Recently went while my sister was in town and I'll say that the staff were extremely friendly, the prices were fair but the seasoning is lacking. We ordered a dozen oysters and a pound of crawfish. The crawfish were lacking flavor that we asked for seasoning but the thing about crawfish is the seasoning takes place during the soak so it's not like you can sprinkle a little flavor onto them to make them better. Also not a fan that corn and taters don't come with the crawfish but that's just me. I'd come back and eat an oyster and sit on the patio should I come back but there are so many places you can get this that this shouldn't be an issue.

    Catfish

I placed a pickup order and although the food was hot when we got home it was DISGUSTING. I paid $72 dollars for 2 orders of the seafood hush puppies, 2 orders of the chicken and sausage gumbo and 2 orders of the Shucks fried catfish with fries and red beans n rice. The catfish is definitely swai or tilapia. The breading wasn't crispy and it was sweet, it was honestly just gross. The fries were undercooked and unseasoned. The regular hush puppies were extremely dry and the seafood ones just didn't taste good and they had no cornbread in them. They might as well just call them fried seafood balls. The gumbo was nasty and bland. First and last time trying them. Nobody even ate but a few bites of their food. $72 down the drain and I'm still hungry. I literally felt sick eating this because of the taste.

    Blackened chicken Cajun Alfredo pasta

Went Sunday for lunch. Not crowded. Not smoky as some reviews say. Great service. Had the blackened chicken Cajun Alfredo pasta, so good!

Red beans and rice add a little hot sauce and you can't go wrong. Kudos for this.

Recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Y'all idk who makes the burgers but I've been addicted every since I had one lol

It came in the two separate containers and thankfully i had my own to put them together. Thanks to them for wrapping my bread separately.

I got the gumbo. And it's just OK. I feel like the flavor needs some salt or something and the rice was completely wrong.

Love this neighborhood spot for good food and great spirits. Cold drinks and crispy cat fish nuggets. Kelsey is an amazing mixologist.

I sampled. Cajun Carnival. $15 I believe. Red beans and rice Shrimp étouffée Cajun Alfredo pasta Gumbo Jambalaya I had to use a lot of the seasoning provided on the table. Gumbo was my favorite of the 5. Followed by the Cajun Alfredo pasta. Then jambalaya, shrimp étouffée, and red beans and rice (bland). I would order something different next time. I just wanted to try all of them. It's a little crowded on the inside at this SNJ. Bathroom was hot. Staff friendly. PETS are allowed outdoors. I saw a couple of dogs. Live music on Fridays. Open mic and karaoke on certain days! I'll be back. Prob order some pasta this time

They utilize team approach where someone else brought the drinks and food runners brought the food. Manager checked on us to make sure everything was good. Our water glasses were never empty. I ordered a Bloody Mary that they returned with a shrimp and celery stick. Nice touch. I specifically went here to try their soft shell crab and it did not disappoint. Others in the party had lobster rolls and the fried shrimp basket. I forgot to mention that we had the appetizers , crab hush puppies and fried oysters and both were excellent. We also tried the bread pudding and key lime pie for dessert that we really liked. Overall we would definitely return.

The mocktail was delicious. Our crab fingers appetizers were in a tasty sauce. The salad could've used more flavor to it and fresher lettuce, but i appreciated the amount of Parmesan cheese on top. I personally thought the presentation of the salmon was too much and a bit odd. I wish there was more sauce (or at least a side of sauce). The risotto was too bland, but the brussel sprouts were tasty and lemony. The salmon had a great crust, but it was too undercooked for me and wasn't the best salmon I've had. The filet mignon was ordered medium rare, but too us it seemed a lot more rare and wasn't seasoned well. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Our server was kind and helpful.

She brought great vibes and was nothing but sweet and attentive the whole dinner. 100/10 Let's jump into the food portion! ***Starters:*** Avocado dip - DELICIOUS! This had a lot more flavor than what we expected and the homemade chips made it the perfect appetizer. 10/10 Rainbow Sushi Roll - this was also great. The roll tasted fresh, but it is on the spicer side so don't order unless you can handle some heat. 9/10 ***Entrees:*** I got the Beverly salad and subbed my shrimp for seared ahi. According to our waitress, she said the receipt would reflect the Seared Tuna salad since there is an upcharge for the substitution but the food came out just like I ordered. My salad was fresh, bright and didn't leave me feeling heavy. 10/10 My cousin ordered the Maple Salmon. I believe the waitress said they now use gochujang sauce instead of maple. My cousin really enjoyed her meal and said she would definitely order it again. 10/10 The bachelorette ordered the steak frites, she ordered it to be cooked medium but it came out a bit more rare than she preferred. She still ate it as is and said it was tender and flavorful. 9/10 Lastly we ordered the lobster mac, this was sooooo good! The mac was runnier than I would like but the taste made up for it. I would order it again. 9.5/10

We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Truluck's last night. From the first sip of the Single Barrel Old Fashioneds to the last bite of dessert, every part of the evening exceeded expectations. We started with the Salt & Pepper Calamari, and after my first bite I literally said, "Oh my God." It may have been the best calamari I've ever had. The combination of blistered shishito peppers, red Fresno peppers, basil, sweet chili glaze, and dynamite aioli created an incredible balance of flavors with just the right amount of heat and crunch. An absolute culinary orgasm. For my entrée, I had the Redfish Pontchartrain with shrimp, crawfish, piquant Creole sauce, and rice pilaf. The fish was perfectly cooked; tender, flaky, and complemented by a sauce that delivered just the right amount of spice without overpowering the dish. My girlfriend ordered the Scallop & Shrimp Sauté over Florentine cauliflower rice with lemon vinaigrette. The scallops and shrimp were cooked flawlessly, tender and buttery, and she couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. We finished by sharing the carrot cake. Between the rich cream cheese icing, spicy pecans, and warm butterscotch sauce poured over the top, it was decadent without being overly sweet. Smooth, crunchy, rich, and absolutely unforgettable. Our server, Paloma, was exceptionally warm, personable, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. She anticipated what we needed before we had to ask, making an already wonderful meal even more enjoyable. The bar is beautifully designed, our booth offered a fantastic view of the city, and the overall atmosphere struck the perfect balance between elegant and comfortable. Truluck's delivered one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived there around 9:40PM, June 27, 2026, from AT&T stadium. I was glad it opened until 11PM because it was Saturday. My wife found this restaurant in Red Notes(Chinese social media). The menu even glowed by itself when I opened it. I chose the $59 three course menu, Little Gem Caesar Salad, 6OZ filet mignon, with side dishes, parmesan mashed potatoes, lemon-garlic butter, and dessert was Petit Key Lime Pie. Eric was the waitor, they even splitted the portion evenly, how thoughtful. Eric even said have a safe trip home. I also picked Expresso Martini, I was kind of cocktail lover, as driving in China, I was not allowed to have a bit of alcohol. They were not many customers on second floor, and all of them were party group or something. We ate no seafood in the seafood restaurant.
