We had a great dining experience for our initial visit to Corner Stone Tavern. We started with the fried cauliflower which was just phenomenal! In addition, they had a side of sweet potato fries that were great. My wife and daughter had salads that were very good. I had the hot chicken dinner that was very tasty. Started at the Polyanna and migrated to the Corner Stone after checking the online menu. Great choices - and fantastic specials on a Tuesday after work... So we were greeted by an empty room due to snowy conditions, and had Conrad as our server. Not only was this place a great value, the food was top notch as well. I will certainly return and check out some of the other menu items. We had a half price burger, and a pot roast sandwich. Wife said the pot roast sandwich rivals the one served at Prairie Bluff, which we found out might actually come from GFS as their pot roast (have to check that out) anyway this pot roast does not come from GFS, it comes from the chef on site - GREAT EXPERIENCE....and Conrad was awesome. Literally my favorite spot in Lemont. My Bf and I come here 2-3 times a month. My parents love coming here when they're in town. Nancy and Terry the owners are the cat's pajamas. Maureen is a doll, we love sitting at the bar and chatting with her when she's working. The food is awesome. Never had a bad meal here yet. I live down the street and LOVE dining-in and take-out. The interior renovation is well thought out, but the creative, comfort-centric menu and phenomenal customer service is what will keep you coming back. Food tastes better when it feels as if it's served by a friend. Pot Roast Sandwich (and dinner) is a staple, as well as their CST burger. The dry rub ribs are a fantastic deal and my favorite for take out. If you like libations, this is the stop for you. They have cocktails, classic and modern. I've been to this place a few times and have always had a good experience. Food is above average and the drinks are great. Anolda and AJ behind the bar are super personable and Jessica, Rafa and Geri on the floor do a great job serving. As for some of the negative posts, I question their validity. I always love checking out a new restaurant so I found myself dining at Corner Stone Tavern as soon as they opened up in Lemont! The space used to be a dive bar for years. I love what the new owners did by brightening up the space! My wife and I had some chips/salsa, the rib appetizer (must try), loaded potatoes and the hot chicken sandwich. It isn't easy to do items like these fresh and well but I have to say they nailed it! I love when places take pride in providing great fresh food! I also had a few beers while dining. They had something like five IPAs available which was amazing!!! Overall I had a great experience and I think Corner Stone will fit great in Lemont! Next time I go I will definitely be trying one of their boozy milkshakes. Maybe next week! read more

I visit the restaurant regularly and I really had to post this as a kudos to the management and server staff. I just witnessed a customer act ridiculously towards staff and embarrass themselves (you know who you are in the yellow dress). She claimed she was going to leave a 1 star review and she should be absolutely embarrassed for herself. This is a great place in Lemont and the manager, Blake, handled himself with professionalism. The food is great and the staff is always welcoming. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. read more

Good food and drinks! I had the meatloaf which is not something I normally would get on a night out but it was a good choice.

My husband and I stopped at this place for dinner. Wow, it was delicious. Haylie was our server and she was fantastic. Prompt to the table, kept our drinks full and the food was quick. Told us about the favorites, food made in house, just a great experience. We will be back! read more

Went there on Sunday evening. beautiful bar area and all brand new tables, floor, chairs, etc. Tried the chili, avocado toast and hard boiled eggs. All were great! Took home the hot chicken sandwich and the prime rib burger. They also were also great and recommended! Service was spot on. read more

We went to the Corner Stone Tavern for the first time last night!! What an enjoyable place, we sat outside as the sun set and the cool night breeze was blowing. The menu was so interesting, of course I had to have the Pot Roast sandwich, which was delicious. One of our party had fish tacos and another one had a burger. Everything was good and I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. It is a very different menu but I believe you can find something for every palate. The atmosphere was friendly and we sat talking long after we were finished, We never felt rushed to leave. It was a great experience and a good time. read more

Average at best. Saw good reviews and went there. Cauliflower appetizer was good, but everything else was blah. Got the fish tacos and hot chicken entree. Mac and cheese was bland and green beans were steamed with no seasoning/flavor. Service was nice once they figured out a server, but it did take about 5 minutes before anyone came to the table. read more

