I've dined in once, takeout/curbside at least 3 times. My dine in experience was interesting. I started by being waited on by Olivia, she was really nice but if I recall correctly, she told me the mgr told her to clock out so then I got Wenzell. He was not giving that nice (not mean but just straight up and down) at first but I think that's just his demeanor. He was a good server as well. He brought me my fried catfish and I immediately asked him to take it back. Too light skin, needed some browning and crisping. Unfortunately, ordering the fish (which is literally the one thing I get) is a toss up. One take out that fish was delicious, cooked perfectly! Perfectly seasoned and crisp.....oh my gosh! I took a bite then ended up pulling over to eat the rest of it while still hot. And then the other two take outs...btw, fish is never nasty but they take it out the fryer too quick and you can't write notes on the order to let them know you'd like a crispier filet. The sides I rotate, I typically order 3. The dumplings are good but I always take them home and zhuzh them up with rotisserie chicken. I also like the turnip greens with the pepper vinegar, hash brown casserole. The mac & cheese is a gamble. Also the bread/muffins aren't always warm in curbside but when they are, so good with the whipped butter. I don't eat nor typically like bread like that but Cracker Barrel is one of the few I enjoy! I just wish I knew who cooked the fish that one time, I'd come back on their shifts! read more

I came here today with my sorority sisters after attending church together. We were a large party of 15 so it took a while for them to find tables in the same area to accommodate us. We had no complaints as we enjoyed conversation sitting in the rocking chairs out front. When we were seated our food & drunk orders were taken pretty quickly. I ordered the strawberry peach lemonade and it was very refreshing and delicious. For my meal I asked about the southern fried chicken but I only wanted wings, the staff notified me they couldn't accommodate my request so I ended up ordering the meatloaf with loaded mashed potatoes and fried apples instead. When the food arrived it was a process to simply get silverware, napkins and condiments to our table. So much so that one of the employees started arguing back and forth with us which was completely unprofessional. My meatload was good. Portion size was plenty leaving me with a little for lunch the next day. My potatoes were not only thick but also lukewarm which made them impossible to enjoy. They also did not come loaded but by the time I saw the waiter again it wasn't worth mentioning. The apples were perfect as always. Good morning, I thought today for breakfast I try one of my favorites old fashioned restaurants..I thought I heard Cracker Barrel changed their logo the barrel off name.. but as you can tell the logo wasn't changed..(picture attached) As I walked in I always liked looking at the merchandise and love the old fashioned root beer candies ..etc..As we were waiting to be seated my husband and I were talking and the hostess screamed really Loudly you guys to get our attention to be seated which I thought was kinda rude .. Excuse me would have been better...Our waiter was Nelson he took our orders and our drinks. A waitress brought our food put tray on table and knock my butter knife on floor .I asked for a new one nobody brought me one until my husband got up to get one for me.. We ordered sausage on the side and 4 patties and we cut one and inside the Pattie's were raw I did send them back and started with my breakfast we both ordered the new item on menu the sausage , egg and hash brown casserole with peppers , onions , cheese, and crumbled sausage with gravy on bottom.. the casserole came out a little cold not as hot as I would like it to be I did take a few bites the flavor was good wasn't a wow factor for me . Our sausage came back out at the end of our meals and they were hard as hockey pucks .. not today I won't be loosing a tooth.. The atmosphere here was very extremely loud .. the decor around the restaurant is old fashioned and pretty cool to look at .. restaurant was clean . I personally thought the restaurant needed help on waiters and waitresses.. The food needs a little more attention to but overall the waiter was very friendly and when he wasn't too busy he did come check on us .. We did wait 30 minutes for a check ... Pancake was awesome! Biscuits were perfect but the gravy was lackluster. NY steak was not too prime and cooked mid well against a request of mid rare. Would have sent it back but the server never stopped back by the table until I was about done with it! Even then he just set the check on the table "for my convenience" and never even asked how the meal was! No refill of my empty water glass. It's not hard. If the server just cared a little, he coulda asked me about dessert, but I guess a 10% tip on a lower ticket is fine by him! I love the uncle herschel's which is the grilled catfish and you pick your sides. Our waitress Pia was very good and attentive. The only thing is that they used to have real creamer like hood brand