We happened upon this place while walking around town and stuck gold! We had a lovely chat with the owners and ordered the Shirred eggs and the crafted croissant. Both delicious, but shirred eggs I'd come back for every morning. What a delightful place to be a regular. read more

This was only the second time I've been too one off these "classes". I had first been to Picasso and wine so I was judging this place off of them. I have to say I luv Crafted pallet! They people that work there are so nice. I had the bottomless mimosas and a danish. You really get your money's worth. The other place I went they have you small little glasses and have a cut off time. Crafted pallet gave you large glasses and no cut off time. I'm not trying to get drunk or anything but it's nice not to feel rushed and getting more that 2 drinks is cool. The instructor was really nice and helpful. Ill be going back again this week. What a wonderful escape from the garbage monsters that inhabit the desecrated unlivable city known as Reno. We had three delicious plates - the breakfast sandwich, cheese waffle, and a delectable chocolate croissant. The customer service was surprisingly warm and inviting, and no one tried to eat us! Their coffee actually tastes like real coffee, almost as if we were in a real city NOT overrun with garbage monsters. Just watch out - there are many garbage monsters nearby. read more

I've wanted to try a "paint and sip" for quite awhile, so my friend Gina and I decided on the rock mandala at Crafted Pallette on a Wed. night. It was a lot of fun. Kat did a great job of instructing in an entertaining way, and she even gave Gina the instructional painting she did. We enjoyed the cheese plate, a Belgian waffle with strawberries, wine, beer, coffee, and a bagel. I think a mandala is a good choice if you are not a natural artist; it is a pattern of dots, so it's hard to really mess up. It cost $25 each, and by using Living Social we could have saved $5.00 on the total of $50, but I'd rather have all the money go to a local business than have them split it with a remote corporation, so we paid the extra $5.00. The food and beverages were extra, and very worth the money. The servers were friendly and competent. Overall, it was a great experience that we both plan on doing again, and I highly recommend it to anyone. read more

David Hayes was our instructor, he made it fun to learn how to paint. Although I hate my painting and don't think it's a skill I will add to my resume, it was fun. After looking at the menu online I placed an order on Postmates . I ordered the stuffed french toast and hasbrowns . The food appeared to be good. When opening the hasbrowns there was barely any inside the box and the cost was $3.45 . Definitely not worth it . Additionally the stuffed french toast was great until I reached the middle and found a long hair interwined into the sandwich . I thought it could be my hair but the more I pulled the more I could see it was cooked into the sandwich. Definitely would not order here again and I do not recommend. read more

Great concept and good location, but there's a lot that needs to be worked on. Customer service is definitely lacking and not as friendly as it can be. The last time I was here, I was just coming to grab a caffeinated drink. A class was about to start and the instructor gave me a dirty look as if I was about to interrupt when they were barely just starting. I haven't been here many times enough to be able to gauge if their clientele through off a snooty vibe as some of those that work here or not. However, the barista last time seemed to be mindful of how she came off to those ordering drinks from here and she was nice and good at making small talk. Drinks are mediocre here as well. I had an absolute marvelous time painting at Crafted Palette. I have been to Crafted Palette on two occasions. I took a class from Karen and the other class from David. The style of these artists is different. Both were excellent hostess / teachers with their own personal talent. Karen was full of information about how to paint and applying the paint on the canvas. Karen viewed each painting with positive inspirations. There was a situation where the customer said a mistake was made and Karen responded with "there is way to fix everything we don't like". At the end, the customer was happy with her painting and Karen cheered up the customer with inspiration. David is funny. He was a good entertainer and the painting I worked on was lots of fun. I learned how to apply colors to the canvas and created an abstract painting of Nevada wild horses. The Crafted Palette also offers a full-menu with meal choices. The prices for the menu were reasonable. I will definitely return to Crafted Palette. Next time, I will go on a Sunday morning for one of their painting classes and have breakfast too. read more

