We eat at costa often. At multiple locations. The one in American Fork is run really well and the line moves fast. This one at thanksgiving Point needs more work. And their drive through is so slow. This past week, on Wednesday night, I was in the drive through line for 20 mins before I ordered. And there were 3 cars in front of me. It was crazy. And this location was built into a mountainside so there's no way to get out of the drive through if it isn't moving. You get stuck. All told it took me 35 mins to get food. Through a drive through. I'm 36 and this was the longest I've been stuck in a drive through. Ever. And the guy taking the order spoke poor English and really struggled taking our order. I'm going to be avoiding this location. The food was fine. Not great. Not bad. read more

I live nearby and often get stuck in the strip mall food area just West of ADOBE. And while the quality of food is on par with any other Costa Vida, the reason I rate it at 2 instead of 3 or 4 is because the lines move a lot slower than other locations I've been to. I suppose this is because it's a newer location and their new employees are still gaining experience. read more

I come to this location because it has a drive through. I pretty much always order the same thing, nachos. Lately, they have gotten my order wrong every time. Once the nachos cost more than they usually do. When I asked why they said that was the price in the computer. The next time the price was back to normal. The next 2 times toppings were missing. Today I checked to make sure all toppings were included, and they were, but when i got home i noticed that instead of a regular size nacho I was made a small one (but given the large nacho cheese for a regular size one...). I called customer service and the best they could offer was to refund me the difference between what I ordered and what I got. That was all of $1. There was no consideration for the fact that I was still hungry, that the phone call cost me more in time than the refund they gave me, or that I would never order the overpriced small version. They offered to correct the order if I came back to the store. So...an extra half hour of there and back...also very much not worth the expended time and fuel. I am not impressed with this restaurant. Time to try curbside at Draper I guess, I think it's a bit closer anyway. Considering how easy it would be to just eat at Cafe Rio it blows my mind that they aren't a bit more interested in taking care of these things. read more

I love this costa vida. Staff is excellent. Food is fresh and on point. Portions are large. There's a drive thru that I'm in love with! Their kids meal is seriously the best value ever!!! I get them al of the time for myself and it's just the right amount of food for the right price. read more

The quality and service at Thanksgiving Point location is substandard for the chain. Drive-thru is awful. 3 x out of 5 the drive-thru will short the order. I've spoken to the manager a few times to report missing items and half filled guacamole cups. I've also walked back into the establishment to retrieve items missing from my order. I love this place. The staff is always friendly and kind. They also have lots of gluten free options which is a Celiac's dream come true.

All I can say is wow. I have never been so disappointed. I love costa vida and have for years, but have never been to this lehi location. I saw they had a drive through and it looked quick so thought i would try it! I ordered a kids chicken taco (wasn't super hungry but wanted something) asked what beans I said pinto and asked if i wanted pico and i said yes as well. I asked for the tortilla gluten free because i am celiac. asked for a Diet Coke for the drink. The worker tells me that my total is $21.11 which was super confusing but whatever. I pull up and ask and they tell me the correct amount and i pay for it and receive my order, was super fast and was very pleased at this point. Until i come to find out that my tortilla is not a corn tortilla it is flour which i can't have, it is a steak taco not chicken, and no pico. The drink was coke instead of Diet Coke and they didn't give me any utensils or a straw. Had to throw the entire thing away luckily it was just something small. super frustrating. Giving it 2 stars because they actually got the beans right lol. Don't waste your time! Like i said it was the first time i had tried this lehi location and will certainly be the last. read more

The food is decent or at least it would be if I ever received a correct order. My 17 and 19 year old kids love this place so we have gone here quite often. I'm a bit picky so I order my meals specific and out of 10 orders I have gotten it made right only once. That one time I was able to eat it without having to dig stuff out or off it was good. This was a great restaurant. The service was good . It was my first time there and I am visiting from California. I ordered something I really did not like and only ate half. When the employee came by to bus table she asked about it. She went and made me a complimentary entree salad which was awesome. I highly recommend this particular location and when I visit Utah again I'll be back. read more

I had the best experience here yesterday. I was walking through the line and when it came time to pay i was extremely impressed with how good costumer service was. We went to go sit down and the lobby looked nice and the lady wiping tables (she had red-purple hair I believe) she made sure we were happy and helped us with everything we needed. My little girl wouldn't stop talking about how she was her sister. I will definitely be coming back to thank her, and for the great experience she gave us. read more

Finally talked my coworkers into getting lunch from here rather than barbacoa in Highland. The mango chicken salad never disappoints! I order the salad with chicken and steak and both meats are done amazing! For a reliable salad when I am being a little more flexible on the diet I always choose Costa Vida with the mango dressing. read more

A review should be about food, service & the atmosphere, but my review is about cameras. (??) I am visiting from out of state so maybe this is common here in Utah; however, it's seriously creepy. There were cameras mounted on the counters pointing at the staff! When I got to the register, I asked about them as there was another pointing at the cashier. The cashier explained they use facial recognition software to see if the staff are smiling. Seriously? I was so shocked--but they continued by pointing overhead to the camera pointing AT ME to gauge my reaction. My reaction? Appalled. I will never patronize a place that treats employees like a science experiment. So creepy. read more

