Every time we do I have to ask myself... Why. The little shopping area never changes. Just sells the same old stuff. I can't imagine anyone wanting any of it. The dining room always looks like it needs a good cleaning. The service is ok, I guess. I mean, they're polite and attentive. But nobody seems like they really want to be there. The wait was long after we got seated. It took the waiter 10 mins to come over for the first stop by. (We timed it). The food was alright. I didn't get something that was suppose to be included (rice with the Louisiana Shrimp) I was told that the sides were substituted for it. That's not how it reads on the menu. What a wonderful time we had here in Willoughby Ohio. Was seated immediately. Restaurant was your typical run-of-the-meal Cracker Barrel. Clean and well appointed. Our server Crystal was wonderful. A sweet little soft voiced thing who made us feel like we were at Auntee's house. (She later told us she's been with Cracker Barrel for 28 years; no one ever made her day like we did.) Food came out fast, hot, well proportioned, and tasty. We both had the Grandmas Sampler with Apples and Hash Brown casserole. Not sure why this place has so few stars. When we come back to the Cleveland area, this place will get a return visit. read more

Went to Cracker Barrell by I90 & Sr91 interchange in Willoughby last Friday night. Pre checked in by iPhone, so they had my name by time we got to counter. My wife and. Grandkids shopped general store and 10 minutes or so we were seated. They took our order and bright drinks and corn bread and biscuits with honey and butter. The kids like the bread , butter and honey. My wife tried pot roast. With carrots and potatoes and gravy. They we nice sized chunks of roast beef with gravy. She enjoyed but saved half for leftovers. I I tried the Shephard Pie casserole which was also excellent comfort food. The beef and gravy were excellent With peas, sour cream , cheese adding to the hash brown casserole flavor. They brought drink refills and grand kids enjoyed cheeseburgers and Mac and cheese with chicken dumpling side Overall fairly good and filling. My wife and kids shopped again as I paid the bill. read more

A very sad experience. We have eaten here a few times before and it was good. This time our entire order was cold except for the grits. The grits were watery and tasteless. I had ham and eggs. The ham was very small and overcooked. I told a person that look like the manager that our food was bad and it was cold and she said "don't tell us out front tell the servers.' For the manager, not to say, let me go back and tell the cooks and the servers they need to step up their game made me feel that it was OK for the meal to be this way. read more