We sought a good little breakfast joint and we found excellence at The Crafted Pallete! The Vertical Coffee was superb...I had a latte and my girlfriend had an Americano. The Crafted Croissant with egg was rich and delicious, and my girlfriend enjoyed the Cinnamon Apple Cranberry Kale Salad. Becky was awesome as she made excellent suggestions and was extremely friendly with her service. If you love quality coffee, fine foods, and artistic culture, this is the place for you! read more

Most horrible service ever received. The lady cashier has a chip on her shoulder and aint afraid to show it. The scrambled egg was browned and tasted horrible, and i was the only person in the place at the time. How do you screw up a scrambled egg for your only customer and burn it, on top of treating them like youre utterly miserable to be serving them? The cashier wasnt afraid to hold back complaints and harsh tones - simply for asking for ketchup. Seriously.. If that wasnt the owner she sure acts like she owns the place, and if she was the owner she sure doesnt have a clue how to run a business. I dont know how this place is running.. The only good thing about it was the location. what a waste. Doughboys egg sandwhich is 10X better and so is their service. And they are lucky if they get $20 for one of their amateur paintings.. so overpriced.. read more

I brought my husband today because I seriously think this is the best coffee I have ever had. A very nice lady made my coffee today. The hubby used the 50% check in deal for a mocha, and we also bought the greek quiche. OMG the quiche was so. damn. good. It was really big for only $4.00! The crust was so flakey and the eggs so fluffy. . . . I can't wait to go back again. Of course, the coffee was excellent. I even convinced him to try a paint night with me one night. I can't wait! Took a group here and we had such a great time! David was so positive and made us release our inner creativity! One member of our group didn't touch her cell phone for over two hours. Unheard of! Love everything about this place ! Shirred eggs and iced carmel Machiatto made by Jillian are my faves for breakfast. Lady that owns the place and her son chill people with big hearts and go out of their way to make it a great place to have fun with painting and enjoying a meal and cocktails at the same time. New happy hour is cool with refreshing ,different and specialty cocktail menu. Lavender cocktail and pulled pork sliders my favorite for happy hour, nachos really good too. Boomie and David are my favorite artist, they keep it fun. I miss Carly !!! Did not realize they serve breakfast, lunch, AND coffee! I couldn't speak for their food, but I like their cappuccino. They use Temple Coffee (Sacramento) which is one of my favorite west coast roasters, on par with Sightglass and Four Barrel, both in SF. In fact, they might be the only place in Reno where I could get a cup of Temple. Tables are made of recycled pallets, walls are exposed brick. Nice little quiet nook! I might have to come back for that poulet brie sandwich for lunch one of these days! read more

The hubby and I visited RENO for or anniversary so I booked us a paint and sip. This place was so cute. It was our first time ever doing anything like this. The staff was very friendly and helpful the people who was in the class was also very nice. They made us first timers feel very welcomed and although our paintings looked crappy they made sure to lift our spirits and tell us how beautiful they were. It was a good experience. Had a few days to kill in Reno and came here each morning for breakfast and work on my computer. As I sat in the corner pounding away on my keyboard, a steady stream of diverse people came in to eat, drink and hang out. It's an old building, so not many places to plug in a laptop, but the food, drinks, and service was very nice. Went with 4 other girls for a fun Saturday afternoon and had an amazing experience. I have attended a similar painting class elsewhere and found that the instructor moved way too fast and because there were so many of us in the class, it was hard to see the exact motions being made/the techniques used. Shannon, our instructor, did such a great job of making sure it was slow enough to understand and was very friendly so asking for help was easy. One of the girls in my group did not like the way a part of her painting looked and Shannon came over and helped her "fix" it. I had looked at the painting we were assigned before we came in and was nervous that it was too gloomy (I love color and the only color present was an icy blue) but Shannon allowed us to use purple if we wanted which really made the painting amazing. I booked a day date for my mom & 2 sisters. We had so much fun & really enjoyed ourselves! However; although I prefer this venue to the other businesses like it I REALLY wish they would update their picture selection. It doesn't seem current with today's trends.
