The painting, (which I never tried) the food (which is AMAZING) beverages ( which I give a 0 stars) The Food Section - you get FIVE STARS They have the most delicious quiche and grilled cheese sandwich and their tomato soup is out of this world and pairs perfectly with the quiche or grilled cheese perfectly. My addiction is their croissant (not heated) generously filled with freshly mascarpone that is infused with top shelf or better Grand Mariner and they are NOT stingy with the alcohol giving you a true decadent taste of the alcohol. The staff who prepares are VERY NICE and service is always with a warm smile. Beverages - I like chai latte and FRESH and without an attitude when I question you about how the chai is made when I see you are using instant chai mix from a container from Pacific brands . I told the guy I would give it a try and when I did it taste DISGUSTING like murky milk with an disgusting after taste. He had the nerve to give me a bit of a attitude and struggle to get a refund, and tells me everyone in Reno uses the same for their chai latte / THEY DO NOT I told him- He wanted to argue with me over that- finally my food arrived for take out by a gentleman with a nice warm smile and I New My Food As Always will be a decadent meal made with quality ingredients and love As per the painting classes - I am a collector not a painter. Took my mom to this on our weekend getaway. She was terrified at first saying she can't paint to save her life and isn't artsy or whatever. Fast forward 2 hours she was painting her ass off like Van Gogh. She and I both enjoyed it. The fellow painters were funny and supportive, and the instructor was upbeat (with a kickass playlist) as well. NONE of us had painting experience. They teach you step by step. Very fun but super packed. I was there for the red bird night on Dec 9, and the teacher and painting were excellent. We had an absolute blast and all left very satisfied with the evening. Venue is super adorable and spotlessly clean. Front of house needs some optimization... The line to check in literally look 20 minutes, painfully slow. Check in and food/drink orders were all handled from the same little iPad station, and it clogged up the whole event. I believe we started about 30min late (at least), which meant the night ended a lot later than I would have hoped. We also would probably have ordered double the snacks and drinks if we had been able to do so easily. 5 stars for the teacher and venue, 3 stars for the way it was run. If you have not tried Crafted Palette, you must! I don't have an artistic bone in my body, but my painting came out looking ok! We had a groupon for 4, and the total price was $74. Drinks and food are extra. Wine, beer, liquor, and prices are reasonable. There is food and small desserts. This is the second time we've been and we will go again ! The instructor walks you through your painting step by step. The total length of the session is about 2 hours. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't use my $10 off $20 restaurant.com certificate because of the groupon. It's best to park at the Parking Gallery on Sierra and Crafted Palette validates parking for you. The themes change all the time and you can look at the themes online. read more

The best paint and sip place in Nevada! I love the team here and the food is outstanding. My favorite thing that sets this place apart is how varied the artists styles are, so you can always try new techniques and create different kinds of art to decorate your house or give presents to your friends! I always swing by here for coffee during the weekday (I work downtown and it's super close) and weekends=BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS BABY!! Wow the first time we ate their stuffed French toast it was perfection! A five star taste - the slightly tart strawberries acidity balanced out the sweetened cream cheese and the toast was moist inside and crispy outside. It took a little time but well worth the wait; it was made by older gentleman with beard. The scrambled eggs done to perfection yet still moist. It was so good that the next morning we went again - and all four of us ordered the stuffed French toast. This time it was served quickly but simply mediocre, the interior of the French toast wasn't battered, the female chef put cream cheese and grilled the exterior two toast without grilling both sides of each toast. Portions of the toast was burnt. Also the portion of cream cheese was skimpy. The eggs were overdone and bacon not as crispy as day before. The beef Wellington pastie was good, Italian style pastie meatball tasted like canned, and the Tuscany style pastie chicken was too dry. Of the pop up pies only the beef Wellington tasted good. Their high quality coffee is definitely worth a stop. All in all we would try it again (after 11 am when the male cook arrives). read more

