Watch the charges before you pay! They charge for extra items you don't order and they don't give you! Well this used to be one of my favorite better than "fast food" restaurants. However, my last three visits, I have been over charged by the cashier putting extra items on my bill that I did not order or charging me for items that actually come with my meal. First off the food is okay, I prefer the Colleyville, TX location. My boyfriend asked for extra meat on his quesadilla and the manager Irma gave him a weird look. He said he doesn't mind paying extra? So what's the issue? Put the meat on there? Why question a customer and give him a dirty look on his food? They give tiny proportions of meat on the quesadilla. There should be a good meat to cheese ratio. Anyways I ordered a side of sweet pork and a side of mango salsa with chips. I asked for the 2 ounce side of sweet pork and she filled it to what it looked like to me halfway. We paid an extra 6$ for meat in the end, a bit pricey but we didn't mind it. I went back up to asked if they could fill up the sweet pork cup. Ever, an employee there, began to fill it up for me when Irma took it out of his hands to weigh it. WEIGH IT. She sat there and weighed my sweet pork. She explained that she put it in the 4 ounce cup. Why would you put it in a 4 ounce cup when i asked for 2 ounces? Which is fine, if it was 2 ounces it's 2 ounces, but I definitely didn't appreciate the attitude that came along with the explanation. Anyways, the rest of the staff is nice, except Irma. I have heard through my other friends they have had a bad experience here with that particular manager. Which sucks because I really like costa vida but she just has a unnecessary attitude that I feel others wouldn't appreciate. read more

Absolutely love the sweet pork salad. Anything with sweet pork is awesome. My daughter loves the cheese quesadillas and cinnamon tortillas. My husband got the chicken quesadillas and loved them too. This is one of my favorite places to eat! I love this location to. Great service. read more

I've had an issue every time I've come here, but the food is usually good so I end up ordering again. After today not so sure. I drove 20 minutes to pick up my online order, picked my husbands food up to finally get home about 40 minutes later. We all get ready to eat together, and I notice I'm missing beans from my Baja bowl. It may seem small but I ordered what I ordered because that's what I wanted, and expected to have it. I called the store-no one answered the first three times. I finally got through and spoke with Irma who apologized, offered to remake it, which is great, BUT I'D have to drive back over there wasting my gas and sitting In traffic yet again. Who compensates me for that!? Because someone couldn't complete my order correctly, so now as the consumer I need to be completely inconvenienced. I tell her fine, remake it I'll be up there and to have it ready. I call and she tells me she'll be out there shortly and I end up waiting an extra 7 minutes for her to bring out the food. This is a local chipotle copy. It's just ok, they use fresh grilled tortillas but the fillings are left out for a while and the flavors aren't quite dialed in yet. For the cost and quality I would probably pass. read more

When a kid picks where to eat- we end up here. Terrible guacamole that is not fresh. The tomatillo sauce is thick which is odd for tomatillo sauce. Chicken has no flavor. Beans tasted from a can. Make yourself a favor- go to Chipotle across the street if you want fast food. read more

We were on our way to eat somewhere else last night when we drove by and saw that really cool water tank in the dining area. I did not know they were open yet so I pulled a u turn and we came right in. Cool vibe that makes me feel like I'm on vacation. Surf videos playing on the tv. That was a good thing too cause who would not want to watch Kelly Slater carving some good waves. Oh yeah, the food. I really like this place and have added it to my lunch rotation. Their chicken enchiladas are delicious. They are very generous with the amount of chicken that they put in each enchilada and the red chili sauce is very good. I got fresh lettuce and pico on mine and they tasted amazing. I will say that the rice and beans are not very good. I substitute them for a generous helping of chips and add some fresh guacamole to my order and that is one delicious lunch. Wife, daughter and I ventured here over the weekend; driven by the Colleyville location and this one many times, but never stopped until a HS freshman stopped by my door selling fundraiser coupon book and this place happened to be in it and I am glad it was. At first wasn't sure what to expect after reading reviews, but I am confident there must be some confusion after our visit. Immediately upon entry the place is lively, colorful and open. As soon as we walk up to the menu a person from behind the counter asked if we had any questions. Turns out he was the manager there for about the last 3 months; Brandon Vessels. Brandon was great with people skills, eager to give samples and made the orders himself. Wife got the x2 enchilada plate with Chicken and Steak and I got the x2 Taco with shredded beef and raspberry chicken. My wife was happy with her dish, I think preferred the Chicken (she is VERY picky with her mexican food) and I am ELATED with the tacos I had. I have a sweet tooth and I like fruit so the raspberry chicken was right up my alley. Salsa and Queso were both unique and delicious. What I liked most was that everything was made fresh... right in front of us. Brandon also came back by the table about half-way through our meal to ensure we were satisfied. Was really excited to try a new place in the wake of Chipotle's recent issues. I'm sorry to say it was not a good experience. I had the shredded beef burrito with verde sauce and a side of chips with queso. I also requested small samples of a couple of their salsas to try for future. I was shocked that everything had a sweet flavor. Being someone who doesn't like to mix sweet either my savory I know not to order specific menu item but have never had that problem with queso. I really like this place, especially when I get tired of the same ol stuff from Chipotle and Freebirds. Expect that kind of vibe though in terms of the way you order your food. It was not a good lunch. I paid about $10.00 for a plate of enchiladas. It was so gross I couldn't eat it. I also got rice and beans. Also super gross. I got a side of tortillas and they were the only thing other than the tap water I could intake! People working there were nice and it was clean, but just not my flavors. I REALLY wanted to love this place. But was sadly disappointed. We've eaten at this chain in Utah and loved it. This place has a long way to go to meet those standards. I ordered the sweet pork burrito. As we were rushed through the line, the guy made me more of a rice burrito. There was hardly any meat on it at all. The rice was bland and undercooked. After I scraped what I could off, I was left with the amount of meat you would put on a small taco but on a giant, soggy burrito. The pork was alright, nothing great. The queso had good flavor but really runny. This place is similar to Cafe Rio if you've heard of it. I would say hold out and wait for Cafe Rio to make it's way to Texas! As I'm watching the making of the nachos I saw 2 ladles of sauce go over the chips before the 3rd ladle containing meat was added. Strike 1. After the nachos came out of the oven they asked what I wanted on them. My response "everything, I want them all the way". After I get to my table, settle, and start to eat, I immediately realized "wtf, where are the jalapenos?!" I know this is supposed to be some Baja, California, Southwest, something style food but come on, this is Texas. When I say "everything", "all the way", that INCLUDES jalapeños. They should be asking me if I want them left off, not me asking for them to be added. When my buddy got to the table I noticed a whole pile on his nachos. He said he had to specifically ask for them. Strike 2. As I'm getting to the bottom layer my earlier concern is coming true. I found very little meat, the flavor of which was lost in the other ingredients, and my chips were becoming soggy from the 2 ladles of sauce. Strike 3. I had a margarita that was simply, meh. Wasn't the worst I had but was a little too sour. For $2.50 I won't complain. I was tempted, before getting the nachos, to try the tacos. At $4.99 each, for the least expensive one, I was hesitant. Love this place. It's a welcome somewhat healthy change to the only other good Mexican restaurant near the Alliance town center. I've tried everything, but keep getting the fish and steak tacos. The mango salsa is great, but my fav is the honey habanero. Usually take some home to add to my eggs. I do find the raspberry chicken and the pork a little to sweet for my taste but my wife and coworkers love it. The place is loud, but I usually order take out, so no bother.
