I'm so glad we renewed our membership! This location has everything we need from batteries to bananas. Almost every time I go, I like to get the tri tips that are pre marinated, the artichoke dip, and the coconut shrimp in the frozen section. You can't beat the value--especially on things that are easy to buy in bulk (laundry detergent, toilet paper, olive oil, etc) The employees are helpful and pleasant, and the place is always clean--even in super busy days. My tire light came on today, so I decided to stop by Costco. I arrived and was instructed by an employee to pull up in front of the tire station and someone would assist me. When I pulled up a tall bald man greeted me...he look filipino. I asked if they were closing and he just looked at me and said 'what do you need?' in a rude tone. I explained what I needed and he pointed to the tire station and said "it's over there you're blocking my space and a car is coming in." I was appalled. Usually I can get my tires checked and filled in less than 5 minutes, so I don't understand why I was treated like such an inconvenience. I ended up leaving after trying to figure it out on my own. won't be coming back. read more

Ordering ahead for pizza's? Don't call this place! Literally the most poorly organized facility. I can never get through to their direct line for the food court/pizza. I even called the administrative line, to give them the benefit of the doubt, hoping there was just an issue with the phone line and I was told "they only have one phone, once the store opens they are busy, hang on" she transferred me back to the line that of course was never answered. Each call rings for a little over 3 minutes and hangs up. This isn't just a one off scenario either. I have tried to call ahead for pizza orders in the past and have finally reached my limit of being "understanding" hoping these negative reviews will prompt such a large entity to get their act together and improve their system. read more

I went to Costco to get my yellow fever vaccine because I'm going to Kenya for my friend's 30th birthday. After receiving the vaccine, I passed out and had a seizure. The pharmacy was very attentive to my needs and called an ambulance and requested I go to the ER. I was concerned about the medical bills, but customer service called me the next day and said they would be willing to pay for my ambulance ride and ER visit! 10/10 service! read more

I bought a pizza that was not cut and had nowhere near the normal amount of cheese that's on a Costco pizza there's barely any cheese on the pizza (i'm a cheese kind of guy) Costco will give me another one the next time I go back. Thank you Costco, thank you, Tim I ordered the pizza and was told it would be done in 20 minutes When shopping came back 25 minutes later, got my pizza drove home opened the box and was gravely disappointed. This location has needlessly increased traffic by blocking off regular access to all the small businesses located right by it. There used to be easy access path to get there that Costco has now completely blocked off without any warning. When I asked the Costco employee how can I access those small businesses they yelled at me and said to figure it out. Extremely unprofessional and rude. This is the Costco closest to me so it's the one I go to most frequently. It's not the worst nor is it the best out of the Costcos I've been to. It's more of less just average. Pros: great location. Close to lots of areas in Sacramento, with proximity to midtown, Arden, Land Park, etc. Pretty close to the freeway, too. Also, prices are affordable in comparison to other grocery stores and the samples are always a plus. Lastly, staff always seems to be pretty friendly here! Cons: it's busy, which is to be expected at a Costco, but probably busier than other locations. Sometimes it's impossible to find parking in the first half of the parking lot, the gas station lines spill into the street, and the lines to buy food from the snack bar are just as long, if not longer, when you prepay vs when you pay there. The biggest gripe I had recently was that they never seem to have enough boxes for my order. Without boxes, they really need bags, otherwise unloading my car takes an unnecessary amount of time. Not the biggest deal, but something that can make a big difference to someone living in an apartment complex with limited parking or several stairs. read more

Well I recently came to this costco right before opening. Around the holidays all I can say is that it is like going to Disneyland where everyone lines up to run (like physically) in side. This location is closest to my house. There seems to be a variety of what they carry versus other locations of costcos around. Parking at this location can be a challenge, but I will say this location is clean and organized but I always get turned around because it is set up opposite of the one I used to go to. read more

This Costco is always so busy and parking is super limited! I always end up parking so far. This location might be the one everyone goes to because there's a line for everything. A line at the food court, gas line and when you pay! Every time I've come, the food court line to pay in cash is shorter than the line when you pay inside and that doesn't make much sense. The staff are friendly but it's just such a busy Costco even on the weekdays. I try to go at different times and still, super busy! This Costco is kind of far from us so I'm hoping the new one in Natomas will be less busy! read more

