I've been dining in 53 countries and every USA state for 20 years. And at Coynes for 5 years. Never a problem. Never an issue. I went to Happy Hour with my wife after 5 years of dining. Although we ate appetizers and dinner. I've never been so embarrassed at dinner with my wife. After 20 years of dinners, we were "cut off" by our waitress and the manager for reasons unknown. When I spoke to Jaime, she had no reasons other than "I made the decision". No evidence, no further explanation, no logic attached to the managerial comment. I noted that the table next to us had 7 full drinks, unattended. Jaime noted that she would "look into it " I've never been so profiled, by looks or race, ever in my life. In these days of CoVid, I dine on patios. This was my second time at Coyne's. Food arrives as ordered; it is quite tasty. The patio unfortunately is very noisy with patrons who behave like they are attending a football game instead of a restaurant. Do not expect to hold a casual conversation with friends since you cannot hear their voices. read more

We really enjoyed the happy hour!! We ordered the Ahi Nachos, Brisket tacos (4), and the peanut butter jumbo bowl. All three were super amazing and large portions...and would order again! If you have sensitive ears or would like to hear your own conversation, avoid this place at all costs. It's obnoxiously loud I think because like most new places in the Treasure Valley, the ceilings are very high causing a terrible echo. Yikes, what a loud nightmare!!!! At least the music wasn't blaring which was different . Sadly, yet another new establishment in the Treasure Valley I will not be spending a couple hundred dollars for dinner. Wanted to try the food but the bartender was distracted and slow. No one in the place, waited 15 minutes for a salad. Decided it was not worth the wait, drove over to rib shack. This a very nice looking restaurant in a modern building with very nice indoor and patio seating areas. It has a comfortable, but upscale, feel, and the prices are very reasonable for this style of restaurant. It was unfortunate that the front desk and table service was slow and spotty. It took 10-15 minutes just to pay the check or get drink refills. The pesto chicken was ok, but nothing special, and the fries were cold. The peri peri chicken was very good, with flavorful heat and it was a large portion. I was looking forward to the gumbo, but it was excessively salty - almost too salty to eat. Overall it is a nice restaurant setting with a good looking menu, mediocre service, and mediocre food execution. We keep coming here because we LOVE the patio view! Most of the food we have had has been good (nothing out of this world, but good) and I will say the drinks are wonderful. Highly recommend happy hour! Here is where they lose a star for us and will lose more if it continues to happen. We are almost always forgotten... Each time we have sat on the patio (all but one time), we have sat and watched others get seated and orders taken for 15+ minutes without a single soul looking our way. We always have to pull someone over and ask for a server. Last night was no exception and I finally caught the eye of Brittney and she was so sweet to immediately take our orders and service was perfect from there. The weird part is that some older woman who was serving on the patio suddenly started checking on us toward the end and handled our bill for us (despite the fact that Brittney was also always checking in with us regularly). We felt awkward when Brittney came to handle our bill but we had already done so with the other lady -- here is hoping that our tip went to the correct server!! Coyne's has a beautiful, modern environment with high ceilings and great ventilation. Staff was all masked, which was nice. They have a robust menu with options for all- I will definitely go back to try new things. They have a reasonably priced wine list of nice quality. They also have a full bar. We went to Coyne's for a special birthday celebration and were not disappointed! Our server, Kelsi, was fantastic! She made some suggestions, including our appetizers of the Beet & Chevre Salad, Tuna Napoleon and Caprese Toast. All were served with a beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious. Nice environment, patio outside looked fabulous, but we dined indoors. Service was friendly and attentive. Helpful answering questions. Cocktails were absolutely deicious. The bread and butter was wonderful while we waited for our meals. I could have eaten that sweet butter with a spoon! For our entrees, we ordered the Waygu Short Rib Colorado & Shrimp Papperdelle. The short ribs were good, but the smashed potato was nothing exciting. Shrimp was very good, although it didn't seem to us that they were tiger shrimp as indicated the menu. The snap peas in the dish were incredible but the sauce was not as expected. It was described in the menu as coconut-chile sauce, but it was all coconut and no chile. I had hoped for a bit spice and heat and it waa definitely lacking. We also tried the flourless chocolate torte, as that's my husband's fave dessert. The torte itself had good flavor but the texture was a bit off. The sauce tasted like balsamic and was overpowering to the rest of the dessert. Based on the delicious cocktails, we will likely return for another try with some different dishes, maybe at Happy Hour. read more

First time visit to Coyne's here in Eagle, Idaho. We went to celebrate accomplishments of two of our sales consultants. We enjoyed the guacamole with the thin cut potato wedges... delicious. One had the club which was amazing. Another has the steak tacos which were also amazing. I enjoyed the fig and truffle burger and I can declare without reservation that it was the best burger in my life. The fig and bacon jam, the Kobe beef, the truffles cheddar and mushrooms, and brioche bun were perfection. I wanted to hug the chef, Sean Smith, but settled for a handshake. Fantastic!!! read more

Good food, but when I tried to reserve the meeting room for our 20-member RV group monthly meeting and was told there would be a $200 rental fee! Most every other restaurant in the area offers their meeting rooms to us for free. I was binging them 18 new prospective customers, and they insisted I pay the $200 to rent the meeting room! Started off great but after 2 hours were rudely asked to leave because there were reservations at our table, but there were easily 5-6 other open 4 top tables at 7 pm, plus many other open tables. Apparently they have a 2.25 hour limit even when no one is there. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant like that when obviously enjoying our time with family. So once you are done eating do not expect to be able to relax. Will definitely reconsider visiting there again. read more

This restaurant is overrated. Of the 5 adult dinners, three were acceptable, one was marginal--not tasty, and don't bother ordering steaks. They are very choice or super cheap prime, thinly cut--at best 1/2", and the kitchen can't cook to mediurm rare and when you request a one minute additional per side, forget that they microwaved it. I had to send it back 2x, watching our guests completely finish their dinners while I kept waiting for mine. Net, avoid the steaks at all costs, not worth it. read more
