We stopped in here for lunch with my brother. The burgers are HUGE! The menu isn't that extensive, but the food that they serve is great. I had the Western Burger and it was freaking STACKED full of toppings. It was possibly the best burger ever. My husband had the chili cheese burger and the sweet potato fries. I wish I'd gotten some of his fries. Hah. I'd say their prices are on par with what I pay for a good meal in LA. It wasn't crazy expensive. They have a small patio that's dog friendly. Concept is great - really nice neighborhood bar that is totally vegan with lots of outdoor seating and good for people watching. Not sure what brings you to Morgan Hill but it was a great pit stop with a relaxed but upbeat ambience on the 101 for us on a road trip. The host was friendly and sat us right away on a Friday night. She offered her favorites from the menu which included buffalo appetizer and the pizzas. We enjoyed the warm seasonal vegetable bowl which included kale, potato, cauliflower, zucchini, and carrots. The server recommended adding maitake mushrooms and we really enjoyed it! We liked the sausage mushroom pizza. Very tasty! I expected this to be a white pizza in my head but it had tomato sauce. Yummy and really nice texture on that crust! You can opt for cauliflower crust if you want. I love white pizzas so this could be a great addition to menu. Would definitely come back on next road trip from the bay. No service issues, the staff was super attentive and warm. Wow, this place was delicious. I had the cornflake fried king oyster mushroom sandwich and chili cheeze fries. My daughter had the kids mini beyond burger. She finished the whole burger herself so I know she liked it. The mushroom sandwich was amazing. The restaurant is clean and inviting, a little cold so next time I'll bring a light jacket. The service was great and the server seemed happy which changed the dining mood to a more positive experience. I don't see happy service much anymore which isn't a bad thing but it's a breath of fresh air to have a happy experience. read more

After driving past this place, I was curious and planned to go for my Birthday lunch. It worked out great as it was also the day that was their grand Opening. Decorated hip and casual, I was surprised to see the small, yet cozy bar there. This would definitely be a great place to come have one of their locally crafted beers or signature cocktail. We opted for a table and our server was very helpful explaining the menu. Our Appetizer was the Buffalo Cauliflower the sauce was seasoned with a slight kick and the cauliflower was crisp, and fresh. It truly gave the feel of the true Buffalo sauce. We decided on the Western BBQ burger and Chilli Cheeze burger. Both were presented very nicely on metal trays and very filling. We added the bacon Tempeh and it added to the flavor. I was a little disappointed that they were beyond burgers and not impossible burgers. Beyond burgers can be bought in stores but the Impossible burger is sold exclusively to restaurants. It would be nice to be able to get the taste of the Impossible burger since you just cannot go out and buy it and the flavor is definitely elevated from the beyond burger. But, it was still very delicious. I would have liked a definition of what the Cheeze was. Both came with your choice of sides and the salads were perfect. The Miso dressing was incredible and elevated the salad. I had hoped for more selections for Lunch and maybe some other alternatives then fried. We enjoyed our lunch and am so glad to have this type of restaurant in the area. It is a great alternative to the others in Morgan Hill and certainly worth the drive from San Jose. I didn't tell my picky 11 and 7 year old the burgers were vegan and they never knew. They loved them! My carnivore husband loved it too. The gluten free bun option was fantastic - it didn't fall apart and was tasty. Their fryer is dedicated gluten free so I can even have French fries confidently. We went on a Friday night - it was super easy to get on the waitlist for outdoor seating via Yelp. DT Morgan Hill was hopping. The streets were packed and it was fun to people and car watch (lot of vintage cars driving around) while sitting on their outdoor table. We ordered the cauli bites, 2 chili cheese burgers, 1 CR burger , 1 kids pizza and the special pizza of the night. The pizzas were good enough but I was not a big fan of their beyond burger. Based on the food quality and taste I would rate this establishment a 5/5. We ordered the bbq burger and the cauliflower wings, both of which were very tasty. The food here would suffice a non vegans appetite like myself. They used a beyond meat patty which was really good. Unfortunately when I went they were out of a type of cheese so we didn't get to try certain items from the menu. The drink selection was diverse and had something there for everyone in our party. On the contrary I was not a fan of the kombucha they had on draft. It was a hibiscus flavored one that all sweet and no tart. Ultimately it tasted like cherry cough syrup to me. The service quality I would rate a 4/5. The server was attentive and kind however they did not seem too familiar with the menu and seemed lost when asked about certain items. 5 stars for the menu! I love that this menu had a mix of lighter/nutritious options and also some more indulgent options. I also like that they had some options with Beyond Meat products, and some that were more plant-forward with plant-based ingredients. If you are a vegan who doesn't enjoy cooking, I would def recommend this place. That being said, since I really enjoy cooking and do it a lot, I felt like a lot of the menu items were things I could make easily at home, and preferred my home-cooked version as well. The buffalo cauliflower bites were soo good! Loved that they were crunchy and saucy. I didn't love the mac and cheeze because the sauce wasn't as creamy as other vegan mac and cheezes I have tried. My favorite was actually the margherita pizza! I loved the crust and sauce, and that they included some other veggies in addition to the cheese. I also got to try the buffalo sandwich with tempura mushrooms it was just ok as well. Love the concept of tempura mushrooms, but I think the ratio of mushroom to tempura skin was a little off so it was more chewy than crunchy. Solid spot! Never had a meal in Morgan Hill before but it was a perfect spot to meet after work for a bestie date! Tables were well spaced apart inside so that was nice. The grilled veggies (fresh and cooked perfectly so they weren't over or under done), Buffalo cauliflower (very tangy) and "sausage" pizza (slightly salty but chewy yummy crust) were all good. Oh my GOODNESS This restaurant made me want to move to Morgan Hill and stop preparing my own meals. I am hoping they hurry and start taking over, like pods, all of the fast food locations in California, eradicating the poison, hence clearing up the health issues of all of our residents by feeding us all this magnificent fare. CRAFT ROOTS - Their food is so creatively delicious and at the same time so beautifully nutritious - a veritable color wheel of pleasure flavors that after eating you feel like you have not only tons of energy, (and not a sugar high), but also, on your way out the door, you can tell you are at least 30% more beautiful, for sure on the inside.