cream but not its international delight and that stuff is like fake milky water. So that's disappointing. I like Cracker Barrel, but this experience was less than desirable. The day we visited the restaurant was super busy, as it was around noon on a Sunday. The restaurant itself was super chaotic. There were a lot of tables that were not bust and it just seemed super messy. Our server came over and basically said "are you ready to order?". No greeting.... anyhow we ordered. Our food took almost 30 minutes. Although, they did apologize, but left our drink glasses, completely empty. Then upon the arrival of our food, it wasn't correct and we didn't have silverware. We struggled to flag anyone down to help us. Anyhow, we eventually worked it out. The food was not great, even for a Cracker Barrel. Hard to tell if or when will ever be back. read more

I hate to leave a bad review but this was the worst service I've gotten in a long time. Our server told us we couldn't get the cornbread and biscuits while then giving the table next to us them. On top of that we waited almost 45 min for pancakes and eggs. (The restaurant was practically empty). She forgot the toast that I ordered and gave me a Coke Zero with a fly in it. I don't know what happened to this place since the last time I've been there, but I was told I couldn't have bread, even though I needed to take medication I was told by Managment and staff that it would be given out with the meal. Plus, it was very warm in the restaurant to the point where I was fanning myself with a menu throughout my meal. This was truly a horrible dining experience when I go out to eat I don't wanna sweat. There's always something (smh‍) but the biscuits and the fried chicken are so good Fridays I go for fried fish sometimes. This time they brought the biscuits out late, never brought the fried pickles until literally after we ate and had the check (it was supposed to be an app ). But at least they didn't charge us for them. The hot honey never came with the fried chicken even though its description on the menu specifically said "fried chicken served with hot honey for drizzling". We had to ask for it. They also brought out a dessert we didn't order at all (we sent it back because we were gonna get ice cream). It was just a hot mess dining experience. Our family of 7 stopped in for dinner. It was pretty dead in there which surprised me as CB's are usually packed. We got the nice round table which we really like. Good was ok. Pancakes usually get devoured and they didn't eat them all. Shrimp was ok. Steak was really good! My daughter loved it! My wife enjoyed her meatloaf and veggies. Biscuits were wonderful! Seems off to me that you'd bring out 7/8 biscuits to a family of 7 and bring them 3 jellies? Gotta think that one through next time. Didn't feel like it had the normal CB charm. Crispy edges....those crispy edges on the pancakes can make or break a pancake. Momma's pancake breakfast is my go to with the spicy chicken sausage. The whole meal is perfection. The biscuit beignets come with a pecan syrup and were tasty. Nice item to share. I have zero complaints. Entrance is a gift shop, so if you do have to wait for a table, then it isn't so bad. I just ordered chicken dumpling soup. I was disappointed that it was served with NO spoon. Then the soup was supposed to have carrots and celery and onions, so I told the server about it, she went back to the kitchen and came and she tells me that they said "it's just a soup" . Half the place was a general store and half was suppose to be a restaurant. That's a compliment referring to it as a restaurant. The food was terrible. I would give it a zero but that was not one of the choices. At most restaurants there are multiple items on the menu that I have to choose from. This place I had trouble finding anything to order. I settle for four sides; Mac & cheese, green beans. Okra and corn. The best part of the meal was the cup of coffee. The restaurant was noisy as there was nothing like carpet or curtains to absorb the sounds. There were not enough service staff as I had to wait 15 minutes to place my order. Another great location to check out. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. The food came out quickly and she made sure to check on us a few times. The only downside to the service we received was from the hostess. We said hello and he didn't look at us nor respond. After collecting menus he said "follow me" and proceeded to set the menus down and actually run away from our table. A very new experience for us. There was no line or wait so that was a plus. We first viewed the new items menu, but honestly I can never pull myself away from my go-to. My all time favorite meal is the chicken n' dumplins. I was so pleased when I received my meal. Exactly what I wanted. The carrots on the side melt in your mouth. Yum! Also the biscuits were warm, fresh, and topped with flaky salt. No complaints here. This location still had my favorite blackberry jam from Dickenson's. Placed an online order about an hour before closing. My order was quickly accepted then ended up canceling it right before they closed.

