But therein lies the standard I go by.
I'd say this place has one of the top beef noodle soups in the area. We got the Beef Stew Noodle (16.47), Wonton in Chili oil (14.94), Mochi (7.73), and Honey Aiyu Green tea (4.99). The beef noodle is pretty sweet and not very spicy at all, and I like how bouncy and slightly chewy the actual noodle strands are. They pack a lot of beef into the bowl, and each piece is tender and not tough to chew despite the look. The wontons had a strong chili smell, but it wasn't super spicy and tasted vinegary. The standout to me was the mochi - it was nice and chewy and the peanut and sesame flavoring was just right! I'd definitely go again, even on a random Wednesday night the place had decent amount of guests dining in.
I guess I've never written anything for Corner Beef ... I'm sorry! I love them so much and they are hands-down THE BEST BEEF NOODLE SOUP IN THE SGV! There! I said it! I've tried a lot of Beef Noodle Soups over the years in SGV and this has been my tried and true. From the rich, oily and bold soup (warning: you will be thirsty after) to the perfect noodles and chunks of tendon and beef (I generally prefer all soft tendon), this beef noodle soup is comfort food to the max. I also like their Fried Pork Chop Rice and their Fried Monascus Pork Rice. Their sides are good and I especially love when the days when bamboo is one of the side dishes. *Covid Update* So if you know me like you know me, you know I always look for the best Beef Noodle soup within driving distance. As a member of SGV eats and from what I've read, this was the place to go for this yummy delicious Taiwanese dish. It's my comfort food, and I'm always on the hunt for the most delicious bowl. I came here when it opened and now when you come here, you order through a little make shift window next to the door. Of course, I didn't wan to come just for one dish, so I had ordered all my childhood favorites: Beef Stew Noodle: $10.99 1/2 Beef Stew Noodle and 1/2 Tenden: $12.50 Fried Pork Chop with Rice: $9.25 Popcorn Chicken (a la cart): $6.99 I asked for a thick noodle for one of them and thin for the other one. They take cash. 20 minutes go by and since there was dim sum across the parking lot, I was going to get some. But then, I saw the line wrapped around and realized I probably should've came earlier. I asked for extra mustard greens and off to home to enjoy! Upon getting home, they do a good job wrapping everything. Nothing spilled, and the fried food has air holes so all was still very hot and flavorful. Except... The beef noodle soup. The soup I got was not flavorful and the beef was a bit hard. I wondered why? Sadly, the food I really wanted was a slight let down. However, the popcorn chicken was probably the BEST I've had in awhile. It's fried with basil and contains big and crunchy pieces. The way it should be done and they do it correctly here. Their pork chop and rice is quite good too! Crunchy outside and juicy inside. Come with some veggie sides. Typical Taiwanese plate lunch done right. As for the beef noodle soup and the beef noodle tendons. I have to clearly say the tendons is the clear winner here. The soft and gelatinous tendons melt in your mouth! Since I couldn't finish both in one sitting, I had both again a day (or two) after. The soup was more flavorful, had deep characteristics of a tomato base and doesn't have a bone broth taste. The soup color is incredibly red, one that you can almost color a flag with! The thick noodles is the better choice here, though both were delicious, the thicker one had a better chew. The beef they use here are cut horizontally, yielding a larger slice. I totally appreciate that. However, it was still not tender having it days later. The mustard greens you ask for on the side is delicious, it tastes homemade! I've been on the search for a solid beef noodle house for a while. I grew up on the typical beef noodle soups from the usual mom&pop shops and hole in the walls in SGV but none of them really hit me in the way that Corner Beef did. The broth here is good and not salty to the point where you'll be thirsty 30mins later. Apparently, the makeup of the broth isn't too hard to replicate on your own with a few select sauces, but not everyone has time to replicate this dish at home. The noodles are handmade and it's good when compared to other noodle shops. Not amazing since it didn't stand out to me on its own. The pieces of beef in the noodle soup are quite large and plentiful. Only thing I'd change is the amount of noodles they gave. Not sure if it's a thing they do, but I think they might be offering smaller portions of noodles so that you'll want to pay the extra cost for another portion of noodles. Either way, you can just box up the leftover soup and eat it with any flour noodles you have at home. It's cash only, no surprise there. If you're eating in the SGV, it's safe to assume you'll need cash for everything, right? Would only eat here if I was in the area and had a craving with a bigger group. read more

