I really love eating at Covo . For the past year or 2 it's been such an enjoyable delicious place to eat lunch during my work hours. The last 2 months I've noticed a decline in the staff at this establishment. The food seems to still be up to par but the help is not friendly and just simply doesn't seem like they want to be there. The dining room has been less clean as well and always out of bottled water. I know this seems Patty but if someone doesn't say anything I will they know? The food remains delicious so I will continue to come but I really wish they could work a few issues that have come up lately that are a bit of a turn off . I know the shortage of workers probably has been difficult as well. For the past couple years this is been one of my favorite places to eat and I would like to continue coming here if they can get things back up to par . read more

While visiting family we stopped about an hour before closing. Got a salmon pita. The salmon was described as being marinated in Greek spices. In actually it was extremely bland with no flavor at all. It actually tasted like it been quickly defrosted while cooking. Very disappointed. read more

Not impressed at all. From my understanding this is a brand new restaurant and everyone in the area is trying it out. Well don't. You're doing yourself a favor. I walked in and starting looking at the menu. The man behind the counter kept looking at me, no hello, nothing. I then say hello and tell him I've never been there before. He tell me I can get a plate or a bowl. I told him I'd prefer a bowl and ask for chicken breast. They didn't offer any. I tried their chicken option and it was nasty. I asked for their vegetarian option. He pointed to a spinach pie. Honestly, I wanted to leave, but since I was right on time, I went with it. I was giving 2 side options, I opted for the olive spread and the cabbage salad. I then ask if I will be receiving pita or pita chips for the spread. All in all, it sucked! The best part of my meal was my drink selection, they offer izzy. Number 2 would have to be the cabbage salad. The spinach pie was cold and nasty, and the pita chips were old. We have been enjoying Covo since they opened few years ago. Their fresh veggie and protein toppings for Greek street beef&lamb Yeeros are delicious, and far better and fresher tasting than other gyros elsewhere. My wife is celiac and she appreciate the gluten-free pita ($2), and she has never gotten ill (sick from contamination) eating here. The manager is fantastic making her GF pita. So glad to see them survive the pandemic and come back to life in a safe manner. Yet again I get to the restaurant to order items from the grill (Skepasti and burgers) and they've dismantled the grill because the kids running this place want to get out by 9 pm. Quality of food has slipped greatly since about the same time Picantico pork was removed from the menu. Meats have been dry regardless of the time of day and the taste and texture of sides does not resemble the way it did when I first started eating here. It feels like it is being managed by someone new, but I have not heard this to be true. This was a regular stop for me, however, will be seeking a replacement choice for Greek faire. read more

This is decent food. The problem is they aren't busy. So the food is dried out and old. They cut the dry part off and serve it. It's also all good you could get at any store. Nothing to write home about. It's kind of just bland and no personality. I'd not call it real Greek food, but fast Greek food that is served without pride. read more

My wife and I visited Covo today, after a gap of maybe a year. The quality and quantity of the food was significantly better as compared with our previous visits. We both had salads - lovely texture, lots of meat and toppings, and yummy sauces. They carved the meat from the spit directly on the salad, whereas earlier they used to carve and store them before serving. This was a significant improvement. My chicken was a bit dry but the sauces made up for it. The salads are also larger and better value for money now. We will be back again. read more

I haven't been to Covo in a while, and after today, I won't go back. The two employees working had long/big curly hair which was very unkempt and not covered or pulled back in any way. They both moved INCREDIBLY slowly. I feel like they had both smoked marijuana cigarettes before their shift. They wrapped our wraps oddly, putting the wrapping paper INTO the food as they were wrapping them. They were odd and peculiar and not particularly clean. This place is like the chipotle of Greek food. You choose your meat and can have it in a pita, bowl with rice, or salad. You get to pick your toppings and a sauce as well. My husband had the lamb gyro and I had the chicken. Both were very good! Also tried the roasted red pepper hummus with pita which was also tasty. It's got a rustic feel to it and there is professionally painted graffiti in the bathrooms. We ate there for $20 for 2 entrees and an appetizer. We will be back! read more

I love these fast-casual type restaurants similar to how food is ordered at Chipotle and I love Greek food; this place did not disappoint. I've only been twice and I've ordered the same thing- bowl, beef and lamb 'yeero', tzaziki suace, covo sauce, and a bunch of the toppings they offer. I have also tried their hummus dip the first time I went. The taste was good, but I don't think I would order it again only because of the portion size in relation to the price you pay. Covo's is a great alternative to burgers and fries. They're menu is fairly diverse and the food is tasty. I had the yeero (gyro) and my wife had pork souvlaki. The only thing I would say is that the portions of meat were a bit small. We also had loukoumades for dessert. We found them to be kind of heavy and leaden and lacking in honey syrup. Again, the portion size was on the small size relative to the price. All in all, Covo is clean and their food is fresh. The atmosphere is fun and the service is good. read more

