Unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience at Lucky's 13 pub. We recommended this restaurant to our family, who were first time visitors. First thing we noticed was the lack of staff. They had a sign by the door that said, "wait to be seated". We waited for someone to greet us for over 5 min. After being seated, we were told, "I will do my best to pay attention to you guys, I was just seated some really big tables." [[[Pause]]] What!? When we had the opportunity, and ear of our waitress, we ordered food and I will say, the kitchen staff did great! The food was hot and super quick. Besides service, I am incredibly disappointed with the marketing in their menu. We were thrilled to see that Sunday was all day happy hour, which included $3 off appetizers. No fine print in sight. We ordered three (which we NEVER do). When our bill arrived, we were charged full price. When we asked about it, we were told, "oh, that's only after 3pm" (mind you, it was 2:45pm) at this time. I said, "that should be clearly stated in the menu." After no response, we decided to glance back at the menu. It's simply the principle. We went round and round with their very limited staff. They basically blamed it on a misprint in the menu. My response.... grab a marker and update your menus then! Overall, really awful experience. The service was terrible. The inside space is nice but it was empty inside when we went so there wasnt much for a vibe. We unfortunately did not enjoy our food. Cheese curds were fine though a little soft. Boneless Buffalo wings again were average. They had no spice and needed more sauce. The blue cheese was good though. Black and blue burger needed more blue cheese, very basic flavor. Smash burger crunchwrap was meh, kinda hard to eat. Fries were good but tots were not. They were mushy inside and flavorless, we didn't finish them even though there was only 3. Service was meh as well and we never got refills on our drinks. There is a nice sized outside patio and plenty of parking. Restaurant is attached to a hotel. read more

What a fun bar! From the moment we walked in, the space had an open, upbeat vibe with good music playing - not too loud, just the right volume to keep the energy up without killing our conversation. Service was quick and attentive, even though we arrived super late when only the starters were still available. Bonus points for easy parking and the pull-tabs were available for play, which adds a little extra entertainment. We nibbled our way through a casual dinner starting with the Bull Bites - blackened tenderloin pieces served over a bed of super crispy onion shreds. Each bite of tenderloin was flavorful and, as you can see in my pic, perfectly charred without being overcooked. Next up were the potstickers. Each were lightly seared for texture (see my pic) but the flavor was just okay - neither the sear nor the stuffing really stood out. We wrapped up with the chicken quesadilla, which arrived with a nice drizzle of crema fresca across the top - see my pic. The crema added a mild heat and tied everything together. Another Five Star experience at Lucky 13's with my girlfriends. I enjoyed the Cobb Salad...which all veggies were fresh and crispy! Plenty of avocado, and love the slices of smoky, thick slice of bacon! As for my drink, I ordered a diet coke...and I was so impressed that it was presented with plenty of ice and a twist of lime. We had a fantastic lunch here on a Saturday. I'm glad we got here soon after 11am, too, as the place was quickly filling up as it neared time for bingo at noon. We didn't take part, as we left right as it was beginning, but it looked like a lot of the diners were participating. Service was consistently good the whole time. I was very happy they had cider at tap, and my husband had an amber beer. A bowl of popcorn came out first, which was fun to munch on as we looked at the menus. We shared the cheese curds appetizer. They were excellent: hot all the way through, squeaky and gooey with a pull, the outside light and crisp. My husband loved his hamburger, while I enjoyed the beet salad. This is a restaurant we would visit again, and now we'll be on the look out for others in the chain. read more

I went with the steak sandwich. It was satisfying, though a little under-seasoned and the bun didn't quite hold up. The **spicy Bloody Mary**, though, totally delivered--great flavor, the right amount of heat, and a well-thought-out garnish. The light beer back was a solid touch. Parking can be a bit confusing since the restaurant shares space with a hotel, but we lucked out and found a front-row spot despite it being packed. Turns out, Saturday night is bingo night--which definitely explains the crowd. We didn't join in, but were seated nearby and honestly had a good time listening in. The bingo callers brought great energy without overwhelming the space, making it a surprisingly fun part of the experience. read more

What a great place to come get a bite to eat or have a beer or cocktail. The service was great as our bartender had a basket of popcorn and was taking my order as I sat down at the bar. I wanted to order a typical bar sandwich like a Ruben, Philly Cheesesteak or Monte Cristo but the Minnesota Bowl caught my eye. With blackened Walleye over Jasmine and wild rice, I had to try this dish that I don't normally see in CA. It had a Hollandaise sauce over it that was very good too. The place is big and well kept. I would love to come back and try some of the other dishes. i was really fond of red ale they have here. I think it was Lucky Amber but it is not on the menu. Sat at the bar on a Friday evening about 6:15. Drinks and menus were provided shortly after arrival. We probably made a mistake ordering mixed drinks at a place like this, but that's on us. The menus sat on the bar for 30 minutes with no one showing any interest in taking our order, even though the "bartenders" walked past us multiple times and spent time removing glassware from the dishwasher right in front of us. After sitting there for 1/2 hour we finally flagged someone down for our tab. Once received, we placed it, along with our credit card, on the bar for payment. Ten minutes later, there were no takers. We switched to cash, and left it on the bar as we took our exit. We have been there before with no complaints. We will not be back after this experience. read more

