I WAS with Cox communications since before they were Cox forced to go to Direct TV but returned when possible because of loyalty and wired WiFi/cable That has changed because of corporate greed and lack of customer service not to mention horrible connection and constant WiFi issues while watching tv! I have health issues with communication but was forced to call frequently to the customer retention department every time a discount ended and my bill would increase while still experiencing connection issues! This month they raised my bill $67 per month (without explanation) to $299.90 per month! I called customer retention but they no longer exist so I went to the Cox store to inquire about the increase and was told my Wi-Fi discount ended! I asked about discounts and lowering again but was told the only discount available was if I switched my cellular service to Cox as well...I said I wasn't interested because of poor service provided, so they said there was nothing else they could offer! I switched back to Direct TV-streaming and save $100 per month and much better service, format, deals and connection! Cox Communications is a corporate rip off without options, horrible connection issues and unhelpful customer service! NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

We went to the cox store on east Charleston Blvd las vegas to get internet service.unfortunately when we got home we where having some trouble connecting it our selves.a technician named JEFF Told us he would come the very next day between 10 and 12 At 930 JEFF called us and told us he would be there at 10 am. Our tv is a newer model and a little difficult to set up. But JEFF set it up for us very quickly He stayed until everything was working correctly,he would not leave until we totally understood how to use the service,no rush and super nice guy,it's hard to find service like that anymore these days,all I can say is thanks JEFF you were great. read more

Cox wifi sucks I am stuck with it because I don't have anyone I can switch to but if you have a choice don't choose them. Only reason they got one star is because I can't give 0 and their tech Erik adjusted my bill and was straight forward about the problem being Cox and not me. I have done everything possible to fix our wifi that goes out 4-5 times a week, but it was all on Cox's end the whole time. Thanks Erik for finally telling me the truth and not selling me phone plans to "lower my bill" (by $1), new routers, and reinstalling cords because "the sun melted them". When I did go in to get the new routers the people in the store were great I just think it's a corporate issue that needs to be resolved. I am done with Cox...but unfortunately they seem to have a monopoly on internet service here. My cable, internet and phone have been going down randomly for the past 2 days after an outage that lasted around 18 HOURS. Now on my Cox app it says there was a network impacting event that will affect services and they are "working" to resolve it blah blah. Sorry I do not believe it. I pay over 300 bucks a month for this kind of crap to happen on a regular basis. I want to switch providers but sadly none of them in Vegas have good reviews. read more

I never Yelp but I have had it with Cox. I have been with them for 5.5 years, pay them over $200.00 a month and nothing ever works. Television constantly reboots by itself in a middle of something and the internet single just simply SUCKS!!! No one can hear me on FaceTime and the signal is constantly lost. This is less about the store than about Cox itself, the fact that its website is totally useless, and my suggestion on avoiding them at all costs. We have phone and internet service. Tuesday morning, it went out. I called. After working my way through the computer system, which is from close to 40 years ago, we had to unplug and reboot things. When that was done and I reported it didn't work, THEN we were told there was an outage in the area. Never mind the inconvenience--we have physical issues that made it very hard for us to do what we had been told to do. Why didn't the prompt say, your phone number is for an account where there's an outage. Because they're incompetent. Now to the next step. I was asked if I wanted to be texted about when service would return. I replied yes. I was told service would be back at about noon. It was back by 10 (as I say, this is not about the store or the service techs). But every day since, I received daily updates that service would be restored that night at midnight. Huh? I tried to converse with an agent through the website's "chat." I recited the problem. The "person" replied they were sorry my service was out and they would try to restore it. It was truly impressive to see an internet and telephone company with the kind of service that didn't rise to the level of Alexander Graham Bell in 1877. read more

Cox is a terrible cable company. I've had numerous conversations with them for intermittent outages for our cable connections. The problem was not corrected and their bills are sooo high!!! I cancelled service, was told I owed a certain amount, which I paid when I cancelled. I asked the agent if that was my last bill amount, they said yes. Then couple months go by I get an email that I still owe $92 bucks. This was so crazy, everytime I asked the agents what my final bill was, I got a diff amount. Asked why? They don't know. Then we noticed that there were interruptions occurring late at night - we were magnanimous and attributed it to some essential maintenance work. Then we noticed that our wifi connected streaming service was not showing closed captions - when we connected a cable, it was fine. Next we experienced interruptions DURING THE DAY! Covid made us both work from home.. we could not accept interruptions.. so we upgraded to Gigablast... Result: FREQUENCY OF INTERRUPTIONS INCREASED! Instead of once or twice a month, it was 3 or 4 times a week! This is about Cox and it's appalling decision to raise rates for decreased service. I have been using Cox for Internet for 6 years. I'm experiencing unreliable speeds due to increased usage resulting from COVID. That's understandable. What isn't is that my rates increased $20 in Sept. 2020 and $10 more in March 2021. I'm paying $30 more a month FOR DECREASED SERVICE. I can't even get support over the phone when I call. Decreased product, no support, and higher bills?
