My wife and I came here for the first time and we had the best experience ever! Starting off with the variety of different salsas, chips, and margaritas. The guava margarita is a MUST!! Our server, Taylor was very accommodating with our drink refills and other needs. She gave very detail orientated recommendations on the menu and they were spot on! Good food and good happy hour but definitely BAD SERVICE!!! They're suppose to open at 11am and I stood outside for 15 minutes after. I tried opening the doors and they were locked and no one came to greet or see if I was trying to go in even though workers passed by. My boyfriend used to work here so he wanted us to grab some food and for me to check iy out. I, myself, don't eat seafood so I was limited to a few dishes which included beef. So I got the beef taco plate and he got Costas. My food was alright, as basic as a taco can get. I had to ask for cheese and some sauce to bring it to life. Our server, sucked. I wish I knew his name but didn't see him enough to even get that. Never once came to check on us. He was one of those that "peeked from afar" never to approach and ask if we needed anything. My boyfriend had to get up multiple times and get my soda refills from his friend at the bar. And physically hunt down the server for to go box and check. I dont think I'd return. read more

This is a pretty average seafood restaurant. It's the type of place that I like to go with some friends for lunch or stop after work. It is very loud. They do have outside sidewalk seating...but for right now...it's pretty hot outside. They have high table and low table seating inside for those who may find this to be an important add to their dining experience. The food prices are on the low end for seafood plates ( $12-$20). The food is average...not great, just okay. They have all day Marguerita's in different flavors...my friend said she couldn't taste any alcohol in hers. She would know! The service was okay. The location is by the Silo off of 1604 just past Blanco ... which is easy to get to. If your looking for something special ... this isn't your place. I like the atmosphere, it was reasonable service but don't get the food raves. Ceviches are full of perfectly diced fillers and look pretty, tilapia showed up a few times and while the soups are really flavorful, they are a bit skimpy and so are the beer pours..aaaand it is pricey (though not bad if the fish was flown in daily or acquired daily from a good purveyor) People I trust tell me to try the tacos, so I will make a third trip and try those and apparently the happy hour is where it is at. Love, love this place and have been there several times now as I have fallen for their Tuna Carpaccio and their Costa Salad. Went there last night and the night before. Last night there was nine of us and it was a little concerning as they all seemed a bit disoriented. Same thing the night before. We love this place and want it to stay top of it's game. Please, whatever is the problem, fix it! Employees don't seem as happy and it shows in the service. Have to say our server, Jesus D, was excellent last night. Also my son and granddaughter ordered a Red Crab Enchilada and neither could eat it. The red sauce was horrible. It will take a lot more than this to keep us away but hope this isn't the beginning of major problems. You guys really rock and I'd hate to lose you. Help! You had me at the sight of your Shrimp Cocktail, but then made me regret eating all those tortilla chips when your Chicharron de Pescado appeared. Yes, I have a strange relationship with seafood and you are more than justified to judge. However, please trust me here and give Costa Pacifica a try. If you like authentic and fresh seafood, go. If you like saucey, tangy and mouth-watering flavor combinations - the way Mexico does it - GO. Menu highlights include Ceviche Brenda (may this Brenda be happy and proud wherever she is,) Chicharron de Pescado, Marisco Mix Soup, Pacific Tostada, Shrimp cocktail and their SashiTOmi. 2.5 stars I heard great things about this place so I decided to check it out last night for dinner. I thought it was going to be a regular seafood place and was surprised to find that it was kind of more a Mexican place. But it is San Antonio.. :) My fiance and I ordered the Fish Taco Al Pastor, another taco with shrimp & avocado, and the Pescadilla. The two tacos were good ($3.25 for fish taco and $5.00 for shrimp -- so not the cheapest) and the Pescadilla empanada was just so-so. As for entrees, my fiance got the grilled salmon and I got the Popeye fillet. Both sounded really good and looked good in the photos, but they seemed very watery and flavorless. The vegetables were lightly steamed with no seasoning (healthy, but not really what you expect at a