While Cox is the only Internet and cable provider locally, they're quite pricey. There are satellite Internet providers, as well as 5G Home Internet from T-Mobile and Verizon, which may or may not fit your needs. They do have several workers at the location to assist in cable, Internet, and wireless phone service. I had to drop my service because it was just not affordable. They transferred me to the retentions department to see if they could make me a better deal, so that I would remain a customer. I must say that their offers were quite enticing and locked in that rate for 2 years. I was also offered to place my account on a vacation hold. Yet, the rep said I didn't qualify for that because I had already done that. I explained to the rep that my account has never been disconnected or on a vacation hold for the 5 years that I've had the account. I think they may be looking at the address and not the individual at the address, which they should as rental properties will have different individuals including homes being purchased. Hopefully, this will be something they can resolve with their computer system. read more

It honestly felt like the process was made unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming. I stayed with Cox for years because there weren't many reliable alternatives available in my area, but now that there are other options, I decided to switch. My rating is only for this store and my experience with the associates and not about the Cox internet service that I have. When I visit this store it's always very clean and I like the self check-in which allows the staff to know what you're there for and to hopefully address some easy cases right away when it doesn't require any lengthy conversation. I will say that if there are a few people in line to see an associate, at times you can expect to wait for quite a long time. This isn't the associate's fault, it's just that some cases are quite in depth and it can unfortunately cause a long wait. I've had to visit the store to switch out some equipment and maybe I was lucky, but it was painless and quick - under 10 min. This location is by far the fastest phone store I've ever been to. Sometimes they'll even help you before you finish checking in, and if you do check in, your name is barely on the list for a few minutes before you're called. No long waits, no stress, which is rare for cell phone stores. The store itself is clean, organized, and calm, so it doesn't feel overwhelming like some other carriers' locations. They carry a wide selection of phones and accessories, so you can pretty much find anything you need for your devices here. And yes , the brand new iPhone 17 is in stock so if you've been waiting to upgrade, this is the place to grab one. The customer service is excellent. Amir helped me during the visit and he was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. There is also a self payment machine inside. Another plus is the location. It's right in the Sam's Club and Walmart shopping center, so you can easily run other errands before or after your visit. There are also plenty of restaurants around, and even a Dottie's right in front ( if you're a local who enjoys stopping in). The whole area is convenient and has everything you might need in one trip. Overall, I definitely recommend this Cox Communications store. Cox Communications is not just bad -- they are the single worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. For 72 hours I have been trapped in a nightmare of outages, lies, and outright incompetence. Their internet service collapses for two full days straight, and when you try to reach anyone for help you're met with representatives who cannot even hold a basic conversation in English. Every text, every call, every interaction feels like being punished for daring to pay them a dime. I came here to return equipment from my mom's house. I was greeted quickly and was helped in a reasonable amount of time. The employees were friendly and helped me return the items. There was a little confusion when I asked for a printed receipt. There were other customers in there, most seemed happy. One couple had a story to tell and it felt like they were in a car dealership not a cox store. lol Overall the staff were friendly, the service was quick and I got what I needed accomplished. read more

We recently relocated to the Las Vegas area and had a couple of options for high-speed internet providers: Quantum Fiber and Cox Cable. After experiencing the frustrating lack of customer service from Quantum Fiber, I'm going to save you the headache and strongly recommend going with Cox Cable. Cox Cable has a physical store where you can actually talk to customer service representatives. For instance, we walked in on a Monday, and by Wednesday morning, a support technician was at our house. He was friendly and took the time to answer all our questions while explaining the service we would be receiving. On the flip side, Quantum Fiber lacks a physical presence. Their customer service agents promise to help set up your internet, but they don't follow through. Although they have technicians available, scheduling any installation turns into a frustrating ordeal filled with vague information. We were told that issues needed escalation, leading to two to three days of waiting without any progress on getting a technician scheduled. When I called Quantum on July 7 and paid the $80 fee, I never imagined that by August 5, we would still have no account set up or a technician booked. Despite making multiple calls throughout July to check on the status of our installation, the customer service team failed to provide any resolution and kept insisting that they needed to escalate our situation to another department. We were promised a call from a manager, which never came. It's hard to believe Quantum Fiber has any satisfied customers given their level of service. Cox is a terrible company that treats their customers poorly to say the least. I switched to Starlink and am saving 59 bucks a month. I called Cox to cancel my internet and they wouldn't do it ! They kept asking me questions why, what rate you have, how can we change your mind . 2 days I called 2 times and both representatives were the same. Changing the subject and refusing to cancel. I finally stopped auto pay ,and took the router into the store. The kid there was nice and friendly and cancelled it but I should have been able to do it by phone. read more

This has to be the most incompetent company and staff in the state of Nevada. Our bill went from $52 to $80 to $140 (because of promotions)... we spend a week and about 11-12 calls getting the bill down to $90 for two years, we even made a payment at that amount. Come to find out they just added a "one time" discount to get to the $90 just to get us off the phone and the bill went back up to $140 the following month. Justin from customer service, is horrible as well and he's not even at the physical location. I've dealt with 1-2 incompetent people before at a company, but not 7-8 of them all from the same company. Everyone should cancel their service here and drive them bankrupt. read more

