We made an intentional stop here from Manhattan because Craft Bagels was our favorite stand at the NYC Bagel Fest 2026! However, the bagels in the store were not good... The bagels looked plump and great but turned out to be extremely dry! We enjoyed the apple french toast special but it also seemed like it was sitting out for too long when we stopped by around 12. No place to sit. No bathroom inside.

The bagels are always fresh, fluffy and have the right chew always. Service is great from the chefs to the front staff and the girl at the register is always are so nice about giving our lil one a ducky during our visits :) it makes his day The inside is always kept clean and they decorate for the different times of the year. Berkeley Heights definitely found itself a gem and permanent Bagel staple for downtown which we're pumped about. Thanks to all the staff there, they always hustle and pump things out quick!

This was the amount of butter given on my bagel, and this is common practice. Should I ask for "extra butter" just to get a normal amount?

Appreciate that they have been putting more butter on lately! It's usually just the right amount for me.

    Fresh avocado ????

It's really a hit or miss at this point to order from here. Today's experience 02/12/2026 was by the worst. I'm adding a picture to show you why.

One of my favorite bagel places in the area. Pork roll egg and cheese is the way to go! The cheddar jalapeno bagel looks and tastes different here than at most places.

Stopped at this location as I was in the area. Ordered a THEC SPK, coffee and pumpkin French toast bagel with butter. The service was decent. The bagel was excellent. The coffee was Jamaica me nuts and very good. The ambiance was that of a bagel shop. No place to eat inside. The THEC SPK was mediocre. The Taylor ham was cooked well with char which is good. There were 2 eggs on the roll but the cheese wasn't melted. The SPK I could actually taste pepper. The roll was too big for the egg sandwich. It tasted good but there a lot of room for improvement. I'll be back only for the coffee and bagels not for the egg sandwiches. I'm on the fence if I should recommend. I recommend for the bagels.

Cream cheese with a hint of lox

Three and a half. Excellent service by a trio of high school/college age young women who were friendly, efficient. Fairly good bagels, not great. Typical bagel joint with a small space and self-serve coffee machines. I got a medium container of cream cheese and lox spread: good cream cheese, but the lox is AWOL. Street parking on busy Springfield Avenue. I gotta go looking for that lox ... where could it have gone?

Love the bagels. Crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. These will not satisfy you if you prefer the traditional H&H bagels.

Forgot my avocado on the skimpiest egg sandwich I've seen in some time. Thanks for the bread sandwich. Never again.

Bagels are perfect and the sandwiches are very good. They have the right meat to egg to cheese ratio.

The owner, Carolina, was warm and charming as was the waitress, Amira, who provided great service. We started with Argentine beef empanadas as a starter. For lunch I ordered the beef milanesa platter with French fries, while my wife had the chicken milanesa sandwich. Both dishes were generous in portion and full of flavor, just the kind of hearty, home-style fare I love from Argentine cafés. We also picked up a sandwich de miga to take home--a crustless ham and cheese sandwich that was simple, delicate, and satisfying. I'd rate both the meal and the sandwich an easy 8 out of 10. The café itself has a welcoming, local feel, and visiting on a weekday kept things peaceful. I learned they offer fresh Argentine pastries on weekends, which sounds like a perfect reason for a return visit soon. Patria Station Café is a great spot for authentic flavors, big portions, and a pleasant, laid-back experience.

This popular cafe is located right in the heart of Basking Ridge. It's small inside but there's outdoor seating also. We had a half hour wait for a table inside. The place has a very cozy feel to it and everyone we met who worked here was very friendly. I started my meal with a Vanilla Chai Latte and my wife had a Macha Latte. My wife ordered the Blintzes with blueberries and I had the Paris Morning breakfast. We both loved the food! My dish came with 2 potato pancakes, 2 poached eggs, and smoked salmon. Just delicious! A cool bit of trivia is that Paul McCartney and his wife stopped in here a few years ago. We didn't see Paul today, but we did enjoy the experience!

