I love this place - this review is overdue. It's located behind the church - keep driving to the back parking lot and you will see a big grassy/turf area with tables outside. This place is super dog friendly and has good WiFi - a good spot to get some work done. The employees are always super friendly. I love their matcha, it's my go to. However, I tried their charcoal latte today and was blown away. Tastes like an Oreo latte perfection.
I really wanted to try Cowboy Coffee for a while now and was really excited to go today. Unfortunately, it was not worth the drive out. Two stars because this is a very cute location and I think it makes for a cute outdoor cafe/picnic space. The staff was also very nice. It is just very unfortunate that the two drinks we ordered (a matcha latte with blueberry cold foam and the butterscotch latte) were both not to my liking. The matcha was extremely grainy and had a very odd flavor. I don't recommend if you enjoy a strong matcha with smooth flavor and texture. The latte on the other hand was just way too milky for my liking. I can see someone liking it if they like super milky and mellow coffees and if that's you, I recommend that one.
I've only been once and it was a super hot day, so I couldn't enjoy the outdoor space with my kids. I was hoping to try their pastries; unfortunately, the sign said no pastries. Hopefully I can return again and relax with the kids! I liked my drink and I appreciate how they can adjust the sweetness. They did 1/3 the regular sugar and it was just right. One suggestion is to offer reduced fat milk. Otherwise, great spot!
Super happy cowboy coffee opened back up again! I discovered this place through social media because they went viral for their blueberry cold foam, and I will say it's definitely worth the hype! The blueberry is not artificial, and its very light , not super sweet flavor that pairs deliciously with their matcha or lattes. I would recommend adding vanilla syrup to the latte and then adding any of their cold foams since the foam doesn't have much sweetness to it. They have a seasonal cream top which makes me want to come back to try every season! Given that it's an outdoor coffee cart, their drinks are high quality and always consistent. The baristas are super sweet and always helpful when I ask any questions or needed suggestions. There is plenty of outdoor seating, some that have umbrellas. Parking is super easy as there is plenty of spots.
This place has gone down hill! Ordered a latte with double shot espresso and blueberry cream top for $9, and it tastes so watery and I'm certain we didn't get the right cream top. The lady at the counter had an attitude and said it was blueberry, it's just not "colored." Newsflash, I'm not asking for food dye, I'm asking if the cream was made with blueberries. (Which would've def added color to the cream naturally, and clearly my drink didn't have it!) anyway, waste of time and money.
Cute outdoor coffee cart and love their blueberry cream. Got the vanilla latte while some friends got the regular latte and a matcha, all with the blueberry cream, and all huge fans. Overall great espresso flavor and love how complimentary and real the blueberry taste is to all the drinks. Area has super easy parking and lots of seating, but will get toasty on a hot day! Will be coming back because I saw that pistachio cream.... Great staff though and the owners are so sweet, support small businesses!
Truly a favorite spot of mine for coffee or matcha. I typically order the matcha latte with the seasonal cream top. It's currently strawberry! The staff is always friendly and speedy. They've added umbrellas to every seating area now, so you can easily sit out and enjoy your drinks on a hot day. In case it's not clear from the other photos, this is an exclusively outdoor space! Very family and pet friendly.
It's different. Very outdoorsy! It's outdoors on the back lawn of a church. Lots of parking, green grass, and tables. Great for those not too hot, not too windy days. I had an espresso with blueberry foam. The consistency is less creamy and much lighter than whipped cream. Tastes like a blueberry espresso. I love espresso con panna so this was a great change. One barista and one cashier, both very nice. I'll be back on a day that I want a change.

3.5 stars Located at a stand on some fake grass behind a building, plenty of parking and not sketchy. Iced Flat White with Blueberry Cold Foam ($5) 3.5/5 Most drinks here come with 2 shots of espresso and it tastes pretty strong but somehow still tasted watered down. The drinks even with the blueberry cold foam is almost not sweet at all at 100% sweetness- I usually ask for 25% sweetness and actually forgot this time. Guava Croissant ($6) 5/5 This was so good. It isn't too sweet, there was plenty of guava filling/jam and there might have been a little cream cheese in it but the pastry is flaky on top and chewy on the bottom which is exactly how I like flaky pastries. Staff (cashier/barista) 5/5 Super nice and accommodating. Flexible to adjust my drink to my liking.
Was in the area and stopped by for a matcha. I chose the matcha latte with a blueberry cream top and oat milk. It was really good, I forgot to ask for less sweet and surprisingly it wasn't overly sweet. Service was berry quick (I was the only one in line) and friendly. I wanted to try the maple cinnamon cream top but the girl working hadn't tried it yet so I couldn't get a rec from her. They have quite a few tables for hanging out and on a clear day there is lots of sun to warm you up. Pet friendly!!
Cowboy Coffee is in a mixed use space that houses a church on the weekends but has an open area for coffee making and hanging out. They have a number of tables and chairs for you to relax at. They only have one menu and it's on the front counter at the cashier so you have to either wait to make your decision at the front or go up and take a picture of the menu first. Butterscotch Latte - Since the pistachio foam was out of season, I went with the Butterscotch Latte. I like the coffee bean flavor and I liked the butterscotch too, but felt it could have just been a tad stronger on the butterscotch flavor. I like my creamed coffees a little bit sweeter so I had to ask them for a little more simple syrup on top since they don't have a sugar stand. We went on a Saturday morning and there was a five minute line and the drinks came out within five minutes after ordering. They had parking in back. Everything was easy peasy!