I had been eating at a place around the corner and decided to try Crafted Palette for a change of pace. Big mistake. I ended up waiting 28 minutes for a mediocre breakfast sandwich. The guy up front was trying to provide good service, but the kitchen couldn't keep up, even though they had only 2-3 orders. After 20 minutes of waiting patiently, it was clear that they prioritized bigger orders ahead of mine. After 25 minutes, with my family still waiting in the car, I asked for a refund. A brunette woman came out from the back, handed my my order, and said "they threw this together for you if you still want it." This person clearly didn't give AF about my order. No apology and no attempt to make amends. When I finally got my food, it looked (and tasted) reheated. There's no way I would ever return to this place when the cafe around the corner has better food and faster, friendlier service. read more

She rushed through the instructions and wasn't much of a help when were lost. None of our paintings turned out like the original one, not even hers. I didn't take a painting class but I came in for a light brunch after travelling from DC. I had originally intended to go someplace else, but it was closed and this place looked decent. I'm glad I went. The guy behind the counter was really friendly and suggested a waffle with egg, Havarti, bacon and a wine sauce. It really was a nice combination of sweet, savory and acidic. The waffle was a legit belgian waffle with the pearled sugar in it. Service was very fast and the guy was very nice. It looked like a good wine selection and the drip coffee was better than expected. My 12 year old daughter and I happened upon this place while walking down to a festival over the summer. Killing time and ready to eat, it appeared to be the perfect mix. And it was! We both had quiche, I had a coffee, my daughter had juice. The quiche came with a salad and it was delicious. The quiche was good, not the best I've had but palatable. My daughter loves quiche and was a little disappointed that it wasn't bigger lol Painting: you can choose to be directed or paint on your own (materials provided $20). We painted on our own but the owner/employees would stop by and check in with us. This was my first time at a "paint & drink" studio, and I was not disappointed. It was a great option for date night. The atmosphere was causal, light, and fun. I felt creative and got great instruction from the resident artist. The location is nice and central, and the decor is nice with its authentic brick walls and palette tables. One quiet Sunday night, my boyfriend and I took a painting class at Crafted Palette. I had the two-for-one groupon, which is an amazing deal. The class we took was "Happy Trees," a Bob Ross themed class. Our instructor donned a big Afro wig and painted on a beard, and was absolutely wonderful. She had a sweet voice and patient demeanor, and was truly an amazing instructor. The other staff were incredible as well. The two gentlemen behind the bar were nice and funny, and one suggested the house Pinot Noir for me to try, which was really fantastic. The food here too, is wonderful! I had the homemade croissant with Ham and Gruyere, and I want it every day. I can definitely see myself coming back here, not only for painting nights, but for coffee and food as well. read more

Came here yesterday with a friend, to paint a mandolin design on a rock. We came in early so we can get a bite to eat . I got the cheese platter and it was very good . My friend got a waffle and he totally enjoyed it. The artist instructor, Kat, was funny and very helpful. Kat walked around and asked if any of us needed any help and commented on our work while gaving us some pointers. I've been to several paint classes in several Reno locations. I have to say that I like this one the best. Everyone who works here was very friendly and made sure we were having a good time. At the end of the class my friend and I got a cup of coffee while walking around the room and looking at everybody else's work. It was a wonderfully relaxing class. Very glad I went. read more

This was our favorite place we visited during our stay in Reno, I cannot say enough good things! My friends and I were looking for a place to hang out and enjoy the afternoon when we stumbled upon the crafted palette. The inside is filled to the brim with different art pieces for sale and the location is very colorful and fun. The light breakfast options that are offered were delicious and inexpensive, my group tried the stuffed French toast, the quiches, the croissant sandwiches and the bottomless mimosas. All of our food tasted great and the drinks were yummy as well. The highlight of the whole experience had to be the employees that were helping us, they were super kind and welcoming to our group and didn't mind that we stayed a bit longer just chatting the afternoon away. We returned for breakfast before making the drive back to CA, we were gifted a couple of painted wine glasses to remember them by. It was the icing on the cake for sure, we were very touched. I ended up visiting twice during my stay and we will definitely be stopping by again if we ever find ourselves in Reno, this time hopefully for a paint and sip session!
