We use Cox since we moved into this community ( zip code 89011), since 10/12/2021 Cox has been doing something, making the internet very slow, when I chatted with cox virtual person, it connected me to pay tech site, asking for my credit card. At that time I closed the screen..I called customer service number, it took about 45 minutes to connect to a live person, then he said " I can't heard you" then hung up on me. when I tried to use cox internet test tool, tried 3 time, but every time it said could not connect to server. it is so frustrating, Cox should announce or notify users about what was going on. Okay so I'll start it with this we ordered Cox for my mom's new apartment for two TVs last week the lady messed the order up and put one TV in after she explained the order back to me for two TVs and internet and then told my mom's social security number back to us which she also got incorrect so they came and they installed the TV yesterday and they said that there was only an order for one TV and internet when I said no it was for two TVs so when I called back today and tried to get it all taken care of he said that the social security number put in was the wrong number they messed it up by a couple digits so they had to redo the whole order and they turn the TV off and now it won't work it won't come back on the Wi-Fi is coming back on but the TV won't so we paid the extra $25 for the other TV and we just called them back and they said that there's no order for another TV after giving the $25 they can't even send a technician out today I don't know what's going on they said it can take up to 48 hours that was supposed to call me back after he turned the TV off and redid the whole order he never called me back this is a big deal they won't get it right they keep transforming me to other departments all I got to do is send out a damn technician and make it right and they still haven't done that they said you need to call the cops store back was the last phone call I had after I've been calling and dealing with them all day at this point I don't know what to do at they should have credited my mom something and have not credited her nothing at all besides for making her pay more money het names doreen blake shes disabled on a walker im extremely pissed off and itz very unprofessional read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would. I wonder why I pay so much for a service that I can barely use. Oh yeah, because where I live I can't get the other companies so I'm stuck using garbage service. I am about to call them out yet again. It will be the 8th time in 4 years. My internet ( which I have their top internet service) cuts out almost every night and since it's supposed to be the fasted and most reliable internet I can't rely on it. I can barely use the on demand service because it goes so slow and when they come out I always hear the same bs there is something interfering with the signal. Yes. Your lousy service. The store manager Brianna valdiva (had to get her name off her nametag) is extremely rude and disrespectful. Their hours are supposedly 10am-4pm and they closed earlier than 4pm. I asked her for her name and she told me I didnt need to know her name. I'm sitting here 9 months pregnant and due at anytime!! I called Cox cable to shut off my Internet service at the house and they refused to shut it off over the phone and told me I had to come into this shit hole location with a photo ID to just shut off my Internet service. I walk in on a Saturday and the line is out the door. I had to put my name down on the list and I was the 16th person in line it took almost an hour to get to the podium and I told the guy to shut off my Internet and he did it in 30 seconds. Why the hell couldn't they just do this over the phone? Nothing was in English; the place looked like an immigration office, not a Cox office. If I could zero stars or negative. Anyone new to Cocks S, BEWARE!!!!! If you could get any other service use them. If you want the bottom of the barrel that would be Cocks S. If it's free I wouldn't use them, and if you have no other choice make sure you get everything in writing with dates and the persons name and signature. Do not call the service line because the sales people will promise you but they lie. Especially if they promise you a two year fixed price. The minute your first year is up you will get a price increase, when you call to correct it they will refuse to honor the 2 year agreement. If you cancel they charge you a large cancelation fee. I dumped their equipment off and paid the fee because I do not do business with liars. I will never so business with Cocks S and even if it were free I would never go back. I doubt you will find any customer with a good thing to say about Cocks S. The industry is changing and now with Tmobile and other carriers offering home 5g there is no reason to deal with Cocks S. After reading Drew's review I remembered that I have been meaning to cancel my cable. I tried cancelling online but they instructed me to call directly. I figured since I had to drop off the box thingy, I might as well cancel in person. I came to this location about 3 years ago to rent the box and I remember it took FOREVER for someone to see me. Wow, has it changed. It is now nice