It's a small family owned business and I think their doing a great job. I'm not much of a Taiwanese food expert but I did enjoy the beef noodles. I specifically got the Half beef/Half tendon and the tendon was really good. The beef was also good but a little more tough that I would have liked. I think it was just because of the cut choice which was probably beef shank? Although I may not have preferred the cut, it was still good. The soup is more of what surprised me. Since I've never had Taiwanese beef noodles I was not prepared for the spice (not spicy). Honestly, I came here cause I wanted a light and easy beef noodle soup because I was about go drive back to Las Vegas but I was introduced to a more hearty noodle soup and I enjoyed it. You can tell that this is their specialty I also got the Winter Melon tea which was refreshing and just right in my opinion. And for take out, although I probably should have listened to their recommendations of stirring the sauce before my long road trip, as I am eating it now, the XO noodles are delicious, if only I had eaten it in store. House recommendations where their rice plates which I'll have to go back and try when I visit El Monte again! I've been to Corner Beef Noodle House a couple times and I would say it's a decent spot! The noodles are a perfect chewy consistency, beef and tendon portions aren't skimpy and broth is pretty flavorful though a tad oily/salty. It was $14.99 for a half meat/half tendon beef noodle soup. The meat could be a bit more tender. The popcorn chicken wasn't as amazing as I'd remembered from a few years ago, but portions were good for around $8.75 or something. It was also not dry or tough. Like other restaurants I've noticed, they now serve their hot food in plastic containers but will give non-plastic bowls if you ask for it. Service was pretty good and food came out fast. Corner Beef Noodle House is a Taiwanese restaurant that specializes in their beef noodle soup, fried pork chop, along with the other Taiwanese specialities. It is located within a large plaza with plenty of parking spots and easy to locate. Food: Electing for some fried food, I decided to order the popcorn chicken with rice. The chicken was battered very lightly and the chicken was seasoned to a mild flavor. The extra basil leaves left a good taste in my mouth. The chicken was also served with a scoop of rice, some flavored cabbage and some zucchini. Definitely an excellent dish that I would order again. Next time, I will order the beef noodle soup. Service: The service is decent. We were seated quickly around noon on a Friday. The food came out within 10 minutes. Ambiance: The ambiance is not the best, but not uncomfortable feeling. There are booth tables and a share of tables that are clean. Overall, I would recommend Corner Beef Noodle House. I enjoyed the food and recommend it for any type of outing. As the hunt for the right Taiwanese beef noodle soup continues, I stumbled upon this hidden gem! It's located in a small plaza with plenty of parking! Be advised they do close at 3pm for a short break before reopening again for dinner. I ordered the beef noodle soup and it was tasty! I was worried it would be too spicy but it was extremely flavorful and the noodles were nice and chewy. You can pick between thin or thick noodles. I didn't like the beef pieces but I did see they had a no meat just noodle soup option so I think I'll try that next time. The fried monascus pork was also pretty good! Meat and rice portions are very generous. If you go here, please do yourself a favor and order an order of the mochi!!!! It's hard to find good Taiwanese mochi and this place does an excellent job at making it. It definitely tasted like my childhood. Eat it while it's warm and you will thank me later!!!!! Food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend the beef offal soup and beef noodle soup! So much flavor! I added just a bit of chili oil to give it a little kick!! Also added the pickled veggies! I love Taiwanese women but there were none here. So the specialty that I was hearing from others have been that of the beef noodle soup. So when I arrived I was looking for just that and Apple sidra as my refresher. The place is pretty big but very hot inside. I was sweating before my food arrived. I like to eat in comfort but it was not comfortable eating in heat with hot soupy noodles. The beef brisket was a little over cooked and it wasn't to my liking. It tasted dry and not very flavorful. The noodles were fine and the broth was okay. Just the meat was not falling apart when handling it as it was well done. I looked at the XO noodles but didn't have the appetite for additional food. Maybe if I come back I'll try it that noodles plate. read more

Overall it's pretty good. Beef noodle soup (11.50) - I like it. Noodles were cooked perfect! I ordered the thick noodles. Noodles were very QQ (chewy). Soup base is good. It looks spicy but it's not at all. Tendon was super soft. Beef was nice. Not dried but soft. With the price.. I wish they gave a little more noodles or give 1 or 2 extra piece of beef Popcorn chicken (6.99) - well fried. Meat was not dried but juicy! Wish they sprinkle more of the seasonings and offer spicy. Chicken were big pieces so semi balance the price. Large wonton noodles soup ($9.65) - I find this just okay. Wontons were HUGE. Noodles are thin and give you a lot of noodles. Soup base.. no flavor. It taste like they forgot to add salt to the soup. Overall.. food is better than what I expected. Definitely will come back for the beef noodles if I'm around the area and crave for beef noodles. read more
