I had an iced Americano and the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich had egg, cheese, and turkey sausage on a biscuit. The biscuit was a nice touch since I haven't seen that offered at any of the other coffeeshops I have visited in Bakersfield. Not only did I enjoy my order, but it's also very reasonably priced. The sandwich wasn't huge, but I actually appreciate the option to get a lighter breakfast at a lower price. I get tired of paying too much money for more food than I even want. So cute and quaint to have her all set up with our takeout breakfast!! The latte I had was delicious and hit the spot perfectly! Espresso wasn't burnt and tasting since I'm very picky, and she really enjoyed her cup of coffee as well. The barista also told us that she could keep the cup and get free refills all day! We ordered the Filthy Chai, a strawberry puff pastry, and the Cascara Latte, which was completely new to me. The barista recommended it, and I fell in love with the flavors on the very first sip! It had this subtle honey floral flavor that wasn't overly sweet and paired beautifully with the oat milk. Such a unique and delicious latte! The strawberry puff pastry tasted like an elevated Pop-Tart minus the frosting, tapping into those nostalgic flavors we all grew up loving, but with a more sophisticated twist. And the Dirty Chai? A classic that never disappoints. I especially love that they make their own syrups. You can really taste the care that goes into their drinks. Another bonus is that they have a presence at the farmers market at Haggin Oaks, which is even closer to home for me. The shop alternates between two ordering windows on opposite sides of the building, and having additional staff to take orders at both windows would help move customers through much faster. We waited nearly 40 minutes just to order. I would have gone elsewhere, but other coffee shops in the area were closed. The quality of the coffee was good, but the staffing and ordering process need attention, especially on weekends.