The matcha blueberry cream latte is 5/5. The matcha wasn't subtle, and the blueberry cream was superb- the flavor was good (not too sweet or having any tang like the Dr.ink blueberry cream in their blueberry cream latte) but creamy and sweet enough where it not only complimented but added to the matcha and made it come together nicely! Already am frequenting haha but will be continuing and bringing friends to discover this spot :) read more

This is a cute little outdoor coffee pop up, and everyone here was really nice. We're on our way back to LA, so my husband wanted something strong. He got the Blue Collar with 4 shots. He said it's strong, but smooth. The butterscotch has the perfect amount of sweetness to it, and the blueberry cold foam adds a nice touch to the matcha latte. read more

I had the chance to check out this coffee spot in Sunnyvale after it was recommended by a friend and popped up a few times on my social media feed. I visited on a Saturday morning, and by the time I arrived, there was a line of about six or seven people. The location is tucked behind a church and a gym, which can make it a bit tricky to find at first. The setup of the place is charming. There's a picnic-style seating area with a few tables, and guests are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets to relax and enjoy their coffee outdoors. I ordered two "Blue Collar" drinks--one made with cold brew and the other with drip coffee. The menu offers a wide selection, with both hot and cold options and a variety of flavored foams. It's clear they're aiming to offer something a little different. That said, the baristas seemed a bit backed up, likely because they make everything fresh to order. When I finally got my cold brew version of the Blue Collar, I really enjoyed it. The coffee was smooth and flavorful. I'd definitely come back to try more of their foam-topped creations. My only real letdown was the name of the coffee shop--it's themed around cowboys, but nothing on the menu or in the drinks themselves really ties into that theme. read more

Great coffee bar run by a super sweet duo! Stumbled upon Cowboy Coffee when looking for coffee open early on the weekdays. The coffee bar is located in the back lot that's connected to the City Sports gym and New Nation Church. I ordered a cappuccino which was tasty and smooth! Great espresso here. The space is great for hanging out or getting some work in on a nice day. Lots of picnic tables to sit and enjoy and listen to the country music playing. The husband-wife duo are super sweet and personable, and it turned it was only their first week of opening Cowboy Coffee. Overall would recommend checking out for a relaxed vibe and good coffee. read more

The workers are SO nice and super helpful. I didnt know what to pick since I usually drink plain lattes but wanted to try something new. He gave such a fun overview of the flavors and even said he could go light on the sweetness to accommodate for my taste. I got a butterscotch latte which was so yummy and another time i got the famous blueberry cream top matcha latte. Both 10/10. It is quite busy though! I did go at 10 AM on a corporate workday and had to wait about 20 min to order and then about 10 for the latte and a little longer for the matcha (its popular so everyone's ordering it). SO worth the wait if you have the time :) read more

Love this place, finally a solid coffee place in Sunnyvale! Matcha latte was good (photo was taken halfway through). Flash brew was very good, better than cold brews at many other places. Espresso drinks were good too. Personally was expecting the cream top to be thicker (like the ones at boba shops), but my friend likes it liquidy like theirs, so it's up to personal preference. read more

Cute little outdoor coffee stand in the back of a warehouse. It's hard to find from the main but a great place to chill outside on a nice day. They have some specialty lattes and baked goods but I just got the drip coffee. There's also wifi if you wanna work for a bit. read more

Super cute outdoor coffee shop located in a commercial area. I got the matcha latte with blueberry foam top. The foam is so good with the perfect amount of sweet, but the matcha itself tastes a bit thin for lack of better description, but still one of the better matchas I've had at a cafe. There's not too much available seating outside. Waited a while for my drink and for my order to be taken, but it seems like a more small/local coffee shop so it makes sense. Was really looking forward to this place since I heard they serve a good matcha. I ordered an iced matcha latte with a vanilla cream top. Unfortunately, I was immediately disappointed with the color and already knew it was more milk to matcha ratio. Maybe it was an off day, but as a matcha enthusiast, this would be rated worse than a matcha from Starbucks. On the other hand, staff was friendly. Lots of seating outdoors (but currently have construction, so probably not a great place to work unless you don't mind the noise). Plenty of parking. Can't attest for their coffee but you might want to try that instead of the matcha. EDIT: After speaking with the owner about my experience above, I'm willing to give it another try when I'm in the area again. I do think it was a one-off since my drink doesn't look like the others on here. Can't beat their timely customer service to help resolve a not so positive experience and their willingness to do better. Looking forward to the next drink I try! read more

