I've visited Cosmo Nails several times but today I encountered Trish. Trish was very nasty. I asked her about the thickness of my nails and she said "your nails are going to grow and I can't help that". She was filing my nails in a pointed shape, I suggested a more oval than pointed shape and she responded, 'I'll just square them off that should be no problem. I said I mean more oval than square or pointed and she snapped "got it". She never tried to make conversation with me, just quickly rushed through the nail job and was also rude when I paid, never saying thank you or anything. So sorry to encounter Trish, because I've never had that experience with any of the others. Please do not let Trish work on your nails. I asked if she was having a bad day and I let her know that she had been short with me at least twice. read more

I had a mani/pedi yesterday evening, and I didn't get the name of the gentleman who worked on me. By far the worst I have ever had. I have done a better job myself. My cuticles were not removed and are all jagged. My feet don't look any different than before my pedicure. I am very disappointed with my results. The first 2 times I went to this salon, it was a pleasant experience. Nice manicure- but I don't love the fact that they use drills on natural nails. I prefer a buffer or non-electric tool to remove gel polish. However, the third time I visited, I wanted a simple dot design added to my nails. I wanted 1 dot on the top of each nail in a different color, and 3 dots on one nail....seems pretty simple. The nail tech stated they do not do ANY designs whatsoever..at a nail shop...... confusing at best. I then ask if she can just do a glitter top coat over the color I had picked out...again NO. I tell her that I will just go somewhere else that can do what i'm wanting. Since she has already started removing my gel polish, she tells me I can either leave with my polish half removed (was on my lunch break so would have had to go the rest of the day with no polish) or pay for the removal of the polish. The most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced. What kind of nail salon can't do even the simplest of designs or a glitter top coat?!?!?! would not recommend unless you want the most basic manicure (one color, no embellishment whatsoever) read more

Horrible experience! I was overcharged!! I went up there today and showed them a pic of what I wanted. It was a patriotic design on my toes. I started off the pedicure with a man and the pedicure was over within 25 min, all he had left to do was paint. 25 min is not a relaxing experience. It is a rush job. Oh and the chair didn't work and I had to tell him 3 times and he acted like it was a problem to fix it. He started painting and asked me where I wanted the blue and white stars, I told him just like the picture. started doing it backwards, so I told him that it wasn't right. The flag would be backwards. He snapped at me, going off about "I asked you this, I asked you that." I was taken aback by him snapping at me. You never do that to a customer! He then put me under a dryer and I had to wait for a girl to come and finish painting. This paint job is horrible. The stars look like blobs. I never should have paid. I was charged $25 for the pedi and and additional $15 for the design. Are you kidding me 15 for a design?? S0 $40 total. I questioned the price before I left but unfortunately the rude man that started the pedicure checked me out and he was like yes, it is that price. I should have never paid that! I later called and asked to speak to a manager, only to be told that the manager was not in yet. I got my pedi at 3:00. Called at 5:00 and they are not in yet? You are about to close! I also asked if they would be in and the response was, "I don't know." So I said I would call back. I called back 10 min later and the person on the phone told me that the shop was hers. I told her about my experience and asked for a refund. She said she could not do that. She said I had to come back up there. Are you kidding me? Come back for what? Two people could not get it right, you think I am going to let you do it again? NO! I just want my money back. I hope you all can see the pic that I added for Cosmo Nails. Not sure why Cosmo has such bad reviews! This is the only place in Nashville that I'll go. Tried everywhere else and no one is as good as the kind people here. If you're looking for a gel manicure, you seriously should go here. They do a clean, perfect job every time, and my gel manicure lasts for 2.5 weeks. Can't get that anywhere else. They also have way more color options than anywhere else I've been and I've tried 6 other nail salons. Won't go anywhere else read more

Standard mani/pedi $40. Went in early, no waiting and 30min later done. Not very impressed with the quality of their work. For example, if you have semi-hard heels that need some scrubbing, I'd recommend you go somewhere else read more

They do an okay job. My chief complaint is their hours. The past 3 times that I have been,they have been closed, despite their hours being posted on their door showing that they are open. I feel as though they choose to open/close whenever they want - so it's a little frustrating trying to go when you don't know if anyone will be there or not! read more

My shellac ($35 with manicure, $25 without manicure) was quick, and lasted two weeks. Not a place to go if you're looking to be "pampered in a luxurious setting" but a good place if you want a quick manicure that will stay on long enough to be worth the time and money. Great mani pedi -- asked to do at the same time to save time and was accommodated. Price is now $40 (never seen it cheaper than that in Nashville though). It was a cool fall evening so they had the front door propped open which meant there were no strong chemical smells, which I loved. I will be back! read more

The 3 sisters, their husbands & mother all work at the salon. The place is always clean, the staff is always friendly and their prices are much more reasonable than the other "fancy" places in Belle Meade & Green Hills....plus it doesn't take hours to get the work done, yet you never feel rushed. read more

Probably the worst pedi I've ever had..the whole thing took about 20 min.. My feet barely got wet.. He took the old polish off ..cut them shorter ..used some kinda exfoliated stuff, got clean off right away.. No massaging ever was involved.. Paint the new polish on. 20 min. It was the shortest I've ever had. Not worth it.. If I just want my toes painted ..I would do it at home..totally rushed and I was the only person inside.. i am on the search for a really good nail salon in nashville that is up to date on new designs for nails. i have been here and there and everywhere, and have not found a nail home yet. when i went to cosmo nails i enjoyed the enviroment she did a really good job on my nails and didnt take as long as other places. I got a new set but within 1 week and a half 3 nails have broke and i havent been hard on my nails, they have simply popped off and i didnt even know. from a brand new set i wouldnt expect that. im a working mom and dont have time to be going to the salon once or twice a week. so for that matter im still on the hunt for the perfect nail salon in nashville. smh read more
