Came back to Corner Grill to try their Korean Tacos. It was a late-ish lunch on a Saturday, yet there were still quite a few tables of people eating a variety of foods. Staff was just as friendly as before, and the place still has that lived-in, homey charm. I ordered a pair of tacos: BBQ Beef and Crispy Shrimp. Both come with shredded cabbage, sliced jalapeños, cilantro and a creamy, mayo-based sauce. The shrimp taco worked perfectly, with a crispy, tasty coating giving way to plump, fresh shrimp. The sauce melded into the cabbage, almost making a slaw you might get on a po' boy, and the peppers added a nice heat. I added a squeeze of fresh lemon, and that rounded things out nicely. It was a great bite of seafood. The BBQ Beef was less successful. The mayo and an extra dollop of chipotle mayo were too much for the small taco, and overtook the flavor of the beef. The beef had a nice flavor, but was a bit too dry, and had been chopped a bit too finely -- I would have liked larger pieces to really enjoy the flavor. In fact, others were eating the BBQ Beef plate, and the beef there looked far more appealing. So, I'm not discouraged. I'll come back for the full plate treatment, and see how things stack up. I still think this is a great place that deserves your attention and support. Good people.
If you know, you know. We found Corner Grille years ago, and it has been amazing every single time. It's such a unique Korean-Mexican fusion spot -- flavors you truly won't find anywhere else. The combination sounds unexpected, but somehow it works perfectly. We've tried a few different items over the years, but the Chicken Korean Fries are our absolute favorite every time. Nothing like it exists. The flavors are bold, layered, slightly sweet, savory, and just combined so deliciously. It's one of those dishes you crave again and again. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot in a small shopping center -- super unassuming -- but don't let that fool you. It's 100% a must-try. Some of the best, most unique food is always hiding in places like this. If you're looking for something different and seriously delicious, put this on your list. We'll keep coming back.
Delicious Korean food from a unique Korean fusion restaurant that serves traditional Korean plates like beef BBQ with rice and salad, but also Korean style tacos and burgers. The beef BBQ was flavorful and a generous portion. Fried shrimp is delicious. Strange choice of Christian music if you dine-in.
I hadn't been here in a while since Covid, for no reason really. Glad to come back. I love Korean Fusion food and my order of a Beef Kalbi Burger and BBQ Chicken Salad were both fantastically filling and satisfying. The portions were good and very tasty! Staff were pleasant and the interior was clean and pleasant. Prices are reasonable too. I was surprised to be the only customer eating in, Parkimg could be tight however when I was there I got a spot outside.
After a glowing review from Jason the Chao, we immediately set sail to Corner Grille. Such an unassuming plaza holds an incredible fusion gem which really captures the Korean American combo. The galbi sandwich on Hawaiian sweet rolls is a classic that we have all put together at some time and this menu item was a favorite. My personal favorite was the fried chicken sandwich on brioche bun, and the tacos were also delightful--we tried one of each. I would say that the fish and shrimp were decent but the other tacos were excellent! They even brought some ice cream out for us on the house--what a wonderful treat! This restaurant really embodies the valley--fusion done very well, with no pretense, in a plaza you would pass by and not even notice. We will absolutely be back, as we enjoyed every bite!!
Was quite surprised by Corner Grille. The location is kind of sketchy and from the outside it doesn't seem like much. However once I ordered I discovered this may be one of my new favorite spots in the valley. It can take a minute to get your food but the wait is definitely worth it. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. Pretty sure I've tried half the menu at this point. There's only a few people on staff but all the food comes out piping hot and fresh as soon as it's ready. Their chicken strips are phenomenal. Very crispy and good flavor. The Loaded fries are also a MUST have with the beef on top. Just utterly delicious. This is a meal in itself. I've also tried the wings, Tacos, Kalbi Beef Burger, Chicken Teriyaki, and Xango. All of them where just outstanding. The staff has always been very nice and helpful as well. I highly recommend.
Nice tacos! I got the BBQ beef tacos and got to choose the spice level. I really liked the flavor of the beef, and the taco was delicious. The portion seemed pretty solid too. We ordered online for pickup, and it was very time efficient.
I wish we had taken pictures before devouring everything, but that just shows how good it was! We ordered the beef tacos, which were packed with flavor and loaded to perfection. We also tried the medium spice chicken plate with salad and rice, the spice level was just right, and every bite was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we got the macarons, and they even surprised us with an extra flavor to try, such a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Service was excellent, truly 10/10. The young lady who helped us was friendly, attentive, and walked us through the menu since it was our first visit. The food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. This experience definitely turned us into loyal customers, we can't wait to come back!
A small hole-in-the-wall spot tucked into a strip mall--not in the best part of town and with limited parking. The setup is modest, with plastic utensils and a no-frills dining area, just a step above fast food. That said, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is warm and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you care more about flavor than ambiance. A suggestion is to remove the award winning signs from many years ago. It makes one think "what happened that they're no longer winning any awards". One can also assume, they're up only to hide what goes on in the kitchen as the separation between kitchen and dining area is a glass wall.
Amazing Burger!!! I ordered the Hungry Boy Burger & it was delicious! Every single bite was amazing! Loved the grilled Hawaiian rolls, the spicy beef made the burger more dynamic & bursting with flavor, bacon was great quality & plenty of it, the special sauce went perfectly with the burger. Overall great experience & excellent Burger!
On 5/19 I visited the restaurant to get lunch for my overnight shift. I've always passed the restaurant and wanted to try it based on the reviews and pictures of the food. I went in to order 10 piece wings, which after tax was $18+. Overpriced and I should have walked out but ordered anyway since my time was limited. The large boards, bragging about their excellent reviews additional lead to me staying. While still waiting for my food, I ordered a Western Hamburger also know the wings would not be enough. So the pictures and videos are below. I wasn't going to bother with a review but after talking with a person the next day saying that the wings are normally cooked burnt, it was my duty to let you know to not order the wings. Go to 7/11 where they are bigger and taste better. Also burnt was the onion ring in the burger. I grade this restaurant a D for poor execution and lack of accountability. These wings went to the stray cats at work. At least they enjoyed my money. Will never go there again after no compensation for a disappointing experience. The last picture is what I thought I was buying off the menu. $26 total for a terrible meal. The ambiance was empty as only 1 person was in the restaurant and 1 person waiting for take out.
Came here for lunch again! Once again, they were nice enough to give us some free potstickers they were just as delicious as the first time. Place was a little quieter this time it was during the weekday so maybe it was just a little slower this day. But the food was still incredible. My husband ordered the kalbi beef ribs and I ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and salad with a side of rice. I actually love their salad. It is so good and the dressing that they give you is delicious. OK so next visit I definitely need to tell them just to make it regular because when they say spicy even though I picked just a small spice level or I believe it was medium it was really spicy. I couldn't eat it so I ended up giving half of it to my husband and taking half of it to go. My husband loved the ribs though they were absolutely delicious if you'd like spicy I recommend getting these and making the spice level high on them. And once again, we had a great visit. Definitely a good spot to grab a quick bite. Highly recommend giving them a shot. Thanks for another incredible visit corner Grill.

