We got the Crackhead breakfast sandwich - the bun was soft and fluffy, the bacon was perfectly cooked, melty cheddar and I really liked that the egg was over medium... that is my preferred doneness for yolks because I'm one of the few who don't really care for a runny, messy yolk. The breakfast burrito was exactly how I always wish every breakfast burrito could be - generous amount of melted cheese and the eggs, bacon, sausage and tots were all mixed together so that every bite was THE PERFECT BITE!! We went here last weekend after making a weekend trip out to Oceanside! We were looking for a place that we thought would be rather quick as we had our newborn baby with us. This place took FORVEVER. I would consider my husband and I rather patient people and by the time our food came I had almost completely lost it. I would say it took a good 30-40 minutes for it to come out after we ordered. Staff is always friendly. Great for breakfast/brunch! Even better for taco Tuesdays. My personal favorite drink would be the pomegranate calfino as it doesn't taste overly sweet and packs a nice punch. I absolutely love coming here! It's always a good time with good drinks. They do serve breakfast items, although I've never had any yet. The bartenders are knowledgeable and can pretty much make you any drink. The last time my husband and I went out was a Friday night. We sat in the back corner at the high tops behind the bar. Since it was the weekend, it was packed. Our waitress, Brittney, was amazing. Cute red head, super friendly, and very charismatic. We also had our 7 month old son with us, we were dancing and having a great time. Whoever was choosing the music station that night picked the right one. Every time we've gone we've had amazing service. I highly recommend coming here, even for a quick drink before heading into town for dinner or a night out. My boyfriend and I have been here before COVID, the outdoor setting was cool, and we enjoyed being outside. Since then they added a second story, and we were kind of excited that it added more space that was still outside. We rode our beach cruisers past them on Presidents day, and saw a sign posted at their entrance about the safety precautions that they were enforcing. The sign actually prompted us to stop and order a drink since the upstairs was empty aside from one other person. Unfortunately, it all went downhill, and we were really disappointed that we stopped. First, they never wiped down our table after the previous people left, nor did they didn't offer to wipe it down when they saw us trying to wipe down the mess that was still on the table. Then after we ordered our drinks and appetizer, we ended up waiting over 15 minutes (after we finally got our drinks) for our fries to come out. To add to the frustration the fries weren't even hot when they arrived. Then they literally let a large party of 12 break every rule they had posted on their COVID sign. They let the party of 12 move around the tables and chairs, and then proceeded to allow some of the large party stand around the tables they had pushed together. We were extremely disappointed in the restaurant and their lack of effort to enforce any of the rules that they posted at the entrance of the restaurant. In a normal setting this place can be a decent place to grab a drink, but in terms of COVID they are a complete fail. read more

There's supposedly a happy hour menu, but we weren't informed of any specials... so that's a bummer. Place is cool. Big, win some turf grass, picnic tables and a bar. Drinks were decent, need more cocktails choices. I really dislike how they let kids kick balls here. There were 4 kids playing soccer/kicking a ball around and jumping on the corn holes box. (Some adults who were playing were not able to play...) Seriously ruined the happy hour vibe as I had to watch out for a flying ball potentially hitting my drink or dog. Total Buzz kill. On our way home from San Diego we stopped in Carlsbad for breakfast and stumbled upon Crackheads. What a unique dining experience. They have a bar, and then an outdoor space with tables, picnic tables, artificial grass with cornhole games for the kids. We sat at a high top table on a beautiful Southern California morning and had coffee, Avocado Toast and a Tot breakfast style casserole. The avocado was creamy and covered the toast, then fresh tomatoes topped with crisp bacon and was topped with a soft egg. The minute the egg was cut into, the creamy yolk ran over the bacon, tomatoes avocado and toast, yum! The tot and egg dish was scrumptious. Pieces of Carne Asada and bacon were tossed into the crisp and crunchy tots, topped with cheese, onions and a soft egg. As soon as I cut into the egg, like the avocado toast, the yolk ran over the tots filling the crevices. It was rich, and salty which is the perfect breakfast for me. read more

Normally I won't write bad reviews, but during a time like this when employers don't enforce safety rules and fail to lead by example there is something to be said. When we got there the owner walked up with no mask and told us to sit where we wanted. The whole time we were there he never once wore his mask. We went there they never informed us that their kitchen was closing, and that they had cosmic burgers coming in. The waitress said it would be about 10 minutes for the burgers to get set up in the 30 minutes we were there they never did finish setting up.