Met some old coworkers for a happy hour at this spot in Plymouth. Big area and lots of seating. Good selection of beers and a full bar. The server was fairlyu attentive and was there to take orders as people streamed in and she kep the drinks flowing. Ordered an inferno burger with fries for dinner. The burger was cooked according to my request. Had a really good heat and was spicier than I expected which I enjoyed. The fries on the other hand were a let down. Oily and not as crispy or fresh as I would expect. Probably should have tried their onion rings or some other side but the server said their fries were pretty great. The other burgers looked very good as well and the cheery and rowdy environment made for a good place to host happy hours. Would go again if there was another happy hour there. read more

I have tried Lucky's 13 in Roseville before and this location has a similar feel as that location. It's very active and has a fun casual atmosphere. My bf , me and a couple friends met up here to try a new place in the area. The menu has a large variety of options, typical bar food in my opinion. Frankly the food was nothing super exciting but it tasted fine. My friend and I were disappointed that when we ordered the L13 tots that they were not tator tots. They are stuffed potato balls. I didn't think they tasted bad, they were just different. When my friend mentioned this to the waitress this is where the service went from awesome to bad. I want to put it out there that my friend was blunt and she made comments of the tots tasting like ass. This could've been handled better on both sides . But after this interaction and the waitress telling us that L13 tots has been on the menu for over 20 years and a favorite the conversation ended. We had hoped that this could be forgiven as just a difference of opinion. The waitress ignored us for over an hour. We did not get anymore great customer service , no water refills , no check in, and she made a show of checking on every other table around us. When we started trying to flag down other people to help us get the bill and take out containers is when she finally came back over. She was now snarky and when we asked for a box she tossed one at me. My boyfriend paid and we just left. We figure that it had been a long shift for her and the comment was a bit harsh from my friend. I had told my friend that it was harsh but the snarky attitude after made all of the positives of the great atmosphere and the great service she offered in the beginning go down the drain. read more

First time at a Lucky's 13 Pub; we were worried it wasn't a family friendly restaurant but that's not the case. They had crayons and an activity page all ready to go for when we sat down. Loved the vibe, aesthetic, tables & booths, decor. All around 5 stars for that alone! lol. Our server was a guy named Brad, he's the type of server that you wish you'd get at every restaurant!! He was so kind, down to earth, respectful but personable. The food was excellent. The kitchen did mess up our daughter's order but it was fixed in timely a manner. Doesn't bother us if there's mistakes with food, as long as it's fixed in a polite way, (mistakes happen ‍ not a big deal) and Brad was able to get everything straightened out for us. They even offered to comp the dish for us or give us a piece of cake but we respectfully declined both offers. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back! read more

Good customer service would have been to call me and let me know what was going on. Ordered the Thursday night special (Sirloin steak with daily veggies and choice of potatoes). For honey and no veggies. At least I had ordered a salad and we could split it. Also only have 1 dressing choice for salad. Food was good but expensive. Thursday special and French dip sandwich with salad (extra $2.50) was $45 with 10% tip for take out. 3 stars is because food was good. Service should get one read more

Went to Lucky's 13 for our 42nd wedding anniversary on March 26. We both ordered the Juicy LuLu burger. My husband had the fries with his, and I ordered the onion rings. He said his fries could have been cooked a little longer. I tried a couple and they were definitely undercooked. My onion rings were excellent. The burgers were very large and very delicious. An added bonus was the popcorn, which is delivered to your table by your server. Some of the best popcorn I've had in a bar. On our way out, our server gave us a bag to take home, which I thought was really nice. It was still quite tasty several days later. My only negative comment is that the Lucky's 13 Pub in Plymouth is a little tricky to get to. It's sort of hidden behind the Comfort Inn, and you have to drive thru their lot to get to it. read more

