I wanted to love this place as other yelpers did but honesty is the best policy. My fries were undercooked and cold, very disappointing. They didnt hve any buns for a burger. The inside of my fried halibut was undercooked and mushy. Customer service was great really friendly staff. Also prices are a bit higher now. Based kn the previous menu posted.

Classic fish and chips spot. The menu is simple with 3 kinds of fish offered, sides, burgers, sodas, milkshakes. It's a nice spot to stay and eat. The food came quickly. We had the halibut dinner. It was a big beautiful meaty piece of fish, the batter perfectly crisp and golden brown. The fresh cut fries were crisp and fluffy. The coleslaw was heavy on the mayo, but also crunchy and tangy. We also ordered the calamari which is battered popcorn-style and for $6.50, it cannot be beat. It's a rich and greasy meal, but oh so good.

Halibut and chips fresh from the deep fry!

This place has been a neighbourhood pillar for decades. Great food with a simple menu and charming decor. The staff are very nice and helpful people. Their batter on the halibut is big and crispy and cooked to perfection. Tartar is available at the table with no additional charge (packets). Fries are crispy double fried deliciousness with light salt. White and malt vinegar is available at the table. If you are in the area for lunch and haven't had fish n chip for ages than country fish n chips is the place to return, over and over again!

They had a Christmas pop up section and moved us there as well. Had some great options including Christmas cocktails. May not recommend it for takeout.

Was a beautiful summer day in COVID - and what better day to spend it than eating on a patio?? My…read morefriend from Toronto drove to Mississauga with her partner, and we settled on Pump House Grille. Honestly, the food was good but I had to take some marks off for the service. First, the kitchen staff was very evidently not wearing masks properly - over four had their masks pulled down over their chins and/or fully exposing their noses. Second, the service was painstakingly slow. It took them over half an hour to serve our dishes after we placed our orders. As for the food, I ordered the lobster avocado wrap but with the tiger sauce on the side as I was worried it'd be a touch too soggy. I think it was a good decision as the tomato and smashed avocado were sufficient to make the toasted wrap wet already. The lobster was decent - there was more meat than I expected, but some of the meat was quite soft (not al dente as fresh lobster often is). The bacon and toasted wrap helped add some texture mouthfeel, which I appreciated. For those wondering, the "tiger sauce" was a slightly spicy, sour mayo-based sauce. My friends ordered the Cuban panini and the sliders. Both found the food portions to be quite generous and were stuffed after the meal! Overall, it was a decent experience. The patio is a tad too close to the road so it can be a bit loud, and do be prepared for a wait if you plan on eating here.

Fresh off the plane at Pearson recently, my TO friends brought me to the parks near here for a…read morestroll, then here for lunch. Right away, I was impressed that this restaurant has both an outdoor patio in the front along the street AND another, larger patio in the back. NICE! The hostess and our server were very friendly, too, and they checked in on us a few times to see how we were doing, and if we needed anything. Nice! My friends had thier small dog with them (leashed), and dogs are welcome here on the patios. They even have doggie water bowls about. Super nice! The menu of food offerings is large and varied, and there's a big range in prices, too. I'm sure most everyone could find something they like on this menu. Super nice! We ordered various appetizers for the table (I remember the edamame but forget the others), and I ordered the chicken fajitas (which were a bit spicy but delicious. And wow, the portions were HUGE. I brought most of it back to my friend's house, where I was staying). So, with all these nice features, why am I giving this restaurant only three stars? Here's why: my two TO friends I dined with are very generous to me, and they always have been. (I've been close friends with one for 43 years!). They insist on getting me at the airport and dropping me off there, too. They house me in their home. They take me sightseeing and get my tickets for any shows we see. They never let me pay for anything, despite my being thier houseguest. This irks me to no end!!!! So prior to this trip, I told them they HAD to be gracious and let me pick up the tabs for meals out. And they reluctantly agreed. Thank goodness! So when we came to this restaurant, I told the hostess and our server (twice) and a woman who came to our table to see how we were doing (the manager or owner?), that I wanted to pay for the table's appetizers and we all need separate checks. (My friends earlier said they'd "let me" pay for the appetizers but not their lunch, but I could pick up dinner. They are SO problematic!). Anyhow, I told every employee at this restaurant within earshot about this arrangement, and they all told me "NO PROBLEM". And what happened? They put our whole order on ONE bill and presented the bill to my friend, who wouldn't relinquish it. WTH. WTH!! I was really REALLY unhappy with this restaurant for not following through with the bill arrangement they had agreed upon. They apologized, but wow, it was too late to change anything. I was not happy.

When you walk in, there's a few seats at the bar often accompanied by regulars along with a few smaller tables just enough for about a dozen people. Only a fool would walk away with the impression that it's just a local dive bar. You would be so incredibly wrong. Every single item we've tried was made from scratch, customizable, and absolutely lick-your-plate delicious. Some of the highlights were mussels with your choice of sauce (we've tried curry and garlic white wine on separate occasions), wings, ribs, lamb curry, stuffed filet of sole, their seasonal seasonal specials like Ontario pickerel. The one "must have" dish is our family favourite: Gorgonzola penne. Rich, creamy, garlicky, and consistent every time. We order this on repeat. Prices are a bit higher than what you would expect at a local tap and grill but the food speaks for itself. You can tell that the chef owners truly care and always do a table side check after each meal to ensure you're happy. A true, can't miss gem in LP.

The young man serving us, Rohit, said prices are high because they get premium ingredients. We like supporting local especially since covid has hit restaurants so hard so we accepted the pricing.