This updated review is for the Vision Center, and Pharmacy. Vision Center - Ok, we have been getting our glasses & contacts from Costco for a few years now. I just always find great glasses, and all the extras are included. I recently picked up two new glasses I specificallty got for driving in the day and at night, and the girl who helped me was not great. That was the first time in YEARS that the serviced lacked, so I am not going to mention her by name because everyone else is great. So, I had to go back 3 days later with both of my glasses and get them adjusted. Rod was fantastic! He took his time, fixed three of my glasses, added little nose bolsters for more comfort. My glasses fit great now! It is just a deal. I have astigmastism, and need special lenses. I got two pairs of glasses with all the works (polarized,e tc ) for $150ish. Next I went to the Pharmacy to pick up meds for my big dog. If you have a big dog, you know that heartworm and flea medication is off the wall expensive at the vet. I get all my pet meds here, the prces are so much better. Sorry I don't know the name of the young man, but he is always super friendly. The rest of Costco is ok. These two places just always save me money, I get great service, and I think they should have their own Yelp space. read more

seems like the whole staff here at this location needs an attitude adjustment. i have probably only had 1 nice interaction with an employee here. a lot of them are on some weird a** power trip and just straight up rude for no reason. if people are PAYING for memberships to just shop here, theres no reason to have a nasty attitude for literally no reason just for asking for help to find something for example. idk what is wrong with the workers here. the only ones who are nice are the people who highlight your receipt at the end of your shopping trip. ive only made two returns in my entire life, and the second i get to the counter the cashier gives me this dirty look and completely interrupts me mid sentence and says "membership card." okay?? just straight up rude for no reason bro. like relax. read more

This is the world's busiest Costco. If you go at a busy time it can be chaotic. It doesn't help that the people that go to this Costco seem to be rather unaware. I will drive to a farther location to avoid the chaos. read more

This location is almost always crowded, but somehow the self-checkout lines go very fast and the shelves always seem neatly stocked! They had a great supply of items for the holidays and there were some nice deals on children's items. There was a surplus of the Jumbo Squishmallows which was great and they had many varieties. I found the staff we interacted with to be extremely helpful and friendly! I will visit this Costco again in the future. read more

I have never had such a terrible experience at any Costco ever. I used my boss's business membership card to come in to see if they had flowers as I am a wedding designer. My boss is waiting in the car they gave me Flack that I could not use her card without her present I told them she was coming in after me just parking the car they didn't care. As she came in they proceeded to harass her about breaking a policy even though we both are card memberships I have the executive card membership. They then proceeded to get a supervisor to repeat the same thing to us and follow us around the store as we quickly grabbed our flowers and we were in a very big rush for these flowers went to a wedding. As we finally checked out in self checkout which there was a very nice girl there that helped us out. As we proceeded to exit the building that same supervisor tried to grab a manager and to have them stop us in our tracks to talk to us again about the policies as if we are retarded and did not know from the first 17 times that they talked to us already. This Costco suffers from many problems. You do need to drive through both a light rail stop and a small neighborhood full of dog walkers/joggers without a sidewalk to get to it if you aren't taking the 160. The parking lot layout is not intuitive and people are often fighting over spots as a result of the tight design. Due to the food court being located outside the store, I've witnessed two separate occasions where women trying to pick up pizzas for their family had their entire cart of paid groceries stolen. The gas station is also poorly laid out and the lines always stretch very far back into the street for no particular reason. You can expect to wait upward of 10-20 minutes for gas at this location. Once you do get to the pump, sometimes they don't work at all. The gas pump shuts off repeatedly and won't fill up your tank. We saw this issue persist across 8 years and 6 different cars, including a factory new vehicle. It is frustrating and they never fix it. The in store employees often have bad attitudes and seem to be power tripping over the most inane things. One time on a hot day a manager (a short, chubby, balding man) accused me of "trying to steal" because I went to the water bottle machine to purchase a water bottle for 25c. He didn't apologize when I told him that I'm buying a water bottle because it's hot and instead he insisted on "guarding" my cart. That makes no sense because they check your membership card plus receipt at the door and a real thief wouldn't stop to let some retail manager yell at them. Why place the water bottle machine next to the tire center if customers aren't allowed to use it when they're thirsty? I've also witnessed the door greeters being rude to people on multiple occasions. During other incidents, the sample workers made entire batches to give to fellow employees and had actual customers wait longer. But one of the most egregious acts was when a checkout employee had a "closed" lane and she only let customers of a specific race checkout with her (she was picking people out of the lines regardless of their placement). After that, we decided to drive to the Roseville Costco from then on, because their behavior at this location is just not worth the upset. Thankfully we have moved out of Sacramento and our new Costco is incredible by comparison. The expo parkway location should probably be re-staffed top-to-bottom or simply closed down. read more

