purchased my EV6 from them but never used their service dept do to poor service . since it was 1 1/2 yrs ago I thought I would try them again . so I did and it was ok not great but ok . long story short I paid for services that might have been covered by my extended warranty that I would purchased thru them . service provider told me that it was not on their system ???? so I called sales who told me to call finance who has yet to return my calls . this is the same dept that told me when I traded my vehicle which had credit coming on my tag since it was recently renewed that they would handle . guess what after a few months waiting for my credit never received went back and spoke to finance manager i was told I need to call the MvD and get my credit which I did and finally got it . We started searching for a new Kia a few months ago. We found Courtesy Kia via a FB add. When we arrived we weee met by MacKenzie. She was friendly, and welcoming. We told her what we were looking or, the price range etc. Due to the lack of inventory the car we were looking for was unavailable to test drive/ purchase that day. MacKenzie showed us a car like we were thinking I'd purchasing. We LOVED it. After a little investigation, she let us know they would be getting a shipment within a week. We found Kia Customer Service Terrible! Cash purchased the car on 5/27/2024, unfortunately on 6/14/24 the car was totaled. We need the title to our vehicle to receive insurance payment. We have contacted Courtesy several times in person and made several phone calls requesting assistance with getting the title. We have also contacted MVD of Arizona multiple times and they have not received the documents from Courtesy Kia. Returned to their dealership on 7/5/24 again looking for help. Escorted to a room and Tony? was going to explain things to us. He had "researched" our issue before we were seated and started to "explain". I interjected what I felt we needed, and he sarcastically stated I interrupted him, and he was going to tell me.... I sarcastically said, "go ahead, you have the floor", Tony? stated it was his office and he lectured us that he would not be spoken to sarcastically. I am not sure of my response and admit I was frustrated, but he again felt it was sarcastic and ordered me to leave the dealership and that he would not assist us, nor would he allow anyone else to help. Absolute fucking garbage of a service department. I brought in my Kia Optima Hybrid over 3 weeks ago and told them that the problem was likely a high capacity fuse or one of the clips to a power cord to the starter. They charged me $500 for diagnostics and said the problem was a $1000+ relay that they needed to order and replace. Once they replaced it the test drive showed that it wasn't fixed but they DIDN'T TELL ME ABOUT IT UNTIL I CALLED IN ASKING WHAT WAS TAKING SO LONG. So on that call they said that the problem was really the fuse THAT I TOLD THEM ABOUT IN THE BEGINNING. And when I showed up today to pick my car up service was closed and the front desk had no way to take my money or get to the other side of their own store. Absolute bullshit and I will avoid ever buying another Kia because of how utterly incompetent their service department and customer service are! read more

My husband and I had a horrible experience at Courtesy Kia. We had put a deposit on a Kia Sorento (black hybrid) that was supposed to be delivered this week. We called the salesman and asked him to change our deposit to a different Sorento(red XE) which would be delivered at the same time. He contacted us and let us know that our deposit was applied to the new (red xe) sorento car. We received word from the salesman that our car was delivered today and we should come by to purchase it. We arrived at Courtesy Kia the today (same day) to find out that the car that we had put a deposit on had already been traded to another dealer the day before. Neither that car nor the first car we had our original deposit on were available. We were deeply disappointed and want to warn others about our experience. read more

What do you do when they don't counter on the negotiation? This was one of the strangest experiences trying to buy a vehicle I have ever experienced. The sales rep completely folded and didn't even try to negotiate the sale of the vehicle after my very first counter offer. He literally declined my offer (after asking what my "out the door" price was) and said they would not be able to meet my offer. Without conversation, how can one expect to negotiate the sale of a vehicle when sales reps aren't prepared to talk. Completely disappointing in that Horne Kia was my go to for over 10 years until they treated me like the customer and their loyalty didn't matter. Now Courtesy Kia shows those same colors. Unfortunate that to be "Kia" means no desire to retain customers, treat them professionally or care about the long term reputation they are building. Yeah you're Kia and may be a desired vehicle, but let's be honest...there are plenty other options out there. read more