Value for your money is definitely there. Great service. Food wasn't amazing but was definitely good. I got the Kalbi burger and sweet potato fries. He got the Korean bbq beef fries. Will come back when in the area read more

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin in this review because I have so many good things to say about this place. Well first, let me just start off by saying there's a reason why this place got #1 on yelp for top 50 burger spots of 2017 (I'm sure it will keep its #1 title for 2018) I mean wow is all I can say after biting into my burger. I ordered the Spicy Jalapeño Burger (SO GOOD) & my boyfriend ordered the Kalbi Burger which also happens to be the burger that earned the #1 title on Yelp & I can totally see why. I mean the flavors & the way they cook & combine their ingredients just work perfectly. I can honestly say I have yet to try a burger as good as this place (& that's saying A LOT.) Aside from the burger, I also ordered the jalapeño poppers which were so so so good. They were perfectly crispy & tasted even better when I paired them with a side of ranch! So the amazingness doesn't stop with their food, their prices are even better!! I mean when I say this place is low in cost its LOW which is insane because they could totally get away with charging more for what they give (let's pray they don't raise their prices though haha) This place gives you huge portions at a very low cost which honestly makes you want to come back for more. In addition to the amazing food & low prices, the service is INCREDIBLE. I mean I felt totally welcomed & at home in this place which is pretty awesome considering the fact that I came in right before closing time which is usually the time employees anywhere else would be tired & rushing you out the door. The person who rung me up was Carey (let's hope I'm spelling her name right) I also believe she is the owner too. She was super friendly & made tons of helpful suggestions on what she thought I should order. There was also a guy named David there as well who is one of the chefs, he also was extremely friendly & helpful too! I can say without any hesitation that their customer service is amazing & honestly other restaurants need to take notes from them! This was my first time here & definitely won't be my last! Ok this is fucking disgusting, i usually order this Kbbq fries when i order from here, but as i was munching through it i chew on something hard, so i spit it out and i see that its a fucking cooked/burnt piece of manicured/ pedicured nail!!!! This means that my order was cooked with the piece of nail.. Owner claims that all the employees are wearing gloves, then how the hell did it get inside my food?? My guess is that it was inside the batch of the marinated meat that they use for the kbbq fries. This gives you a sense that their FOOD PREPARATION/STORAGE IS NOT DONE PROPERLY NOR SANITARILY. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW UP AFTER TAKING A BITE OF A COOKED WOMANS NAIL. read more

