This is in a convenient location if you're driving, but the food was overpriced. My friend and I ate dinner here on our way back to NYC from a photoshoot. We got seated quickly, but service was slow after that and the food was mediocre. When I ordered tea, I was surprised they only gave me a tea bag due to the price. Also I had to ask for hot water. There was no buffet, probably due to COVID-19. So for $20+ per person for a meal, I was expecting either more food or better food. The fried chicken was not crispy at all, which was the biggest disappointment for me. The mac and cheese was also really salty and not cheesy (it was worse than Kraft mac and cheese...). Bit pricey, but isn't everything these days? Not Nobu in Miami or French Laundry in Cali, but it is very good for the value of your buck. Get off the freeway, make your way on down to Country Pride, get the salmon, you won't regret it. 10/10 Service was great, atmosphere clean. Located in a Truck Stop within the Travel Centers of American building, Country Pride Restaurant is a decent place with diner food and even a small buffet menu. When I had buffet option, which was priced around $8-$10 for lunch, it had a good variety of food. A decent selection of salad, soups, chicken, ham, roast beef, and pasta such as baked ziti and other random dishes were available. Apparently some of the dishes change daily. The food itself was nothing too special but it was good enough. I also tried the chicken fried steak here from their regular menu, which was nothing too special, it is hard to explain, but there was something missing in the taste, as I have had better. Service was a little slow both times I was there, the buffet I can understand since you do not need much server help, but the 2nd time when I was eating from the regular menu the waitress was not really going around much. The good thing about this place is that it is open 24 hours and is convenient for people to stop and eat while they pass by during long road trips. Since it is within a complex, there is a general store, gas station, and even Burger King as another food option in the building. read more

I didn't know what to expect. Some of the reviews were not good or just millennials whining they cannot get there preferred food everywhere. The resultant was clean, tables were clean and the benches were in good shape. tables were set and the silverware clean. In fact all the condiments you would expect were on the tables and filled up. Menus were clean and had calories listed for all items even the buffet had calories listed. The food was good and the prices very reasonable. We had the buffet and ordered off the menus. The salad bar was well stocked with the usual items, plus pasta, macaroni and pasta salad plus a few desserts like rice pudding. The hot bar was good, with a nice selection of turkey, chicken, ribs and roast beef, plus mashed potatoes, yams and stuffing and beef and turkey gravy. Roasted and steamed vegetables and a few casseroles to round it out. There was also a desert bar with a cake. The service was excellent, very attentive and pleasant. Country style all you can eat dinner buffet by a gas station for $12.99. They have Fried chicken, roast beef, ribs, sides, salads, soups, and oreos for dessert. I think it was a good price for what they offer. The fried chicken was amazing, the full salad bar was fresh with a lot of options. Service was good. Stopped in to fill up and use the ladies room after driving 200 miles. Everyone was very friendly, although is some how felt in was in the twi-light zone. There was a truckers lounge with flat screen televisions which drew a big crowd. I decided to get so e coffee I sat down in the country pride restaurant- seems they get quite a crowd of regulars. As everyone addressed each other by first name. Coffee served in a bottomless carafe was tasteless. I meander through the menu , and it was fried food central. I had a soup which was decent, and opted not to dine there as the choices were not even remotely healthy. The majority of the truckers dined on the buffet which consisted of fried chicken, potatoes,rices, starch central. A lot of banter and laughs for the fellows. Very clean and the staff was very friendly. I liked the entertainment value. read more

Its a truck stop and the truckers are great. The staff is very friendly as well. I like the dinner buffet, but the breakfast leaves something to be desired. On Sundays and Thursdays they have turkey on the bar. They cook it frozen and the juices remain in the bird. it is very good. On Wed. it is steak night and while thin, they are good. They usually have four meats 6 or 7 veggies, a nice salad bar, soup, fruit, pudding and cake. You can wear casual clothes, fill up on gas and enjoy a casual yet good meal. It costs around 12.50. Waited 20 minutes for a damn omelette with no sides. This is ridiculous, the second the time came to close the staff just rushed towards the doors to close em to make sure no one else came in. I just wished they rushed my order like that. Absolutely horrible, unprofessional and deserves a 0 stars. Retrain these people. read more

So I decided to have dinner at this bloomsbury location! I walked in at 5 pm sharp I didnt even get noticed until after 5:30 pm the servers just walked right past me like I was invisible. People that came in after me was served before me ! Then finally the server came over to me when I was ready to walk out. She apologized but the service was horrible and ill never ever ever eat at one of these places again read more

My family which consists of my wife 3 young girls and myself went here for the breakfast buffet. the waitress which I will tell later is not a trustworthy person. She made us pay for the food before we even got it. My wife got her first coffee and that was it, the waitress never came back to refill it. My daughter spilled her orange juice after 1 sip and the waitress didn't even offer to get another like most if not all restraunts would do. The food was pretty good and we did all have 2nds. On Mothers Day it was all of my wifes family (parents, brothers, aunts and uncles) and my sister and parents and this waitress was going around after we ate and and said to my dad my wifes dad and 2 of her uncle and said she never got a tip. This waitress wound up with almost $150 but then my dad brought up leaving a tip and then everyone else said they did also, so we figured out she got $$ from many of us. We all confronted her and she said that everybody willingly gave her separate tips and everybody said it was because she said she did not get anything, anyway she did wind up giving back over $100. Over the past four or five years this location, with it's primarily clientele of long haul truckers has declined while prices have risen far more than the quality warrants. Menu food is mediocre and the buffet quite limited and rarely changes. As part of a group of retired men who meet monthly, we recently chose this place for a meeting and posted it in the community activities section of a local weekly publication. Rather than being pleased at the additional local business, I was soundly chastised by two waitresses for not clearing the event in advance with the manager. In addition, I was told my a friend from the area that the place has become a source of ongoing community problems with truckers walking off the property and committing crimes including burglary and beating residents. Apparently local officials have considered fencing in the facility and preventing truckers from walking off the site. NOT a place I would recommend, nor frequent, in the future. read more
