First time visit - 4 stars. I like Cowboy Jacks. I'd classify them as a high end bar/restaurant, with a cowboy theme, that pays a lot of extra attention to their food and menu. This is the second location I've checked out. I like the décor, the service was excellent, and the food was good. I also really like the life sized metal horse sculpture outside (see photo). I started things off with Cowboy Jack's Wings. The wings were good. For the entree, we both ordered the Ribeye Special, featuring a 16 ounce cut of beef. The steaks had great flavor and they were cooked-to-order perfectly. LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It was easy to eat low-carb, keto, carnivore-style at Cowboy Jacks. The wings & the steaks definitely worked. My only complaint is you can't get the meat "a la carte" and they force you to purchased plant based sides. I got 2 sides of french fries and I fed them to the squirrels in my backyard at home...I didn't want a big starch bomb that would definitely spike the heck out of my glucose and my insulin levels. No thanks! So the sides were a complete waste for both of us. Overall, I had a nice experience at Cowboy Jacks. As a carnivore, I probably wouldn't go back and I'd just grill a giant 2 inch thick Prime ribeye at home for half the price of a restaurant. But if you're keto and if you want to socialize, this restaurant is a good option for you. -Maxx

Go during happy hour from 3-6pm!! Select apps are half off like the cheese curds (some of the best I've ever had) and the chicken quesadilla. Also Wednesdays is burger night which is $3 for a burger then .50 cents a topping which is a great deal because the burger is big. DO NOT get the boneless wings!! I paid $12 for 6 boneless wings and 4 pieces of tiny celery, it is not worth it.

I don't know if it was staffing issues or what but we seated ourselves as indicated by the sign and no one came to our table for ver 15 minutes. We ordered the sloppy jacks sliders and pesto chicken flatbread. The chicken on the flatbread was gross. It tasted like super stringy rotisserie chicken. The sloppy sliders were congealed and seemed old. Will probably never re

I go to Cowboy Jacks often, especially in the summertime, and this location was just okay compared to other locations in the Twin Cities. I like to go during happy hour because they have the best HH deals in town. Half price on select appetizers (marked with a little symbol in the menu) and $2 taps & rails from 3-6pm or after 10pm every day of the week. I expect this time to always be busy however, the Plymouth location seems to not handle the high volume as well as the other Cowboy Jacks' I've been to. Their wait staff don't seem to communicate very well and the service is slow. If you're trying to snag a patio seat during busy times, best of luck and try to go early. We came in and waited for nearly 20 minutes before someone even came over to us to ask if we wanted to be seated indoors or outdoors. We requested outdoors and it took another 10 minutes for someone to come back and tell us that the tables were all full. At this point, there was a small line building behind us, and those customers also were hoping to sit outside, so it disappointed all of us. We ended up at the bar and the service there was a bit quicker, but I couldn't help but think the staff could be more attentive in general. It made it even more irritating that there was a customer at the bar trying to ask my friend what ethnicity I was; it made for an all around uncomfortable experience, and no one seemed to bat an eye at how weird he was being. I will stick to other Cowboy Jack's locations as they have the same happy hour as this one does. This one doesn't have anything special to offer, the staff move at snail speed, and their wings are good but you can easily get better wings at the other CJ's or elsewhere. They also don't offer lasso fries any more so I was big sad about that.

    Done eating and sooooo happy!

How cow am I glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews!!!! This was an incredible experience! Our server, Erik, was a the best! The food was amazing. The atmosphere on the patio was so good and the other customers made it feel like old home week! I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Everything from the best ribs I've ever had to same rated flatbread to the healthier cauliflower rice bowl was soooooo good!!!!!

The atmosphere is bright, cheery, and enthusiastic -- although perhaps a bit loud. But then again, it's a sports bar with more televisions than Best Buy. The service was extremely friendly, professional, and competent. All of the waitstaff were hard working and very attentive. Our waitress can around often to bring pop refills and to check on us. The food was typical sports bar faire, but well done. We did not go for the July Bloody Mary of the month ($30!) (see photos), which came with more food than a full day's outing at the Minnesota State Fair. Instead, my wife had been and the Jumbo Bacon Cheddar Chive Tots ($13), which were filling and tasty. The tots were stuffed with bacon, cheddar cheese and chive, and served with aioli. I had the Traditional Bone-in Wings ($16.50) with two sauces - sweet chili, and sticky garlic gochujang. Although both were flavorful, my personal preference was for the sweet chili. All of the wings were juicy and cooked well. I also upgraded to a very large portion of beer battered fries, which were shoe-strong fries. They were cooked well - not greasy or overcooked and very tasty. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal.

We had a cream filled bismark, a sausage roll, and an Asian coffee. The bismark was the best I have had in a long time. They fill it with your choice of fillings right when you order so it isn't soggy. The dough part of the donut was fresh and light and somehow tastier than anywhere I have been. The custard was pretty standard custard, but also tasted lighter and fresher than I have had before. The sausage roll was basically a hot dog type sausage wrapped in a croissant type dough. There was also an option of cheese and jalapeño. It was good. The Asian coffee was good, as you might guess it was pretty much what other places call Vietnamese coffee. It is in a strip mall so there is strip mall parking. There is a ramp and the store is pretty handicapped accessible. The staff were fast, efficient, and friendly. Back to Pink Ivy. The service is quality. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived. The reservation policy may seem "strict", but if you can live with needing to provide a 24 cancel notice, I think you will find the service is good because the business doesn't get slammed by unexpected high demand. Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead. Reservations fill up days in advance. I think you'll find it worth the extra planning. PS my ratings are adjusted for the type of venue. These are not Michelin stars.
