Went here because I've heard good reviews. They were very busy when I walked in, however promptly took my order. I ordered a half dozen medium crabs with their special butter. They told me to wait outside and they would call my name. About 7 mins later they called my name and I got my crabs. Their mediums are definitely mediums! I was very pleased at not only the size, but steam was coming up out of the bag....super fresh! The inside was crowded and only for ordering food, but outside they have a fancy beach looking area to sit. It has multiple benches and it had umbrellas to protect you from the sun. Theres also a roll of to go paper that you can rip off to take home or cover your table if you are outside. My review is def 5 stars!! The crabs were so meaty and heavy. On my way home I went back and got another half dozen of mediums. Again, they didn't disappoint! Not sure how this places gets good reviews... imo the only appealing thing is the price. We had to wait a while for the food to come out, and the place did seem fairly busy with locals picking up raw seafood to cook at home, so maybe thats the way to go. Ordered the "famous combo", which came with: Fish: this was actually fairly bad tasting. I think I just didn't like the flavor that they had added. Ended up smothering it with cocktail sauce to hide the taste Shrimp: fine. Probably the only decent component of the combo Crab cake: This also was okay, but not up to MD standards. Maybe I'm spoilt here (usually have great crab cakes in Baltimore), so I had fairly high standards Clams: flat out bad. The seasoning that they added just didn't work. And they just didn't taste fresh. Corn bread: maybe they thought this was meant to be a dessert. It was way too sweet, and the texture was exactly like cake Onion rings: not great. Stopped in for lunch. Had crab balls , rockfish tacos and a flounder sandwich. Crab balls (mini crab cakes) were great. The best I have had in this area and the best I have had in a long time. The aioli sauce did not have a strong flavor, but complemented the crab. The rockfish tacos (2 tacos) were excellent as well as the flounder sandwich (about 8 inches long). Solid seafood market. The seafood here is top notch in quality and freshness. On a recent vacation, my companions and I wanted to splurge on a seafood dinner. First off, SCALLOPS - so good, incredibly fresh, and caught in Ocean City; can't beat that! They smelled like the sea and were big, sweet, and meaty, just what you want from a scallop. Also local to Delmarva, we got some rockfish, which was a big hit at dinner. A pound was a couple of fillets - nice. I even asked the owner, who took a moment out of his busy orders, to ask him about the seafood. We grabbed some delicious grouper to top it all off. Dinner that evening turned out to be awesome. The place ain't cheap, but that's price of good quality seafood. If I had a lot more money and time, I would've gone for the crabs and numerous shellfish available. Instead I just grabbed some of their cornbread and one of their giant cookies. Highly recommend the soft shell crab sandwich; the crab was huge and perfectly fried! The crab fluff was okay; I had pictured a fried crab cake, but it was so thickly coated in batter that it was like a large hush puppy. The crab cake inside was well seasoned, but there was just too much batter on it for my taste and it made it pretty dry. Next time, I'll stick with the crab cake sandwich instead. As with other reviews, the wait was fairly long. There's tons of outdoor seating available. My friend and I were tired of Outback but not willing to be set up. It's hit or miss with seafood in Ocean City. This place has the BEST crab cakes!!! Hands down, no joke, this crab cake has ruin me for all other places. Is it the lightly fried crunchy bits on the outside? It is the delicate seasoning of the crab meat with no overwhelming celery or old bay flavors to mask the sweetness of the crabmeat??? I dunno!!! It's soooooo good, I want more immediately after having one. I got the fried combo platter. It's a HUGE platter and probably mean to be shared by two people. The scallops were delicious and perfectly cooked, not too rubbery or undercooked. The clam strips were BIG with meaty pieces. You can taste the clams and not just the breading like they normally taste at other places. The shrimps were sweet. The founder filter was nice and flaky. Even the tarter sauce is good, and I normally do not like tartar sauce!!! My husband got the fish taco and he said it was the BEST fish taco he's ever had in his whole life! He actually got onto FaceTime to show someone back home how amazing the fish taco looked, and he said it tasted as good as it looked! The best part of the meal is a thought everything was fried, it was not greasy at all! The food came on paper boxes and we lined a plate with paper napkins and out the food on it, it was not soaked with oil or grease at all at the end of the meal. Incredible!!! Been coming here for years now. The seafood is always fresh and service is on point. They have a wide variety of seafood options from shrimp crabs crab legs to fresh fish sandwiches and many others. If you're not looking for something fancy or a sit down place but just want really good seafood, COME HERE. There were so many things I wanted to get, but I was craving lobster so I opted for the lobster tail. I could've eaten 50 of them... so good. Since I was on my way to meet up with family, I decided to get the 40 shrimp order. Those were unbelievably good too. One thing I wasn't aware of was that there's a shell on the shrimp, so that made me feel pretty dumb. I've never cooked shrimp, and rarely eat it when I'm out, so I've never encountered this problem. Just a heads up for anyone who might be clueless like I was. Another thing that I liked about this place is they cooked the lobster tail and shrimp for me.
