We had such a great lunch at this spot. The seafood was really fresh and wait staff super friendly and helpful. We had an amazing rum cake for dessert. WOW! So delicious. We shared conch fritters and fish dip for appetizers and I ordered the mahi fish sandwich as my entree. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. I have had crab bisque in many places but none come close to this one. Every spoon full is filled with fresh crab meat. The crab cakes are also stuffed full of crab meat. The prices are good for the quality food. read more

Gettin Crabby should deal with its acoustical problem. This is off season, so the noise level couldn't be blamed on the crowd. If you are sitting in the dining room, the noise level is worse than a high school cafeteria. Could not wait to leave the din. No way to dine...thank goodness I wasn't entertaining guests. Dinner conversation would have been impossible. Having eaten here a half dozen times before, as always, the fish was fresh and tastefully prepared. But, I won't return. read more

Best shrimp around. They get it fresh each day from the shrimp boat. Then they cook it up lots of different ways. The crab cakes are amazing. Nice little dive of the main trail. But so worth it. Don't judge by the outside. Go in and enjoy. We drove here special. Well worth the drive. read more

Possibly the best steamed Blue Crabs I've ever had outside of Maryland. Crab soup was delicious, crab cake was delicious, Scallop "burger" (three scallops bound with bacon) was delicious. Conch fritters were amazing. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. read more

Four of us had lunch here this weekend. Decided to go based on the reviews, and we were very glad we did. Don't be fooled by the building's outside appearance, or the lack of ocean view. This is a really cool interior, warm restaurant with the best seafood we have eaten in the area. We had the best crab cakes I have had maybe ever, and the raw oysters were extremely fresh. Everything we ordered (about 6 appetizers) was great. Plus they have a terrific offering of international beers, including some I have not found anywhere else. I found this place on Yelp, stopped in for lunch a few months ago and wish I still lived in the area because I would hang out at this place on a weekly basis. The ambiance, the food, the service ... all excellent and I hear they even have music at times. What's not to like? The crab bisque was very good; I think I got a fish sandwich, I don't remember know, but it was good and I had just missed the last of the blue crabs, which is what I really wanted (but couldn't afford anyway, so it was just as well.) As good as it gets really says it all. The food and staff are excellent. Absolutely worth stopping. That being said, it's a perfect place for a couple and or a group of adults, but I wouldn't take young kids. Mainly because its a small place and getting a table is hot or miss. Since it was just my husband and I, we were able to sit at the bar. Can't say there is anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend. Were it not for Yelp reviews you would drive right by this run down building 9 times out of 10. My wife and I took her parents for a ride up from Jupiter to see Port Salerno for first time. "old Florida" is best description of interior. However, entire place is very clean. Food is amazing. Try the crab bisque....full of crabmeat and just delicious. The special peel and eat shrimp appetizer with wild caught, deep ocean jumbo shrimp is out of this world! Do not miss this if available. Crab cakes are very, very good. Double tenderized conk sandwich is very good. Place was nearly full at 1:30 to 3 pm on a rainy Wednesday. Not a place to lunch if you are in a hurry. It was perfect for us. Good draft beer choices. This place is awesome. The atmosphere is great because it is just a small little restaurant with 2 bars (upstairs and downstairs). The crab bisque might be the best soup I have EVER had before. Last time I went I got the bisque and the Crabby Platter for two which has king crab, snow crab, and dungeness. It was the perfect meal. read more

