Waffle Houses are pretty consistent across the US I have found. That is a good thing. On this occasion I had a pecan waffle and hash browns along with coffee with cream. The first cup of coffee wasn't very hot not sure what happened there but the second one was just fine. My pecan waffle was good as it always is and I like the plain hash browns not dressed up with anything and they were good as well. This location stays pretty busy and today was no exception. They are pretty quick to wait on you though and I have never had any issue in here. Keep on doing your thing Waffle House. read more

On a recent visit to the Greenfield area, my boyfriend and I were looking for a filling breakfast. We live in Fort Wayne, where the closest Waffle House is miles away. I was really craving some Waffle House fare, so we decided to drop in for our meal. My waffle with sugar-free syrup (thank you for offering this!) was absolutely delicious. I couldn't have been happier with the flavor, texture, and temperature. Our server was very attentive and fast in bringing out our food. In fact, it reminded me of my years growing up in North Carolina, where Waffle Houses are plentiful. My boyfriend's hash brown dish was very filling and he walked away pretty happy. Today is our anniversary and we wanted to start our day with breakfast somewhere new. The bacon was crisp and flavorful, the eggs were perfect, the hash browns delicious, and the waffle was amazing! I was impressed to find they have mixed fruit jelly. Our server was so friendly and upbeat. She went above and beyond when I told her it was a hard choice between white or raisin toast. Stopped in for breakfast on our way beck to Columbus from Indianapolis. This is hands down one of the best Waffles houses we have been to. The place is super clean and the staff is some of the nicest people you will meet. The food was insanely quick and hot and tasted perfect. WORST WAFFLE HOUSE EVER!!! Let me start by saying I have eaten at this location before and it was not bad. Our visit tonight however was a different story. We started off by ordering 2 cups of coffee and 4 waters. The kid waiting on us seemed confused because my kids were in the restroom washing their hands and not visible. He then brought us old cold coffee. I had to asked another server for straws. When we ordered food I began to order the all star special. I order my eggs over easy. He replies "do you want the whites done?" I repeated that I would like them over easy. He stated "I have to yell and order them like over medium or over light". I reply well then over light, it's the same thing. He brought us the check before the food. When the food arrived he sat it down and walked away. He then proceeded to go to the other side of the restaurant to do whatever he was doing. I had to ask someone else for some more fresh coffee. After we were finished eating he came to ask if everything was ok. I told him the grits that my daughter ordered were awful. He asked did we want different ones. Obviously not they are bad and we are finished eating. I tried to hand him some of the plates and he replied that he just came to check on us not take the plates. That he was getting ready to clock out and we were his last table of the night. This is a very clean restaurant and we were seriously impressed with our server Donna. She was on top of everything we needed and stayed in good touch with us. She timed everything well too. All four of us really liked our food, too. It was truly the best tasting bacon I've had in a very long time. They have a cool jukebox too, which I've always had fun with every time we got to a Waffle House across the country. The service was horrible. It took forever to get ordered. The lady was very very rude and mixed up a lot of stuff and blamed it on me and my group. Asked why, she nearly rolled her eyes and said she didn't really know, something about a competition. She never made eye contact nor smiled the whole time we waited for food, cook was equally lacking in personality. Our server, Tammie was awesome. She was sweet, professional and attentive. Food was very good and came out SO fast! However seeing the young man cooking the bacon (I believe his name tag said Zack) take a piece and shove it in his mouth with his gloves on and touch his mouth with his gloves then go back to cooking was a little disturbing. read more

I've been a regular at this Waffle House for the last 2 years, going in usually 2-3 times a week. While occasionally I get a less good server, they never stick around long, and the ones that do are superb. The cooks are all excellent, and if you ever want to have some of the best short-order food you've ever tasted, go in when Chris is cooking. The man loves cooking, and is possibly the best restaurant cook in Greenfield. Want to try something weird? He'll make it for you. read more