I like this place and a must try... must try again! I got the salmon bowl with the works (basically got everything that was available to be added to my bowl (just not all the sauces - got spicy sauce and cucumber sauce) and it was for about $7 something. Then I had to get beer in a plastic cup (wish I got a glass , but hey , had to get my beer somehow). I chose the Two Brothers draft one- the owner said most of the ladies preferred it , so I chose it and it was pretty good (will have to try the darker beer that's on draft next time) - I had to sip the beer before my salmon bowl was ready (had a stressful day:P) and the owner refilled it while I waited! I was excited to try this restaurant and visited with some co-workers for lunch. Several reviews mention it is like a Greek style Chipolte and that is accurate, It is a fast casual concept where you order and pay at counter and you food is brought out to you. You can get a salad, pita or a bowl, and you get to pick your protein, toppings, and sauce. There are a lot of options and the young man behind the counter did not seem interested in answering questions even though there was not a line. We all got bowls and I got some hummus on the side. The portions are pretty big even on the sides so that if you want some hummus and a bowl it is too much food and fairly expensive. I would have also liked to have some pita on the side and that was not an option. The toppings are fresh and plentiful, but I got the Gyro meat and it was dry and fatty. It looked really good on the spit behind the counter, but mine came from the line and was already sliced. I have never had fatty gyro meat before, so I was disappointed. The hummus and chips were good and I could have just had that for lunch. I may give Covo another try, but I would select something different. read more

My wife and I was there yesterday evening and I have to say I was not expecting that experience from covo. We've been there numerous times before but yesterday just sucked. The server behind the counter looked like he did not want to be there. He had one gloved hand he was using to touch food and numerous things in the grill area. The portions of the food was waaaay less and to top it off, there was a fly roaming around the food area for who knows how long, that I had to bring to his attention because he looked like he did not care the fly was there. We should have walked out but we did not (not sure if it was shock) and paid for the damn food $41 worth (that's on us for finishing that transaction). Probably not going back there. read more

Entering COVO Greek Street Food one cannot help but be impressed. The restaurant is clean, well organized, an extensive menu, and there are three Gyros cones cooking on a vertical rotisserie. It was a virtual feast for the eyes! Some previous reviews compared COVO to Chipotle, which is a fair comparison, just with Greek food. After seeing the gyros cones cooking, juices dripping, tantalizing me with it's rotisserie induced light browning of the meats had me hooked. Ordering is similar to what you would find at either Chipotle or even Subway or Jersey Mike's.....food prepared in front of you and you follow the process by following a long counter that leads you to the cashier. There were many choices of toppings to customize my Gyros. I chose the traditional onions, sauce, and a dash of Feta cheese. The pita was heated with a dash of olive oil, with a nice light brown color to it. All was looking good until they added the Gyros meat. They took the meat from a warming drawer! The wonderful cooking Gyros cone that so enticed me was a ruse, a prop, a decoration! I asked why the meat wasn't cut fresh for my Gyros and I was told that wasn't they way they did it. They did make the fries to order, unfortunately the time that it took to make the fries left the Gyros get cold. The baklava was flaky and fresh with just the right amount on honey. With a soft drink added, the total was $17.00 and change. The Gyros was cold (due to having to wait for the fries) and the meat was dry. This was due to it being stored in a warming drawer. I'd give the Gyros 2 stars, the fries 3 stars and the Baklava 3 stars as well. If COVO would make one simple change and eliminate the warming drawer, serve the Gyros fresh and hot from the rotisserie this easily could have been a four star review. read more

I got the saganaki which was SO good, perfectly made, the loukamedes were good as well. HOWEVER the BIG reason they lost a star: the soup. I am a absolute LOVER of my avgolemeno. And this just.. no. I'm sorry but where's that eggy part?? And carrots??? And... potato?? I had little balls of POTATO in my soup. I will return however to try out the gyros and the meats! read more

A good amount of meat on a pita that didn't have the same sort of "chew" as the Naf Naf version... Fantastic. Really did remind me of the street food I've had in Greece and throughout Eastern Europe. I got the spicy pork gyros pita with COVO sauce. Loved it. Kids got very reasonable priced kids gyros. One chicken (very good) and two beef & lamb (very very good) with decent fries and a drink. They have some high end fountain drinks for the same price as the Coke, so that was a nice change of pace. My wife got the pork souvlaki. Took an extra 10 minutes to make it fresh, but she said it was worth it. I tried it, and the pork was very flavorful, but I'll stick with the gyros. We ordered a side of the Greek potatoes. They were ok. Won't get those again. Will definitely be back. read more
