The burgers here are pretty normal. Not bad enough for me to not go again, but they also aren't the reason I would return. The milkshake I got was fine but the real reason to go is for the french fries and fry sauce which are good enough to deserve a return visit on their own. We aren't frequent fast food goers but if we have a craving for it we choose Cougar Country over a national chain. Our orders so far have always been the Super Deluxe Basket, Cheeseburger Deluxe, and an order of fried pickles. As the Super comes with fries it means we can share the fries and pickles. I'd probably get the kids size burger for myself the next time as the cheeseburger is quite large. Though the hubby doesn't complain about the amount. The fried pickle spears are very yummy. Not too greasy or heavily breaded. I've also ordered the child's size chocolate shake and found it to be quite tasty. Really good fry sauce and really good fries to go with it, which is nice because I grew up by like the only Arctic Circle in western Washington and REALLY MISSED fry sauce.. And now I do again, of course. But the point is that if you want to dip your very tasty fries in a highly tasty orange-white slurry of sauce, then this is the place to go. Always a great stop. Great food, good variety if you don't want a burger, a few vegetarian options. When they are really busy parking can get tough, drive through has block road traffic in past. We went there and we waited in line for 20 minutes for them to take our order only to to come to the window to them ignoring us and not taking our order...but they took the cars behind us orders. I love the food here! The fries are my favorite. They remind me of Zips. I usually get the chicken strips basket or the chicken sandwich. My husband really loves the super basket. I am not a fan of their drive thru. Everything about it is a nightmare. They should consider closing it or moving locations because it's a pain to use and a pain to drive on Grand and see all the drivers who think they fit. Never fails, consistent and is just what you expect it to be, nothing pretentious, completely predictable - a mom n pop burger joint. the burgers are good and greasy - expect heartburn - I love it. if it wasn't for the million calories per meal we'd go more often. I don't know if I've just been eating too healthfully lately but I went here and had a bacon cheeseburger, fried pickle spears, and a chocolate shake (the last two items were shared) and they were absolutely delicious. The food is classic dive in food. Huge, tasty, greasy and ready to give you a coronary at any moment. Its a local legend around Pullman Cougs and Townsfolk swear its the best burger joint ever, its not, but it is by far the best out of Pullman's terrible selection. Try it once for the experience. Really appreciate the fast service and the foods taste good. But a couple times after I ate there (I had Hoagie Dip), I had an upset stomach for the whole day. Not sure if I was just sick that day, but this happened. Beside, the girls who work there seem unprofessional- talking so loud when there was only 3 customers inside. Unfriendly staff that doesn't even give you what you asked for, dirty tables, food that tastes like plastic but priced like it's gourmet, no receipts for the customer so that you can try to figure out how it cost two people $30, crinkle fries that 100% came out of a frozen bag from a grocery store, and overall a dark and dingy atmosphere are just a few ways you can describe this drive in.