Went in there knowing exactly what I wanted and knew there were none on the lot. So I went in there knowing that I wanted to order a vehicle and knew exactly how I wanted to order it. So my wife and I walked onto the lot so we could see model that I would be ordering and to view any colors that might shift off what I was thinking. I was shocked that not 1 sales person came to greet us. After about 10ish minutes, we walked inside and asked for a sales rep and met Jorge. Told him what I was looking to do we sat down and printed exactly what I wanted. It was at this point he advised that due to vehicle shortages they were adding a market adjustment, I kindly told him that since I am ordering a vehicle that I would not be paying a market adjustment due to it being an ordered vehicle. Meaning it wont sit on the lot and they will be able to retain all the holdback money as well as making money on the financing. So there would still be plenty of skin in the game for the dealer to make money without having to work a crazy deal and force its consumer to pay additional markup that is just pure profit for the dealer. Jorge said that he understands and would ask the sales manager what they could do. He comes back a few minutes later and says all cars have this and I said cool, we'll find a dealership who is willing to work with us on ordering a car and not pay the fee. The manager then comes over and tries to explain that this is a decision made by the owners and not him. Again I say that's fine, if your ownership does not want to sell a car than we will find someone who does. He then goes on to try and explain that "well when you sell us your car we are buying it at an inflated price and if you were to turn around and sell the car you ordered you can sell it for more too." Again I said, "that's great, I am not trading in a vehicle and I drive 35 miles a day to work, the last thing I am going to do is to flip it, to make a few bucks. You're just padding your profits and if that's how you want to operate that's fine, you just wont be getting any business from me." I also told the manager that I used to work in the car business, what I didn't tell him is I worked not only the back end, but also the front end. I know how the business works. But to be told again and again that its a rare car, well that's weird because if its so rare, why are there 11 currently in transit to 3 dealers in the valley? Rare huh? So while I want to be sure I include everything, the manager advised they don't even have the allocation to order the type of vehicle I am looking at. Ok cool those come up every so often and as I told Jorge and the manager, I am ok with waiting till you receive an allocation and we can order what I am looking for. Then we circled back to the market adjustment. Really I don't care how long I have to wait, I know what I want. He also then tried saying that, you cant go anywhere and order a vehicle. Really? VW, BMW, Ford, Chrysler, ect you can order a vehicle from them, some they can only special order when they receive an allocation and some can order as customers are available, and some are a combo of both depending on the model and trim. When you treat people like they are stupid, you piss them off. If I was the sales manager, I would have taken my info and the moment an allocation was available, called me to say hey we can order one, lets make a deal. But nope that isnt what happened all because you have a sales manager and ownership group that is more focused on the money than the customer. This really shocked me for such a new franchise, my experience yesterday is exactly the reason why people despise buying cars. So kudos for that. read more

My husband and I were just in to see a car that I had found online and although we didn't end up purchasing the car (it was a honda odyssey and another couple bought it before we could) I wanted to review the service and the great salesman that we worked with. Marian (or Michael) was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely personable, understanding, and kind. He listened to our needs and wants and was extremely knowledgeable and informative. After we left he reached out to us to send us similar cars in case we might be interested. I've already told my sister in law about them and plan to tell anyone else that is in the market to buy a car. This was my first time in a dealership and it was nothing like I expected. Looked into getting a telluride, spoke with sales staff regarding test drive. Met last week, absolutely no follow up from sales. I followed up with the internet sales and let them know we would like the window sticker and walkthrough of the vehicle. Came in again, met with a salesman...a 36k car marked up to almost 60k. No Presidents' Day deals or sales. Ended up leaving after sales/ finance lack of negotiation. Definitely going to remember the lack of courtesy at Courtesy Kia. The sales manager Mike who was also a veteran made sure to mention being a vet, but did absolutely no service whatsoever on any deal. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Definitely not worth the added 6900 markup for a Kia. read more

I just came in to look at buying a new car for myself. I am a 21 year old girl, so I'm always self aware in places like this of being scammed or taken advantage of. I never expected to actually experience it, but today I did at this dealership. Louis, the dealer who worked with me, talked to me like I knew nothing and showed me blatant disrespect when I established my knowledge to him. He came back to me with a 30% sticker price increase claiming a bunch of random nonsense "fees." After I called him out on it, he goes on to define the word inflation as if I don't know what that is and talked to me as if I was a 5 year old. After telling him I couldn't pay the price he asked, he asked what I would pay and proceeded to literally laugh in my face when I gave him a very reasonable offer. I shoved the paper back to him and left. This place will never have my business again and I hope anyone considering coming here asked for another dealer or is prepared to have to prove their intelligence because apparently they assume I'm some kind of idiot who will just swipe a card for whatever amount they want. read more

I did an online inquiry and a rep, Andy, got ahold of me soon after. Andy sent me a personalized video of the car I was interested in and even a couple more of the same model which was extremely helpful and more out of the way than any other dealership did. When I came in, Andy already had the car and similar models ready for me to look at and test drive. I wasn't able to purchase the car until I went home for a few hours. When I came back, Andy had to go home, but his brother Jorge was just as helpful and let me re-test drive the car. Both were very knowledgeable of cars, their work, and very very personable and polite. My car buying experience here was great and Andy and Jorge both continued to reach out to make sure I was loving the car. Great service here! read more

