I had a great time here. I was in town for a weekend wedding, and we spent Friday afternoon exploring. We sat outside and enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. The staff was all fantastic, and one even gave me sample of different drinks to make sure I liked what I ordered. I ended up getting the espresso martini and then the matcha painkiller with gin. I sample the Island Time, which was good as well -- essentially a pina colada. I'm not a big rum fan, so it wasn't my favorite, but I'm sure rum lovers would enjoy! I visited Austin for the weekend, and my friend wanted to get some wings at Tommy Wants Wingys food truck, so we visited Cosmic. We were there around 8pm on a Friday, and it was pretty packed! We found parking on the street, as the parking lot in front of Cosmic and the climbing gym was full. We got the Sweet Chili and Ranch On Fire wings (5 pieces each) + Ranch. It took about 30 minutes for our 2 orders of wings, but it was so worth it! I ate 3 of the Sweet chili and one of Ranch on fire, as I'm not a spicy food kinda person. I liked the sweet chili one; ranch on fire was burning hot, and one piece was certainly enough! Definitely goes well with ranch, although you gotta pay extra for it - so don't forget to include that in your order if you want it! We also grabbed some drinks. My friend got an Austin East Cider, and I got the Elenita sparkling mezcal passionfruit paloma. I loved my mezcal drink! Very refreshing on a summer night. Good, chill vibes. My friend picked me up from the Austin airport and our first stop in the city was Cosmic Coffee! I definitely needed pick-me-up after a long travel morning / afternoon, and Cosmic Coffee was the perfect spot. We appreciated that there was a parking lot on premise, and we were pleased to see that the space was massive! It was a beautiful day in Austin, so it was the perfect day to sit in their expansive outdoor area. Lots of people were there at ~3PM on a Thursday, some working on their laptops, others just there seemingly to hangout. We snagged a shaded spot and easily ordered via their QR code link. Cosmic Coffee offered a number of specialty coffee drinks, as well as coffee spiked drinks and just straight up alcoholic drinks. I opted for the Cosmic Comet, a cold brew featuring orange honey, Mexican vanilla, and oat milk. I'm more of a hot coffee person, so I went for hot, but appreciated that iced was also an option. The drink was delightful - it was very orange forward, and the oat milk added a nice unexpected flavor. At $5, it was a bit of steep cost but it was worth it. My friend went for the lavender matcha latte, which she also really enjoyed! We didn't snag any food while at Cosmic Coffee, but they did have a variety of food trucks available with different options so you could totally make a day or just an afternoon out of a trip to this spot. They do offer wifi, so you could totally work from here while enjoying some nice coffee and snacks. Overall, I enjoyed my quick afternoon at Cosmic Coffee! The price was a bit steep, but the unique drinks are worth it. Would definitely suggest to anyone visiting Austin! Would love to try their hard drinks on my next visit! read more

such a chill vibe here. there's randomly a chicken coop and water fountains - it doesn't get more austin than this! it gets super busy on the weekends so i try to avoid. but i love going on a weekday to get work done and have lunch. i do make sure it's not a day i have to take meetings cause it's fairly loud. the employees are all super nice and they keep everything tidy. the drinks are really fun, wether you're in for a classic drink or something more unique, there's something for everyone. also, they have 3 food trucks on sight - the mexican one is my fav! cosmic is def worth a visit. read more

My friend and I made a pit stop here before going to dinner and an event in downtown Austin and we are so glad we did! We enjoyed the Nitro Espresso Cocktail and the Watermelon Cooler (with Vodka). Both were SO SO good! The Nitro Espresso Cocktail was smooth and very well balanced in the flavor profile. The Watermelon Cooler was so refreshing and honestly, you couldn't tell there was any vodka in it because it was made so well! The service was great when we placed our order and they were very friendly and helpful with answering questions we had. It's like a beer garden + bar + permanent food truck rally + chicken coop + there are water features everywhere. I got the boozy frozen coffee and OMG it's truly the greatest thing you could drink to both wake up and get the party started at the same time. There are tons of seating options across the extensive patio/yard, but we elected to sit on cozy Adirondacks overlooking the perfect little koi pond. One of my favorite hang out spots in town, I find myself here pretty often despite it being fairly out of the way from North Central Austin. Despite its popularity I've almost never had trouble getting a table with how much space they have outdoors. Their indoor space is comparably small and fairly loud, especially on weekends, but if you go at a less busy time it's comfortable in there as well. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, it makes for a great place to spend a warm afternoon or hang out after work for happy hour. Their menu of both coffee and alcoholic drinks is wide enough to never really get bored, and the quality is consistently high. They do break my coffee shop rule of charging extra for no ice in their cold brew, but they're at least very clear about it on their menu and all their other positives are so strong that I'm more than happy to make an exception. While they don't serve food themselves they have a few food trucks that I've also had good experiences with. I usually go for the taco truck, Pueblo Viejo (the black habanero salsa is one of the best I've had in Austin), but the wing and bbq trucks also have great reputations. read more

Amazing atmosphere, very spacious: there's waterfalls, fish pond, chicken coop, vegetable garden, lots of different types of seating, food trucks with reeeally good food. Delicious drinks: lots of interesting looking alcoholic drinks although I've always come for the coffee and tea. The coffee special is always really good and then the chai latte...that chai latte blows me away. It's very nicely spiced, one of the best chai lattes in the city. And because the space is so nice, loads of people bring their dogs in, which i looooove. And the baristas greet the regular dogs by name. So, that's like plus 100 points. read more

This is a great spot for any time of the day. Working remote and want a change of scenery? Come grab a coffee and get to working from here! Meeting up with some friends on your day off? Get a Boozy Coffee while hanging out! So good! There are food trucks for lunch and dinner and then of course, amazing cocktails and drinks available as well! Parking is shared with the rock climbing gym next door and so parking can be a challenge to find both in the parking lot or on the side street. I ordered a chai, which I'm usually not partial to but I thought I'd give it a try. It's honestly the first chai latte I remember liking. And not just "like". I loved it!!! Cosmic, for me, is all about the expansive patio area. I love the lush greenery, water features, and multiple shaded tables. The food trucks are a wonderful asset, as well. I'm not a meat-eater, so I haven't tried the chicken wings or BBQ trucks (and won't). But the taco truck...oh yeah, those guys can definitely bring the fare. They have an extensive menu that includes plates or tacos a la carte, and you can combine tacos of your choosing for a combo plate. None of the trucks serve drinks, even water, so for those, you'll need to enter the Cosmic zone, which is straight ahead from where you enter. The drink menu is comprehensive and elaborate, and spread across the wall above the bar. They have multiple coffee drinks, cold and hot, including frozen slushy coffees with alcohol. It's a coffee house, but it's also a full bar, staffing about four bartenders, so there isn't much of a wait. Water is available free to the left when you enter. You can order from their app, which links from a QR code on the table, and leave a tab open. I prefer to pay with cash, and they had no problem with bar orders for cash or card payment there. Specialty drinks are around $10 and up. They offer multiple draft and bottle beers, and they recycle. The parking lot is shared with other local businesses and has been full/almost full every time I've been there. So I suggest carpool/rideshare, which I've also done. People tend to meet up here in small groups. It gets crowded. But all the good places in Austin do these days. read more
