1 lb. Alaskan King Crab Legs

Alaskan King Crab Legs - just "okay." Texture - not great Tips were still cold (obviously just defrosted). Flavor - "okay" - not great. Not a lot of crab meat on those legs. Costco is a better value - better texture - better flavor. At $84 at Crackling Crab - they should've been much better. Service okay. It's very barebones casual - laid back. We had the garlic noodles - also just "okay" - not great. Our bill was is in the $140 range (we shared the Alaskan King Crab legs). The crab was on the scrawny side. We've had better. We only had the crab, garlic noodles and some beer. We were hoping for better. We won't be repeat customers.

Think Boiling Crab BUT without the crowd and long wait times. You can even make a large group reservation. We got the Cajun fries which had a tasty seasoning on there. addictive. The garlic noodles are very garlicky and a good portion. For shrimp they offer peeled or unpeeled with the head still on and For the sauce GET CRACKIN MIX (lemon pepper, garlic , and Cajun) it's already mild heat but get it Spicy. Really flavorful and good amount of heat. The crab was really good. Fresh and with that nice sweet taste to it. You will get your hands dirty and smell of garlic for days but it's worth it. Service was attentive and there's a parking lot right in the back. Very convenient.

Service was good. They bring you everything you want. It just took a while for the food to come out. - Michelada 3.1/5 It was OK. You can choose whatever beer you want. - Combo #2 with Dungeness & Shrimp 5/5 Everything was cooked well. The crab was fresh. Got the hottest sauce on the side (extra $5) and it was not that spicy. - Snow Crab Legs Regular snow crab legs, nothing special. Parking in lot in the street or across the street.

First off the servers are 5 stars!! They work super hard and are super nice!! The food is good though the menu is rather limited. The shrimp, shrimp sliders, garlic noodles and garlic broccoli were very tasty but the gumbo was lacking. We did have an issue that only half our order came out initially and the rest came out significantly later. It's in a very cute location with convenient parking. The ambiance is basic but clean and family oriented. They have TVs around with various sports playing. It's not too loud that you can't have conversations. We have been twice and definitely we be back many more times.

Wanted Cajun style seafood so I placed a phone order for some crawfish, shrimp, and clams with corn and sausage. Order was ready in 15 min. Do yourself a favor and order the seafood with the crackin' mix (lemon pepper, garlic, and Cajun) extra spicy because anything less just won't do. I appreciated the limes, bibs, and the roll of paper provided to make the takeout meal just as great as dining in.

I came here for lunch and I had the one pound option with shrimp x2 and mussels. If you double up on anything there is a $2 charge. I had it in mild which was okay. The garlic noodles were good too. The wings were on the smaller side, but still worth a try.

This place was an unexpected HOMERUN! I came here to celebrate a dear friend's birthday and we intentionally picked a place that could be kid friendly as we had 3 boys ranging in ages 8, 9, & 10. The restaurant was spacious and a bit mellow since it was a 5PM dinner on a Sunday. But it was perfect for us as the boys got their own kids table and the adults sat a table in front and everyone truly had a blast. I was gleefully blown away at this restaurant because I've been around to try the other Boiling Crabs, Crabby Crab, etc. So I had minimal expectations as all the other ones I've been to were good but not GREAT. Then I tried Cracking Crab last night and you can throw all the other similar joints out the window. HANDS DOWN this place WINS for being the BEST! The crab was juicy, tender, and moist. The mussels and peeled shrimp marinated to perfection. I know the biggest trick to it all is their "CRACKIN MIX" which is the combination of All their spice options you could choose from. I am truly an avid fan and I get hungry thinking about going back. We got the following below: COMBO 3 -CRACKIN MIX (ALL SPICES) -BLACK MUSSEL -PEELED SHRIMP $2 -GARLIC BROCCOLI $8.95 -CAESAR SALAD $7.95 -COLE SLAW $4.95 -GARLIC NOODLES $10.95 -2x CHICKEN TENDER $25.90 w/ FRIES -STEAMED RICE $2.50 -2x sparkling water $6 -1 Ranch $.75 Nom...Nom...Nom...feed me!

