This spot is THE spot for a lazy Sunday (or any day) breakfast. A few blocks from the beach and on PCH! Its no frills but they have the most wonderful staff and their food is so, so good and it sticks to your ribs! I had the Greek scramble and my S.O. had the country fried steak... everything was delicious. The highlight for me was the magical green salsa that is on the table. They make it on premises. The salsa kicks your butt but I did slathered it all over my scramble. The people running the show are super kind! We will be back!!!!!!!!!!! read more

A HIDDEN GEM!! This breakfast spot indeed lives up to its name and felt cozy, but in the best way possible. Felt so friendly and homey with all the comfort foods for an early morning. There are 3 areas you can sit-the counter, a separate indoor seating area, and outdoors. The service was so attentive. Our waiter and waitress checked in on us multiple times even though we were seated outside. It was our first time here and we tried the Greek deluxe and gaucho. Both had different flavor profiles but were soooo good. Honestly for great portions of yummy food at a reasonable price, we will most definitely be returning. read more

If you're looking for great breakfast food at a local mom and pop shop PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO COME HERE!!! Everything offered here is just as tasty and amazing as it looks and sounds the customer service is exceptional and most of all you're supporting a local restaurant that deserves it all. It is super cozy inside but they also have outdoor seating for those busier days. Came in on a Tuesday at around 12:00pm and left at about 1:15pm and everything was so fast my boyfriend and I were so satisfied and would 1000% come back here for another meal. We had the huevos rancheros (super delicious) banana pancakes (super moist and delicious) combo the bacon was cooked to absolute perfection and we also had the French toast combo (also very delicious) we also had the coffee and it was also so good definable needed as a good afternoon pick me up. The pricing was great as I believe the total came around to about $56 dollars (not including the tip.) which in this economy is not bad at all!! The owners were so sweet and so humble and made our experience here one I wouldn't forget. I regret not getting any pictures of our meal but WE EAT FIRST NOT THE CAMERA!! Cozy Cafe is a small family run breakfast/lunch spot with big flavor and a fairly extensive menu. From Greek omelettes to burgers, the Cozy Cafe has you covered! This awesome family run restaurant takes pride in every dish that leaves its kitchen. The chef, Carlos, makes it a point to visit every table to ensure his customer's satisfaction. He truly takes pride in his cooking. For breakfast, I usually get one of Carlos' signature omelettes, which include a Greek omelette loaded with feta; Denver omelette, or his chorizo omelette. They are very flexible and accommodating, especially with substitutions like egg whites. Most of the Egg breakfasts come with your choice of home fries or hash browns and choice of toast. For brunch/lunch, I prefer their grilled veggie burger on rye bread. Honestly, it's like a patty melt... so incredibly good. A lot of my buddies were reluctant in trying the veggie burger. However, once they tried it, they were hooked and it's now their staple lunch choice! Their hours are from 6:30am to 2pm. They have limited outdoor seating. We arrived about 8:30 AM on a Sunday and there was ample seating for us, a party of 2. We were greeted by a young man "Jesus" and seated with our drinks to come soon after. I came in alone for a breakfast around noon today, Wednesday after the heat wave. Tables set up outside in a small parking lot with nobody there and so I went inside hoping it wouldn't be too hot without AC. It wasn't so bad as it was 69 degrees outside. No flies like another reported. There was just one person eating at the counter. Old Greek guy comes out and asks if it's my first time to Cozy's and I say yes, he welcomes me big. I came in for Greek feta cheese and spinach omelette or scramble. I asked was the Greek feta really robust and flavorful. Yes yes yes big time! Ok. Comes with home fries and toast. He took the order but a woman brought over my toast before the food. That came out very soon after though. At least three times he came to me while I was eating to ask me how much I liked it. I said it was very good because I just wanted him to leave me alone to eat and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. But no. He did seem disappointed I only wanted water but that's what I drink, no matter how many times he's going to ask. I found I had to put a lot of salt on the potatoes and eggs. I had been lying to him about liking it. The feta was a mild, rather tasteless cheese that didn't melt and the eggs were supposed to be scrambled but they were grilled flat and flipped omelette style. Rather dry. The potatoes were cut or more diced small with no taste. It was edible but not great like reviews here might lead you to believe. I had to ask for my check though I was the only one now in the place and more of the questions, did I like cozy's? Will I be coming back? Too much talk, really. He gives me a barely legible check I give my card then ask him why is it so much? $17.95 for a $13.50 dish. He say"oh, sorry. It happens. I made a mistake. You want me to just keep it or you want me to give you your money back?" Check your bill. I now see past reviews of people complaining about being overcharged. Friendly old man. Blah blah. I'm still not sure he charged me right because he wouldn't let me see the slip and personally, I was becoming very annoyed with him. Refunding me with lots of pennies yet. No Cozy, I will not becoming back. Your place is not cozy and the pestering "friendly" ambience was more than I could bear. I know, like you told the other guy who complained about being overcharged more than 30 times on his cc bill, "I cannot come back in your restaurant ". I say, "Thank you again. The Greek Deluxe is 3 scrambled eggs with gyro, feta cheese, spinach, mushroom (which I asked to leave out), & tzatziki sauce and a side of home fries. It was delicious and full of flavor. I added some hot sauce to spice it up. The Cozy Cafe is on a main street, so I found parking down a smaller street a block away. The service was efficient. I newly moved to the area and have been searching for a new local spot to get my Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, tried a couple of places before this and was a little nervous about brown gravy instead of country gravy on a CFS but after having it this way I don't know if I could go back, the best CFS I've ever had. The environment of this place really is cozy, the inside is just a counter top that sits maybe 12 people total the kitchen is visible and the wonderful man making the wonderful food can be seen cooking it!
