Absolutely horrible and inedible. We ordered through doordash and the entire order was incorrect. We ordered 2 burritos with beans and sauce on the side.They came covered in sauce and with no beans period. We requested guacamole on one to find it only to have a tsp on it. Incredibly rude customer service. I was rushed even though there was barely no one in the place due to the AC obviously not working on a 100+ day. The girl didn't know simple answers that I had about the menu and didn't bother to find them out. She had an attitude the whole time I was there. When I messed up my order due to them rushing me - she didn't care about customer satisfaction and didn't bother fixing it. Came in about 20 minutes before closing and immediately felt rushed by the workers demeanor. The person with me ordered their food and then I ordered the tacos plate and wasn't asked if I wanted anything on the tacos other than the meat and pico or lettuce. Well I actually wanted onions, queso, and extra meat but I felt uncomfortable asking because I felt like I was being rushed out. I had never been to costa Vida before was expecting to be asked what I wanted on my tacos and I didn't, so I went ahead and paid the money for tacos that included literally just chicken and pico. I also wanted corn tortillas but before even being asked she put flour tortillas in the container to make the tacos. I can't have flour tortillas and still felt uncomfortable asking for corn tortillas and felt uncomfortable asking for the sides that are provided for the menu items. The first time I went I was satisfied with my service and the food was great. I went in again today and the worker was soo rude and couldn't get my order right. I ordered a wet burrito with rice and beans on the side and the worker who was making my order tried to say that they don't do burritos like that and she kept speaking back and forth in Spanish with other coworkers. i've never had a bad meal here. Today I got the Friday chicken enchilada deal. The rice and beans were flavorful, the chicken was moist with great grilled/marinated flavor, and the roasted green chile sauce had the perfect sweet to savory. Salsa fresca is also very, very good. I used to love this place! Now it's under new ownership and the owner is soooo rude! Music is so loud here and we couldn't hear him and he yelled at my kid for not being loud enough when he was making an order. SHITTIEST SERVICE EVER. On 3/19 Placed an order online for a group lunch and didn't expect to be treated the way I was. Picked up the order and came back to the office. 3 of our burritos were missing so that was already a BAD start for a first time experience here. Had to return back to the store after already getting back to the office and was greeted by an associate. She then directed me to a tall skinny " manager" who I'm not even sure you can call a manager. Anyways, told him that we were missing some burritos and showed him the receipt. He refused to give us a shrimp burrito because it took too long to make when in fact he DIDNT but even put it in the bag to begin with. " nah I packed it up" but had no problem making 2 steak burritos ? I wouldn't drive back if it was in the bag ... chipotle wouldn't TREAT us like this. This place is pretty good! I stopped by for the first time, and we ordered some quesadillas. I ordered the sweet pork quesadilla, and it was really tasty. I didn't have any of the guacamole, but it looked like it would be great. Unfortunately, the A/C wasn't working when we were there. I asked the cashier how long the A/C hadn't been working, and he thought it has been broken for a few days... poor workers. It is probably not fun working with all the hot equipment when it's already over 100 degrees in the restaurant. It was cooler eating outside in the 108 degree weather, haha. Anyway - I hope the owner is doing something about it. If it were me as a business owner, I'd rather take the losses and shut down for the day and get the A/C working before having the employees suffer in the heat lol. The place is good though. In short: Be warned there is a very active cockroach infestation going on. I used to like coming here often. The food tastes great and the employees are friendly and courteous. However this restaurant is infested with cockroaches. On two separate occasions (I foolishly thought the first time was a fluke as the employee assured me it was) I saw cockroaches where the food was being prepared. The latter time there was one sitting on the counter right next to my food that was being made. When a customer has seen roaches right next to the food, on two separate occasions, I can only imagine how bad of an infestation they have. This is truly disgusting. read more