First timers!! The bar area walking in was beautiful. We sat at a high top in the back. Our server was friendly and fast. We ordered fried pickles and 2 entrees and both were excellent!! We had the Mac and cheese dinner and Hot chicken dinner. The Mac tasted great and lighter than other places not sitting so heavy. The Hot chicken was a crispy breaded flavorful breast. Great looking menu, good service. The fried pickles were spicy and perfectly breaded. However, the Hot Chicken Sandwich really did not have much kick at all. It was basically a crispy chicken sandwich with a little bit of coleslaw (not much kick either). It would have been better if it had the same flavor as the breading on the fried pickles. Additionally, while the french fries were very good (seasoned generously with pepper), the "Potato Cracklings" really had no flavor and were not worth the upcharge. The green beans with bacon side was really good. Overall, they did a great job building out the space, there is a nice patio, and the menu is interesting. read more

Good food and really great service. I would highly recommend their fried cauliflower bites and hot chicken sandwich if you like spice, they are both so good. Loaded cracklins are my family's favorite for an appetizer. The CST steak sandwich is good, but the steak is pretty chewy. I would order more boozy milkshakes if they weren't $12! read more

Corner Stone Tavern was everything I could have asked for during COVID. Clean, quick service, good food and drinks. There is ample seating and everything is spaced apart in compliance with social distancing policies. As a new resident of Lemont, a co-worker recommended this place for my family to check out. I decided to take a chance on it last week with my wife and 4yo, and I am so glad I did!! I've been a server for a good part of my younger years and I could tell the moment I walked in that this place is very well-run. Welcoming servers and the dining area was extremely clean and well-kept. I was super impressed with their beer list and drink menu, too bad I had to drive home. I decided to give the hot chicken sandwich a shot and I was blown away. My wife can be a stickler with restaurants and she hasn't stopped talking about the fish tacos since. actually claimed they were the best she has ever had, and that's saying a lot coming from her!!! This has become THE new favorite, the one and only place I want to go on a night out!! Here's the deal. The first night we went out was in December, right before Christmas. The place was unpredictably busy for a Sunday, but the staff killed it. Nancy, one of the owners, ran her @$$ off making sure tables were waited on, people had food and drinks, and were having a good time. Her incredible staff picked up extra tables, others came in to help, and the whole restaurant stepped up. Aye Jay, the lead bartender, exceeded expectations with drink orders. I'm an Old Fashioned girl, and it's perfect here. Premium cherries all the way. We had several cocktails, the ridiculous fried cauliflower, which has become a staple for every visit, and we had the pretzels. Should have consumed more, but looked for a couple of drinks and delicious apps. The service, environment, food, and drinks made us crave more. We had to come back immediately. HAD to have the chicken sandwich this time. (And the cauliflower, of course). OMG that chicken sandwich. I'm drooling thinking about it. I can't even describe how good this thing is. We also had fantastic Aye Jay, Nancy, and her husband Terry to rock out our visit. Smoked Old Fashioneds again, my original Woodford Old Fashioned, and incredible food. This isn't "bar food". I cook basically every night, and this is one of few places I trust to let cook for me. I would go here nightly if I could. Have been here several times since, LOVED EVERY VISIT, and was treated to a surprise date night last night. Bar was full (we need names on our seats by now), but we were able to sneak back over immediately after getting in. Julian and Nancy took care of us right away. The service and hospitality here is like NO other place I've ever been in my life. They're like family. I feel welcomed the moment I walk in, I know I'm having amazing drinks and food, and I know it's guaranteed to be a great time. The ambiance at Corner Stone is untouchable. Certainly upscale. I've come here twice to eat and was disappointed both times. The first time I ordered wings and all I could taste was the gross amount of sauce on the wings and the meat was all fat. Like completely inedible. It was just like chewing on fat. We ordered two orders of 20 and 2 were eaten. The next time I dined I'm with my mom and we ordered burgers as it was their special. The meat is so bland like no taste in the meat all I got flavor from was my toppings. Add some salt, pepper, seasonings please! Anything would help! A burger is a simple bar staple.
