Just got my food and have to say that the customer service was not good. Granted the place was packed but I literally waited over 45 min for my sandwich after watching plenty of people that ordered after me receive theirs first. After asking on the status, they went and then made my order, which was clearly missed. They then messed it up by not packing it to go. After all of that, zero apologies or recognition for the mess ups and inconvenience. Management needs to provide better training for their staff read more

Awesome place to go for lunch if you are craving a sandwich. My favorite is the turkey but I've had the meat ball as well as the sausage and peppers. Phone in orders are a good idea as they get very busy during the lunch rush. Additional parking is on the side and behind the building. read more

The Orange location is significantly smaller than the Anaheim location but is great for stopping in on your lunch break. There is NO MARKET attached, only the deli portion. You can still get pasta, pizza, and sandwiches. If you're on this side of town and craving Cortina's, this will hit the spot. This is a satellite location from the main Cortinas in Anaheim. It's about the same size with a cozy, sort of rustic, barn feel to it. I was really enjoying the atmosphere until they turned on the music :-\ I opted for the penne pesto knowing it would probably be their worst because the pesto usually is from my experience, and the pesto was actually pretty, and because of that I'm confident the other pastas are good haha - I know weird logic. This location is open earlier than the main location, which opens at 11, but it closes way earlier, closing at 3. If you want more options and more time, definitely go to the Anaheim location. read more

The ingredients used to prepare their meals always taste fresh and the customer service is uniform. Not great, not bad--just good. When ordering ahead (online/phone), the Anaheim location seems to have their orders a bit more organized. For instance, I placed an order online an hour in advanced at this location and even showed up 5 minutes early. Checked in and still had to wait another 10 minutes after my designated pick up time. I had customers walking-in placing orders in person and getting their meals before me. With that being said, the food is great. The service could be better, especially when comparing to the Anaheim location. read more

Really really awesome HUGE sandwiches I don't know how to fit it in my mouth. The meat and the veggies are all very fresh. The only thing was the bread was a bit hard, but then again who wants a soggy sandwich...It was our first time there (lunch) and we had the Cortina's Special and the All American. 4.5 stars because it was such a hidden gem! We had lunch here to have some sandwiches and it was way better than I expected! Rocky Balboa- porchetta with broccolini and roasted garlic. I got a 6" and it was more than enough. Came out nice and hot, really tasty, I reccommend it! I also got to try the roast beef tip and ravioli with meatballs (comes with garlic bread). All the food was great and a great deal, very generous portions. The parking lot is very odd, but not too big of an issue. The servers were really friendly and quick. Great find!! read more

So this is a sorta small place that seems even smaller at noon on a Friday. i think everyone in the OC was there for lunch when I went in and I know why; the pastrami! I really want to try the italian food because the pix online make it all look great, but I went with a friend who insisted we have pastrami. I'm not mad at her...it was delish...not fatty and just the right amount of ankle swelling salt. The bread is awesome (i noticed baguettes for sale). They offer a soda fountain with Stubborn drinks as well as san pelligrino and misc canned sodas. Call your order in, if you plan it right, you won't long wait for it. Im reserving a star for when i go back for lasagna or at least a meatball sandwich! Always satisfied with everything i get here. Today I wanted to go different so i asked to top my Lasagna with Fried Jalapeno Peppers such as the ones on the fireball Sandwich. I got Green Bell Peppers instead. It was still very good and added great flavor but i was looking for a little kick of heat added. My wife and I came here to eat lunch. She ordered a side of meats balls and a salad and myself a sandwich. Her meat balls came out with my sandwich and were told by the food runner that it works me a few minutes for her salad. Well I finished my sandwich and still no salad. She went to the counter to see where her salad was at and they said they were out of lettuce. So 15 min went by and no one knew they were out of lettuce. I'm obsessed with their Caprese Sandwich! The bread is soft and chewy, and the sauce is the absolute best. I usually phone in the order and pick it up, because they are extremely busy. But they function like a well oiled machine, so I've yet to see them mess up an order. And I work near by so sometimes we order up to seven sandwiches at a time. This is a very good local restaurant with excellent Italian food, including sandwiches and pasta. Cortina's offers phone-in ordering, which was both convenient and accurate. Food was ready as promised. I would like to see that they have some kind of "Pick-up" line so if you called in an order, you do not have to wait in the very long line. But, that is just a suggestion. NOT a deal-breaker. :-) Staff was very friendly. Food I had the lasagna for lunch. Wow. Very delicious and for pick up orders, it is provided in an aluminum plate, which made sure food was at the right temperature. The portion is quite sufficient and can be enough for lunch and dinner. But don't be shy.... If you are able to finish it, have at it! This order also came with garlic bread, which was a nice addition. Parking Parking can be very tight. Again, this seems to be a very popular local restaurant. So, keep that in mind. But well worth the effort in locating parking. Overall, really great experience with Cortina's. Attempted to order online as I wanted the Rocky Balboa, which my coworker introduced me to. But for some odd reason it didn't appear. I should have called but wasn't sure if I could but since I was so close by and was beating the lunch rush thought just walking in and ordering. They still had the Rocky Balboa, which is one of my top favorite sandwiches in OC (though I wish they gave out more jus) and the seasonal lasagna, which they informed me would only take 10 minutes. Sadly, it took longer than that and when I saw a bunch of people after me getting their orders I had to inquire again and sounded like my order got a bit lost. So do take that into account if you're on a time crunch. The seasonal fall lasagna was decent but on the rich side so I've turned it 4 mini meals. read more

Sandwich favorites: Cortina's Special, Fireball, Rocky Balboa Their salads are always fresh and delicious. They are never skimpy or wilty salads. All of them are good and if you can, try their seasonal salads. Special mention: their meatballs! Whether in the meatball sub or spaghetti (or a la carte!), they are tender and delicious! Ordered 3 sandwiches for pick up the other day. Went to pick them up and drive back to work. Opened up the sandwiches and 2 of them were the wrong sandwich. Called them to let them know they screwed up (it happens, I get it) and reorder the correct sandwiches. I get back about 20 minutes later thinking they would have the new ones ready but they hadn't even started yet. I had to wait another 15 minutes to get the correct sandwiches. When they finally finished, I didn't even get a "hey we're really sorry" or anything. Just a "here are the new sandwiches, have a nice day". Ok, so at the end of the day, the food is great, but still a little upset I had to spend overall about an hour to get the right order without an apology. read more