As a Texan currently displaced to Utah I was in dire need of some Mexican food, now if you want traditional Tex-Mex that is not what you will find here, but the food is great. I had the chicken tacos with rice and beans and even though it was not the Mexican food I was use to, it is really good and this location did a great job of preparing it just the way I wanted it. read more

I'm always craving Costa Vida's sweet pork salad and burritos. The lettuce and tomatoes are always so fresh, the ranch dressing is the yummiest, and the fact that they have a drive through is probably one of the best things to happen to me! I went inside today at 1:30pm to get a meal to go. There was only 1 other person in line. They were very prompt in helping me. The employee was very friendly and made my pork salad in less than 1 minute. I was in and out of Costa Vida in less than 3 or 4 minutes. The pork salad was delicious. I've never had a bad experience at this location. Highly recommended. Only downside is that finding parking can be difficult depending on the time of day. read more

I'm with the rest of the reviewers. The food here is good when they get it right, but they have messed up several if not all of my orders over the last couple of months. If you don't want to read my entire review, let me sum up: food is pretty good, service blows (hard). My biggest problem with the orders they messed up, was they were all takeout. So by the time you get home and realize they forgot the dressing for the salad again, you are just screwed. Then when you bring it up to them the next day, they treat you like a chump. I see the debate the other reviewers pose, which is better, Cafe Rio or Costa Vida... personal preference. I like both, depends on the day. But I will never go to the Lehi Costa Vida ever again. The thing that makes me the maddest is anytime I have let them know that they messed up again, I barely get an apology. So I'm upset, but then in contrast to my experiences at Costa Vida Lehi, I go to Kneeder's up by smiths in Lehi for some takeout last week, and they messed up my order. The difference was how they handled it. They were absolutely amazing. Not only did they apologize ten times, but they gave us some free pastries to make up for it. Then I remembered that I had a problem with them on a catering order for some clients a year or two ago and they went way above and beyond to make it right. They even drove a single order five miles to the clients office to make up for it, and included free pastries for the whole office! I felt like they cared. Probably because they did. At Costa Vida they look at me like I'm lying or something. I don't want free stuff, I want my freaking order to be right. If they get it wrong and they go above and beyond to take care of me, it changes my whole perspective because I feel like they want to make it right. But when they just blow me off, or give me the feeling that I'm making up a story, then I get irritated. Zupas has great customer service as well. Though I can't recall the last time they messed up my order. Cafe Rio has messed up catering orders before. Some stores have cared, others haven't. This is the non verbal vibe I get "were are to busy to care, and we will survive without your business." Zupas and Kneaders are every bit as busy, but I don't get that vibe at all from either of those franchises. My company caters a few thousand dollars a month for our clients with cafe rio, kneeders, zupas, and costa vida. After my last trip to Costa Vida in Lehi, I took them off the list. I may still utilize the one in PG by my office because they typically do a pretty good job. But I'm done with Lehi. PS, if you want details on what happened last time I was at CV Lehi, read on... the poor kids running the counter couldn't figure out how to use the points on my card to pay for my meal. I always have a nice balance racked up from all the catering. Well in the end, they managed to wipe it clean... all points gone! They realized this, but weren't sure how to fix it. They both fiddled, and then they looked at each other, then at the back room, then offered me free stuff. The kids seemed to scared to go get the manager to try to fix it. Maybe everyone there is too scared to fix mistakes cause the manager is...well, I shouldn't speculate. Anyway, they they kept offering me a free cookie and a drink. Hmmm, let me see. You took away a free meal or two, and want to replace it with a cookie and a drink. (plus, the cookies are the one thing that just are NOTgood at Costa Vida. Well, after refusing the cookie three times, and them looking at the back room with horror again, and then looking at me and offering me a cookie the forth time. I took the free cookie and left. The line was huge and everyone behind me was getting frustrated. Final result... Bravo Costa Vida Lehi, one less customer you have to worry about pleasing in the future.... read more

Food is almost never right, even if you're standing in the line ordering, they rarely listen. And employees have attitude

I normally LOVE, LOVE Costa Vida and we're loyal fans of the restaurant as a whole. This location is AWFUL! I'm specifically reviewing the drive thru. I was so excited about the drive thru and utilized it a lot initially. 4 out of 5 times my order was wrong at the drive thru. Who wants to return back after you're already home and unpacking the food from the bag? We've called and spoken to the manager a couple of times about their errors. I am allergic to gluten and dairy and told them no cheese repeatedly. I have had cheese almost every time. One time I thought the soup was cheese free and decided to stir it up a bit only to find stringy, melted cheese in the soup. I was far away from the restaurant and this time ate nothing as I watched everyone else eat. My husband's salads are always wrong--guac when he say none and pico when he says none. We've given them multiple chances to get it right and now won't be back. One time we grabbed food for a bunch of family members and it (sadly) because comical as we all pulled our food out and almost every single order was wrong in some way. You shouldn't have a drive thru if you can't get it right! I can't trust that they're making my food gluten free and I'll be really ill if there is cheese---and I've specific NO cheese repeatedly over and over just to have them get it wrong. It's close to us and I love the idea of a drive thru but instead we now drive to American Fork or Draper where they've never gotten it wrong. read more
