Tankless water heater stopped working. Not an "emergency emergency", but an emergency. Put out a request for quote. CHS responded quickly, got a knowledgeable tech out the next day to troubleshoot thoroughly, and kept me informed along the way. He was able to reset the system so we could get some hot water and made arrangements to get replacement parts ordered since our water heater was not operating within specifications (it had been making some weird noises for months), and there was no guarantee that the problem would not occur again. He returned at the first possible opportunity to do a quick installation and we were off and running. I'm not sure how CHS' prices compare, but given the circumstances and the timeliness and quality of work, I was very pleased. I would definitely consider them for future HVAC, Water Heater needs. read more

Jeff was our technician - for an AC system not cooling - suspecting a refigerant leak. He was able to quickly asses our system and provide multiple paths forward. Was very clear that some options were not 100% - but from his experience was confident where the trouble would most likely be found. Quickly able to schedule followup appoint to start approved work - during work was able to find evidense of leak - leading to more conifdense that root issue had been found and corrected. He worked efficiently always explaining what he found and next steps and took care to keep work areas clean. While we beleive he found the root cause and we won't need his services again anytime soon, Jeff will always be welcome back to our home. This is part 1 of our review of Cozy Home Services, as we've contracted with them to do a whole house project, including solar and conversion of our HVAC to a hybrid system. Yesterday, they converted our HVAC system into a hybrid system that uses 80% electricity/20% gas. The whole process with Jason and Cozy has been very seamless and informative. I actually got to speak with Jason, the owner, so that was something I appreciated. He has answered all of my random text questions as this was one of the biggest investments in our home that we could make. I listened to multiple solar pitches, but I got the best 'gut feeling' from Cozy. On top of that, they were able to do everything as we wanted to future proof our home. He was transparent with pricing and super detailed. I signed the contract on Wednesday and they were at my house to start the HVAC conversion on Monday! Antonio and Derek did the HVAC install and conversion, and were super nice and respectful. They always communicated with me, taught me how to use the new smart thermostat, and triple checked to make the system was working correctly. We already notice a difference in performance. My air conditioning system broke down during the latest heat wave, Cozy was the only company that answered the phone on the first try and was able to schedule an appt quickly. Jason was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained what he was doing while troubleshooting. He diagnosed the problem, installed new parts and got our AC running again at a much lower cost than others quoted. He also loaned us portable room AC units to help with the heat as an unexpected but greatly appreciated bonus. We liked the guy who came to talk to us about heat pumps a lot and thought he had excellent ideas. However, although they said they could also do the electrical panel upgrade, they never sent any one out to bid that out. After a few weeks, i called and they said they were too busy to do it but would be happy to work with another electritian (but had no recommend). Later, I talked to the owner about the HEEHRA rebates (late in 2022). He was pretty sure that any work done in 2022 would be covered, but was 100% sure that work done in 2023 would be. And he was 100% wrong, and, because, based on that advice, we went ahead and installed the systems, we are now down about $12,000 that we had banked on getting (we are highish-low-income and would never have gone ahead with this without the rebates!). Be sure you do your OWN research about the terrible, slow implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act before you take the plunge! read more

We had our HVAC system system replaced which was a great experience (professional crew, super nice and were able to do it quickly with no mess behind). What impressed me most was a few months later it randomly stopped working on a 95 degree day, we have a baby so that was starting to warm up and we were a bit freaked out, called Cozy and Jason saved the day, turns out it was a minor fix (some drainage had gotten clogged, triggering a safety shut off). Count not recommend Cozy Home Services more. It started out with a great conversation with the owner where I told him my issues, and how no HVAC person had been able to figure out why our unit wasn't blowing very hard. Jeff (the tech who came out) went into the addict and within 20 minutes diagnosed and fixed the problem. The system has been set up wrong initially and he just had to switch a few wires and change the settings. I signed up for their $29 a month (they also have a $9 a month too) service and now I don't have to worry about a thing. I also got a quote for a bunch of other stuff (air filtration and what not) and when I get to it, I definitely will. I am waiting on a few of the plumbing quotes as well as the attic fan, but I'm sure they will be on their way soon! I finally found by go-to HVAC people and I have a feeling they're going to get more business in our neighborhood as well! read more