Glad we didn't because we got great service at the bar and a lot the people in the 2 chair tables were still there enjoying their meals when we were leaving. What we ordered: - Steak and Eggs (Grilled NY strip steak, two sunny side up eggs, breakfast potatoes with Chimichurri sauce) - Eggs Benny (Two poached eggs, thick cut candied applewood bacon on toasted baguette, topped with Hollandaise sauce served with grilled asparagus) - Lemonade The food was very good. I prefer my breakfast potatoes crispy so I didn't finish those but everything else cooked to perfection. This place was on my list for a while now so I'm glad I was able to cross it off and would recommend it!

From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Our server was attentive and professional, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and quietly classy--ideal for a relaxed lunch and conversation. I started with the Candy Roaster Squash & Coconut Soup, a vegan dish with a warm, sweet, and hearty flavor profile. It was absolutely perfect on a cold winter day. For my entrée, I ordered the Brewer's Burger with pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, rosemary aioli, and a side of frites. The flavors came together beautifully--salty, sweet, and savory notes all working in harmony. Truly a dance in your mouth. One additional detail worth noting: the gender-neutral accessible restroom was spotless and had a very pleasant odor. It was top-notch, just like everything else about this restaurant. I would absolutely return.

Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment from the moment we arrived. We were the only people there, yet the floor around our table was dirty with old Goldfish crackers and blueberries. We ordered the banana bread appetizer, an egg tortilla bowl, a western omelet, and two kids' waffles. The banana bread appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our food arrived, and everything was ice cold. The breakfast potatoes tasted old, as if they had been made the day before. While it wasn't ideal, we tried to be understanding since it was a holiday and the staff may have been overwhelmed. The highlight of the meal was the fresh-squeezed orange juice that we enjoyed with our BYOB champagne. However, no one checked on our table during the meal, and I eventually had to stop someone just to ask for the check. When reviewing the bill, I realized the kids' waffles seemed more expensive than expected. Sure enough, we had been overcharged for each one. When I politely questioned it, I was told, "That's the price in our register," and the staff gave me a hard time about correcting it. After asking again, they reluctantly handed me cash for the difference. The waitress was rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. Overall, it was such a disappointing experience, especially compared to how much we enjoyed it last year. Sadly, we'll be choosing a different spot for Mother's Day brunch next year.

Worst dining experience I've had in a long time--if not ever…read more To start, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Our waitress was just fine, but it was clear she lacked proper training in basic service and restaurant etiquette. Honestly I don't think she wanted to be there, was wearing sweatpants and could barely hear her when she spoke. The issues with the food began right away. I ordered a fruit cup for my son and was initially told they didn't have fruit--despite it being listed on the menu. After pointing that out, it was brought to the table, but the fruit was clearly spoiled, especially the strawberries. They had tried to cut around the rotten parts, which was honestly disgusting and concerning given this was being served to a 2-year-old. We immediately sent it back. I ordered a burger with sautéed onions, but it came out with just a few small slivers of what turned out to be pickled onions instead. The burger itself looked incredibly lackluster. I ended up sending it back and, at that point, was completely turned off from ordering anything else. I also wasn't asked if I'd like to order a replacement, there was no apology, no accountability, just a blank stare while the plate was taken away. To make matters worse, we were still charged $6 for the fries that came with the burger, which my son had started eating before I sent it back. I hadn't taken a single bite of the actual meal. My husband's "Kobe beef" sliders came with bacon that was completely inedible, so he had to remove it. My mom ordered eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon but received regular (inedible) bacon instead, and my father's meal was served cold. Overall, the quality of the food across the table was just poor. The bathrooms were also in rough condition. The women's toilet seat was loose and coming off the hinges, I nearly fell. The bill came to $146 after tip, which felt like a complete waste given the experience. Afterward, we actually drove across the street so I could grab chicken soup elsewhere because I left hungry. This was our second time giving this place a chance, and unfortunately, it will be our last.