Not so good service. Wasted time going there for a car which had already been sold (called ahead and was told it was still available). The cars have many add-on dealer fees. Never pay them, just the online price + plates, title, registration and doc fee (usually $499). The rest is profit which can be removed if you have this knowledge. Math doesn't lie, but the salesmen do. read more

My experience with Courtesy Kia was what I consider unethical. First, if you decide you want to work with them, find the car online so you receive the Internet price. The car my husband and I looked at they marked up $5,000 on the lot sticker price. We were told by the salesman that the sticker price is what they charge if the buyer doesn't know about the online price. Then they talk about "add-on" features, which they also call "options" on their website. Add-ons are normally optional but in their case they would not remove the costs so this is really what I call dealer standard. They did not consider them optional. These items were a similar to Lo-Jack, full tint replacement if damaged (kind of like insurance), lifetime special gas they insert in to the tires, and a few others. They low-balled our trade in by $3,500 dollars less than what their own app gave on their website. And when I walked out and the salesman came to our car and finally offered the correct trade-in price, they came back with a monthly rate that still included all of the "options" that totaled $2,000 more added to the cost of the car. So think twice before you choose to do business with this dealership and get overcharged thousands of dollars. We could have bought two cars for what they were attempting to charge us. read more

Wife and I were shopping for a new Sorento hybrid. Original price was for MSRP. once they got us there they disclosed that there were over $2,400 of dealer added 'options' that are 'must buys' at their dealership. Next the sales manager Michael explained the 2016 Kia's with less than 20,000 miles are 'very common in the valley' justifying a lower than KBB value for our trade in. Lastly, we were presented with their own financing at 4.5% (not the KIA backed 1.9% financing). When they made it claimed that this was dealer ownerships policy NOT something they could change we left. No matter how 'courteous' they are I would avoid them if you want a fair deal on a new car. BTW - they claim that a $495 doc fee is standard a 'required' by state of Arizona. When I checked with State of Arizona while there are fees that are determined by the state, the fees charged by the dealership are determined by the dealership. read more

They have me test drive and after when I sit down to run numbers they apologize for showing me a different year and more expensive car. They did a good job working with me on pricing, we're kind and helpful, answered all my questions, and were quick to get me in and out the multiple times I needed to come in to finish up paperwork. James (in financing) was also super helpful and patient and even took the time to cancel some of the insurance I didn't feel good about the next day, after I already signed. Then the battery in my new car died the day after I took it home, and Bear (on his day off) called their guy over here at Courtesy Kia and got me right in to have it switched out free of charge. I was very happy with their service and would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone shopping around! read more

The General Manager Bryan L and my Sales contact Hunter C, and Finance Manager James...Yes, the Finance guy!. From my initial contact through the sales PURCHASE process (total of less than 24 hours once I made contact) they were all there to answer my questions, concerns, and to make sure I walked away 1) with a car, and 2) Happy to do so!. The key factor is that they listened, cared, and if they truly were not able to handle any of my requests, they handled with grace. Just an FYI to any car buyers, this is my first Kia experience, and my first direct purchase with Courtesy. And certainly not my last. I am a Kia convert as they have a great product. The car buying experience was good with them. My issue is with the after care part. They charged me $499 for window tint which is literally only the two front windows because the back is "factory tinted". The original tint was messed up from the beginning, no big deal they said they would take care of it. With my work schedule I could only do it on the weekends. I was told they didn't do it in the weeks so it took a few weeks to schedule and they ended up giving me a loaner car which was great. Picked my vehicle up, first thing I noticed was they left the inside of my car destroyed. All the sticky residue from the tint removal was all over the doors along with the liquid. The tint was still messed up, bubbles everywhere and not even pushed to the window all the way in some spots. I contacted them again and let them know. This time they question me what was wrong with it because and this a direct quote "I didn't see anything wrong the first time we did it so we need proof". I sent them photos and they agreed to reschedule it. This time all of a sudden they do tint on the weekends and had it scheduled. Unfortunately my wife and I got covid and had to push out our appointment to 11/13/2021. I get informed today that I needed a negative covid test before they could service my vehicle. Would have been nice to know less than 24 hours before my appointment so I could actually get a test but they were kind enough to NOT inform me in a good amount of time. ***Update I had my tint redone and it was terrible again and had some nasty tool marks in it. They also scratched the outside of my car. I talked to a manager and they were gonna take it back in and have the tint redone and take care of the scratch on the hood. I get a call saying that "the tint is never going to be perfect. I went and looked at a few cars in the lot and they all have imperfections. We will refund your money for the tint. We will have a check for you." They had the hood touched up ( this was done perfectly as far as I can tell). I go to pick up my vehicle and was expecting a check as well. They hadn't even processed for the refund yet and it was a holiday weekend. I follow up today to see the status of it. They aren't sure when it's going to be ready because the holidays and month end is a rough time for the car business. read more
