Food: 3.5/5 It was tough rating the food because I could tell the flavor was there, but it was just cold (as if the food had been sitting out for some time). The first order of calamari we actually had to send back because it was so cold. They came back with a fresh batch and that was a LOT better. However, then my tacos came out cold and I just didn't feel like waiting for my food given how long we'd already had to wait. Truly the flavor is there, so it would probably have been better had they not been so busy. I loved the mango salsa on the grouper tacos. Definitely get them blackened. Ambiance: 3/5 Really good for people watching if you're sitting outside and near the sidewalk. It was a little cold outside and although they had heat lamps, I still couldn't feel any of the heat from the lamps & neither could the people I was sitting with. I really wish they had some TVs out there especially on the weekends when there's games on. Me and my wife frequent here when family comes in town. Every time we eat here we leave happy. The blue margaritas are my favorite. Me and my kid love the Chicken Alfredo but of course the Crab legs are soooo good, and the butter sauce. My wife got the Lobster a few months ago and it was HUGE! Crabby's is a must do anytime you visit the gulf coast. We've been to three locations and all three have been fantastic. The crab legs were dusted in old bay and grilled quickly after being steamed. I've never had them cooked that way before but it was incredible. The service was second to none, the patio right next to the main drag in Clearwater Beach provided some great entertainment. I went to this location for the first time on a Saturday evening. It's a very corporate styled version of the Crabby's that I'm familiar with on Saint Pete Beach. We sat at the bar on the top level to have dinner. I had a wine and a short rib entrée. The side I chose was the creamed corn with bacon. The creamed corn with bacon was mid (Average). The short rib entrée which came with cheese grits was over salted and did not taste good to me at all. The texture of the short rib meat was cubed and did not fall apart (not easily cut without a knife or excessive force with the fork) I forced myself to have a few bites, but ultimately had to turn the meal away. After I complained about not enjoying the meal, they took the mostly full plate away. They still charged us the $24.99 on the bill. The only thing saving this from a one star is the fact that we were able to get immediate seating at the bar on the third level and the staff service was OK. Now, I understand that tourist food is not usually as good as food we have in the local area, but I couldn't even pretend to like it. I hope this restaurant can recognize that and do a bit better. read more

Freakin delicious! Lol we were on vacation and saw this place as we were walking by so we decided to try it. I had the bairdi crab and my husband had the Cajun Alfredo. We both loved our meals. So much flavor! They know how to season food at Crabby's. Also I don't remember the name of our waitress but she was phenomenal! Fast service and she noticed I was missing crab crackers without me saying anything. Although maybe it's because she saw me cracking crab legs with my bare hands (my father was a commercial fisherman so I'm a pro haha). It wasn't cheap to eat here (current market price was 65 for my 1.5 pounds of crab legs) but it was worth every penny! read more

It's an okay place. It doesn't help that we were there when a strong storm rolled through. We were on the third floor and ate our meals wet. The staff was friendly and helpful, but they struggled to get the weather protection blinds down. It was windy and raining so it's nothing they could do about that. The food was okay. Maybe the weather played a roll in it, but I ordered some shrimp and mash potatoes. The mash potatoes tasted like it came from a box and the shrimp were small and cold. If you want to drink and hang out with a bunch of friends then this is the place. I do not feel this would be a great place for kids. Our kids got a cheeseburger and Mac and cheese meals. Pretty plain and they did not want to finish their meals. The service was great but I do wonder what it would be like if it was not stormimg. read more

Great food, great service, great location. My family stayed nearby for 5 nights and we ate here twice. The food was fantastic--pounds of Bairdi crab and perfectly done coconut rice. Our server, Jackie, was a rare treat. He was expedient, friendly, and knows how to make a connection and provide quality service. I really can't enough about this young man. I have been coming here since I was a teen and tween back in the 80's. Pleasantly surprised to see the update. Always have loved the place but I think at this point there's more than enough seafood places that have that old-school fisherman's feel. The menu isn't very big but it's big enough and dramatically amazing enough to make it difficult to choose. I love that it's not full of fried stuff with a handful of other type of dishes. I know we're in the south but sometimes you want seafood that isn't fried. They have a really good variety of food. We had several different dishes and all came out great. I had very high expectations when I went here because is near the beach and it is on a nice environment, but the service was slow and the food wasn't the best. We ordered fried seafood and avocado tacos. The tacos weren't as good as I thought, no condiment, or flavor, I feel it was just salad over a tortilla. It is good that they are by the beach, but I feel there are better placer near his one. I guess if you want to have a good experience, you should order fried seafood instead of tacos. Man what can I say about this spot! Loved how you can eat on a floor with a good opening where you can feel the breeze coming in. Bare with me I was so hunger when I got my starter food I forgot to snap a picture. For the first starter was Buffalo Shrimp which they were amazing!! Then for the second to share was Oyster 4-Way - three New Orleans Grilled, three poppet, three Cleveland, and three Crabbyfellar. The only one I was not a fan of was the Crabbyfellar. Then came the Bairdi Crab! This was truly the best meal of them all. The butter on the crab legs were amazing and I was pretty satisfied.