restaurant). WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Disappointment from the first sip to the salty last bite. While waiting an hour for a table, I attempted to purchase a cucumber martini. I was ignored by the bartenders and was later presented with a half full martini that was not at all what I expected. It was very sweet and had more of a melon flavor rather than a cucumber feel. After finally getting a seat, my wife and I were excited to sample a few things off of the menu. The staff did not accommodate a simple request (no tomatoes) with our meal. Due to dietary restrictions we had to send half our meal back because they were not cautious. The other issue with the meal was a high salt content. It was like taking a gulp of ocean water when we bit into our "Gallega" Octopus. Having appetizers like this in the past, we know what flavors to encounter. This meal left us sad and dissatisfied. Many places claim that they have ceviche... but it ends up tasting like fish sticks soaked in in tomato juice. There are so many things that can go wrong with a ceviche recipe, which is why it is so hard to find a restaurant that can do ceviche well. This place can not only do ceviche well, but has several different kinds. The fish and vegetables were fresh and the flavor was bold and complex, without being "fishy". The fish tacos al pastor were unique and very flavorful. My daughter had ordered a grilled beef taco and asked for a side of vegetables and what she got was an expertly cooked plate of tacos and vegetables which smelled amazing. Even the margarita and mojito that my wife and I had complemented the meal perfectly with the crisp and refreshing flavors. Definitely not shy with the alcohol... Daniela was a great waitress, as she was always making excellent recommendations and anticipating our requests before we knew we wanted something. This is as close as you can get to Authentic Mexican Seafood in SA The restaurant itself is somewhat small, but its clean & simple decor. They have outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant by the parking lot and they also have a patio with fans and nice view towards the backside of restaurant. They had great service ! We were never thirsty. Our waiter was always cheking on us, but wasnt over doing it either. We enjoyed all of our dishes.... I had the Oriental Tostada! You have to try this when you go ! Tastes sorta like sushi on a tostada. I also tried the fish ceviche tostada ...yum and then I had the Zarandeado Fillet.... Everything was good. They have Happy Hour from 4-7 during the week. Tried this place out on a whim and it was so worth the visit :) I ordered the Coast Tostada Mix which had one fish ceviche tostada & one Norwegian tostada. I was super excited about the Norwegian tostada but ended up being a bigger fan of the ceviche tostada. Everything was really fresh and flavorful. The tostadas are very thick, crunchy and have a bit of smokey flavor. I also ordered the shrimp empanada, which came with a side of chunky guacamole. It had smokey bits of shrimp wrapped in a delicious empanada pastry. Yum! The hubs ordered shrimp tacos & I assume he was happy with his order because his plate was cleaned up in no time. I was not very impressed, but this place has only been open a week. I will come back in a month or so n see if they've worked out the kinks. I did not care for the aqua-colored small tortillas they serve w their sauces. These tortillas r cold and hard and very granular. The sauces come in thimble-size cups. Although small in serving size, they r big in flavor. The shrimp cocktail was tasty but had entirely too much cocktail sauce. Not sure if they're using it as filler. I also had the chicken nachos which were very good. The great things r they have a Happy Hour in which they have several food selections for $5.99, the frozen margs r $2.99 n the deck has live music, which was jazzy n great to listen to! Last night, I arrived a few minutes before the end of Happy Hour. My waiter couldn't have been nicer! I'd never been and he explained the Happy Hour menu. I ordered the chicken nachos and a michelada. They were great! Individually prepared. A friend had suggested that I try the Shrimp Verde Enchiladas. I haven't eaten here often enough to give the menu and honest review - but I can speak highly of the ambiance for happy hour. They often have live music, the indoor bar opens up with huge sliding doors to the outdoor patio overlooking the golf course. Nice mixed drinks and good wine selection. If older guys are your thing, this place is a magnet for that genre. read more

