First time eating here and I have to say it was really good. I had no complaints from entering and being greeted by the hostess to the waitress/bartender. They were courteous and attended me very well. I had the Shrimp 3-Ways and it was delicious! Coconut Shrimp, Fried Shrimp and Stuffed Shrimp. The Margarita on the Rocks was refreshing. The last time I ate in this location is was another restaurant beloved by locals called Original Tiki Bar. The city opted to not renew their lease and it was torn down and replaced by a larger restaurant called Crabby's Dockside. The people I spoke to at the time were not in favor of a chain restaurant and would have liked the Tiki Bar to stay but you can't stop city hall. The Tiki Bar was supposed to have closed on August 31st but it managed to get a temporary reprieve. By the time I visited again Crabby's was up and running. Crabby's is an air-conditioned, two-story, 200-plus-seat restaurant with rooftop dining. It has an ice cream shop on the first floor. It also has none of the charm of it's predecessor. The outside of the building was designed to look like a river boat on the water. Fort Pierce native Guy Hardie is vice president of Beachside Hospitality, the company that owns the small chain of restaurants that includes five Crabby's, Salty's and Salty Island restaurants, all casual dining, waterfront spots serving American food in the Clearwater, Fort Myers and St. Cloud areas. I chose to eat here because I was in the area waiting out a rainstorm. The first hiccup came when I went to give my name to the hostess Amanda. Amanda was not wearing her mask and when I asked her about it she snickered at me. I then looked around the restaurant and the bar staff also had their masks off. None of the diners had a mask on walking into the restaurant. This behavior is so foreign to what I am experiencing where I live and where people are getting into fist fights with anyone who won't wear a mask. Apparently people in Ft. Pierce are not wearing masks like we must in Broward and Miami. Today there are 28,00 cases of Covid in Broward while in comparison there are only 2,700 cases in St. Lucie county, only and hour and half north. But if you look at the chart, St. Lucie County is spiking too. Everywhere I went in Fort Pierce people had masks around their necks but not on their faces. They are not taking this seriously and I pray they won't have to deal with what we are going through. Besides the bar staff and hostess, I saw people walk out from the kitchen onto the dining floor not wearing a mask which makes me think they are not wearing them in the kitchen too. Aside from the lack of masks I found this place overpriced. You need a smart phone in order to see the menu. You can scan the QR code on the table or go to their website. I ordered a rum drink that came in a bucket for $14. It was good, just expensive. Likewise the crab boil in scampi sauce I ordered for $25 came with a tiny portion of food. It was listed as a hungry portion meaning this was the size you should order if you are hungry but more ironically it left me feeling hungry. $40 later I left this place wanting to still get food. They opened July 4th weekend and their ratings are dismissal. I should have listened to the other people who posted their reviews. The view is fantastic and if I came back it would be after Covid for appetizers and drinks on the second floor deck. read more

No fresh fish here. Everything they serve is from the frozen food section or in a bag and re-cooked. I ask for RARE tuna and sent it back 3 times and it was still Medium. Why didn't they just tell me they couldn't get it rare??? The grouper was so smelly that my husband couldn't eat it and he eats everything. The calamari was rubber and the pizza was Uber greasy. Our visit to Crabby's was a great experience. We sat outside on the upper level. The view was pleasant and the breeze was just right that day! We had a variety of seafood, lobster squid and a couple cheeseburgers...all excellent! Our drinks, mojitos, scotch, rum etc..all were mixed to perfection and the appearance was visually pleasing. I believe our server was Michelle, and she was really an awesome personality who really made our overall experience here a great one! Definitely worth a try if you've never been here, and it's our go to place when we are visiting. read more

Well, I wanted to like this place because we really wanted to enjoy the view. But everything we had was just okay. Fried calamari app was a generous portion, but under seasoned. The "clemintine" twist on a screwdriver cocktail was watery and underwhelming. The veggie pizza was our main dish. Crust was tough and toppings were skimpy. The best bite was when I got the artichoke and sun dried tomatoes with ricotta all in my mouth at the same time. That happened rarely. Besides the underwhelming menu that you would think would have loads of fresh local seafood doesn't have very much seafood and what it does have appears to be frozen. I ordered a mojito and it came garnished with olives. From that point on, I knew I was in trouble.. it's a shame that a restaurant that has such an awesome location on the water is such a great disappointment. Steer clear of this establishment. The view here is stunning. Picturesque view side by side with the bay. You can view it from the upstairs deck or inside from two floors. The food is quite good - we had the tuna bowl and fried calamari Caesar salad. The only slightly annoying thing was a lack of prices on the drink menu and lots of "market price" seafood and steak items. Our server was also super friendly and she had a cheat sheet with all the prices so that helped. I recommend going a little before or after the typical prime times so you can get a seat right by the water. read more

This is exactly what I would imagine for a touristy inter coastal perch, right on the wader overlooking the catfish and pelicans! The wait staff was very friendly but skeletoned, so it was a long wait for food. The grouper bowl (we subbed for salmon) was surprisingly fantastic!! Coconut rice with seaweed and soygave sauce (soy + agave??) brought it up a notch. read more

