Excellent place for breakfast if you're hungry. The staff are great and friendly. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. There's usually a bit of a wait, but I never had to wait more than 15 minutes. The food is relatively great if you remember you're in a breakfast place so you should not expect a gourmet type meal. Solid breakfast fair (haven't tried lunch or dinner) and very reasonably priced. Nothing fancy or super creative, but when you want an OK cup of diner coffee, solid eggs/pancakes/etc, and a wide variety of options for under $10 this is a good spot to go. Gets VERY crowded at the usual times so keep that in mind, as there is not really a waiting area or extensive lot parking space so plan ahead. The waitresses are pleasantly snarky and will tell you where to stick it when you deserve it :) Service was fast and friendly, even if the place is packed. And while we certainly moved out as soon as we were done to allow all the people waiting to be seated, we never felt like they were hustling us out. There was booth seating, some tables, a counter service. So, definitely pretty typical diner. Now, to the important bits, the FOOD. I had a skillet, which was generously heaped with everything - fresh veggies, perfectly cooked ham, not too much potato and perfectly cooked eggs. Pancakes were fluffy, buttery and perfect. Very average diner, with average diner food. Nothing wrong with that; this is what they claim to be, the food tastes good and the portions are acceptable, but the prices are $2-$3 higher than where they need to be for what you're getting. If you come on a weekend and aren't alone, prepare for wait times exceeding 45 minutes (you must be present to be seated), and a line out the door, which can be really annoying in the winter. I often come alone, and thus can snag a single stool at the counter ~90% of the time. The staff is excellent and serves / busses as fast as they can, but for some reason this place is always PACKED between 10 and 3, even with better breakfast / brunch food for the same (or lower) prices right across the street at the far less crowded Moran's or Logan Bar. read more

I had rode past a few Cozy Corner Restaurants and read some good reviews about this place. So, me and a longtime friend decide to meet up on yesterday for breakfast. The parking lot is kind small which makes it very difficult to get in and out of a parking space. It is located at the corner in Logan Square. I guess it's a popular neighbor location to come and eat breakfast with your family or friends. We were instantly greeted and seated at a nice table by the window. Our server Enrique came over with glasses of ice water. Cool. I asked him to bring us some coffee to get our morning started off right. We waited and waited and waited. Finally, he comes back to our table empty handed asking to take our order. Ummmm. Ok I politely asked again for coffee and he ran off to get us a fresh pot of coffee. We placed our order and was ready for some girl's talk and good breakfast to fill our stomachs. I noticed that the silverware was dirty and I asked Enrique to bring us some more silverware. He came back with another set of silverware only to find that set dirty as well. What the heck is going on? Is the dishwasher broken. Again, I requested another set of silverware I guess that's when the attitude brew up in our server. I did not care because who wants to eat off anything dirty and unclean. By, that time our food was coming to the table. Let me tell you the breakfast was amazingly delicious. It came out hot and cooked just the way I like my food to be. I had no problem with my food or coffee. It was our server. He never came back to our table to refill our coffee cups. I had to wave down another server to ask could we get a refill. Poor customer service. We had to ask for more napkins because we were only giving one. Once we were done and headed for the cashier to check out. Who do we see up in the front just standing by the door? Enrique. Just standing there waiting to greet incoming customers. I'm not sure if he has multiple jobs tasks but I found it rude and very unprofessional for a server to run off and leave his area to go and greet. I've been here a few times and it's one of my favorite breakfast options in area. I've tried several different omelettes and all have been very on point and filling. They're generous with avocado if you order an omelette that comes with it, which is a major plus for me. Additionally, for my fellow hot sauce lovers, they have a solid selection including both red and green Cholula and the classic red tabasco. It wasn't until my second or third visit that I noticed they have great discounts on a variety of options if you get there before 9am. I ordered an omelette and coffee and my bill was only a tad over $11! Like many Chicagoland breakfast spots, they offer the option to take pancakes instead of toast at no additional cost. Their pancakes are solid, not the most amazing ever, but they're certainly not disappointing. There are a few minor areas where they could improve (syrup could be better and the potatoes could be a little more consistent) but at the price point, and in this area, I feel they deserve 5 stars. If I could change anything about this restaurant it would be that they'd be open later. It would be fantastic as a late night post bar hopping spot and I would imagine they'd do strong business at night. read more

Cozy Corner is a neighborhood diner but is far beyond just your Place around the Corner to catch a bite. The food here is on par with just about any High Prices Fancy Breakfast Club. Growing up in NJ, I was surrounded by diners, so they have a special place in my heart. Cozy Corner answers all my diner needs, especially in Logan Square. I specially like their California melt, But you can't go wrong with anything on the menu for sure! Not only that but the servers are super friendly and services quick and delicious. While I was there, the manager even offered some of her own special lunch Brito to one of the guests. It was the most wholesome thing I had ever seen. I literally would give this place 10 stars just for that, the five stars will do! If you live in Logan Square, definitely stop by sometime whether it's the weekend or during the week day for lunch. This is one of my favorites places to have breakfast at. There is several locations but I've only visited this one. The customer service is always great. I usually have to wait to be seated but I joined the waitlist VIA Yelp and was seated as soon as I got to the restaurant. This place gets crowded fast and the waiting area is very small so I'd suggest joining the waitlist list ahead of time. The parking lot is very small but there is street parking available for another $2 an hour. The pancakes are delicious... I love them. My favorite is the lemon berry pancakes. read more

Came here on a Sunday this time and it was busy. The parking lot was full as well, but managed to park in about five minutes. After about twenty minutes we got seated and our server came around fast to get our order. She didn't give her name but she was pleasant and accurate. We've lived near Cozy Corner for about 5 years, and for some reason only went there for the first time a few months ago. And boy, were we missing out! Cozy Corner is FABULOUS. Every menu item I've had there is fantastic, the staff is attentive, and the service is super fast. It's amazing. We usually hop on to Waitlist from our apartment and then start walking over and are seated shortly after we arrive (it's almost always packed, but that's because of how great it is). (One note -- if you are planning on driving, be aware that their parking lot is REALLY SMALL. If you can take transit or walk, I'd recommend it.) Cozy Corner is awesome.