I love Costa Vida, however, this location has declined in quality over the last 6 months or so. The quality of the food has slowly gotten worse and worse and more often than not, half of the meal is not edible. We've had raw steak (if it's even ever available), guacamole and vegetables that were not fresh, and like in the attached picture, no actual lettuce in my salad but instead just the bad lettuce rinds. I've never had a bad experience at Costa Vida! Whenever i'm looking for a bit of a change from Chipotle, we hit Costa! I love their build your own salad. The prices are great for the portion size you get and the food is ALWAYS tasty! So glad we started going here, i wish they would build one in West Roseville though so I don't have to trek 20 minutes across town to get this. But I will say - it's worth the drive :) They have a great variety of meal options - all of it is build your own - they make fresh tortillas as you enter the line/order - i want to say they have like 5 or 6 meat options too - i think some are a bit of a premium price, but each type of meat we've tried has been absolutely phenomenal. I will also say their tomatillo ranch - i think that's what it is - AMAZING. I think i come back JUST for this ranch dressing, it's absolutely tasty, not too heavy and really addicting!!! read more

My fiancé and I ordered from here tonight off door dash and it's safe to say that I was very disappointed and unhappy. I ordered a grilled chicken cheese quesadilla with sour cream and all I got was a regular cheese quesadilla with no chicken and no sour cream and the tortilla was hard as a rock. I also ordered a cinnamon tortilla which was completely missing from the order along with the additional cinnamon tortilla that my fiancé ordered that she also did not get. Yum! We were up in the area for a tennis match and stopped by for a quick dinner. I had never been to a Costa Vida before, but my friend's daughter was familiar with them in Utah. First timer, not impressed. Three people on the line - counting the register - and it took almost 20 minutes from when I walked in the door with 5 people ahead of me. I had a veggie burrito with a flour tortilla, mix of black and pinto beans, grilled vegetables, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. The grilled vegetables were an onion/green bell pepper mix - heavy smoke flavor and MAYBE a tablespoon of guacamole which consisted of more cilantro then avocado. Having the tortillas cooked right there is nice but the burrito was rolled poorly and was so wet and sticky on the bottom it was impossible to pick up......so not worth $11.45 with a regular sized drink. I think I will be sticking to Chipotle for my burrito fix. read more

I've been to this location dozens of times over the years. The food is always good. The cooks and food prep folks do a really good job. The service and the mood of the staff is always a question going in. Some days pretty good and some days not good. I regret not showing more appreciation for some of the really good folks who have worked here in the past. There were a few really good ones. My number one issue with any restaurant is hand washing and if they touch multiple surfaces while making my food. Yesterday the gal working the register and handling money was also touching food. I think anyone handling transactions should not wear gloves. Then when they handle food they wash their hands and put gloves on. It's just not that hard. read more

5 stars simply for the mangos! I wasn't thinking that this spot would be any different than your typical La Salsa/Baja Fresh, but instead the quality of the ingredients was what stood out. A $7 burrito always seems a bit of a stretch, but here they seem to fill it to the brim with fresh chicken/shredded beef/pork and anything else you'd like. I had mango enchiladas that were wonderful and definitely worth the price. The inside was decorated with LCD TVs showcasing wakeboarding videos and the walls were adorned with surfboards. I definitely felt like I was enjoying some good baja cuisine in San Diego... but instead I was just in another little Roseville strip mall. Hadn't been here in about five years... showed up at 11:45 on a Tuesday- took me over 30 minutes from waiting in line to get my food and pay. The line was not out the door when I arrived, there were three people in front of the food ordering station, and three more in front of me.. Initially I wasn't sure why it was taking so long, but after I ordered I understood why. Ordered a "fajita quesadilla" with chicken... Girl made a tortilla, filled it.. another girl grabbed it off the grill and said "chicken quesadilla?" I said.. "fajita quesadilla with chicken?" and she just kind of stared at me. I responded with "I'll just take it" "Oh... is it supposed to be a fajita one?...." She walked over and ripped it apart and threw fajita veggies in it. Needless to say the whole thing was now cold and fell apart when I ate it and needed a fork. Not hard to make something verbatim on a menu folks..