It's a nice large place without the overwhelming line of patrons at some similar locations, but it's a welcoming ambience, the staff was pleasant and efficient and the combo options are a nice way to decide/order quickly. I do like that the food selection came in one big bowl instead of in individual bags; makes it a lot easier and cleaner to start grubbin' right away. Despite there only being 2 servers, out drinks never got past 1/2 way before they were being filled and the guys were always (in a pleasant, non-annoying way) checking in on our needs. Everything was fresh and hot and flavorful and we were just stuffed when leaving.

Bloody hell -- Cajun Craving is the spot. I walked in expecting solid seafood. I walked out…read morewondering how the hell they haven't been handed a Michelin star already. Let's start with the Cajun shrimp: perfectly cooked, tender, and absolutely drenched in a sauce so flavorful it should come with a warning label. Not salty, not greasy -- just balanced, bold, and outrageously addictive. You taste it once and immediately know someone in that kitchen actually gives a damn. And the crab legs... my god. HUGE, sweet, and steamed to perfection. You crack into them and it's like opening a treasure chest -- except instead of gold, it's pure, buttery, Cajun-kissed heaven. Now the sausage -- whoever seasons that deserves a raise. It doesn't just sit in the bag like an afterthought. It has its own flavor, completely over the top in the best possible way. Smoky, spicy, rich... it punches through the boil like it's auditioning for its own dish. But the real sleeper hit? THE GREEN SAUCE. Off. The. Chain. A straight-up flavor knockout -- bright, herby, tangy, and absolutely lethal in the way good sauces should be. It elevates everything you dip it in. I could drink it. I won't -- but I could. The whole experience? Different -- but in that rare, memorable, "I need to come back tomorrow" kind of way. Cajun Craving is easily one of the best seafood boils in LA. No nonsense, no shortcuts, just pure, serious, crafted flavor. Five stars. Easy. Gordon Ramsay approved.

I looked around and found this place on Yelp. We had never heard of it, so I thought we should give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Also, what a catchy name. We walked in around 5:40pm on a Tuesday and the place was completely empty. We were greeted by Alex who was the main star of the evening. He was so kind, gentle, soft spoken and honest. Truly a great employee who cares about his job and customers! The same goes for Angelo, who also waited on us, brought out our food and anything else we needed, like extra lemon wedges and hot sauce. The service was truly superb in every way! They both checked on us several times. Now for the food. Everything was simply delicious and fresh. The prices were appropriate for the portions and we both throughly enjoyed our food. I got their Surf and Turf with Ribeye and Grilled Jumbo Shrimp (3pc). For my sides, I added on Caesar Salad and Jambalaya Rice (comes with sausage, chicken, and shrimp). Each side was $2.35 extra. Although it was all tasty and properly made, I'm not going to order ribeye steak anymore from now on. It's always too fatty for my taste, and it's not the restaurant's fault. It's just how the meat is. My son got their Grilled Salmon plate and chose White Rice and Sautéed Veggies as his sides. He was very happy with his dish and didn't leave any crumbs on his plate. He said everything was seasoned properly and the veggies were cooked perfectly/very flavorful. This place is such a hidden gem in Glendale. In all my years of coming to this city, I can't believe I've never noticed it. They have great food with great service in a clean, comfy and homey environment. More people started to show up for dinner time and the vibes got even better. The blues music they were playing really hit the mark and made a great addition to the experience. In my opinion, the big TVs they have are unnecessary. (This isn't a sports bar). They have a BIG parking lot and one bathroom for each gender. My son said the men's restroom was clean, but the women's could have used a little touch up. There's a lot of love in this restaurant! Thank you Alex, Angelo, management and Crab Avenue.

The place is a registered business (or else you couldn't list yourself on Google Maps) Besides... you live in LA and have survived danger dogs. That A rating should help you feel relieved, either way. If not, the smile you receive as you get the food hopefully will. You have to go up a few stairs on the left to get to the spot. Don't worry, there's signs that'll tell you where it is. Parking situation is a rough during rush hour but you should be able to squeeze in the street. You get some beads with your food, which is cute. Sounds like a fun thing to get if you ordered delivery while you're drinking at home (or work) with friends. So yeah, the food is great. It's super well made. The quality is what I was hoping for from a place that specialized in gumbo. Much like how I would expect the ramen to be good when they serve nothing but ramen. 100% recommend getting the cornbread with the gumbo, btw. I totally ate most of it while I was driving home so I'd say I recommend getting extra. (they're conveniently bite sized. I couldn't help. Lol)
