$20 for beef noodle soup is pricey but the broth was nice and rich. Got the mild spice and was happy with it especially with the tenderness of the relatively generous portions of beef. $16 for tiny bowl of sesame noodles was a rip off though. Cash only!

There's a parking lot behind the shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant has fair number of tables close together, but not good for large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They're known for their Beef Noodle Soup, $20. Large chunks of beef which were pretty soft. The broth was tasty. A little spicy for our kids. Sadly, the Vegetable cold noodles was literally just noodles, sliced cucumbers and sauces on the side. See photo. VERY overpriced for $16. Would not order it again.

We came because of their latest post pop up about how good their food are. Lets say I dont think I will be back again. Beef stew itself did cooked amazingly soft. But thats all there is. Not sure about Michelin stars level. The soup based is too plain. We order original the spicy and a mild ($20 each). And we ordered the sesame noodles ($16) just sesame and noodles not sure how this can be at $16. Their side dishes in to-go small container range $14-$18 (way over priced). We went in 6 people of course there was a wait which is fine but 2 sesame noodles and 3 beef stew noodles for over $120 not sure if i will return. I prefer PP pop in monterey park or same owner Mr Dragon noodles on valley San Gabriel over this.

Purely based on taste, it's probably the best beef noodle soup outside of taiwan. Beef is super tender and flavorful. Broth is perfectly seasoned and savory. But $20 for a bowl? A little ridiculously steep imo. Also how is a side of tripe $16? It's a couple spoonfuls worth. Pretty bummed by the weird hours, steep prices, and cash only. Paid with zelle. But couldn't find the prices of the side dishes anywhere. Didn't necessarily like that. Paid $100 for 3 bowls of beef noodle soup, a side of bean curd and a side of tripe. Way too pricy. That being said, I'll probably be back but not for a while lol.

I've heard great things about this spot serving authentic Taiwanese beef noodles in Temple City, but it's extremely difficult to find time in our schedules, as they're only open 6 days a week, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash or Zelle. We ordered two dishes to share - the #1 Sesame Sauce Dry Noodles ($15.00) and the #5 Beef Stew Soup Noodles ($19.00). Both were excellent! From a value perspective, the Beef Stew Soup Noodles offered more for your money with a generous portion of beef, soup, and noodles, while the Sesame Sauce Dry Noodles felt a bit pricey for the portion size. We recently tried a similar dish at another well-known Taiwanese restaurant in DTLA, but we preferred Dai Ho's creamy sesame flavor. The Beef Stew Soup Noodles were cooked perfectly - the noodles were bouncy, and the broth was fragrant, spicy, and not overly oily. My wife, who is Chinese and lived in Taiwan, says they're authentic, but not as good as the ones in Taiwan, but better than anything we've had here. We will definitely be back the next time we are craving authentic Taiwanese noodles!

The best beef noodle soup in the SGV! I've heard about this place for a while but it wasn't the most convenient to go with their hours. Well I'm glad I finally tried it. The noodles were the perfect size and chewiness. The broth was beefy, slightly spicy, and perfectly seasoned without being too soy sauce heavy or herb/anise heavy. The meat was so tender and not dry at all. Literally no notes, perfect beef noodle soup in every aspect. So hearty and comforting.

The Good: The beef noodles are absolutely delicious. Large chunks of tender beef shank with fresh spinach, hearty helping of green onion and noodles in mouth numbing soup with just the right amount of spice. The Bad: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Crowded, limited hours, cash/zelle only, pricey.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hole in the wall ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Limited/street parking. Is it worth it? Only if you happen to be in the area or live local. Otherwise, I would not drive all the way just to eat here. The food is the strongest selling point. That, and bragging rights.

Craving Taiwan Flavor and Noodles? Dai Ho specializes in comfort food and taste so good. My family loves this place for reliable taste. Ordered the following: 1. Dan Dan Noodles (Peanut Sauce) extra spicy **** 2. Vegetal Dry Cold Noodles **** 3. Chicken Noodle Soup

Dai Ho is a family run restaurant in the heart of Temple City. They have amazing noodle dishes, you can't go wrong with anything you order there. My go to dish is the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. It's the perfect portion size and the broth is so rich and delicious. They close as soon as they are out of food for the day. The service is great too, they are very quick with their orders and the staff are very friendly. I recommend this place for anyone looking for some comfort food.