I ordered the blueberry cream admittedly was chalky in texture but overall very good flavor profiles. Although a little hidden and hard to find, the outdoor dining area is very spacious, perfect for a group of friends. read more

This has to be the best blueberry matcha I've tried in the Bay Area! I loved how creamy and flavorful the cold foam was and it didn't taste like artificial blueberry. The matcha didn't overpower the light flavor of the cream so I thought both paired well together. read more

A small hidden coffee spot located in the parking lot right behind a warehouse and adjacent to City Sports/a daycare. Living locally I have never noticed this and found it while scrolling on yelp. It's an outdoor coffee spot and seating is all outdoors with no heaters. More of a grab and go type spot than a cafe. I ordered the match latte which was average, but my husband got their seasonal eggnog latte and he enjoyed it - said it reminded him of when Starbucks used to offer eggnog. Service was good, I came when they just opened so there was no wait and the barista/cashier was able to explain a couple of their menu items. I would consider returning back in the Spring/Summer to sit in the patio area. read more

Saw people raving about their blueberry matcha on TikTok so had to come give it a try! Got here at 10:30am on a Saturday - there was a line but it moved surprisingly quickly. You can tell they have a good system since the baristas were constantly calling out names. After ordering myself I waited less than 5 min to get my drink. The blueberry cream top was creamy, subtle, and a great addition to the matcha, which was delightful by itself as well. Not bitter but strong - you can tell by the green vibrancy. My friend and I sat at one of their tables outside and one of the employees was so kind to help move the umbrella closer to us so that we'd be in the shade. I'd love to come back to try one of their other cream tops and even their coffees! read more

Cute cafe tucked away behind a bunch of office buildings. Plenty of parking but it's an outdoor cafe so not very work friendly. We got the butterscotch latte and a regular latte with cinnamon maple cold foam on top. The drinks were mid. The butterscotch latte was 100 times better than the regular latte, because even with the cold foam, the latte was not sweet whatsoever. The cold foam was just tasting like regular cold foam with a little sprinkle of cinnamon in it. I don't think I'd come again, just because the drinks did not wow me at all, and it's a pick up your drink and go kind of café. We also tried a chocolate pumpkin loaf (not pictured). It was cold when we got it, but tasted pretty good. Like a Starbucks pumpkin loaf. Overall, not my favorite café, but customer service was great. Drinks took kind of a while to come out too, just a warning. read more

Cowboy Coffee shares the same building as Echo Church but the entrance is on the right side, away from Panera Bread. There is an outdoor patio area with wooden tables and umbrellas. There are plenty of parking spaces. The entrance is shared with Kindercare lot. Enter the plaza and make a left, if you go towards the right side where Panera is, that's the wrong way. The exit out of CC is located on the side next to Omescape. Be mindful of drivers who enter the exit side. It's a tight squeeze with cars entering and exiting, plus the parking spaces. Inside CC, there are a few high tops and a wide area to wait for your drinks. There is a restroom located inside. There are at least three baristas upfront and a few more working at the back. The baristas were constantly going to the back of the house to get ice, cups or making blueberry, vanilla, cold foam. I arrived at 12:30 pm and it was a long line. I waited at least ten minutes before I got to order and another fifteen minutes for my three drinks. One of the baristas at the back said that the wait is twenty minutes. I appreciate the size of the drinks and the fresh vanilla cold foam. I wish they wrote on the cup which drink was the vanilla latte and butterscotch. Both looked similar to each other. It didn't help that the barista who handed me the drinks was not the barista who made it. They do not put the lids on for you. Despite the long line, the baristas were helpful and kept the line moving as quickly as possible. The butterscotch coffee wasn't too sweet and the vanilla cold foam was dense. It added sweetness to the coffee as I babysat it. They also don't put too much ice, which is nice as I got more coffee. The price is relatively inexpensive compared to other cafes. I wouldn't go on a Saturday unless I get there early. It was my first time to try CC and that's the only reason why I stayed in the long queue. I want to try their matcha blueberry foam next. I saw a lot of people leaving CC with this more than coffee. read more
Local favorite? Not mine. Lacked in many ways. I visited on May 14th and even posted and tagged them on Instagram but never heard back from them. I got inline at 12:19pm with 5 people infront of me. Ordered at 12:29pm. Matcha was all out for the day. One thing I noticed right away was there were not prices on their seasonal menu - (mont blanc, agua jaimaica, vanilla charcoal latte and southern sweet tea) Coffee was a 10 minute wait for 3 coffees I ordered. Iced butterscotch latte with blue berry cream top, iced lavender latte and an iced mont blanc extra sweet. They had messed up on the mont blanc and made an extra one for us. My friend described her mont blanc to taste like dirty cigarette water. I had to try it myself and quickly put it down. The drinks were not good. We tried hard to finish them, but it was difficult. My butterscotch latte tasted of just milk and light blueberry cream. The cream top did not mix well with the latte and sort of just stayed ontop. I noticed the day I came they were training a new barista. Flash brew- a little watered down, didn't have much coffee taste Latte - too milky. Sadly will not be returning for this viral coffee. read more