9/29/2012 We loved Gettin Crabby. I had an awesome Steak - thats right a 1 lb aged New York Steak that melted in your mouth in a seafood restaurant! My wife had a fresh grilled crusted Yellow Tail Tuna with a cucumber onion salad served sashimi (semi raw) style - the best she's eaten. We shared a rum coconut bun desert - decadent - great. Service was extremely cordial and fast. Both of us joined the clean plate club - not a scrap left. We will be back. After moving from the Keys to Stuart in was great to find this rough gem that sevens superb fresh seafood. When on the first of many visits the specials were triple tail and grouper cheeks that tasted like they were swimming just a day before, expertly prepared, we knew we found our go to seafood restaurant. We arrived at 5:20 pm and were greeted by a man behind the bar, I believe his name was Glen. We informed him there were 3 people in our party and he told us the only available seats were at the bar. We waited as we were informed by a second person that a table would be ready as soon as they could clean it. After we were seated, Glen took our drink order and we gave him our appetizer order of grilled shrimp ($8) and Cocktail Crab Claws ($8). It took about 20 minutes for our appetizers to arrive, at which time we placed our dinner orders, along with a requested for two oyster shooters. After almost 40 minutes our two oyster shooters arrived without the condiments we requested. Then after complaining about the long wait for our food, Glen came back to our table. I explained that other tables were seated after us and had been served and were finished with their food. He explained that they determine how they serve the food based on whats best for the restaurant. He went on to explain that others were served because it was based on what they ordered. He left our table and returned about 15 minutes later with our food. We had ordered two of the specials, hogfish topped with blue crab meat ($26), and grilled shrimp with a crab cake ($21). The third entree was the Captains platter ($20). The grilled shrimp and crab cake was actually served without a crab cake and snow crab legs were served instead. We were so hungry and angry at this point we did not send the incorrect order back to the kitchen. After our food was delivered, Glen asked if we would like anything else, and I requested silverware which had up to this point never been provided. After the the long wait and very slow inaccurate service, the food was only average quality, and was not anywhere near the reviews we read about the restaurant. This was not our original choice for dinner, as we went to King Neptune first where we have never had a bad meal or service. Unfortunately, they were closed this Sunday and upon reading the reviews about Getting Crabby we thought we would give it a try. Based on our experience, I don't believe Getting Crabby deserves the positive reviews you have read. If you want a great meal and great service, go to King Neptune. I was disappointed by Getting Crabby's service, food, and value. read more

This is our "go to" seafood place in an area abounding with fish restaurants. The food is always fresh and well prepared, the Crab bisque and red shrimp are the best you ever ate, and the fresh specials give you a great taste of FL seafood. I grew up in New England, so I know good seafood, and I consider this place to be among the best sources for local, fresh caught fare I have ever been to. Atmosphere is casual and prices are very fair, so you feel comfortable walking in at any time. read more

Downgrading from 5 stars. My wife and I went last night. This has always been our favorite spot, and one of the places we go on special occasions. Wife ordered her usual: Soft shell crab with 2 sides. Her favorite meal period. 2 large crabs. They looked fantastic, and she inhaled one of them (always saves the other for lunch the next day). She loved it. 5+ stars for the soft shell crab. Good job Crabby's! I ordered my usual: 1 x Crab cake and 4 fried shrimp. I don't know what type of shrimp they use, or where they get them, but the quality is unbelievably good. What ever they use to "bread" them (kind of like a thin tempura batter), and how the fry them, is done right. 5+ stars. The crab cake on the other hand: I've ordered the crab cake many times. Although never having a lot of flavor, the crab always came though as the main (and about the only) ingredient. On average, excellent quality (as is everything they serve). This time, the crab cake was small, contained very little lump crab (larger pieces), was tasteless, and what flavor it had was more of an old oil taste. I love my crab cakes, and look forward to having them at Crabby's, but they need to pay a little more attention to this item, as they may be assuming that's it's as good as it use to be - but the patrons may have a different opinion. The price is not cheap, and the quality should match. 3- Stars - average meh. The Sunshine orange cake is really really good. 10 Stars! We'll continue to go to Crabby's, but I may shy away from the crab cakes in the future (unfortunate). read more

I would like to find out what this place is like but I wasn't given the chance! I called to place a pickup order and the person on the phone said he couldn't take my order and to call back later because he was too busy! That is not good customer service. You should have placed me on hold at the very least and then pick up and take my order when you were ready or get someone else to pick up and write it down. A customer on the phone isn't any less of a customer than one that is standing in front of you. read more