and bright, and designed like a cell phone store. Instead of taking a number at the front, you provide your name and what you have come in for and then they call out your name. It took less than 2 minutes for me to be called. Once I arrived at the cashier I explained I wanted to return the box and cancel my cable. They guy said, ok no problem! I just had to sign a receipt and I was done! Nightmare. This place is WORSE than the dmv. There were 78! people ahead of me on the waiting list, a line was out the door...I had to circle around 5 times just to get a parking space. A trip to the cable store...sounds miserable. I recently switched my service from Cox because I'm a soccer fanatic and I need Fox Soccer Channel in HD. Petty? Sure, but it's one of three channels I watch. I promptly cancelled my service (which was surprisingly easy to do) and was told to drop off my box at any of their storefronts. Uh oh. My vision of this place was some dark, dingy hut (as it was with my cable company in NY) where you wait in line forever and then you get nailed with hundreds of dollars in fees. This was NOT the case... I walked in at 5:50 (it closes at 6) and not only was I not turned away, I was out of there in 10 min. FTW! The place was sooo much different than I thought. After our two year contact was up, our cable / internet went up to almost $200.00 a month!! I called COX and they would NOT work with us on price. Direct TV and Dish Network always did in the past before we moved to Las Vegas but COX in Las Vegas (Henderson) would NOT budge. I have to say Thank you however because we canceled with COX and signed up with Century Link for Internet (we are paying $50.00 / month indefinitely) and we also went with ROKU (we also have a pretty extensive DVD Library (about 300 movies since you can usually find them for $1 at garage sales). Companies don't seem to realize there are other options but it worked out because we saved about $80.00 a month over what we were previously paying (about $129.00/month) and almost $150.00 after they raised our monthly bill. It has been about 3 years and we have saved over $5,000 so far. There is always another option if you look for it. We actually watch less TV now.....another added bonus! read more

First had Cox 10 years ago and had no complaints. Started having issues, and the frequent price increases swayed me away to CenturyLink. Over time they had issues of their own with TV signals so gave Cox another chance. Big mistake cause after a year, the service was unreliable. I have had more outages than ever before. There is absolutely NO excuse for outages between 2am - 5am. I am resetting their crap modem 3-5 times daily. My alarm emails me every time the modem is out, so every day I have 1-2 emails notifying me the alarm is using my phone's hot spot. And the beauty of it is they want me to either purchase technician coverage or take a chance the issue is on their end. I am so not paying for them to come check their equipment just for them to put it on me....I have no trust in their business ethics. So I'm moving on and trying either LV.net or the new satellite internet. Both are considerably less than Cox. read more

Honestly gave up, went in to pay my internet bill months later (today) and Alonzo Hamilton not only helped me with my bill, but got my internet speeds faster than they ever have! In a few seconds, he was able to adjust my plan to my needs and save me $3 a month! This means so much especially I because I work from home so honestly the speeds have been prohibiting my work. Especially considering the fact she works for Cox, which in my opinion, is known for terrible service and screwy business practices...which was confirmed again to me today! Drove 25 minutes each way to bring a new cable box (less than 4 months old) in to exchange. However, they don't carry Contour boxes in the store, so I'm taking my box home now so I can wait for a tech agent to come to my house and hopefully replace the defective equipment. Things are never easy when dealing with Cox Cable. I think it's about time to really make the switch to one of the MANY other companies out there. This is basically for Cox as a whole. From internet/phone service, to their Homelife Security system. Not good by any means. For nearly 6 years of being a loyal, and sometimes unhappy customer, Cox dropped the ball in a huge way. I called 2 days ago to get a couple of cameras installed after a situation happened in my gated community. Since then, I have encountered laziness and unprofessional service not only from the techs, but the company overall. Apparently, one tech never got the info to set me up one day, the next day, a tech shows up and sat in his truck and accused me of not being home. That's a load of BS because I've been home. The field techs obviously have broken fingers because they either don't know how to pick up a phone to communicate, or how to ring a doorbell. It's no wonder I dropped them like a useless junkie begging for a fix. Hope Cox is happy with themselves. Not good to lose a customer at the beginning of a new year. Even by Las Vegas standards, this isn't good. Terrible service along with lazy techs. Good luck Cox with trying to screw your next customer. Guaranteed they will not be as nice as I was the phone.