This place is beachy mexican seafood by way of Acapulco prices. The menu is large and intimidating and somewhat misleadingly has a page devoted to "a la carte" options. This is probably the only place in town where a taco or tostada will range in price from $3.50-$5. But if you get the right thing, it'll be okay... We saw several different tacos that sounded good enough to try, and noticed a sampler plate that included six tacos for sharing. Added a Sophie Tostada (it's a nickname I go by, so I had to!) and the fish soup. I wstarted with the soup which was rather plain and lacked the burst of flavor I expected, but there was plenty of fish in the bottom of our bowl, thankfully. Wouldn't get this again though. Next was the Sophie tostada. Let me just say that this was the hgihlight of my entire weekend- what appears to be a smeared on layer of beans is actually a layer of tuna tartare (and allegedly shrimp, according to the menu description) and some peppers in the middle, and an amazing soy-sauce based marinade type drizzle. It's an explosion of tasty fish, much like a mexican take on sashimi. As for the taco sampler plate- it was a good variety and good to share, we did half of each taco each, allowing us to taste each one. Two were amazing, three were okay, and one was kind of bland and unremarkable- rather good odds, to be honest. Will come back on a weekday for their happy hour specials ($2 margs all Tuesday!) , the phenomenal-looking flan crusted with nuts, and about as many Sophie tostadas as I can fit in my belly! Additional Notes/tips: The only reasons I'm docking stars on this place is customer service and pricing- the hostess stand is literally two inches inside the front door, and if the hostess you get is as inept as the one ons taff today, as soon as there's more than one person in line you'll be standing outside waiting. I guess it was her fist day or something because it took us over five minutes to get seated outdoors, at a table that was already cleared. Waiter we got was helpful with menu suggestions, but clearly had too many tables and was difficult to get a hold of when we were ready to order, making the visit take a lot longer than it needed to. As for pricing, most entrees are around $20, apps about $10 or more, and the sides are like $4 for vegetables? $6 to add a SIDE SALAD to an entree? Who the hell would do that? Oh, and if you want to add slices of avocado to anything, it'll be a $4 charge- for that price, I'm expecting two avocados... read more

They have a great menu system, everything on there is photographed and looks great, but when it comes to you, it just does not live up to what you were expecting. This one is easy to sum up: if you care more about ambiance and less about the quality and of your Mexican seafood experience, go to Casa Pacifica. On the flip side, if you'll sacrifice nice ambiance in favor of superior seafood, take a U-turn back to Blanco and head south until you hit El Bucanero. I tried Casa Pacifica hoping to find the same quality with better ambiance. But what I found was lesser quality seafood trying to be covered up by more elaborate sauces. Really enjoy this place! Go there a couple Tuesdays a month for hh! Jalapeño ceviche is very good. Usually get the nachos which are also very tasty...generous on the cheese and comes with pico,guac and sour cream. Rocks House margaritas are basically lime juice triple sec and tequila-perfect! I think even 1 star is generous when writing about this restaurant. This was hands down the WORST SERVICE EVER. First of all, the waiter was the slowest server I have ever experienced. He messed up on our food order as well as our drink order. There was a point when he didn't attend to us for 45 minutes. No drink refills, nothing. My friend and I decided to leave and when he brought us the check, of course it was wrong. He had added at least 4 drinks we had not had. When I spoke to the manager, although he was nice, he was not helpful. And the manager then offered to give us drink tickets for our next time there, then disappeared. The food was mediocre at best and nothing I would return to this establishment for. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else. read more

I really enjoyed the Ceviche tostada that I ordered. Along with that I ordered the Marisco soup. I was disappointed with how small of a portion you receive for the price and there wasnt very much shrimp in my soup. Most Mariscos usually have crab as well and this had none. The flavor was on point though. I probably wont order the soup again. They say that this style seafood is great for a hangover. When I showed up to this place I did not imagine that the staff would be hungover, lol! At least it seemed like they were not all quite awake. It took me a half hour to get a menu, took like what seemed forever to get a drink, my appetizer, and then the other items we ordered. I gave it three stars because the food was not bad. I liked the oysters and the octopus.