Gosh... Where to begin. We placed our order and waited an exorbitant time for the food to be served. My chicken breasts were about the size of Chicken wings (see the attached picture). I made a comment about it to the server and her only response was a shrug. I've heard of shrinkflation... but really!!! One in our group ordered the Chicken w/dumplings. They were stuck together in a dish, obviously thawed and heated in a microwave oven. He had to pour-off the water in the dish from the thawing/heating. The service was horrible and the hostess was standing by the kitchen door looking bored instead of helping the other staff. Getting drink refills in a timely manner was not an option. Our server was slow, at best. When we went up to the register to pay, we were asked how everything was. We told the cashier and he just shrugged his shoulders and took our cash. No apology, no offering to get a manager. I guess we disturbed him with a less-than-positive answer. I wish I could find something positive to say about this experience, but I can't. Our experience was really baffling. Food: subpar Service: terrible While there our waitress hid in the kitchen and never came out to check on anyone or see if there were new customers. We never even got a chance to ask her for ketchup. Another couple had to go look for her in the kitchen. A third couple stormed out after only getting iced tea after 40 min. When I went to pay, only one cash register was open and the cashier said her register only took cash. I then said, "then how should I pay?" and she seemed confused and called the manager. Went here early in the morning and the food was good. I had the standard breakfast platter but subbed the biscuit for toast and I should have kept the biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were really good. The toast wasn't great at all but everything else was good. I enjoyed playing the peg game at the table until our food was ready. My friend and I have a standing monthly breakfast date. We decided to go back to basics and meet at Cracker Barrel on NYE. This is nostalgic for me because my late grandparents celebrated their wedding anniversary as well as my Nana's birthday on NYE. It was always at Cracker Barrel except they opted for dinner. My friend had one of the featured specials: a Sunday French toast paired with crispy chicken. It looked delicious and she seemed to enjoy it. It was a healthy portion; therefore, she had leftovers. Unfortunately, they were out of sourdough bread so they substituted it with whole wheat. On a positive note, it made the meal slightly more healthy. I ordered a create your own deal and selected egg whites, grilled chicken tenders and pancakes. I went this route because I wanted a biscuit too and it allowed me to make substitutions more easily. The pancakes were scrumptious. I could taste the butter in every bite. YUM! Kayla was our server and she is phenomenal! I was ravenous when I arrived due to the fact I came from the gym and hadn't eaten yet. I requested the biscuit before the meal and she made it happen. I appreciated her so much! Additionally, our coffees never went dry. Our orders were served to perfection and she didn't miss a beat. Plus, she has a dynamite personality. I visited the restroom and it was very clean. After breakfast, we shopped the boutique. I realize I've officially become my mother shopping at Cracker Barrel. I have to admit they have a LOT of nice stuff to include but not limited to: clothing, gifts, home decor and miscellaneous items. They had a 70% section and I scored a sweater for myself along with two gifts - all for $20! I foresee myself dining at Cracker Barrel more often or maybe even popping in on occasion to shop the clearance section. Yes, I'm that person. ;) I highly recommend this Cracker Barrel and if you're able to get Kayla as your server, you should! The cashier who checked us out was very pleasant too. We were seated quickly but we were not waited on nor or waitress came and got drink orders for at least 10min. We ordered the cinnamon roll casserole and it came out almost immediately we all took a bit and it tasted absolutely disgusting. They tasted like lemon sauce was poured on them or their icing went sour it was horrible Then we didn't have everything on our table like condiments and I ask for them and never got it so I never at my biscuits. We got are lunch quickly also. i ordered the hash brown shepherds pie and they served me huge chunks of pot roast and the carrots were not sliced. I didn't eat at all it was a horrible experience. The people in the front of the house, the hostess, the cashiers all look like they are at a funeral. Absolutely depressed. no pleasantries no smiles. The eating utensils are dirty. We doubt there is any soap in the dishwasher, unless they're not even using that and they're only using the sanitizer. I haven't been here in a long time and I know why. I doubt I'll come again. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait and we were not called for over an hour. We went up to the hostess station to ask how much longer we could expect to wait and the non English speaking host completely ignored us. We stayed standing in front of the hostess desk and she kept talking to people around us and refused to address our question. Many other guests had the same question as us so she kept looking at her iPad and pawned off the job to some poor server who came up to the front. We walked out and won't be back. We were at the metrocenter and 45th Street location in West Palm Beach, Florida. We waited over an hour for our order which was beans and greens and chocolate chip pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon. The manager is why I am leaving a review she walked over and said sorry we are busy they are making it now? WHAT? NOW? I told her that others have come in after us and already have their food.