I had the Ahi bowl but with a piece of Mahi instead of the Tuna, it was excellent. My first time here I met with six other coworkers friends and heard no complaints. What a disappointment, start to finish. The main thing is the food was terrible. Clam chowder was weak, like it came from a can. The "crab-stuffed shrimp" had no crab whatsoever and it was lame shrimp covered by 2-3 inches of breading mix with peppers in it. When I asked about the crab the server said "oh it's in there, just chopped up small." It wasn't chopped up small - just not in there. breading was inedible. Had the same dish up the road and it was very good. Mom had the shrimp Alfredo w linguine and was very unhappy with it - didn't eat much of it. Prices were as if this was a nice restaurant. I know it's hard to staff these places. It was almost empty customer wise so that should have been a sign. Server was in crappy shorts and t-shirt not any kind of work uniform at all and was interrogating us about where we were from and if we had been there before. I was sorry I had brought my mom there. We were here in Fort Pierce during the pandemic on our boat and saw all the reconstruction going on, so we were excited to go to the new building. But we were so disappointed. We ordered the crab dip, fried grouper and loaded tater tots. The tater tots were just frozen, bagged tots. They were cold when we got them. The crab dip was ok, the grouper batter had a weird after taste. The service was slow but the bartender did her best. Sarah was a fantastic server. Her smile radiates with a sweet personality. Enjoyed the rock shrimp as they were perfectly steamed and served with a side of Old Bay type seasoning and drawn butter. These are one of my favorite bites in the world and so hard to find these days. My Stella was ice cold and the local Caramel Apple Cider was sweet but enjoyable. My burger was moist and perfectly cooked. We look forward to visiting again and trying some other dishes. read more

Was wandering around downtown and ran into this spot, the views are great and our waiter Connor was great! Their fries are BUSSIN! and the Po Boy Shrimp sandwich is amazing, I would hold back from getting the Salmon Bowl though, it's just kind of meh. The prices are good for what value of the food you're getting and the vibes of the place. Oh and I wouldn't get the mojito, it's a little flat. Still recommend it for the vibes lol read more

We decided to try this place for the 1st time & doubt we will be back unless it's just to get ice cream since you can't mess that up. The waitress spent most of her time talking to a customer next to us that she never brought our appetizer & by the time the food came out it was cold I had the avocado tacos which had no flavor and was missing ingredients my coconut rice was cold, hubs had a burger that was ok but the fries were cold She apologized & didn't charge for my meal which was a nice gesture hence the 2 stars but doubt we will go back to eat there again even though the water view was nice read more

Tried this out for our anniversary and I'm so glad we did. We had an amazing experience. The only thing better than the amazing food was the staff. Hands down phenomenal. We tried two appetizers, the fish dip and the grouper bites and they were both delicious. We also tried a bowl of clam chowder which was so, so good and then for the main course we ordered the seafood pasta as well as the stuffed flounder and it was unbelievably great; cooked perfectly and great sized portions. The cocktails were delicious and paired great with the gorgeous water view and relaxing music. The manager Mondy came over to check on us afterwards and was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back regularly and have already told all our friends and family about this place! read more

We made a pit stop for lunch after Dropping off our rv to get fixed. Great view, service, and food. Highly recommend to stop by. We had the crab and spinach dip with the homemade Cuban bread was delicious. The blackened grouper melt, and Cajun shrimp & sausage alfredo pasta was also delicious and hot! Good food. Their Key Lime Pie is out-of-this-world! They only have high chairs indoors. (I HATE having my short legs dangle; I want to eat with my feet on the floor.) It was extremely windy outside where they had the only regular-height tables/chairs; so much so that they couldn't put the umbrellas up so you could sit in the shade. Solutions/Suggestions: (1) They should have at least half of their indoor tables low enough so their customers don't have to sit in high chairs. (If I wanted to sit in a bar stool, I'd go to a bar--which I don't.) (2) They should have their outdoor tables anchored down so that they can raise the umbrellas without fear of the tables being blown over. (They said that they couldn't put the umbrellas up to provide shade because of the wind/breeze.) (3) They could replace their old-fashioned patio umbrellas with the new WIND-PROOF ones. OR... (4) They could provide sun shade sails over the entire outdoor tables to prevent their customers from getting sunburned while eating. read more

My family ordered their meals at approximately 12:25. At 12:43, Abby came to the table to tell us our food will be out shortly. At 1:00, my sister walked to the refresh station where Abby pretty much hung out to ask her what was taking so long and to bring me a box since I had to go back to work. Abby went to check on the food and brought it out. The food looked like it was just thrown together. We did not have our bread (the meals come with it) and my sister's order was wrong. I suspect it to be pre-made Heat and serve. Meatballs were delivered tepid The pastas sat in the window under the heat lamps too long. The seafood was fresh. The pasta was over cooked or cooked twice. I think the kitchen has issues timing the food. I'd go back more to have a few drinks and grab a bite.