Came on a Saturday afternoon at around noon and the restaurant was packed! The wait wasn't long and we were seated promptly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is definitely on the more casual end.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was attentive. Heads up: restaurant only takes Zelle/cash and is only open from 11:30AM-2PM. 1. Beef stew noodle soup- rich, bold and flavorful broth. Beef was also very tender and fresh. Definitely a comforting, satisfying bowl- but slightly on the pricey side for what it is. Parking can be a bit difficult with the small lot in the back but you can definitely find street parking in the front.

It's been a while since we've been back here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the atmosphere and food pretty much remained the same, my overall enjoyment of the experience has declined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think with so many other choices for Taiwanese noodles nowadays, I no longer find the food here all that special. I've outgrown it. 3.5 stars.

    Rich O.

This restaurant is alright. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup is solid but nothing that will knock your socks off or make you want to make the nearly 50 min drive from Hollywood to Temple City. Honestly, they may be running off the fame that came with being recognized in the Michelin food guide but have slipped in their quality since then? I'm not sure. My family came here at about 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. The small parking lot was filled up but there was plenty of street parking on Las Tunas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was thinking the inside was going to be packed like the parking lot but there were plenty of tables available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We all order their signature beef noodle soup. Like I said, it was solid but nothing spectacular. Honestly, I think the beef noodle soup restaurant in the international terminal of the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport was tastier. I think what I was expecting was a stronger star anise flavor in the beef and broth but it was lacking. It did have a nice spiciness at the mild level so if you request for spicy be ready to bring some tissue paper for your nose.

Delicious beef noodle soup! Staff were friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place can get popular and it's not a large building, so plan accordingly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No credit cards, just cash or Zelle.

I'm sure they also know English and Mandarin as well. We came for their dinner special on a weekday. Their special menu had two different tiers of food prices - $10.99 and $12.99. The specials usually come with a soup and a rice as well, but the soup was sold out by dinner time. We ordered Chicken and Corn over Rice, Stir-Fried Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce, Beef Chow Fun with Soy Sauce, Grilled Lemon Grass Pork Chop. Whenever I come to these type of restaurants, I usually order the same type of items. The chicken and corn over rice at this restaurant was just OK. It was typical and nothing special, but I still enjoyed it. The Stir-Fried Fish Filet was good and went well with the white rice. The beef Chow Fun is standard and the same as everywhere else. Can't go wrong with this staple. The one you dish that we did try was the grilled lemongrass pork chop. We don't usually order this but decided to give it a try this time. It was decent but more on the savory side. Overall, we were glad to find a restaurant with dinner specials. Given the price point and the standard types of Hong Kong styled food that were offered, I think we would return to try their other items on the special menu.

Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located behind the restaurant at a local medical building parking lot. It's $1 each 9 minutes with a max of $13. Or you can try to find street parking and walk on over. Food: I ordered a Lychee Martini, Saigon Summer, Mamasan's Shrimp Cake Skewers, Truffle Wok Seared Noodles with Scallop, Slow-Drip Vietnamese Coffee Flan, and Banyan Tree Ice Cream. Before I started ordering, I was immediately given some house made complimentary shrimp chips. I loved how light and airy it was. It also had an amazing crunch. It tasted just like shrimps hahaha. My lychee martini was a crisp, refreshing cocktail that perfectly balances floral sweetness with tart acidity. Order this! The Saigon summer is a spicy, tropical blend of tequila, lime leaf liqueur, agave, butterfly pea infused triplum, and a Thai chili infusion. Not really up my alley, but I'm glad I was able to try it out. I think I dislike anything spicy and super bitter in my drinks. It just tasted odd. Mamasan's shrimp cake skewers features crispy, deep-fried shrimp cakes flavored with kaffir lime and lemongrass. It is served with skewers, charred pineapple, and a sweet garlic chili dip. Definitely get this. It was so crunchy, massive, and mouthwatering. The charred pineapple provided a sour yet sweet taste that helped off set the savory seafood / fishy taste in your mouth. The truffle wok seared noodles with scallop is a dish that combines savory, smoky flavor with luxurious truffle and tender scallops, which bridges the gap between classic Asian stir-fry and Italian comfort food. As a massive sucker for Italian food and all things truffle, this dish was my favorite. The al dente handmade egg noodles were wok-tossed in a rich black truffle sauce with delicious mushrooms, fresh Brussels sprout leaves, and perfectly seared scallops. I loved that I could taste the black truffles. The truffles added a nice rich, earthy, and highly savory flavor with prominent notes roasted nuts. GET THIS DISH!!!!! The slow-drip Vietnamese coffee flan is a silky, rich egg custard infused with bold phin-drip coffee and sweetened condensed milk. It offers a perfect balance of bitter roasted coffee and sweet creamy custard. This dish was super smooth, creamy, and delicious. I loved that Star Leaf added their own twist to this dish by putting a caramel golden cage on top of this already phenomenal tasting dessert. The caramel golden cage gave this flan a nice crunch. This dish wasn't too sweet for me. As a hater of super sweet things, this flan was just right. The banyan tree ice cream was a great way to end the meal. Super refreshing! I got two scoops of Thai tea ice cream and one scoop of the coconut ice cream. Both flavors were fantastic and tasted very creamy. Not too sweet, which is how I like it. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, friendly, welcoming, and polite. Elysha waited on me when I went. She was very attentive, informative, and personable. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

The menu is quite extensive, with options including wraps, salads, bowls, breakfast items, smoothies, and meal-prepped dishes with chicken, beef, salmon, tofu, and much more. The cheesesteak fries r delishhhh as well. I love the peppers and onions and whatever cut of beef they use for these dishes is sooo good with the little fatty parts that add so much flavor. The price is a little high for the portion but honestly for how much I like it I don't mind the cost if that's how we can keep this establishment around a while longer! This places gives me the same comforting vibes as Ono Grill in MPK before it closed down, iykyk, and their closure is still one of my biggest heartbreaks so I'm happy to support this restaurant as long as it's around. Service is fast casual, you order with the cashier and then take a seat. They'll serve the food to you and you can leave everything on the table when you're done, someone will clean it up I don't live too close so when I come I just order my usual but the other menu items like the ssam and specials all look really good too! The drinks that I've had were just okay, I stick to the food when I'm here

It would be nice if they used a more substantial, crispy type of fry. Going for a midweek late lunch, it was not busy. It's a very casual place where you order at the counter and find a seat. There were only two tables with diners, however, almost all of the other tables had piles of food and drink trash left. Again, it was not busy, there were at least three people working there and the whole time we were there (we dined in) no one cleared the tables.

I had a wonderful meal at Mr Dragon Noodle House. It's located in a plaza surrounded by other…read morerestaurants and stores, and there's plenty of parking spaces in the lot. The popcorn chicken is a must - the portion was huge and the mild flavor was top notch. The beef noodle soup was also solid. It came with a generous amount of noodles and big chunks of flavorful beef. Lastly, the regular soup dumplings pass exceptionally well with the ginger, vinegar, soy sauce condiment. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Atmosphere inside was hip and vibey. Overall, this is a great restaurant and I'd highly recommend others to try their dishes.

My first visit to Mr. Dragon Noodle House…read more I stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. This place is busy. As soon as I walked in, a waiter handed me a menu along with an order slip to fill out while I waited for a table. That sure made the service feel less personal than I'd prefer. Every table was full, people were waiting near the entrance for seats, and the energy inside was loud and lively. These days, I'm more of a quiet-corner kind of diner. Unfortunately, I didn't find my usual quiet corner this time, but I managed to find a corner, and that was good enough. My dinner. Hot Tea ($2.00) Xiao Long Bao (8) ($13.00) The dumplings arrived steaming hot filled with juicy pork and flavorful broth. My favorite part of the meal besides the tea. Spicy Beef Ramen ($16.00) Large chunks of beef sat in a rich, vibrant red broth alongside ramen noodles, vegetables, and a hard-boiled egg. The beef was not as tender as it looked. The broth was too spicy for my liking. I do not recommend. Total: $41.02, including tax and a $7.00 tip. Overall, the food was okay, and the service sure needs improvement.