Been always getting the same 4 items whenever I come here. I know I should try some other things but maybe next time! The go to items to get when I'm here are the: Beef noodles - noodle is not the knife cut ones but still very chewy. Very good portion of beef, tendons, and tripe with the noodles. Soup is a bit oily. They give a side of the mustard green to eat with the noodles. XO noodles - same noodles as the beef noodles but it's dry and mixed with the XO sauce. A lot of dried scallops in it. I love it. The one thing that could make it even better would be a kick of spice. I know I've had XO sauce that had chili in it or maybe next time I'll ask if they have chili on the side to use. Popcorn chicken - big pieces of chicken and good portion. Flavor is okay I've had better but I still get it cause I love popcorn chicken. Intestines - this is my favorite! Got two orders of it cause I couldn't stop eating it. It's already prepared and in the fridge that they pull out to give you once you order it. The intestines are just boiled with no flavor. It's nice and chewy which means they didn't overboil it and ran it under cool water right away. The sauce with minced garlic is divine and perfect accompaniment to the intestine. read more

PSA: CASH ONLY Their half tendon/half beef noodle soup comes in a huge bowl with tons of meat and tendon. Overall delicious but their tendon is too soft and mushy. I prefer a little more chew to tendon. Their popcorn chicken is deeeliccious and fried well. Wish there is a spicy option but the meat is juicy and breading is crispy. read more
What a Beef Noodle Restaurant in SGV? Yeah, like there's fifty thousand of them so why come here? Cause it's authentically good! Humble friendly customer service, they try their best and it shows. Food was superb and inside dining opened back up. Wasn't crowded when we came but seems like they're doing a decent job of social distance table separation. We ordered a couple bowls of spicy beef noodle soup. The default is spicy as in nice flavors but not hot spicy. So bring your sensitive palleted friends! If you ask for hot chili oil it's a blended sacha like hot chili like a blended power in chili oil. It's great as an addition to each spoonful of noodles or meat, or stirred into the soup. Adds a little kick that's noticeable and tasty, but doesn't detract from the base flavors of the soup. Throw some vinegar in there to make it tangy for dumplings. We also ordered the 10-piece wanton soup. By far my favorite soup. It's like good old fashion home broth. It's probably full of MSG but it's how you know it's authentic. Wantons are friggin huge too. Seems to be mostly pork, so if you're like my kids who don't like shrimp, it'll be perfect. The star of the meal was the deep friend pork belly. It's like cha-siu deep fried with a nice light but super crispy coating. It's superbly good. I think something like this would be a perfect snack too. Get it to go if you wanna binge drink at home! Lol. Got the seaweed cold side dish too. Kinda bland like when it arrived. But still good since there's no fishy ness of fresh seaweed. But add some of that vinegar and it's nice and tangy as I'd expect for a dish like this. If you're adventurous, you can try the stinky tofu or the pork intestine cold dish. Note: cash only! But Oh WOW! So dang good!! I LOVED THEIR NOODLES. Not a big fan of the meat (could have totally gotten away with just noodle and soup because it was that good). They have just noodle and soup option and it's significantly cheaper. Perfect for those who are like me (carbs over proteins). Can we talk about the noodle? Wait or should we start with the broth? Honestly don't know where to start. The noodle it is. So thick and it picks up all the soup, the perfect vehicle for the oh-so-flavorful beef soup. The soup! Braised to perfection, very well-balanced and well-seasoned. A great reddish color, perfect match for the noodles. My sister ordered the XO sauce dry noodle, also very good. I might actually order this again next time. (They also sell their XO sauce for $30 a jar). Their price is not cheap, so watch out how you order because it adds up quickly. Heard from many friends that this place has one of the best Taiwanese beef noodles in SGV. And I'm so glad that we came tonight to try it. The beef noodle soup is indeed full of flavor but quite spicy. You can choose thin or thick cut noodles. I chose the thick cut and it was chewy (which I like). But some people may prefer for it to be softer. They serve the food in to-go containers which made it real easy for us to take the left over home. We just asked for a lid and a bag. TLDR: Cheap, Tasty, Big Portions! This isn't a big place, and it can get a little bit crowded. We went there around 12:00pm, but we were able to be seated right away. Maybe 10-15 min later there was a line. The food is very inexpensive! My wife ordered the pork chop rice, and it was only $9.50. And the portion was HUGE! We weren't expecting how much rice and pork chop they gave. It was crunchy and juicy, fried very well. I ordered the beef tendon noodle soup for only $8.50. And it contained big huge GOBS of tendon. It was super tender and had great flavor. It's like eating fat without the unhealthy side effects! I think in terms of how much tendon they give you, this was definitely the most I've ever had. Takeaways: One of the best beef noodle soups in LA! Must get the mochi for dessert Corner Beef is one of my favorite places in the greater LA area. I have driven an hour through traffic just for the rich beef noodle soup and warm, chewy mochi. Been going here for years and have never been disappointed. Where do I start? The beef noodle soup is so flavorful. You can have your