Wanted to try this place for soo long.Went over the weekend and we ordered the three taco special. I had the two chicken and two beef tacos. They used Korean meat made them unusual and tasty. My wife had the Korean short ribs. She enjoyed them as well. Both of us agreed that while good, they were not the best we have had. Still pretty tasty. The service was terrific. I'll come back for sure. read more

Had their two most popular items. Sandwich and fish and cow taco platter. With fries. Fries were nicely cooked, but the seasoning felt a bit heavy, and it sort of felt like an odd blend of flavors, considering the rest of the menu The sandwich was enjoyable, but not too great. I think it lacked complexity. A little too sweet, a little too simple. Could use an extra element, or two. The cow tacos used the same meat as the sandwich, and overall tasted about the same. The fish tacos really surprised me and exceeded my expectations! I love fish, and I love tacos, but I've never been a fan of fish tacos, but these were the best I've ever had. The fish had this great crisp texture to it, and the sauce had a distinct and strong flavor, that was toned down nicely by the generous amount of veggies the taco is served with. I liked the price of the restaurant, but I wasn't all that impressed by it. It was pretty cheap, but the portions were small, so if you're a big eater, you'll probably end up spending a decent amount. The service was good! I had no issues here, and I love that there are no waiters. I liked this place, but the hype is too strong, and the interior design is atrocious. It looks like they just took an empty space and filled it up with stuff from a Goodwill at random. The graphic design of the signs and menus is gross, and there was graffiti on the windows. Would you like a little K-drama on the side with your Korean Tacos? On a late night, the tension was high to find a place for a quick meal before a long road trip. We weren't necessarily in the mood for a sit down meal so stepping into Corner Grille was a perfect find for our dainty appetite. The affordable menu was full of American and Korean fusion dishes which left our head spinning. The burgers and Korean plates seemed too heavy but the Korean tacos immediately caught our eye. Also, they had a promotion: buy three tacos and get one free. Scored! The selection was either beef, chicken, fish or shrimp tacos. Being chicken lovers, we ordered four Korean BBQ Chicken $2.69/each which included: bite sized Korean BBQ chicken, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, spicy mayo, salsa, cilantro, jalapeño and bedded on a double corn tortilla. The chicken was well seasoned and the thinly sliced cabbage and additional toppings gave it a great crunchy texture and heated flavor. It's not the gigantic mucho tacos but closer to the street taco size. Walk up and place your order and within a few minutes, they'll call your number for pick up. The staff was friendly and never bothered us since we were the last customers. There was plenty of indoor seating and I especially recommend sitting by the window which made me open my eyes and heart. Corner Grille is located in the busy mini-mall on Sepulveda and Roscoe Blvd. and parking could be an issue. Corner Grille is one of my favorite places to eat at when I'm in the valley and it's right off of the 405 when you exit Roscoe. The menu has a variety of food including burgers, Korean bbq, Korean tacos, wings, salad, and so much more to choose from! Their food is super affordable and also super yummy!! They have great deals such as a $2.99 burger (plus more burgers to choose from), Korean tacos special of buy 3 get 1 free, 12 pieces of cajun style shrimp for only $7.99, and more!! These prices cannot be beaten for the quality of the food. My personal favorite is the Korean BBQ fries which comes with jalapenos, chicken or beef, cheese, french fries, ranch, hot sauce, and their special sauce. I have no idea what's in their special fries but they are AMAZING. I would also recommend getting the Korean Tacos! Super delicious. I either get the beef or chicken tacos which come with salsa, cilantro, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, jalapeno, and spicy mayo. I never really have a problem with parking since there is a parking lot in this plaza but there are limited spaces. This place is not your traditional Korean restaurant but you would not be disappointed with the quality of their savory, flavorful food!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! read more
Ok, this place is 3 stars tops BUT the owner was so cool and nice to me that I actually found some faith previously lost in humanity. I don't know why it's top in the nation. The food is...cheap KBBQ style beef mixed into different items and then smothered in additional sauces. If you're into that kind of thing - good for you. You will love this place. I did not. I got the Galbi Burger (Korean style sweet-meat on a Hawaiin type roll with cabbage, flavored mayo, sweet sauce) The KBBQ French Fries (Korean style sweet-meat on Fries with cheese, flavored mayo, sweet sauce, jalapeños) one of each kind of the 4 tacos (You guessed it...Korean style sweet-meat-chicken/beef/fish/mystery on soft taco with cheese, flavored mayo, sweet sauce, jalapeños) I basically got the same thing....replicated 6 different ways. I have trouble with food that's covered in lot of mayo, teriyaki, and other sauces. It's too rich. Combine all those sauces over one dish that's already HEAVILY marinated in a sweet base...and I actually kind of started to feel sick. I could only eat about half my food. The fries were good in the sense they did the best job of soaking up all the sauce. A lot of people love this kind of stuff. It's the same people that get sushi rolls called "The Los Angeles Volcano Batman" that's deep fried teriyaki chicken rolled in another layer of artificial crab meat and another in eel and spicy mayo and then topped with eel sauce. Just...no thank you. This was the Korean version of that. I actually wouldn't call this place Korean - the flavor scheme was more Hawaiin BBQ meets Cali-Japanese. I gave a 4th star because the owner made a point of telling me when I got my free drink for checking in "No refills." After I ate I was still thirsty and got a Diet Coke from the fridge as I asked for a to go box. I got the money out, she looked at how much food I hadn't eaten, or maybe even didn't notice, and said "it's ok, take it." She also smiled, let me use the bathroom, and showed me how to eat the tacos. In the 10 years I have been in LA and hundreds of restaurants I have tried, I've never had someone who clearly cared so much about every customer. This isn't a sit down place either..it's a busy strip mall hole in the wall place and the area it's located in ain't exactly Beverly Hills...She took the time to make sure everything was good, and let me know she appreciates my business with unnecessary kindness. It wasn't all about every last penny. I will not be back - but because of this - I will send people their way who like this type of food. May they have continued success at what they do and never lose touch with their humanity/passion. read more