I've been having the worst time since November trying to fix a situation with the call center that could never get it right. After literally 20 phone calls I finally figured out that my birthdate was wrong 1998 when it was suppose to be 1988. The call center couldn't even change the year, so I chose to take things into my own matter and go to a store front. This location is the closest to my house. The best Cox location I've ever been to. I came into this store to return my WiFi router and accessories. Bradford helped me and made the process as easy as possible. He was very nice! I called a week later to make sure it was in their system that my items were returned (I always like to double check). I spoke with Travis on the phone & he verified everything was good on their end. Surprisingly, I walked right in to the store and was helped immediately. I needed to pick up an updated modem that was supposed to ship, but for some reason the modem was never added to the cart and an email was sent a week later stating there was a problem with my order and to contact customer service. I got the new modem, and went home and set it all up. Good to go. The only issue here is having to jump A few hoops and the pricing is out of this world. This company has zero ethics. They are charging us just shy of $200 a month for internet only. Our original price was around $120, but they just kept increasing. We went in to see if we could get it lowered and were told that because we're not in a competitive neighborhood, they wouldn't be able to do anything unless we bundled a wireless service with them and signed a 3 year contract. So basically, they can but won't lower the cost. Also, because they don't yet have competition in our area (literally one neighborhood over is competative), they can charge whatever they want...just gouging for the sake of it. There is the ability to price fairly, but they're not interested because they know we're stuck. Other providers are charging about $50- $70 for the exact same service. It's absolutely insane. Go through Welink or Verizon if it's available to you. People rave about them. Cox? Outages that they blame on equipment when per their own website is widespread. I am out of patience. They should be regulated and held accountable. Genuinely zero ethics. The associate helping us was fine. She actually agreed with us that we were paying too much....until we told her we weren't interested in a bundle. Then it was "Well, our service is the best, so thats what it costs." I know she has to stick to the company line because that's her job, but ma'am, you also know it's outrageous pricing. Take care of your customers and they'll stay loyal. COX sucks and so does employee Jason. We suddenly lost cable and internet. The app and web site bounced me back & forth then recommended a free tech service call but it wouldn't let me complete the scheduling. So I visited this COX office the next day. Jason wanted $100 for a service call and I can then call billing to reverse. No thanks. I asked him why COX can't just go verify there is signal coming from them at the curb, like other utilities. Jason said they don't have easy access to that. (?!) I also swapped the cable box while I was there because of frequent pixelation, even on rewind and playback, so maybe a bad video buffer? I called cust support and she said there is a possible $75 for visit that day, depending what they find. Matt from AceComm showed up and he showed me that COX had already disconnected service at the curb! There was an orange INGRESS tag. We were not contacted and Jason hadn't said anything. Matt re-terminated a connection and everything is fine now. He said he has seen this before where service is pulled with no notification and sometimes the fault can't be duplicated. After dealing with several call centers in third world hell holes and completely useless online chats I was finally able to upgrade my service after several on site tech visits. Now it was time to return both my modem/router and a useless "pod" I was told to buy for $129.00. I had visions of a completely crazy sh*tshow when I went to a Cox store today. I got there a few minutes before opening. Boy was I Surprised! The store opened and there were 5-6 customer service reps lined up to help the first batch of us. Nicole S was my customer service rep. She listened to my tale of woe, logged in my modem and router and took my pod as well. She was pleasant and professional Wow, what a surprise!. Got a receipt, and was out of the store in 15-20 minutes. Got home and saw an email from Cox thanking me for returning equipment, but it only reflected the modem. Maybe the pod since it was a purchase would show up as a credit later. Bottom line, a pretty good experience with live humans here in LV. Quick and easy visit. I was just stopping by to drop off old equipment. I signed in upon entry and waited about 10 minutes. I was then greeted, turned my equipment in and out the door. I've been having trouble with my router that I bought from here and decided to call to get help. I called about 15 times from 10:30am to 11:30am and did not get 1 call back or anyone to answer. When buying my router as well they convinced me to buy a newer model and made it seem as if it was a way better system than my old one which is obviously not true. It shuts off randomly and the box stays white. I'll be in the middle of a work meeting and it'll disconnect from my devices and resetting does nothing. Anytime I've called this store for help it has always been after 10am and I never get a response. If you say online you're open at 10am, then you should answer the phone. read more

Purchased 1 gig of WiFi. Received 30 -90 megs. They want me to pay for 1 gig. They shut off the service and won't come fix the issue which is a known issue in the neighborhood. The issue is not a personal (my home) tech issue. They have antiquated lines and won't update them but will sell you a service they can't provide. Just finished up at this COX office after being helped by Esmeralda. This review is specifically for her though I have never had any issues with this location. She's so amazing and wonderful and was just a joy. Her customer service is just out of this world. She took the time to patiently explain my overage charges and what to expect on my next bill, the new plan I was requesting, and explaining how to connect my new updated modem. She took the time to add my roommate to our account and explain how to use COX hot spots and how to download the McAfee software that is included in our plan. Their internet is the best available. Their TV services are the worst. They are continually raising rates. They raised it twice so far within a year. They are now pushing a few dollars savings if you lock into a 2 year contract. My guess is they are facing competition such as T-MOBILE and maybe others.