Just came here for Friday lunch at 1pm. I didn't know that the eatery is outside, is so popular and I would be standing in line for several minutes. Once I made it to the cashier my meal was prepared pretty quickly. The taste was solid as expected. $1.50 for a hot dog and soda is an incredible bargain. LOCATION: Right next to big REI and that shopping center off Exposition DECOR: Typical warehouse style shopping PRICE: Bulk prices live here. GROCERY SELECTION: Pretty good selection of meats. Some of my faves are the 30g of protein turkey burgers, honey smoked salmon filets and the Tri-tip! Most loaves of bread come in double loaf bags and there are plenty of delicious pastries to choose from. They don't have a great selection of vegetables. I end up getting spinach here and maybe romaine lettuce mostly. They have a nice selection of gift cards that you can buy at discounted rates. STAFF: Always willing to assist when I've asked them questions about product locations. Super knowledgeable and friendly. EXPERIENCE: I like to shop at Costco first, getting bulk items where I need them. They don't carry everything, but what they do carry is pretty excellent and of a higher quality. The return policy is ridiculously lenient. Have not had a problem returning or replacing anything. Highly recommended and have easily saved my membership cost in shopping many times over. read more

This review is for the Costco tire shop. I've always had good luck shopping there. I've tried other tire shops and they just weren't as good. Costco's tire shop has competitive prices and good service. I can usually find a coupon in my monthly flyer for $150.00 off tires. The price includes tire rotation and flat repair. They are frequently busy but always manage to change my tires in a reasonable amount of time. So far, they haven't done anything shady like bait and switch, leave my hood partially open, or forget a couple lug nuts on my wheel. Yes, those things have happened at other tire shops whose names I won't mention. This is the best tire shop around in my opinion. read more

I originally purchased an Acer 32in monitor last week for $250.00. I took it home and used it for about a week before I realized there's a large stuck pixel that gave off a red color. I work in imaging so this was a BIG problem. Today I went in to buy a new one before I returned my original monitor. I was worried they would run out because it had gone on sale for $200.00. I bought a replacement, took it home and boom! Dead pixel. Took this new one back, explained my situation and how I was getting exhausted driving back and forth trying to find an Acer monitor that wasn't defective, and the returns agent was very kind and understanding. He even helped me credit the $50.00 difference back! He explained that if I talked to the sales people in that department then they might be able to assist me check the monitor before I drove it all the way home to test it. A customer service rep named Jeremy heard me out and offered to help me with testing the monitor before taking it home. He unboxed it and set it up on a demo so I could make absolutely sure that the monitor wasn't defective. At that time, another agent named Darrel saw me struggling to hold the monitor up while looking it over for defects and helped hold it for me so I could give it a thorough examination. They were patient, even though I must have looked like a lunatic carefully scanning every pixel on this giant monitor, and never made me feel rushed. They were even kind enough to repackage everything back the way it was for me to take home. I was told that if I buy a monitor or TV I should do it at Costco because of the no hassle refund/exchange policy. They were absolutely right! Not only was it quick and simple to process my refund, but every point of contact I made was genuinely concerned and wanted to help make sure I had a monitor that worked properly. Jeremy and Darrel gave me a peace of mind I have NEVER felt before shopping for high end electronics and made me feel a lot better than I did when I came in for a second exchange. I seriously can't sing their praises enough for going above and beyond with their customer service. Now I'm one of those people who is going to tell others to always buy monitors/TVs at Costco! 11/10 service! Great job, guys. read more

Sunday 1/16/2022. Food Court: I know how busy the Costco Food Court gets! Please give them extra employees to help prepare food. The line gets so long, they need extra cashiers. People get frustrated when they see the line and leave. Try to post additional signs where to stand for online orders, prepaid orders and etc. Face mask: I see people walking around without wearing a mask. I get worried and want to leave. I see signs posted stating you have to wear a mask. I know it's mandatory but I don't see anybody enforcing it? I know you have to follow CDC guidelines but I am disappointed nobody is enforcing it? So after my lackluster experience at Woodland costco, I thought it was only fair to give props to this costco when they treated me right! For those reading this review who haven't read my other woodland costco review (why would you!) they refused to accept a space heater for return because I didn't have the controller that came with it. I almost just threw it away, but thought why don't I try another costco -- and it worked! They took it with no questions at all and were super nice. It was almost $100 back in my pocket. I also decided to purchase some contact lenses right after at the optical department and they were super nice there as well. Saturday morning, 1130am a young pregnant walking with her 21months old daughter to Costco. She was an executive member. She happened to bring a wrong card ( her husbands card ) to Costco. She was stopped by a female Korean Costco worker at the entrance. It was 57 degrees F. The parking lot was wet. I understand that Costco has a policy to stop non-members from getting inside and causes issues. I respect Costco policy. But what happened Makes me feel very sad. What makes a company uses real person instead of AI it's because a real person have feeling and able take problem-solving skills into this kind of scenario. If she can just check on her other ID to verify the address, account and possible relationship photo evidence. This could end up much better.