Story is we had just finished picking up our son from school. We asked what he wanted to eat he said "Jack" so then I was like boo boring so we yelped a burger joint and got this. I had this bookmarked! so... I forced everyone in the car to eat this. It's great! There's a line about 3 deep around lunch hour. Which wasn't too bad because there's a bunch of dealerships around here. We ordered a couple burgers, Cajun shrimp and rice. 4 Baja chicken tacos. 43$ The burgers were awesome, tender meat, egg well done which I prefer. Hawaiian bun! Cajun shrimp was tender, the sauce was medium, they ask how spicy you want your sauce which is cool. Went well with the rice, which is a side item. So, the tacos were good, I think next time I'll order another choice of meat they were chicken. A tad dry but still yummy! Drinks your choice of Arizona tea or other drinks located left of the register or a regular fountain drink. read more

First thing first, this is one of the purest and tastiest burgers that I've had in a long time. I tried the Kalbi Burger, which is Korea bbq beef served on Hawaiian bread with cabbage and some unknown amazing sauce (I wish they shared the ingredients for the sauce). I also picked the Korean BBQ Fries as a side (ya I was going all in)... the fries are topped of with either Korean bbq chicken or beef (you pick). I picked the chicken since there's beef in the burger. Everything was delicious! I've got plenty of beef in my burger and it wasn't drowned in a fatty sauce like most places do. The meat had enough flavor to do the job on its own The whole experience costed me $14, which is fair for the amount of food that I got! Service/location: The service is GREAT! I came in and simply said that it was my first visit. The first thing they did was to give me a sample of the bbq beef and pointed out the most frequently bought dishes by their guests. I basically felt very welcome and take care of, despite the size of the place. The place is located at a plaza with lots of parking spots (i found several parking spots during rush hour). Lastly, I'm in West LA and the drive was still worth the experience! read more

Amazing! Had the crispy chicken sandwich, drink & fries combo. Highly recommend the crispy chicken sandwich. Reminds me of a really good Korean fried chicken sandwich, I'd expect to get in Korea Town. But HONAAY it's in The Valley! Location: for those not familiar with Roscoe & Sepúlveda area, it can get pretty sketch. I'd recommend just getting the food to-go & not hanging out at this corner shopping center. Service: was amazing. Very friendly and fit me in before they closed. read more

What an unassuming gem! This place flat out rocks, absolutely delicious and adventurous fusion offerings. The Korean fries are a must have! I'd have never found this place if it wasn't for Yelp, and honestly, the parking lot is such a disaster that I almost bailed for lack of parking, but I'm glad I stuck it out. The interior is quite nice, a step up from the mini mall its located in. Don't judge a book by its cover, this place is a real treat, I'll be coming back for sure. read more

I LOVE this place. I give it five stars. I've had the hungry boy burger (which is amazing), the crispy chicken burger, is my favorite. I love how they fry their chicken. Coleslaw is perfect.The Korean BBQ fries are a MUST. Super delicious, very flavorful. Customer service is great food is great. 5 stars. It's hard to find I the valley the attention to detail from the owners that we get here. The food it's amazing they have a pretty good menu with good options I have tried the fish tacos and the hamburgers and they are A+. I'm becoming a regular costumer here and I always find a good option. this place it's clean, cozy and they deliver fast. read more
