The margaritas were huge and delicious! The food was also pretty good. They had some vegetarian options, but they were mostly fried and cheesy options, not any with fresh vegetables like I prefer there to be. We set outside and it was nice. So we tried Coronas tonight because we were at the movie theater out in Webster and although the reviews were a mixed bag the menu matches a place my wife is familiar with in Batavia and said they she always loved it there and would go there every day if she could. This turns out to be run by a very different group of people than the one in Batavia lol. So the woman who greeted us and sat us was also our waitress and she's probably the most miserable server I've ever had. She does not smile, she does not do anything, that could be in any way considered friendly or welcoming. She has RBF. It was truly one of the worst server experiences I've ever had. She forgot parts of the order, had to be reminded of or asked for things several times to get them, It was just bad across the board. Now the ambience of the place its pretty okay up front. It is kind of weird that there's no front desk or server station, it's just like tables and booths and then the door to the kitchen so that was kind of weird. Very colorful though! When you go back towards the bathrooms, which are in the very back of the store, all the decor is still five guys stuff. The bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and sticky... There's a buss cart parked in the hallway to the back next to a 5 gallon pail filled with stale water with sharp knives and other cutlery poking up out of it. The height of cleanliness right there! Okay so miserable employee And unhygienic restaurant with a weird setup. That's what we're starting with. On to the food! We ordered some nachos, We ordered a chicken dish which was chicken with some kind of sauce and onions and peppers. Lastly we got a side of 3 enchiladas. The three enchiladas were were fine, they came with a red sauce on them. Nothing groundbreaking but they were perfectly fine enchiladas. Unfortunately the nachos and the chicken dish could not keep this trend going. So for some reason the chicken dish came out before our appetizer... With no explanation from the most miserable waitress in the world... They came with two tortillas but no rice or beans at 18 bucks there was maybe 5 oz of chicken? There were two incredibly thin pieces of chicken breast like millimeters thin. It was horribly oversalted but it was okay besides all of that lol. Last up were the nachos which were very generous in size with a lot of ground beef and pulled chicken. There's a lot of lettuce on them but very little cheese there was some mystery watery something at the bottom of the plate they were served on, I don't know if this was supposed to be a cheese sauce of some kind or just moisture from the lettuce draining down through the chips? There was also approximately one and a half tablespoons of sour cream and 1 and 1/2 tbsp of guacamole on top with a single half slice of tomato?! The guac and sour cream proportions to the amount of nachos and meat were so far off it's not even funny. Oh I almost did forget We did get dessert as well, mainly because seeing the dessert is what prompted us to go to the restaurant so we got the fried ice cream. It comes in a fried tortilla bowl that's been tossed in cinnamon and sugar and that part was delicious. That tortilla and the ice cream is served on a plate, have you ever tried to eat a Sunday off of warm plate? Probably not cuz it's a really bad idea lol. The corn flakes used to bread the ice cream before they fried it are probably the oldest corn flakes I've ever consumed they were so far beyond stale that I I can't even imagine when they were originally purchased. The ice cream itself was incredibly hard and pretty much had to be cut with a knife which I understand you want really cold ice cream before you batter it and toss it in cornflakes and fry it but some tweaking needs to be done here.. So we get the bill for $68 and the server circled the section of suggested tips in pen which started at 18%, which is beyond laughable for the service that we got. There's a lot here that could be tweaked to make this place great. If the server had been friendly and welcoming it would have been a thousand percent better right off the go. The food also obviously need some tweaking. I can't really recommend you go to this restaurant for any reason under the current circumstances. read more

We tried Coronas on a gorgeous sunny day. The patio was a lovely spot to enjoy their fantastic salsa and chips. Seriously, the salsa was good enough to bottle. We all tried lunch specials. Portions were hearty and flavorful. The cheeses used in the enchiladas and quesadillas wasn't the typical but a fun blend that was super gooey. Upon request, they brought a selection of hot sauces. Service was very attentive. This reminded us of Mexican lunch spots in Southern California. We will return. read more

When I go to this restaurant, I enjoy the atmosphere. It reminds me of a Taqueria in the Bay Area. It's a no-frills Mexican restaurant nothing fancy just the basics. The margaritas are yummy and I like the smile their faces. When I come in they know me it's a small little place. Is it always consistent? No but they try to do their best . So stick with the basics and you won't be disappointed. I love their salsa. It's pretty delicious. The guac is good. So check it out.. read more

Coronas came highly recommended by a family we agree with on a lot of food options. We went on a Tuesday at about 6:00. No tables were available so we took a booth. The booth was in the back next to where the dirty dishes go. Maybe a set of doors would be a good idea or they could offer earplugs to the lucky guests who get the last booth on the left. We received the traditional chips-n-salsa and a drink order was taken. Then we patiently waited for over 20 minutes before we were able to order dinner. Our entrees took another 20 minutes. They food was delivered hot and we enjoyed the meal. I'm going to come back and give them another try, overall I was not impressed. read more

This was our first trip to Coronas and it went like this...First off there's plenty of off street parking...Next a nice Mexican themed room...Now onto the food...Very good and authentic Mexican fare...Massive Margariettas, even the small size was massive and great...The food was well prepared and I just love the freshness of the meal...Free salsa and chips rounded the meal out...I had the enchaladas and I would definately get them again...The prices were about the same as anywhere else, not high and not a bargain either...Give them a try and see for yourself. read more

Service was quick, food was okay. 2 stars because we ate on the patio and the woman at the table next to us smoked 3 cigarettes in the 45 minutes we were there and it was all anyone could smell. Food was great, service was terrible. One guy took our order and we never saw him again. A woman dropped our food off. I ordered carnitas which are supposed to come with tortillas and did not. I spent the next ten minutes trying to get attention to get tortillas and hot sauce while my food got cold (it was freezing there and other people were also cold). The woman came back with my tortillas after I had eaten half of my food. My wife asked for hot sauce and she forgot so I got up and found the hot sauce myself. She then showed up after being ice cold to us and asked if everything was ok. Not ok. Not coming back. A piece of east Los Angeles right here in Webster! I am a Rochester boy who moved to the L.A. area in 1985. Stayed out there 26 years and just moved back "home" to Rochester 2 years ago. Living in L.A., I knew what I call "hardcore" Mexican food and have found it in Webster of all places! They have been open since late last year and we just found it, first time tonight. Unreal. So authentic. I don't like most corporate restaurants, love mom & pop. We tried Adalita's and thought it was good until a bad experience a few months ago. Coronas is THE place for Mexican. The taquitos were better than the ones on Olvera St.! (Google it) my wife had a margarita that was perfect, I had a Tecate in an ice cold mug with lime. This food was ridiculous! I always "test" a Mexican place by their Chile rellenos, frijoles, salsa and mole. If those are good they get it. We have a 4 and 7 year old so we walked in early at 4:30. We were the only table...... I was bummed because I always like local places to do well. Within 20 minutes the place started filling up! I am so surprised not one review and it seems popular. Please try this place, Corona's is our new regular spot for dead on authentic Los Angeles style home cooking! I'll add a few pics soon. read more

The previous 2 visits were so good we invited my father-in-law to join us when he visited this evening. Both he and I ordered the taco salad which we both felt were terrible. The shell was burned at the edges, the ground beef had no seasoning, there was no cheese sauce we could notice, tomatoes consisted of 1/2 slice not even cut up and the whole salad was a soggy flavorless mess. We should have had them taken back but the service was already slow and we wanted to leave. It will be hard to want to return. On a positive note the restaurant is nicely decorated and the booths were comfortable. It was a very busy night so that probably had something to do with the slow service. read more