choice of thick or thin noodle, amount of beef, tendon, or even tripe in your bowl and the broth is the true highlight. It's so beefy and flavorful. I really like a beef noodle soup that doesn't shy away from the tomato and black vinegar to create a tangy, acidic and savory broth and they do it just how I like it. The first time I came here, what surprised me more than how good the beef noodle soup was was the Hakka style peanut and black sesame mochi that comes out warm and soft. The perfect dessert to finish the meal and I'll sometimes go just go get that. The sides of pickled cucumber, soy sauce eggs, and boiled pork intestines are always a good pairing too and would definitely get if you have a few people to share. Parking is super easy and service is always great. Most waiters speak both Chinese and English well which caters both to Chinese and Taiwanese people wanting a taste of home and everyone else trying a taste of authentic Taiwanese culture. Just know they're cash only. Recommendation: Absolutely must go! Every person I've brought has loved it! Must Try the beef noodle soup! It was absolutely amazing and perfect on a cold rainy day. Hands down one of the best noodles I've had in a beef noodle soup with great chew and texture. On top of the great noodles, the soup had depth and deep beef flavors as well as a perfect amount of spiciness (def better than noodle st). The only thing was that the beef itself was on the drier side, which wasn't too bad if you soak it back into the soup. Ordered the popcorn chicken and thought it was just a basket of popcorn chicken, but actually ordered a whole meal including rice, vegetables, and pickled cabbage. Overall though, the popcorn chicken was crispy but a little disappointing compared to the amazing beef noodle soup. read more

I came here today for beef noodle soup with friends. It's a pretty small restaurant in a strip mall but the food is delicious! The beef noodle soup was just enough spice but very flavorful. I like that you can pick thin or thick noodles. I feel like thick noodles slip too much for me so I got the thin ones which were still chewy and good. One of my friends had the pork cutlet and it was amazing too!!! I also love that you can buy the soup togo in the fridge as well! Just be minded that it's cash or Venmo only. I have a significant backlog of beef noodle soup places that I want to try, mainly because I try to avoid carbs as much as possible these days. But hell, I still gotta eat SOMETHING tasty once every so often. Did research and Corner Beef Noodle House is one of the top beef noodle soup restaurants around. Ordered my favored half beef, half tendon noodle soup. In summary, this is one of the best and unique beef noodle soups I've ever had. Details below: 1. Broth: I'll start with the broth, which is definitely not your typical broth but still extremely flavorful. I'm used to beef noodle soup broths not having as much vinegar as this one. But this one definitely works. Insanely rich, packs flavors, has a little spiciness to it. Even as a takeout option, they do not short you on broth whatsoever. 2. Noodles: You get an option for the regular noodles or thin noodles. Don't waste your time with the thin noodles. Their regular noodles are so fresh, thick, and chewy. Literally, they are my ideal type of noodle. Obviously being takeout, the noodles were a little stuck together when I put my soup together, but not too much. 3. Beef/Tendon: My bowl only had two pieces of beef and two pieces of tendon. Seems like a ripoff, until you realize how massive the pieces are. I'd say two pieces of each would've made something like six to eight pieces if they had been cut smaller. Beef was super tender, but man that tendon was AMAZING. Super tasty, not overly chewy at all. This is some of the best tendon I've ever had in beef noodle soup. Also grabbed a side of pork chop, which I did not regret as for $7.50 they PACKED IT IN! So much food and fried up perfectly Taiwanese style. This is what I've been looking for! Service is good. Everything is takeout right now due to COVID, and they have a covering that blocks the entrance to the restaurant which serves as the place where you put in your order. Very friendly, made sure to get my order right. Had I known that I could have called it in and avoided the 15 minute wait, I would have done that. Only downside is cash only. I want to try some other beef noodle soup restaurants, but rest assured Corner Beef Noodle House is at the top of my list after this visit. Extremely impressed. read more

Been a while since I went back to Corner Beef Noodle House. They do have one of the best Taiwanese Beef Stew Noodle with generous portion of beef. The noodle is very chewy, great broth, however, I would prefer to be a little more spicier. I also ordered the Signature XO Sauce Noodle, single portion of Popcorn Chicken & Fried Red Pork, and for dessert, their Hot Mochi, consist of Peanut & Black Sesame. The popcorn chicken and fried pork are way too thick, but they still taste delicious. My wife, son and I love the mochi, big portion with lots of peanuts and black sesame, reminded me of a similar snack from Asia. As of now, the restaurant offers only take out, no dine in. If you're looking for spice no. If you're looking for for savory and flavor and better noodles then yes. Their noodles have a great texture. Plus alll the other Taiwanese dishes are a plus. Pro tip: Buy some of their XO sauce to go.
