I wanted to like this place and I will say the vibe and look is spot on LA right now. We ordered alot of items and for the most part they were ok and under seasoned. I would go back for other try but one spot they need to work on is service about the food and wine. I felt they know little or did not want to share knowledge about the menu. Waiter asked if this was our first visit which it was but did not tell us about any of the dishes or wine menu. I know it a casual spot but a bit more about menu would of helped. read more

Nice ambiance, high expectations but low delivery...food is average, overpriced, nothing was up to the level expected from Italian restaurant. They charge you for everything including pinch of olive oil (never heard of), 4% health charge, selection of wines almost non-existent and delivered in half size glasses for high price. We recently went here for the first time. The cheese pizza ws very good, but should be seved in a elevated tray with small plates, otherwise it is a mess. The baccala was odd, but I'ce never had it before, The wine was good, but the red wines by the glass selections was too small, & they were out of the California ones. The bread was good. The bagna cauda was served with raw broccolli, which I am not crazy about. There was no pasta. I think this makes a restaurant not qualify as Italian. Great atmosphere, good service and the food is tasty. An interesting take on a Caesar salad and some good pizzas. The quality of all the ingredients is excellent. However, when we asked for a little extra marinara sauce for the eggplant we ordered which was barely seasoned, they brought us a 2 ounce container. I didn't think anything of it until we got our bill and we were charged two dollars for the sauce. We had a $400 bill and they charged us two dollars for 2 ounces of marinara sauce. Our server didn't tell us about the charge though apparently it was written on the menu. However, I didn't have the menu in front of me when I ordered the sauce. Not a big deal but it did put a bad taste in my mouth (not literally). It felt petty and greedy. And that's the reason we won't be going back for a while. Ate at Cosetta on opening night with some co-workers - everything was INCREDIBLE. The pizza, shrimp scampi, bread with burrata, chicken wings, potato side dish, honestly everything. Super cool vibe walking in the hosts were super friendly- we were rushed into ordering and our waitress barely greeted us and wasn't giving any personality which normally I would never comment on but she then followed that with the fact that we had to order everything all at once, weird situation. Also the manager on the floor checked on us but seemed annoyed or on a mission to deal with anything else. Food was good and I would come back for sure but I'd encourage a less robotic experience with our waitress to make it more personable. read more

Great vibe and drinks. The food was disappointing. It felt like it was trying too hard. It all was overly fried, salty or just way too much. Loved the idea but wouldn't come back for the food. Dessert was pretty good. We got the peanut butter one. It was good but hard to get all layers out of the jar. The hostess was friendly and our waitress gave off a fake friendly vibe. It was hard to track her down, she seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the menu and when we asked questions about one of the dishes we ordered she was visibly irritated. Wasn't looking for a discount or anything but her reaction to us not liking one of them was very strange. We said the dish wasn't for us and she responded by saying "you should have read the menu more closely. Other people love it". Our table was near some bushes and toward the end of our meal some kind or rodent (definitely not a bird) ran through the bushes very close to my friend. She jumped and screamed. The waitress saw the whole thing go down and never once came over to ask if everything was ok. Disappointing. Would maybe go back for drinks. read more

Absolutely love our meals at Cosetta--a true neighborhood gem. The bagna cauda is delicious with fresh veggies and warm bread to dip. The guanciale pizza is another favorite: great crust, really flavorful, and just the right amount of toppings. The Milanesi options (especially the chicken) are consistently a hit at our table too--crispy, tasty, and satisfying. And don't sleep on the butter beans...they made be a side dish, but they're as delicious as an entree. Came here for a girls night and had the most delicious meal. The uni and clam pizza is definitely a highlight as is the shrimp starter. Cosetta is my new go-to neighborhood spot for date night with my fiancé. It's STUNNING, the servers are wonderful, and the menu is unique but still has those comforting staples you know and love. We went yesterday for a 7:45 reservation and they were PACKED and had to seat us 10 min late (they've only been open a month or 2, we didn't expect perfection & 10 min is nothing lol) and they were so apologetic and brought a free round of mozzarella sticks to our table to make up for it. We've been through a lot worse for a lot less at other restaurants in LA. They make you feel like family and I can't wait to become a regular here!!! I wish I had more pics of the food! read more

Having heard of this place opening up we wanted to try it. The clientele was smartly dressed and seems to be a popular special occasion destination. The Novanta Mista salad was incredibly fresh and had a nice variety of radicchio, lettuces, cucs, tomato and radishes. The slices of prosciutto played well off of the subtle olive oil dressing. The supreme pizza was nicely cooked and a great combo of flavors. Though I think I would skip the jalapeno next time. And then there were the butter beans! Cosetta has elevated the butter bean to a savory wonder. The service was attentive and timely. The one knock I would have is the noise level inside got quite loud. Most of the seating seems to be outside, which might be quieter. For a table for 2 inside, I would recommend to be by the windows. They validate parking in the gated lot. The food was wonderful ! We had the chopped salad . Two pizzas, the hummus and the wine and cocktails! Wonderful ! No complaints . Staff was super sweet, environment is so cute and they are dog friendly - kids welcome too. How lovely ! This restaurant has great ambiance and location. Food quality and preparation are excellent. The reason for 3 stars is some of the dishes need work. The menu is very acid heavy with not a lot of mellow options. The pizza was good. The chicken is great but it's too much acid with the Thai cecca. Caesar salad was great. Sand dabs too fried / heavy. Tuna tartar again way too much acid / citrus. Chef tried to balance it with the aioli but it just doesn't work. This place would be amazing if they used about 1/2 as much citrus / acid in the flavors. read more