Tis the season, and Lucky's was full of preholiday parties when we visited last night. Extremely friendly and even a little rowdy environment for the peak hours visit. The menu is definitely bar food, but there's nothing bad about that at all - ITS A BAR CAFE! Huge burger menu with a lot of options for sides, and a big starter and sandwich menu as well. They've got your fish tacos, hot wings, cheese curds, onion rings, or whatever is on your mind, and everything we tried was great. We settled on a barbecue burger (bacon, onions, cheese, and a very nice bbq sauce) and a bleu burger with bleu cheese, bacon, and a very nice sauce. We tried sides of sweet potato and regular fries, and onion rings - one of everything would have been the right choice! Service was quick, complete, and friendly with the right touch of getting what we needed with out pestering or ignoring us, very nice indeed. It's a pretty casual bar with a huge beer menu (it was a Guinness night for both of us). Like I said, it was a hopping night so it could get a little loud at times, but it was never a problem. Conversation was never a problem. It is located right next to an office building and a Comfort Inn, so i suspect parking in their lot might be a challenge at times, but it was fine for us. If you are in the neighborhood and need a comfort food fix, definitely give Lucky's a shot, you will be glad you did! We met friends here for a Vikings game on a Sunday afternoon. The place was PACKED. Our server was Brittany who was absolutely amazing. She had several tables for which she was responsible and served each one with a smile on her face and such friendliness. The food was on par with the other Lucky's in the Twin Cities but Brittany stood out among any server we have had. That said, I had the boneless chicken wings with teriyaki sauce. They were good but a tad on the salty side (as others who tasted them agreed). Others had the quesadilla which was huge and plenty for two to share; buffalo wings which were quite tasty; the BLT bloody mary was a hit; and the popcorn was fresh and delicious. It was loud, as you can imagine during a football game, but not so loud as to have to shout at our table mates. This Lucky's is attached to a hotel which is a blessing for those staying there. Been going here for years with co-workers as this is a great in between spot for all of us. Best Happy Hour I'm the area from 3-6 for right after work and a late night Happy Hour from 9-11 (drinks only). They do it up for holidays too. Was just there yesterday and the Halloween decorations put me in the spooky spirit. They have brought back their free popcorn, great snack if you are just planning on drinks or waiting on foods. You can't go wrong with any of the food there. For apps, we always enjoy the trickles and nachos (choose chicken tinga or pulled pork). They have a new fry platter that you can choose 4 different dipping sauces too. The fries remind me of potato skins with no skin with how they are cut. Flat, fried goodness makes it easy to get a layer of sauce on top. Can't do wrong with the drink specials, very reasonable. House wine is $4.50 during Happy Hour. read more

Water glasses were not refilled, the food, when it finally arrived was at the wrong temperature. The things that should have been cold, like salads, were wilted into submission, and the food that should have been hot was cold, and also wilted into submission. Not a great experience. read more

Took my mom today for lunch. She ordered the 3 meat flat bread and a water, I orders the meatloaf sandwich with french fry's and a Diet Coke. First the server didn't mention that they had diet Pepsi, not Coke. Not the worst thing in the world but I am just not a fan of Diet Pepsi, so I would have appreciated a heads up so I could make an alternative choice. Next the flat bread came out so obviously over baked/burnt, it was hard as a rock and inedible. My mom was able to pick slightly at the center of the crust but basically was only able to eat the toppings. The fact that both the kitchen staff and our server didn't catch this before it got to our table is just unacceptable. Halfway through our meal the server asked if I wanted a refill on my Diet Pepsi. I said yes. When we got our bill. The total was over $42, which with tip wound up being $50. I didn't think too much about it but when I got to my car it hit me, that seemed very high for a sandwich, fry's, small flat bread and a soda. So I glanced at my receipt I was charged $8 for my soda and over charged! Poor quality food, mediocre service and way over charging deserves a review to warn others and we will not return. I'm hoping Lucky 13 uses this to improve. They desperately need this critique. read more

Dropped by on a Saturday. The food gets 4 stars, service from our waiter gets 4 stars, and the decorations get 4 stars, but the actual waiting gets 3 stars. We walked in and a few different staff asked us how many we had - they seemed pretty flustered but it was busy during bingo so I don't hold it against them. We got sat a little over 5min after we arrived. Environment: The place was decorated for Halloween which I loved - you could tell they put a lot into it. And I couldn't complain about all the TVs playing college football as well. Overall, this pub had a good vibe. Food: They give you popcorn while you wait. For an appetizer, we got the chipotle honey boneless wings (sweet with a very little kick that my boyfriend thought was a strong kick - the sauce was a perfect mix and flavorful), taco salad (this is literally the biggest taco salad I've had plus the shell is made in house - we were both very impressed with the portion and taste; the one thing I'd remove was the cheese as there was just too much), and he got a burger with fries (he liked it - he's very easy to please though). We went to Lucky 13 for Sunday breakfast with our daughter and her family and found a new favorite place. We each had a delicious meal after having ordered from a list of nice menu items. Each of ordered a different menu item. We all enjoyed our meal and approved of any other's meals we happened to 'sample'. We had a wonderful server named Brittany. She went above and beyond in attending to our table of six. Brittany checked on us often and anticipated many of our needs, some we were not aware of ourselves. Brittany is very good at what she does and we feel blessed that she waited on our table. The restaurant is easy to access, was clean and and had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. We found a great place for a good meal, and look forward to our next meal at Lucky 13. read more
