Ok first, the best customer service in Lodi. Their burgers are now my favorite as well. The music…read moreis always perfect and I love the old diner feel. Love this place and come at least once a month with the kids.

I have been coming here for years and I have always enjoyed the food and service. It's expensive to…read moreeat here but it used to be worth the premium. I ordered a burger and I was given someone else's burger. I had a few fries before I realized, I opened the burger to find it wasn't the BBQ burger I ordered. Richard, our waiter, proceeded to tell me that i didn't order it. Then he tells me it's someone else's order. Which is it? He proceeds to take the burger my fingers were all over and re-serves it to another patron. (So it was someone else's order). He rushes my corrected order back to my table. The burger was dry and burnt. Was this retaliation? At this point I didn't care. I just ate. My wife reported her go-to beef dip sandwich was not the same quality we have been used to. He didn't get my wife the Pepsi she orders but charged us for it. When I point it out (in the most polite and respectful manner) he snatched the receipt out of my hand. The restaurant is starting to look run down too. It's a shame management is letting a place like this go down the tubs. I have heard Richard apologize to just about every patron in the restaurant at some point and the word tracks he uses to confirm orders or to ask if someone wants anything else is patronizing and confusing. Richard should not be customer facing or doing any tasks that require reading, writing, listening or interacting with customers. The soda syrup/carbonation ratios are really bad. Hoping for a course correction because cutting corners is a death sentence for any premium burger joint. When you take away the premium all you have is an over priced burger that makes me wish I went to Burger King instead. At least I can expect poor service and poor quality food without paining $40

Wow. SQZ Burger has been open for nearly three years in Lodi and I never noticed it. I know I've…read moredriven past it many times, but I guess their signage is too modest compared to the huge "IDOL BEER WORKS" on the other end of the building. I figured it was just another iteration of the original (now long gone) Squeeze Inn in Sacramento, and I was right. I don't think the various locations are franchises, but are more likely independently owned, and the quality varies from location to location. The one that used to be in West Sac, for instance, was terrible, which might explain why it's been gone for years. And the mid-town was also a resounding MEH, and also gone. There's nothing at any version of Squeeze Inn/Burger that I want more than just a basic Squeeze (or in this case, SQZ) with Cheese, though. I don't want a taco, nor a BLT, and especially not chicken strips. I want that which made the brand famous. A cheeseburger with all the traditional toppings and a cheese skirt just dripping cheese grease off it. SQZ Burger delivers the goods. The cheese skirt was just the right size, not too big, not too small. At one point in my life I would have said that there's no such thing as a cheese skirt that's too big, but a couple of years ago I had a cheese skirt that was so big that I felt sick afterward from all the cheese grease! In addition to the just right amount of cheese, the burger had lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, and a healthy schmear of mayo and mustard. Damn near a perfect burger. The owner was running the register on my visit, and when she brought my food out, she asked if I wanted a side of ranch. I'm the kind of guy who would drink ranch dressing if I could, so of course I accepted. I didn't even ask - It was nice of her to offer! There's a throughline from the original Squeeze Inn on Power Inn Road to SQZ Burger, too. The father of the husband half of the H/W ownership team owned the original location. Brandon and Katie ran the Galt location for several years, and have now brought the goodness to a Lodi brick and mortar spot. I'll definitely be back.

Our Corvette club made a little drive from Sacramento to Lodi to visit IDOL Beer Works. I'm not…read moremuch of a beer drinker, but thankfully SQZ Burger basically shares a building with IDOL and we all placed an order at SQZ. My wife had the burger with cheese skirt and fries. I had the western bacon cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry shake. These burger was full of flavor and BIG! Not sure exactly how they make their fries, but they're amazing. And my strawberry shake was good also. We had about 45 people all land at the same time, and SQZ was able to quickly get us all served in short order. I do love the vibe of both SQZ & IDOL. It was a nice little drive both ways with an epic food stop in between.

I ordered a #3 combo and a side of ranch for $17.50 before tip and tax. It came with a large slider, another chicken breast on toast, a large serving of crinckle cut fries, and a drink. It was a lot of food and I had leftovers, so I was happy with the size of the portions. The slider had a big, thick, piece of fried chicken breast on it. It was a little spicey, topped with pickles, sauce, cole slaw and served on a nice brioche bun. It was one of the better chicken sandwiches I've had in a while and very satisfying. The chicken breast on toast, was silimar and just as satisfying. The fries were hot, chispy, and lightly seasoned. I enjoyed every one as I dunked them in sauce and munched them down. The staff was nice, and prepared my food quickly. The dining room was basic, but functional, and the drinks were self-serve. I'm happy to give them 5 stars. The food was really good.

We did not get a picture as the food smelt amazing and everyone tucked in as soon as we got it on our table. also, we got Gulab jumun which was the amazing taste ever nice and warm. Overall, I say if you're in the mood for some middle eastern grub, then this is the place for you

Bad: Their "Kobe" burger was $29 or so and was a good portion size. The problem? Lacking any kind of flavor or seasoning. The beef was flavorless. The stroganoff was a good portion size but again it was severely lacking in the seasoning department. Good: Those who ordered the corn soup and the porcini mushroom ravioli enjoyed them. They especially enjoyed the sauce from the ravioli. The desserts overall were enjoyed by the table. The sticky toffee pudding, while not as rich as we are used to, was still relatively good; soft and moist enough. The dark chocolate oblong with mango passion fruit was enjoyed by everyone too. The interior remains unchanged; like a classy London gastropub. Service: communication is key. Where they dropped the ball was that we mentioned on the reservation that we were there for Father's Day and prime rib, which they do on Sundays. As you walk in you even see the sign for the prime rib special. We sat down and the server mentioned that there was no prime rib this weekend. I had even chatted with them on the reservation app and they made no mention of this. We could have gone somewhere else had we known in advanced. Our server was relatively nice too.

Now was a good as time as any! As we entered, there was a sign to meet at the bar for seating. The waitress/server came out after a bit of a wait and according to my friend, it's usually a longer wait time around lunch for someone to come out and seat you. I was recommended to try the pork schnitzel by my friend and it did not disappoint. I got my sandwich with a side salad. We also ordered the deviled eggs to share. My friend has never had the deviled eggs before and pleasantly surprised and delighted that the eggs were absolutely delicious. They're very smooth, eggs were cooked perfectly and the touch of bacon was just right. It does come with a small helping of mixed greens topped with pickled onions. The pork schnitzel was crispy & crunchy due to the breaded pork loin, came with pickled onions, slaw and the chipotle aioli sauce. The sauce does have a bit of a kick to it but it wasn't too spicy, well, at least for me. My salad was very good too. It was colorful and had an interestingly tangy dressing on it. It paired well with the sandwich. One was spicy and the salad was tangy but refreshing. My friend also ordered the pork schnitzel with beef tallow fries. I tried some of her fries and they were thin but still crispy. Overall the food at West Oak Nosh was so good and delicious! Service was good, prompt and our server was attentive despite being by herself. I think this place is great for the summer to have a drink and eat. Will have to come back for the drinks!