Ambiance- This location was consistent with most Cracker Barrels. The store part was very clean. The restaurant part was decent. Service-It took a while to be seated. Their pa system was broken. It was hard to hear them call names right outside the door. We had to go inside three times to check for our names. I wish I could say it got better when we were seated. But...it didn't. Our server was pleasant and took our order, and then we didn't see her after we got our drinks. We had a party of eight and we ordered as soon as she brought our drinks. We then noticed that every other table around us had their food, or were leaving, included a couple parties that entered after us. It took 1 full hour for our food to arrive. We asked about our food and was told a cook called off. I didn't believe that to be the issue since the remaining cooks got every other table taken care of. Food-now for the good part. Our food was good. All except one entree that was not at proper temperature. We didn't dare send it back. Most of our party took our food to go. Luckily, we enjoyed each other's company and played games to pass the time. When we realized it was over a hour for food, we asked for a manager. We very quietly but firmly explained our long wait and concerns that we are now approaching lunch time. She listened but appeared to want to rush away. We got our food within 5 minutes of talking to her. In the end, 50% was removed from our bill. Service and food have gone downhill. The kitchen was extremely slow even with not being busy. Wait time over an hour for not complicated menu items. Food for the kids was done and sitting on hot plate. Had to ask for it to come out. Would not recommend coming for dinner unless you want your time wasted. We had wonderful service from Lisa,the hostess and Crystal, our server. The restaurant was extremely clean ( very important to me) and so comfortable. I was sat directly next to the fireplace because I asked, "got someplace warm". I appreciate the diversity of the employees and clientele! My meal was exactly as I ordered, and the little nice touches like heating up the real maple syrup and actual glass drinking glasses always make this place feel comforting and special. Food is great, customer service not so much for take out. Call to ask about an item on the menu and place an order and the wait was 30+ minutes before they just hung up. Repeat call for manager, hung up again. Finally got through he apologized. Order was taken and it was wrong. This is a very busy place and no secret why, it's good food. The service was awful. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks, which only one glass of water was brought. We were told that the coffee had been made, but they never added the ground so they had to redo it. That they were brewing the tea. The coffee finally arrived, there were no spoons on the table just threw the cream. The iced tea that was served was not warm so it had not been freshly brewed. We finally got our food but no utensils after waiting a period of time where our food got cold one of us got up and went to the kitchen and got her own utensils. Once Bill came three out of six were wrong.we went up to the front desk to straighten it out. Talk to the manager the manager never offered anything as far as an apology nor did the waitress. I had the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. Our servers name was Treasure. She had an attitude the whole time. Even in front of her manager. Upon arrival to place an in person order I was greeted with the rudest employee ever! Kim was nasty, rude, and basically just bothered by the fact that I had the audacity to come in to place an order at an establishment that serves food of all things. She was mean, nasty, and disrespectful to say the least. She told me that the order would be 40 minutes (which was expected for a Sunday). I said ok I'm going to set my timer and she said I don't care what you're going to do! I immediately requested a manager and then she finally changed her tune. A friend of mine received a gift card for the holidays so we decided to venture out & dine in. Everyone was wearing masks & designated tables were marked as not available to provide ample social distancing between tables & patrons. Our waitress was extremely pleasant although she did have a few instances where her mask wasn't covering both her nose & mouth . We chose to keep our masks on until our food arrived at the the table to limit any possibility of exposure to Covid . Our food was brought out really fast and we both enjoyed our delicious meals. I wanted to try the chocolate pecan pie but they were unfortunately out of it. We didn't use the entire amount on the gift card so we will be making another trip out in the near future to use up the balance. Cracker Barrel is the spot. We wanted to go to a nearby restaurant but even after being added to the waitlist for 58 minutes, was told it would be another hour or so. I reluctantly choose to have father's day dinner Cracker Barrel. After eating at one in NJ seven years ago and having a terrible meal, no seasoning and no taste,I was extremely reluctant to go but extremely hungry. We waited for only about 15 minutes even though the restaurant was packed. Our server Mimi was a superstar! The food was outstanding, I am quite a food critic and was so surprised at the flavor and quality of the meals. My wife loved her grilled catfish and broccoli. I had the roast beef. Absolutely delish. The sides: Mashed potatoes (real Potatoes) corn (beyond good) and mac and cheese ( very nice). We only had one issue, there was no wifi. POV: It's the middle of the winter, a cold yet cozy Sunday. You wake up, open the blinds, look outside and see pure white. A winter wonderland. It reminds you of being a kid again. The feeling of Christmas time. You're stomach is growling and all you can think about is Pancakes to start your day! But not just any pancakes... Cast-Iron, crispy around the edges, yet fluffy in the middle, perfectly browned, topped with butter and drenched in syrup Pancakes. You pair that with a huge extravagant fireplace, seemingly lit to brighten your mood more than the room. Ideally, this is the perfect start to a perfect day! Only one problem... nothing else will match. Your eggs will taste like they are from a hotels Continental breakfast, because everyone just loves those. You will order extra cheese on them, only for them to have no cheese at all. They will then take them back, and put cheese on it, only for your eggs to now be cold and cheese not be melted. You must then drench them in salt and pepper to now barely produce any flavor. Your meat will taste like pure rubber. The bacon will be undercooked, and the sausage will be over cooked. Your servers will see your completely glass empty, and continue to walk by you repeatedly. It will be items missing from your meal, all together. They will decide today is the day they shouldn't light up the fireplace. Should I even continue? I think you get the point... The pancakes are incredible, consistently. Across the nation these pancakes rival anyone's. If this is your sole reasoning for coming, you won't be disappointed. You will never be disappointed with the pancakes specifically. Wouldn't bother eating ANYTHING else on the menu. Service is below average. It has the feel of a chain, mainly because it is. Workers there to pass the time by, not to render excellent service. No complaints from me as long as they do the bare minimum, but not even willing to do that (e.g not filling up your glass unless requested). The best thing about the ambiance is catching the beautiful fireplace lit on a snowy winter day. If you can sit right in front of it, it's sure to boost your overall experience. Sometimes they don't even do their due diligence of lighting it. Overall can't go past 2 stars. Honorable mention to the aesthetics of the shopping area. It always looks phenomenal. I love the shopping at this place more than the food. Food is homemade and many of the dishes are very good. I had the fish this time. It was ok. Not very crispy as I had hoped. Husband had breakfast. He loves the pancakes and bacon but not the sausage. It's not the type of sausage you usually think of for breakfast. At least not what we think of. It's very mealy. I ordered the roast beef dinner for take-out. The food was on time and warm when I picked it up. But the roast beef, described as "tender" was stringy, chewy,overcooked and completely unseasoned. The mashed potatoes were really terrible (what restaurant screws up mashed potatoes?). They were lumpy, gummy, grainy and stiff. They had chunks of unmashed and undercooked potato in them. They were also unseasoned and came with a tablespoon of brown gravy (which was maybe okay since the brown gravy was bad, with absolutely zero beef flavor. The carrots and green beans were overcooked, but I like them that way (though they, too, were completely unseasoned. They have something against even a little salt).
